Wally and his partner were so kind and inviting. We arrived late on our first night and Wally greeted us with open arms. Together they gave us so many things to look at and do, and gave us many helpful hints for places to go once we left the place.
The camp site itself is awesome. They've gone out of their way to make it a unique place, with so many interesting and funny quirks. The fire-heated showers are some of the best I've ever had. The location gives you the most beautiful views of both the sunset and sunrise each morning. And its also a very pleasant drive away from fish river canyon, for a much more affordable price than anywhere else around.
Do yourselves a favour and go and see the legends.
We had a lovely stay at Canyon Farm Yard! Such kind, local, and thoughtful hosts — lighting the fire in the morning for a warm shower was incredibly considerate and heartwarming. The garden is full of cool, creative installations that add so much character. Highly recommended!

Delayded but well deserved reference!
Traveling by bicycle makes plans diffucult. I showed up at Canyon Farm Yard without booking and once they had the shop closed, after sunset. When they realise I was on a bicycle they didn't hesitate on arranging one of the campsites for me, even being late.
The campsite has it own toilet, shower, braai space and even a table, super confy place to stay.
The faily running the place very super-friendly. I'll come back… but probably, on a bicycle again!
