Beautiful hotel, however they don't want to help exchange money unless you are a stay in customer.

The hotel service is very very good. The staff are friendly and helpful at breakfast time. I like all the bathroom accessories in the room. Thank you for always disinfecting cups and utensils. And I also really like the pool. I did not even know that the scenery was beautiful and time consuming when I was there.

Extremely impressed with interior designs, luxury rooms and furnitures. And bestt taste meals also. Yup, really cool 😎

A nice place to have fun with your family and friends. I love the level lounge most. The staff there are so reliable.

It is a place you should not visit because of the violent security and poor management of your guests. It is not safe to visit.

One of staff from telephone operator could not speak properly. The way she speaks is too bad and should not be as a hotel staff 👎👎👎

Very dissappointed with the gentleman sat next to the reception desk. We called today on the way to Melia to ask for 6 halal burgers upon recommendation by a friend. On the phone they said their burgers were halal and that they only have beef. They said they do not take phone orders (as they had people ordering and never turning up) so we waited till we reached the hotel. Once we arrived at the reception, we told them we called earlier about the burgers and they said about t… Weiterlesen.

I just got back from Seafood night buffet dinner at Melia. I’m really disappointed and dissatisfied with the food you served. What’s the point of paying $27 for seafood buffet when u don’t serve king crab, salmon sashimi and oysters at all? If you cannot serve, you should pre announce or should avoid giving false information and expectation to your customers. I only gave 3 out 10 to your seafood buffet!

The hotel is very fantastic. We spent our nights in lake view room where the lake plus city views can be seen. The rooms are wide, clean and relaxing. The services are awesome. We would like to come stay again once there is a chance.

Extremely helpful staff. Nice view. Good location. We stayed for a week for business and the hotel staff has made it easier by providing everything we need from salt to helpful recommendations.
My room observes the Shwedagon Pagoda which lights up at night like no other wonders.
Shopping inside the hotel comes with better quality and pricing comparing to the market (Bogyoke market). The Myanmar Plaza is downstair which is super convenient. Going out and about to different locations in Yangon is easy and totally time-saving. Will definitely return!

Delicious healthy food, nice and clean atmosphere!

I booked room for my friends on October 3rd, by mistake I put October 6th. The hotel refused to change my booking or refund my money. They have charged my credit card 123 USD! Booking asked them if they can refund, byt they refused. In addition manager told me it is booking that is charging, that is not true as Booking asked them to refund and they have refused!

Very nice hotel, classy rooms, very cordial service … Worth every dollar you spend! Only suggestion — the room service menu could be a little more elaborate I think, given the standard of the hotel…

Great Sunday brunch. International options and endless drinks for USD48. Next to the lake with beautiful walks.

Love the complimentary breakfast — delicious, wide variety, healthy, fresh and great atmosphere with very friendly and helpful servers. The stay is good also — housekeeping is good, comfortable bed, great view, complimentary laundry for three items per day. Walking distance to Myanmar Plaza which has eating places and shops.

One of the best hotels i‘ve ever been! Very good service, very very nice people and the breakfast buffet is just great!

Stayed here two weeks, my one niggle was the lack of massage/spa which was advertised. 3 item a day laundry included and complementary conference room at the booking class I booked with. It's less busy than the Sedona over the road and is more business centric but offers better facilities and value IMO and doesn't have the droves of function people and holiday makers the Sedona has.

The lunch is okay but the dinner is nicer! And better value for money.

One of the highest standard hotel in Yangon. Situated seemingly at the heart of the city and I would say second heaviest traffic area after downtown Yangon. The reason I don't give 5 stars is bcos of traffic and bad proximity to nearby livelihood.

What a great hotel. The staff are amazing. They were so genuinely helpful without expectation of reward, it was so very refreshing and nice. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Myanmar. The facilities are world class and the rooms are spacious with everything including a full size bath.

The Melia is located by the Inya lake, at the end of the University Avenue road. Currently it is the biggest and most modern upscale hotel in town, offering also a wide choice of bars and restaurants. The check-in was quickly done. The reception staff was surprisingly competent. Rooms are huge, modern and with all required amenities. Breakfast is served at the Market restaurant, with plenty of variety. The buffet dinner offers a wide variety of local and international food, very-well prepared with fresh ingredients, at a very reasonable price. The bar offers a very good selection of cocktails and international drinks. Staff is still under training, but very courteous.

Melia Hotel Yangon is a nice hotel as the staff are friendly and accomodating. However, what is disappointing about this hotel is the lack of proper maintenance in their toilets or wash room. I have attended a seminar in one of its function rooms on the 1st floor. But my disappointment started with the toilet in ground floor while upon entering, it is already smelly and the cubicles were not cleared of used tissues on the bins. The same scenario will also meet you on the 1st floor.
I just hope that the management of Melia will look into this matter and take this as a constructive appraisal.

Stayed here for a few times both for business and vacation. This is quite a new hotel. The lobby is very spacious. The rooms are very modern. The breakfast area is huge with lots of food choices. The hotel is located next to the Myanmar Plaza and the Hard Rock Cafe. No worry about finding food around here. We like to book the premium lake view room with the view of the Inya Lake.

A posh hotel with wonderful ambience and warm, friendly and dedicated staff. The infant in our group fell ill and they offered to have their in-house nurse accompany us to the children's hospital. In terms of the room, everything is always spotlessly clean and they have high-tech curtains that open and close with a gentle tug or a flip of the switch. If I must be fussy, only drawback is that their food tends to contain too much salt (please spare us the hypertension) but I am sure that can be rectified by communicating with the chefs. The adult swimming pool is also pretty dangerous as it is actually 1.8m deep all round with no side rails but the depth indicators around the pool show 1.5m.

Charming efficient staff, great cocktails and I was so impressed that the chef came rushing out to discuss my food allergies and intolerances and made a special dish just for me. We'd warned the hotel before, but I never expected that level of attention. I would definitely recommend it.

Great location and service but the hardware need some touch up before too late. There were sharp corner on the shelf located at the entrance for small luggage well cut the customer easily and there has been some of our customer who being hurt and this is some thing needs to take care serious. Unfortunately this issue has being ignore for over 10 month so far. Please work on it.

This hotel is relatively new. It is located next to Myanmar Plaza with Vietnamese's ownership. Not too far from Yangon airport. Room is clean, spacious. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel. Or you can explore Myanmar Plaza which is nothing much IMO. If you like outdoor, you can walk or jog along the Inya lake.

This hotel is very nice and good location. The room are clean and room more spacious when we compare another hotel same rate. The highlight is " Breakfast" it was very impress for a lot of food and kind of food. You don't worry when you come from any place of world. They have all kind of food and delicious. So, I like this hotel very much and feeling like home. I pick this hotel the first choice. Thank you.

Stay away if you want to sleep! There is a massive construction site (in its early stages) directly next to the hotel, all the "regular" rooms face that construction site and there they are working with heavy machinery and massive noise at least until midnight, even on Christmas day. Even the rooms, which are quite ok, can't change the very negative impression this hotel has left with me. I was offered a change of rooms to one a few floors up, but again facing the construction. The comment (frpm a friendly employee) was that so high up there would be no noise. What a joke…

Fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. Rooms are good size, bright, everything works and free Wi-Fi. What more does anyone need?

Amazing sunset and night-skyline views from our room. Hot shower, strong water pressure, huge bathtub (biggest I have seen in hotels in Myanmar so far). We also loved their signature cocktails and food in the Garbo bar. Atmosphere not 100% my taste, it felt a bit cold, I prefer cozier bars. But tastes differ and it is difficult to please everyone and we still enjoyed it a lot. We will return for sure, also to the bar to continue tasting all of their signature cocktails. Thank you very much for great stay.

This hotel is rather new. Good in general, with decent view, except the construction nearby. Friendly staff. Room is ok. Nice facility for business conferences. Their breakfast buffet offers a large variety of choices from Asian dumplings, Vietnamese pho, to Western selections.

Melia in Yangon is a 5 star international hotel. Very modern brand new rooms with all amenities. Staff speaks English and are very helpful. There is free Wi-Fi everywhere and it is fast. I would recommend this place. It's value for money.

Nice hotel directly next to Myanmar plaza mall. Excellent buffet breakfast, wish I had done their afternoon high tea. Maybe 10 minutes from Scott Market and Shwedigon (no idea how to spell that). Splurge for the lakeview rooms — it's worth it! Also stop in the gem shop but ask the owner if she can direct you to her shop at the gem museum because prices are a tad better and there are many other shops there. The Green Lantern is good — if you're staying a while you can grab a menu from them and order room service, as the regular room service menu is only so-so.

5 star hotel with good facilities. Fitness center 24 hours; cozy lobby. Swimming pool not so large but you can view good sunset from the lake infront.

The facilities and decorations are astounding and outstanding. It is easy to find a certain room or hall inside of it because of its simple interior planning. The ballroom hall is bigger and wider than Novotel Hotel Yangon. Although the buffet's price is moderate, various starters, dishes, sushi, desserts and drinks can be choose widely. Swimming pool is at 4th floor and you can see the sky with no limit from there. The hotel staffs are very well-trained and helpful. It is one of my favourite hotels in Yangon. You can see the Inya Lake from there clearly. Almost rooms have chances of seeing the Inya Lake from there.

Generally a good hotel overall. Rooms good standard. Lobby and lobby bar lack atmosphere and not an appealing place to dwell for long. Breakfast buffet vast. Hotel quite new and feels still learning to get the hang of some things.

When I entered the lobby, it's huge. The staff are very friendly. The reception speaks English.
The room is spacious, big bed and still they have sofa bed and working desk. The bathroom is spacious, bathtub, wc and shower are separated, full of amenities. The location is great, the Hard Rock Cafe is just about 3-5minutes walking and also the Myanmar Plaza. The breakfast is full of choices.

Nice new hotel, located next to Myanmar Plaza. Massive gym. Decent food. Rooms are nicely renovated with universal plugs. Only issue is quality of build is not consistent. You will find rooms with leaky shower stalls and faulty electric switches. But can't beat the price and quality in this prime location.

Service is great. Staff are nice and friendly. You will feel treated as if you are a vip. Facilities are good. There's gym and swimming pool. The gym is huge with all the equipment you need. There's even yoga/zumba classes (free) for you to join. The buffet breakfast in the morning were not bad. There's a lot of food for your selection. Toasts, bread; fried rice and stir fry veges; sushi; congee etc. There's slight variety to the food everyday. Example: chicken fried rice on day 1, seafood fried rice on day 2 etc. Would love to stay at this place again.

My review is for the Sunday brunch which is fantastic value (42 USD) for what you get. Great cheese table, good wines and sea food buffet is also worth a visit.

Modern, rooms were spacious and airy, and service was excellent.
