It has been an immense pleasure being here for my passage into Marrakech, a fantastic pleasant stay, the energy of this place is above excellent, friendly bubbly staff at reception, good food and most importantly the swimming pool personnel is super lovely, I felt secure and well surrounded at all times, enjoying my tan switch no disturbance, the gentle kind safety swim guard Taoufik was at my need at any time, his presence made a big difference for me, not to be disturbed by other male visitors, yet the bar staff is as lovely as I could wish for, thanks to all immensely 🙏🏻🥰

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn you: avoid Marrakech Retreat. This place is inaccessible, overpriced, unprofessional, and downright unwelcoming. Morocco has so many wonderful destinations—don’t waste your time here.
The Arrival:
Getting to this so-called “retreat” was a nightmare. Google Maps sent us the wrong way, leading us to almost crash on the precarious roads. Only later did we realize the caretaker had sent us the correct route, but without internet access, it was useless. When we finally arrived, we were met with a gated property surrounded by rubble—a strange sight for something marketed as a serene escape. The pool glimmered in the sunlight, and the Atlas Mountains loomed in the distance, giving us a glimmer of hope. But that quickly faded.
First Impressions:
The property felt more like a deserted house than a retreat. No reception, no guests, no staff—just an empty living room and an eerie silence. The caretaker greeted us kindly, offered tea, and asked us to wait for our room to be ready.
To be fair, the room itself was clean and matched the photos. But that’s where the positives ended. The lack of staff, atmosphere, and overall hospitality made the entire experience unsettling—like camping in the empty mansion of a distant, indifferent relative.
The Service:
Once we settled by the pool, the lack of amenities became painfully obvious. We had to hunt down staff just to order drinks, which were overpriced (€5 for a beer).

We came for few days and we were stunned by the property and the beauty of the garden. Our bedrooms was ok but with a weird layout and if we had a very good double bed, beds for children were not confortable.
Again, the place has an amazing garden with animals which makes it great for children.
The negative part is, although we had a car, the place is really withdrawn so it's ok if you don't want to go out. The downside is the prices are not displayed anywhere and can be different according to customers (although looks like a Moroccan tradition) but the are always extremely high (similar to south of France, I would say).
We didn't pay a lot for accommodations so it is a place I would recommend if you have a car and happy to use it or if you don't mind paying a bit more for your meal (however it makes the stay pricey for what it is).
Also we had to pay extra taxes in euro (! ) when booking. Com highlighted all taxes were paid so it is a shame everything is not crystal clear as it left us with a bitter feeling although we would have been happy to pay if we knew it first.
