We were very anxious to settle into this Hacienda as it was the final leg of our trip — 3 night stay. After jumping around from place to place. Our family of 4 had the penthouse suite. Not worth the money spent! Three bedroom 2 bath — and having its own hot water heater, none of us were able to have a hot shower. The private patio upstairs had no furniture to enjoy the view, in suite safes were non functional and some were not secured to the furniture. The common living area inside the suite had uncomfortable couches (they were really outside style furniture) the kitchen was equipped with a full size fridge/freezer, no ice; 4 plates and glasses. No microwave, not paper towels — so not worth having a kitchen — not to mention the cleaners left old food from previous guests in our freezer. Beware of the doorknobs the height will bruise your arms because you are highly likely to run into them MULTIPLE times. Extremely disappointing and angry to pay high dollar rates and have no one able to take hot shower. Not what you expect from a Penthouse Suite. Brought to staff and owners attention, they questioned our ability on how to work the shower, again extremely frustrating. No apologies just excuses. One last thing, good luck if you want new or additional towels/wash rags. You are lucky to get one per person and have to return the dirty before you will get clean. This place needs to step it up a notch as it has great potential due to a great location. Owner did a beautiful job on renovation but needs to work out the kinks. Going a step above will attract repeat vacationers. We enjoyed other Haciendas more that were less money.
