Service and room were good. Air-conditioning worked, as did the Wi-Fi in all parts of the hotel. Can get a bit noisy as it's in the middle of town, but not too bad, even with the massive party that was happening somewhere down the road. Bar is grossly overpriced, but that I suppose is to be expected in a city hotel. Overall a repeatable experience :)

Service was at times disappointing. Hotel has easy access to airport and several places of interest such as the Maputo Catedral. Fabulous pool.

I really enjoyed my stay in this beautiful hotel in Maputo. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Rooms are stylish, spacious neat and comfortable. I had a beautiful view from my balcony of the Cathedral of Sé. The Wi-Fi was excellent and free. I highly recommend this hotel.

Simply great, hotel very nice and staff super cool. I got there late at night, was given a discount, upgraded, and told I could park my bike just at the entrance… Couldn't have been treated better. Thank you so much for the great hospitality, I will recommend! Wi-Fi amazing!

If you are in Maputo for a vacation or job trip better try staying at Pestana, with its tall building giving a good view of the town through the windows.
People there are lovely and efficient, famous figures have passed through this hotel.

The food is overpriced, the Wi-Fi is just horrible, you can get anything done on these Wi-Fi connection. Think twice before visiting this place, I'd give it a 0 star rating but unfortunately I have to award some sort of star to write a review, this hotel is the worst I have ever been to, a total waste of money.

Jawdat Yaghmour — Room 715 : This hotel classification is really not true. I have been to this hotel 2 years ago where it was a bit better than today. It is really surprising that those responsible for the hotel are not observing the comments of the guests. The room furniture is classic and poor. The bathroom furniture is basic as well. You can't imagine how the shower is sprinkling water in all directions reaching the room itself. Not value for the money paid. The resturant is good, but typical every day. There should be sort of change from day to day in order not to get bored with what is offered every day.

As I sit in this 4-star hotel I cannot help but feel bamboozled because: -Photos are not reflective of this hotel (The cropping and angle job is better than a fat girl on facebook) -$175 a night when it should be $175 a week -6 channels on TV unless you speak Portuguese (then there are 7) -Tile floors throughout -Shower head worse than the demo model on the CLR commercial. -Furniture from 1960, and 1960 sears at that (I am here three days on business and am spending $525. I could adorn this entire room for less than that. ) -Elevator did not work today (10th floor and I forgot the car keys) -Fridge takes 4 hours to chill a bottle of water -Internet is available in the room but connection from circa 1997 -The free breakfast is acceptable. Not good, not bad, it is acceptably slow. -The area of the city is dirty and unengaging. I don't want to take all good away from the hotel but it is difficult to feel as though we bought what we were sold. We tried to leave after the first day but the company will not allow us to alter the reservation and will charge full measure. At least this means I have the time to ponder and post on the matter.

Dont go by the photographs they are deceiving the hotel is ill maintained with very basic amenities for the cost being levied. Avoid this hotel at all costs. This may have been a nice hotel earlier but not anymore.

Hotels in Maputo is crazily expensive for what you get. The Pestana Rovuma is more affordable than most of the local hotels but offers a very basic experience for the four star rating it claims to have — two stars would better describe what you can expect. It is clean and relatively neat, but the rooms are old and very basic. My room had an old box TV with dodgy, intermittent Wi-Fi Internet. There were coffee and tea sachets but no kettle. The sliding door of the wardrobe was stuck and difficult to open. The shower in my room was leaky and sprayed in all directions and the basin had no plug. Staff is friendly and helpful, which makes the experience bearable.

Shit room, TV has no remote. Beds are hard. Maybe this used to be a four star hotel at some point, now it hardly passes for 2. Disappointed.

Good hotel. Without great luxuries, but it does. Quiet and clean. Breakfast acceptable. Internet free but with bonus of 50 mb is q there are q go asking at reception. Located in the downtown area.
