I had really good time in this hotel heranya this is one of the best hotel I stayed. Very clean and staff are friendly. The food was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. Would love to come back soon.

I would definitely recommend Hotel Heranya. I wasn't sure if I can make in Nepal for few days, my Friend Sunil and Mahendra really did a awesome job with comfortable bed and beautiful and easy bathroom. I didn't feel any different from USA to Nepal. It was clean and neat. And very good price.

The best value for money. Family runned business that gives you immense of pleasure while you are here. The lovely sound environment just within the city. Ancient made, modern run, full facility to achieve your relaxation. Quick access to everything. The staff are very good and will please you with the service.

It was my first time in Kathmandu and Hotel Heranya was a great place to stay. The studio rooms we stayed in for three nights were unique and spacious with all the basic provisons. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We had the most comfortable stay — was great value for money. Thamel wasn't far at all from the hotel which was very convenient for us. I would highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. Thank you Mr. Sunil Shakya and the entire staff at Hotel Heranya for making our stay so wonderful!

Its a small family run bed and breakfast hotel. $30 for the deluxe room and $60 for the suite/studio room. Rs. 500 charged extra for breakfast.

A short ride from the airport with a taxi (should pay around 500 to 700 rupees) gets you to this hotel. It is situated just outside the main tourist grid (Tamel), which is somewhat quieter. There is a good on site restaurant that is reasonably priced too. The staff and owner are very friendly and assisted me with several special requests. Rooms are clean and spacious. Again The owners and staff in the hotel Heranya are very fiendly and helpfully, location perfect, clean superior, hot water was always for our needs. Also important — the silent! Thank you very much for sightseeing advices in Kathmandu, also for travel advices to Chitwan national park and accommodation arrangements! We saved a lot of time and get the best price for the value. I would recommend for my friend, they need special excellent service.

The nearest airport is Tribhuvan Airport, 5 km from the property. Lazimpat is a great choice for travelers interested in scenery, monuments and history. The bathroom smelled like smoke which also went out to our room, however we noticed that many places in Nepal still allow smoking inside. I'd suggest not to allow smoking even in designated smoking areas, since the smell goes out to the rooms anyway. Breakfast could have been a bit more variating as well. Excellent service, comfortable bed, great location just outside thamel. I like the quiet, calm and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel and it is just near the road but away so it is a quite heaven. No sound. I enjoyed my stay here will be back again.

Hotel is located just behind the royal palace and away from the street noise. Rooms are nice and staff are helpful. We had a great time during our stay there. :)

Room size is just good. Cleanliness could be improved further especially towels. Tap water is yellowish. Staff is helpful and courteous.

Amazing property built in ancient building mixing traditional architecture with with the modern amenities one should require. Staying at Heranya feels like staying at home — Truly a homely environment. Pleased by the service of friendly staffs and best food i've ever had in their restaurant. The food was amazing. The ambiance, the style and the taste was out of the universe. I would like to thank Heranya family for creating such a relaxing oasis at the heart of the city — Kathmandu. A family run hotel, Hotel Heranya was definitely the right choice for our brief visit to beautiful Nepal. Even though we came at an inconvenient time for the country due to the blockade, we never felt like the hotel lacked in providing any service or showed any animosity towards us for being Indian. Transport, food, warm water and cozy rooms is something we were looking for in our brief stay and Heranya provided that to us. Very kind staff that are always smiling which just adds that bit of warmth in the cool weather of Nepal. Sunil the owner and his Nephew were so nice to us, sharing conversations and even inviting us to the attic bar on Friday night. It's affordable, it's comfortable, located in the heart of KTM 5 minutes away from Thamel. I would recommend checking Hotel Heranya out to anyone visiting Kathmandu!
