The staff is super friendly and attentive, all in general and without exception, the rooms are spacious and the balconies with sea view very nice, the pools clean, in the aquabar excellent service and comfortable to have some good drinks, the food of the restaurants delicious, completely recommended and of course I return to the hotel.

The hotel playa mazatlan is an excellent place that you can spend as a family, where the staff of the same does an excellent job being always attentive and friendly with the guests, there is always something to do, I highly recommend the activities offered by the hotel from spectacular shows and elegant dinners, my most sincere congratulations to the cleaning staff, Waiters and bartenders. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

The attention of the employees not all but most if they serve the American better do not give you preference at any time in the only place we were treated well was in the Italian restaurant with the staff of the young Roberto those people were the only friendly in the hotel.

Only one detail at reception one of its employees bad attitude but bad memory is called Daniel, is who ruins the excellent service that was had by everyone.

Great place for families, kid friendly pools and activities. Staff is excellent. Not so good if you are looking for a quiet vacation spot. Beach Bands play loudly from 1 to 8 or 9 every day, complete with drums, tubas, horns, etc. Sometimes 3 or 4 on a small stretch of beach all playing different songs at the same time. Ocean front is great if you can stand the noise.

The view is wonderful. I came to take a course in their salons and everything was perfect. Air conditioning, chest break, attention and food of the restaurant very rich.

Rooms were in need of a serious makeover, too crowded and the office staff was very rude! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and the bride stayed there. So in the morning we needed to get hair and makeup done, so we had to go there. The women at the desk wanted to charge us each one night stay when we were only going to be there for 2 hours max! After arguing with 2 managers and their nasty attitudes and full of attitude faces for like 30 minutes they charged us for 1 stay and held our driver's licenses! Once we were done with hair and makeup, they didn't even let us stay in the shaded area to wait for the car. The palms resort of mazatlán was way nicer, cheaper, staff treated us very well and the front desk was polite and helpful everytime we needed something.

The shows I was really delighted.

Wow! Where do I start? This hotel has super friendly staff, plenty of pools, activities, shows, food, liquor, wine, and snacks. It is feet away from the beach. It was the first hotel to be built in this "golden" zone. We are already planning a second visit and have yet to leave the hotel. There are shopping areas walking distance from hotel. Many more hotels surround this hotel but I guarantee you will love your stay here!

The good: Room service top notch! Thank you to Ezequiel and Armando, very attentive and professional. The bad: WOW… 1. Cleaning service. The room was very dirty when we arrived. I had to leave a note for them to clean the bathroom door which had smears. The toilet was sealed but when we broke off the seal, there was hair. Their response: go to reception and upgrade to another room paying the difference. I wouldn’t have mind that but they didn’t correct the situation of the current room. 2. The Buffett although good, the manager Nicolas didn’t let us sit by the fence to have an ocean view. Even though they had 6-7 tables available and it was not busy. He said we were 3 people and those tables were for bigger parties but there was a lady with only her and a child and they were ok with that. This was very upsetting how they made exceptions with us. NOTE: we were not on the ALL INCLUSIVE and we paid for everything at the hotel including tips. I believe they cater to the all inclusive crowd, who knows! 3. We booked a Disney show and not once did they said I had to pay in advance. I thought we would pay at the entrance. We went in and no one asked us for money. We were wondering who we had to pay. In the middle of dinner, a manager came and made us go with him to reception to pay for our meals. He could have taken the money for us for the inconvenience but instead made my husband leave in the middle of his bite to pay! Rude and unprofessional and disorganized!

Overall an unpleasant experience. My group paid the same price and some got higher quality rooms than others. The workers would keep track of ANYTHING we ordered. I have been to better hotels around the area. The food was good at least and they have some nice shows.

Everything was OK just the drinks. Well Culeras but from there on most highly recommended, unless you want to get drunk with antifreeze.

My only complaint is that you have to make dinner reservations, go to the island ect… And you can only one thing at a time.

Very nice, very attentive and friendly staff, only one problem which was that in one of the beds in the room we stayed my family and I had bedbugs and they bit a member of my family.

I love the hotel, the attention, the quality of the people… The first time I came 3 years ago to the hotel he needed a cat's hand, now is remodeled and has new areas, as well as growing in rooms, very clean and very careful. The only one but I put it is the food, if you need to improve a little, have a lot of dishes but almost every day is the same, good without getting to the excellent. The price-quality ratio is good without reaching excellence. By the way I attended a waiter named Roberto who was for all very friendly and helpful.

This great hotel, has a quiet beach, even when I went I got to see how the Turtles put eggs on the beach of the hotel and arrived the respective authorities to take them to a safe place, it was a great experience. You pay for all inclusive, the food and drinks are delicious and it has bars where you can spend time and pools.

The hotel is what all accommodations should offer, ie it has nothing extraordinary but what you have has it well. Clean rooms, good sized bathroom, paper and good quality cleaning items. The towels very white and clean. Nice pool. I suggest improving the breakfast, not bad but daily serve the same thing with small variations.

The bathrooms in the rooms are small with low showers and missing places to put your bathing things. On some mattresses feel the springs.

It is an excellent beach walking hotel, they offer very good deal, it is great and easy to get lost in the beginning, but it is worth it for the event halls with which it counts and the restaurants with their delicious food, recommended if you look for option in golden area.

Love this hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was large with king bed. Very clean. Our room had a large wrap around corner balcony with a great view of the beach, ocean and coastline. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here in the spring of 2015. I loved it! My wife liked it but unfortunately doesn't like visiting the same place more than once. If it was up to me. We'd re-visit every year. Great food, great entertainment, great location with plenty to do both within the resort and outside. Lots of Beach to walk. Watch out for rival mariachi bands on the beach lol! All of whom are busy serenading tourists and locals alike. My favourite thing about this resort is the authentic Mexican vibe it has and it should! We've stayed at other resorts in Mexico that feel very Americanized, particular in Puerto Vallarta and to me that degrades a Mexico trip. If I book a trip to Mexico I definitely want to experience that culture. You get great food, clean rooms, your right on the beach, awesome entertainment with night shows within the resort, they had boogie boards for catching waves in the ocean in exchange for your drivers license from the pool, a multitude of restaurants. All in all. This place is awesome!

We had all inclusive at this hotel. Husband and I have been coming to Mazatlan for 20+ years. Hotel Playa Mazatlan is one of our top places to stay. Clean, good food and you are treated like royalty.

The view out of my ocean view room is gorgeous! There are many nice pools and hot tubs. The Grotto is really cool. The food is good, pina coladas are delicious! Everyone is very friendly. The beach is amazing! Make reservations at the Italian restaurant.

I loved the hotel, the facilities, the food and the drinks. My package was all inclusive so enjoy everything I had to offer the place the variety in food and its restaurants will leave an incredible taste of mouth, and I recommend their pools and especially the beach is great just watch out for the waves;)

The rooms are decent but noise levels everywhere are high. Nice ocean view but can be very noisy because of all day and night musicians complete with drums and tubas I appreciate the music but it is sooo loud and it is all day and way into the night. The Italian restaurant so far is the best food but I’m about to try Brazilian tonight and will comment later. We did not enjoy the Mexican restaurant found the food soggy. The buffets leave a lot to be desired and is about the only thing available without a reservation which all need to be made in person at the reservation desk between certain hours for certain restaurants it’s very difficult to get your money’s worth from all — inclusive.

First the good things. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is very clean and staff works extremely hard to keep it this way. The staff was the best part about this hotel, and one of the only reasons we are giving it 3 stars. The beach is amazing. Great sand and views. If you do stay here upgrade to a beach view. Location of hotel is good too. Great place for a family. Now the not so good. We will not be staying here again. If you are looking for a reasonable, clean and friendly only hotel it is a good choice. For us we would rather pay more and have the extras. The beds are super hard. If you like hard beds they are probably still too hard. The hallway traffic is heard, very clearly, in the rooms. This is a family friendly hotel, very family friendly, and there are kids yelling and screaming very late and very early. All chairs, everywhere in this place, are very uncomfortable. We had a hard time sitting for more than a half an hour anywhere. Food selection is awful. No salad bar and all food was ok at best. No simple "get by" food. Most food was cold. All inclusive was not worth it here at this hotel. Drink selection sucked. Very low quality hard alcohol. No drinks before 11am. You could not get a drink with breakfast. Very hard to find bars and food in the correct time frame. Entertainment was also not good. Plenty for kids to do. More of a family resort.

I love that I have a nice place to sit on the beach and the vendors can't approach me. I love the number of pools this place has. I love how clean it is. I love the friendly and helpful staff. I will be back as soon as I can! I ate a pineapple tamale that was out of this world!

Great beach at this hotel. Some issues with all the vendors walking by and trying to sell, you something. Literally every 5 minutes. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and great food and drink and reasonable prices.

Very spacious rooms, comfortable if you travel with toddlers, as was our case. No need for extra bed as we were able to install the stroller and the umbrella bed in the room without a problem! The furniture was a little bit old.

Excellent hotel. Fabulous experience. It has for all tastes, Italian, Brazilian, Mexican food, seafood, food, buffet, etc. It has a beautiful cenote and a jacuzzi with very nice sea view.
The beach is very clean and many palapas to lie down.
As you see in the pictures, this is actually the only thing is the Wi-Fi in the hotel as it is something big and you lose the signal in certain parts. Nearby there are many souvenir shops and restaurants. The waiters all at any restaurant and on the beach and pool are very very attentive.
I really recommend it a lot.
Especially the all inclusive plan because if you agree enough for the drinks and specialty restaurants.

A wonderful place with a lot of history ideal for vacationing with family the only downside what I notice in the hotel is what is supposed to be free bar in drinks and when I asked for a Wuiski the waiter put a moody face and in a bad way brought it half an hour after Have I ordered it and the Piña coladas really was pineapple snow they don't know anything about alcohol the beer what you serve in the hotel restaurant is in glass which is not enjoyed because it knows burnt and lowered with cold ice and also the day what I had to retire and could not Open my abitacion 40 minutes before what time was fulfilled tube what to look for a maid for what I opened the door of my abitacion because I had to get my suitcase and no longer passed my key that really is annoying because one pays for the stay.

I went from Miron to lunch… Great, much better than the hotel where I was staying… A lot of gringo afeando the scenery, the only negative…

My family was there for the day on an excursion. Very friendly staff. Towels, beach chairs and shade was available on the beach. The pools were beautiful and the hot tub had amazing views! We are planning on going back and staying.

Hotel rooms aren't anything special but the location of the hotel is AWESOME! It's right on the water, there are a lot of restaurants inside the hotel… we got the all inclusive plan which included unlimited food and alcohol… can't beat that!

It's a beautiful area with clean pools and rooms that are well maintained. The staff is very kind and respectful, I have not received bad customer service once. They are so nice and are very experienced with their jobs. There are many activities for kids and adults. I just loved this hotel, and I recommend it if you're interested in visiting Mazatlán!

If you are staying in Mazatlan, this is the place to be. It's in the middle of the Golden Zone action. Perfect blend of price and amenities. If you're a millionaire, then there are a few hotels you may prefer, but for value vs cost, this is your best bet. The only negative is that the breakfast buffet, which used to be fantastic, has really gone downhill. If you eat there now, it should be for the ocean view, not the food.

First time I ever went to this hotel was 1958, if I remember right it had one wing on the north side of the office. I was back yearly until 1990. It would seem the Hotel changes yearly and for the best. I used to surf with the owners grandson Jack. His grand parents were wonderful. Wonderful hotel.

Have been going there since the 80's. Love the rocking chairs! They are always updating the grounds adding pools and keeping the grounds nice. Very Mexican feel Hotel. Great staff, always friendly. Good restaurant. Don't miss the Mexican Fiesta.

Excellent as a hotel, but never will you ever pay the all-inclusive (by which the food is horrible, drinks are almost non-existent and buffet laughable, really disappointing). Otherwise very clean and good service by the staff of the establishment.

My Grandson and I enjoyed our third stay at Hotel Playa Mazatlan during Thanksgiving Vacation. Eight wonderful nights! We LOVE everything about the Playa: lovely room, delicious food, helpful staff in all areas, beautiful beach. We have stayed elsewhere in Mazatlan, but will always come back to the Playa! I would give 6 stars if possible! We are anxiously waiting for our next visit.

In view of this critical hotel to was my favorite. Although some that another employee is neglected offers very nice view of the sunset, this very good na, even though I be women I admire that this beach girls have very good body. D.

honestly I do not return to that hotel or even if pay me the treatment it leaves much to be desired. Not return and less friends who realized how we were treated.
Boast of having the "best all inclusive" and it is not. THE food is good at breakfast, but in the afternoon the food is not very varied and the dinner would seem to be the LEFTOVERS of the afternoon; THE bar free is from 11 a. M. To 2 a. M. It is not all the time. THE drinks LAS have counted, evil don't need to make row for box and sort and apart to go with the bartender to prepare them (measure you what tomas, which is quite UNCOMFORTABLE). The facilities are very good (room and swimming pools). THE service leaves much wish, good workers out there, there are other than the truth not be that make working with people.

I'm I ready to travel to mazatlan, I unfortunately based on the customers and in this hotel I can't stop for nothing, having bad reputation for his arrogant and personal incopetente.

My experience has just finished last Thursday 19de June, I was with my family for four nights and five days, it all started June 20, Sunday arriving at the hotel we went to register at the reception a Miss of name attended us Fabiola certainly very bad point, / should be in the store where he does not have contact with people as it is the first image that we perceive guests upon arrival, / / we are a family of two adults two children of 12 years of 9anos and a two-year-old baby, the package that we purchased was all inclusive but the receptionist scatterbrain understood that the greatest girl had 14años instead of 12, after two days they wanted us to collect an extra and that because already pay as a junior, there started the confusion I took the girl so that they would see it but as high as his dad not us they believed his age although I told them what they will seek their curp, they told us that it was OK although I insist we disbelieved I am very uncomfortable with this situation and my experience wasn't anything nice, I really do not go back to hotel, playa Mazatlan.

The truth is not recommend for anything. This is my first time that I visited him and will be the last. The hotel's facilities are not bad but the service too despot. Not have variety in meals of echo dinner is all that sobro all day. Only stirred. They tell you what you eat and what you take. Those who are in receipt feel owners of the hotel and are super rude. The truth not be as they can categorize it as excellent when not even washed the sheets and bed covers. It is a disgusting.

Booked through Expedia. Found out no Wi Fi functioning in hotel. Given we are business people and need to communicate, asked for a refund after four days without. No dice. Hotel policy when using agencies to book is no refund. Ask yourself if you stay here and find out no toilet, wrong amounts or types of beds, too noisy, if that is the kind of response you would expect. I thought this was a professionally run hotel, but seem more along the lines of mobster run clip joint. Skip it for a more dependably run place.

Can't beat the quality of the resort and friendliness of the staff. The food is amazing too! Great for families or for anyone looking for a great resort in the heart of everything in Mazatlan. Its in the heart of the Golden Zone, which is in between Nuevo Mazatlan and the Old Mazatlan. One of the best places to stay in Maz.
