Lovely place to eat on the weekends, different types of foods.

Great hotel! I love decor and this place is a 9/10 — the photos don't do it justice. Importantly, the room is very spacious, the bed really comfortable, the layout is really clever and modern, and everything all is shiny, new and spotless! The handwritten welcome note and baggie of goodies were a lovely touch! I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back! Easy access via tram, but I chose to walk to the centre and discover some gems along the way.

LOVELY hotel with a boutique feel. The decorations are unique and the staff members are SO friendly. Gaby and Ginny (i think) helped check us in. The process was extremely quick. The rooms were very clean and comfy beds. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Amsterdam. We will definitely return during our next visit.

It was an expensive hotel but it's worth. I had an amazing room right on the middle of the hotel but there is no view. The location is great. Very clean, beautiful decorated interior.

Lovely chic hotel. Very unique design. Friendly staff. They even had live music and an antique market in the main lobby one evening during our stay. Just a short walk to the food hall with lots of dining options.

Great place to stay in Amsterdam. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, storing our luggage until we could check in. They even moved it to our room so it was there waiting for is. The room was very nice and quiet. The bathroom was a luxury with deep soaking tub and separate rainfall shower. Although the restaurant looked nice and was always popular, there are also dozens of eating options in the Foodhallen right next door.

Amazing place! We stayed in one of the apartments and had a great time. Everything is very clean, well designed, and the apartment is fully furnished and equipped. Feels like living in a place that's between an apartment and a five star hotel. Comfortable beds, great kitchen to cook at, and a supermarket 3 min walk. Close to city center and to the tram station. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything we needed, from the minute we got there till the minute we left, even after we checked out. Only minus is that it's on the second floor without an elevator, and that there are no windows that open, feels a little too much. Anyway would absolutely love to visit there again :)

Fantastic hotel for your Amsterdam trip. The rooms were very clean and stylishly decorated. The staff was friendly and competent. The location is great for walking down town and the market hall next to the hotel offers a great selection of food and drinks. Will definitely stay again.

Lækkert design, fantastiske værelser med dejlige senge og badeværelser. Rigtig fed location med foodhall lige ved siden af, og adgang til transport meget tæt på. Meget venligt personale, og en skøn bar. Meget rent og nydeligt — vi Kommer tilbage.

Beautiful and cool hotel set in an old tram depot! The staff were amazing! Only downside was the lack of a window… but of you're in Amsterdam you probably won't spend much time inside the hotel right.

Very cool hotel, in the middle of Amsterdam. A former repair workshop (Remise) for the old trams of Amsterdam. In an adhacend building you can find a food court with a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world. Food Court The Hallen! A must C!

Nice place, I visited this hotel in order to take part in a networking function in Amsterdam, and I thought the hotel was well appointed and modern. I especially liked the cloth towels that were available in the bathroom to dry your hands. It’s a boutique hotel that caters well to its patrons, and if I were back in Amsterdam on business or some other matter I would certainly consider this hotel from what I’ve seen thus far.

Nice hotel, nice décor and restaurant. Room without window outside as in a box with deposit of 50euros minibar etc. And quite noisy (from the lack of window the ventilation is continuous and people speak loudly. The parking lot is very expensive.

Fantastic hip hotel in a trendy part of Amsterdam. Great decor and lovely rooms. Would always be my first choice for a return visit. Lots of tasty bars and restaurants nearby and the ones in the hotel all well worth a try.

Funky little hotel. Interesting decor and staff where very helpful. Very few rooms have windows to the outside but otherwise the rooms are well presented and clean.

Hotel De Hallen is one of my favorite meeting places. Chic and modern interrior spaces that are at the spacious and private. If the weather is forgiving the terrace is rather good as well.

Beautiful place to go out, stroll along artsy shops, enjoy how they have rebuilt this former tram depot into a cinema and venue.
The food sucks though, it has pretention to be something special while it is just bad. It's nothing special, often dirty (people don't wear gloves, accept your money and with the same hands continue cooking your food) you will spend some time on the toilet afterwards. You can't get a strawberry milkshake, instead you get frozen yoghurt. You can't get a normal lemonade, instead you get a "self brown non alcoholic cider on the rocks", can't get a green salad, instead you get a "feta-something-piece of art".
Also hard to find a place to sit down to actually eat the food.

The staff were professional and very friendly, and they knew how to make me feel special on my birthday! The rooms were exactly what we were hoping for, comfortable beds, clean and an overall modern style that just made you feel relaxed. Very interesting hotel, situated in a renovated tram station. The foodhallen next door was perfect for a few delicious bites, before exploring the city. Quiet area, but still very easy to walk around to the different siteseeing places.

A super experience, with a special feeling, the food hall is worth seeing and the food there wetclass. The only drawback you can pay almost exclusively by card.

I was one of the artists at yesterday's art market at the central passage of de Hallen. Spacious, but cozy. Great for us artists (eventhough sales were a bit dull). And although I had my own bites with me, the food and it's variety in neighboring Food Hallen, was wonderful!

Os quartos são grandes, novos, com mobília bem projetada, bem aparelhado e muito confortável. O serviço do hotel é muito eficiente. Conseguimos comprar todos os ingressos para os museus aqui mesmo, evitando as longas filas. A localização é boa, em uma região muito agradável e próximo de um local, o foodhallen, cheio de stands com boa comida e bebida. Para chegar aos centros mais turísticos de Amsterdam tem que andar um pouco, cerca de 15 minutos de caminhada até a praça dos museus, 15 minutos até o Jordaan e uns 25 minutos até o red light district.

Great terrace and very friendly staff. We had the cheese platter from the famous Kef cheese shop. Out of this world, amazing. Great beer on the taps.

The staff is lovely and the rooms are so nice! Make sure to try the breakfast at least once! Close to good eats at the Food Hallen. Nice area that is more residential than tourist which makes it nice and quiet. Easy access to the tram though to get you into the center of town quickly. Worth every cent.

Great hotel. Clean, friendly staff, and great location. I stayed here for business and it was good. It looks exactly as it appears in photos with beautiful decorations. The food in the restaurant is also very good. If you are sensitive to noise, I would suggest the 2nd floor so you do not hear the guests above. Also note that the first floor does not have windows (if this is something you care about). Also certain rooms have a layout where the bathrooms are part of the room which would not work well for friends or co-workers who are uncomfortable seeing each other get ready.

Go hungry. A massive choice of great food to be found here.

Filmhallen and food Hallen became one of the hot spots in Amsterdam. Definetely worth to visit. I think stood is a bit too pricy.

Stayed in January and will defiantly return. So easy to get to with the tram and that makes it a great place to explore the rest of the city from. I loved the unique style of the whole place and the room really great looking. The surrounding area has lots to do and I've already recommended this place to friends going to Amsterdam.

In the old workshops of the trams of Amsterdam (in any of the outdoor areas you can still see the tracks), it has created a space of cultural, artistic and gastronomic more interesting. There are shops, a library, spaces for art, and in addition the area of the Foodhallen, where you can find several food stalls, in the style of the markets in culinary as fashion are getting, with savoury and sweet food to suit all tastes: indian food, burgers, crepes, sandwiches, etc.

The Hallen is a cool food court concept with many of Amsterdam's best restaurants having a booth there. Mixing a more stationary version of street food with bars and occasional live music makes it a great place to grab a meal with friends and then spend time socializing over drinks plotting your next move.

You'll find a smaller cozy cinema and a food court with everything from Asian, burgers, fish, vegetarian, cheese to chocolate.

Fun marketplace full of small producers selling all types of beautiful things. Definitely worth a stroll-through on a lazy weekend.

Fabulously designed hotel in a restored tram stall. Excellent cocktails and coffee at the bar and a good buffet breakfast. Only drawbacks are rooms without openable windows and lack of separation between the sleeping area and bathroom.

Aggregate place gorgeous, very popular where you can eat different cuisines.

Hip and no longer that happening. It just misses a laid back atmosphere.

Renovated former train shed that feels like brick-bound Chelsea Market in NY if it was a co-work space… nice new bibliotek with quiet two-level cafe and lots of natural light. Beautiful high-ceilings food hall. Movie theater, handcrafted clothes and accessories, Recycle bicycle shop. A nice collection and good local resource.

Stayed here from the 28th-1st march. Myself and my other half were welcomed by the lovely and polite Pim. The whole ground floor was amazingly decorative and wonderful to look at. Our room was beautifully set out and the bathroom just WOW. Amazing service amazing staff. Would recommend highly!

A nice place with decent food. Prices in the upper average level. Definitely a hipster place to be. Finding a place to sit is difficult though.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a converted tram station, so the rooms aren't on the outside wall and many don't have windows. The hallway is a courtyard with chairs and tables. The rooms are spacious and clean, especially the bathroom which has a shower and tub. The building also has a food market which has 15 or so high-end food stands. There are 2 nearby tram stations that take you straight into the city.

A tram deposit completely renewed and restructured into a multifaceted venue. Cinema, restaurant area, library, and shops, all seamlessly merged in De Hallen. Only con: quite pricey on average.

A good modern hotel in a perfect location in town, next to the Market from the Ten Kate street and a tram ride away from the center.

They have nice trendy shops — and even if they are quite expensive, they are nice to have a look. The place also hosts a cinema, and many small restaurants, where it's usually complicated finding a place to sit to eat. The place gets really popular during afterwork times! The place has an underground bike parking, pretty convenient to find a spot quickly.

This is where all hipsters are centered. Still it is a nice place, although a bit expensive. Some unique local products made in Amsterdam can be found here. Contains also a food market, library, hotel and movie theater.

Great hotel with great aesthetics. Excellent and friendly staff. Nice breakfast, very good lunch and dinner. If I ever go back to Amsterdam I will make the same choice.

I stayed here in August 2014. On arrival I was told that breakfast was not included. When I showed the printout from the agent stating breakfast was included the receptionist attempted to call the agent (teletext holidays) to confirm. This took all day because they could not get through. I had booked 3 day and 3 night and because of the confusion about the breakfast I missed the 1030am breakfast deadline on the first day! Furthermore there was only 2 breakfast tea bags in the room and I had to request more teabags on 3 separate occasions as they were stingey with them. There was no milk for the tea in the room either! On the final day the room was not cleaned when I returned in the afternoon! There is also alot of construction going on around the hotel so it feels like a building site coming and going to the hotel. On the plus side the Architect has done a great job with converting this old tram maintenance building into a hotel. The design and choice of artwork and furniture is very good. Its a shame the service and communication did not quite live up to he high standards of the hotel design.
