I stayed here as a long term guest for six weeks while I was rotating at Patan Hospital as a medical student. I was blown away by the hospitality and the high quality of the facilities. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, and beautiful, decorated with wood and copper fixtures, and the roof had great views of Patan Durbar Square. Impressively, the newly updated Wi-Fi is fast, there was backup electricity to each room during outages, and there was almost always hot water. The hot breakfasts were incredible, my favorites being banana pancakes or waffles, and the honey, fruit and nut oatmeal. But the greatest thing about Lalit Heritage Home was the staff. No matter what you needed, they were always ready to help you. We had great advice about trips and activities, help arranging taxis, assistance getting a SIM card, and laundry service. I once even managed to get myself stranded somewhere remote and they were ready to come extract me on their motorbikes. My experience exceeded all expectations and I highly recommend Lalit Heritage Home.

“Lalit Heritage Home” is a Newari family owned guesthouse located at the very heart of Patan Durbar Square offering a full view of Patan Durbar Square and a stunning 360-degree view of mountains and Kathmandu valley. There is no better place than our terrace to have breakfast and observe local people doing their worship rituals, and see people sitting idly and taking rest on the Patan Durbar Square. All our rooms are equipped with WI-FI, modern bathrooms, 24 hours hot water and electricity supply with very comfortable beds Souvenir shops, restaurants are easy to find. It’s a safe neighborhood, alive during the day and quiet at night.

Nice and cozy place. On the corner near Patan Durbar square. Has a balcony overlooking the square. Clean and neat. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Hot shower. Wifi in rooms could be better though. Great value. It's a little bit hard to find as the sign is small and you have to walk through a small underpass. But there is a restaurant on the corner (stairs leading up) a little before that there is like a small underpass/alley that leads to the guesthouse. Will stay again later.

One of the best kind. Loved the hotel stay with fantastic hospitality. The view of Patan square from this hotel is spectacular. Easy excess to transportation is another plus point. Don't miss the experience at Lalit Heritage Home if you happen to be in town.

I stayed in 4 places during my recent visit n I find Lalit Heritage Home the best.
The interior is kept very clean — swept n mopped daily. Sheets, blankets n towels are very clean, so are utensils. Hot water is available throughout the day.
The management is very friendly n extremely helpful. They go out of their way to render assistance.
The location is very good cos everyone knows Patan Dubur Sq. Cannot get lost.
Local marketplace is just at your door, so are many tourist spots like temples.
However, noise level is high — due to location, human traffic tend to be high.
Litter also everywhere on the streets outside, like elsewhere in Nepal towns n cities.
