River Crossing Lodge

Our stay at River Crossing Lodge exceeded all expectations and was the perfect start/end to our Namibia trip.
What truly sets this lodge apart is the exceptional service. Every single team member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It felt as though no request was too much trouble – every wish we had was met with a smile and immediate assistance. This level of warmth and professionalism made us feel completely cared for throughout our stay.
We were especially grateful for the late check-out that was kindly arranged for us. It made our departure day so much more relaxed and comfortable, and we really appreciated the flexibility and generosity of the team.
The location is simply stunning. Set in a peaceful natural environment with beautiful views over the surrounding landscape, the lodge offers a tranquil escape while still being conveniently located near Windhoek. Sitting on the terrace and enjoying the scenery was one of our favorite moments – it truly feels like being immersed in nature.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with thoughtful details that made it easy to unwind. The entire property is beautifully maintained and has a calm, elegant atmosphere.
The food was also excellent – both dinner and breakfast were delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service in the restaurant was just as warm and attentive as everywhere else in the lodge.

A beautiful lodge with very kind and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is very good (the dinner set menu was excellent! ). A major highlight is the sunset view—simply amazing. Having two swimming pools is a great bonus. Very good value for money.
Important Tip: Do not rely solely on Google Maps for directions as it is currently incorrect. Be sure to check the driving directions sent by the hotel (they usually send them a few days before arrival) to ensure you find the lodge easily. Would definitely stay here again!

Scenic resort overlooking the capital. We went here with friends specifically to see the city lights on a cold and rainy evening. It’s a beautiful location on top of a hill. I just had a Hansa Draught and checked out the rooms, which looked pretty decent.

Fantastic hotel with superb location. I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every moment there. The terraces, pools and public spaces were superb. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. If you like vistas this is the place for you. Staff were especially good.

We stayed at River Crossing Lodge before our flight back to Europe.
Perfect location, near Airport, and still near nature and close to Windhoek.
You get your own cottage with view over hills and city in the distance.
We had cottage nr 1, with only a bathtub, and while showering all bathroom got wet 🙄 but we didn't mind too much.
Service was impeccable, food & drinks were good and staff very friendly! We had a great last night in Namibia, thx to the hotel 😍

I had a wonderful stay at River Crossing. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make the stay memorable, and the proximity to the airport, Klein Windhoek and other local attractions is perfect.

The lodges are very spacious, comfortable, and clean. The lodges are situated at a nice location and offer a fantastic view. Great food at the restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

We all had a great stay at River Crossing Lodge. The Logde is located in convinvence distance from both the international airport and the Center of Windhoek and have a fantastic view over the mountains and Windhoek. Very good breakfast and dinner.

We stayed one night before flying out of Namibia. Lovely lodge with great service. Stunning rural location in the hills outside Windhoek. We booked a brilliant walking tour with them — a 10km/2.5hr undulating guided hike direct from the lodge via a waterhole. Saw several animals and really enjoyed walking in the countryside — our safaris beforehand had involved a lot of driving and sitting down!

The adventure starts trying to get there. If it is your first night in Namibia, the road is a good taste of what's coming in the rest of the country. Much easier departing as the road is now connected to the highway westbound.
Cabins are spartan and simple but serviceable.
Food and service was outstanding and the fact that a local group had rented out the place for a birthday shows that it is well regarded locally.

A very pleasant, well priced property. At the moment, a bit difficult to find. This will change once the new highway between Windhoek and the airport is open. Friendly, well trained staff. Good food (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The rooms are specious. Nice views. Pleasant swimming pool. Excellent place to stay after travelling in Namibia for a couple of weeks. We stayed for two nights before returning to Canada. Easy access to both, the airport and the city. We would choose it again.

River Crossing Lodge is a wonderful place just outside of Windhoek with very lovely staff and in a great location to relax in a great atmosphere. The rooms are very big and super nice with great private bathrooms. I can very highly recommend the lodge. It is my go to place every time I’m in Namibia.

After 4 years since I lodged there, River Crossing’s standards remain unmatched. The service is as excellent as I remembered it. The staff are so kind and patient as I have a knack for getting lost, they directed me patiently till I found my way to their new entrance.
The food, I had a creamy basil pesto penne and requested for extra smoked salmon and everything was done with ease. The food came to me fresh and hot. Ugh, I was so happy with everything. And that view top of that mountain is unparalleled.
I needed a break from the buzz of the city life and I got more than that. I got clarity and a renewed soul and strength. Thank you RCL. ❤️!

I still need to go back to this beautiful 😍 place before I conclude on my comment about everything, for now this place have the most affordable meals I have ever eaten at a restaurant in Windhoek and with the best dishes 😋 😍, customer service was the best 👌 I will definitely want to sleep over next time.
The pools are so clean, and the place is just well taken care of.

River crossing Lodge is a great lodge with beautiful views and creates the feeling of being secluded in nature, even though you are close to the city (as we needed to be but could enjoy the feeling of being far away). Staff was always friendly and helpful.

I was visiting the lodge for the second time and I loved it again. The little chalets are comfortable and clean and provide a spectacular view to the surrounding mountains. In the early morning hours you can sit on your terrace, watch the sunrise and even spot some animals if you are lucky. Food options are also good and the people working at the lodge are super friendly and providing strong service. Overall excellent value for money.

We stayed in bungalow 15 with a mega virgin view fo the valley and mountains.
Top quiet, with veranda, spacious.
Excellent location between Airport and Windhoek, you can see over the city on one side.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Food excellent and affordable. Drinks very affordable.
High quality breakfast.
All in all a mega start to visiting the south of Africa.
