Reviews of Sandos Caracol Eco Resort 4*
Nice hotel, lot's of animals, very kind and friendly personel, lovely cocktails.
Just came back from an 11 night stay here. First time in Mexico. We absolutely loved this resort. Upgraded to select club and worth every penny (a great price too). Our room 6613 was lovely. Fantastic air con. Food was really lovely. We ate at the Italian, Brazilian ever day for breakfast at two evenings. Riveier for evening steakhouse and the buffet. Could not fault it. We walked early on a morning saw lots of wild life and beautiful walks. Spent most days at the beach (which we loved) you 100 percent need swimming shoes as some rocky parts getting into the sea. We didn’t want to do any trips as we were quite happy spending time in the resort. Cocktail bar elephant is amazing. The staff in the resort are friendly and polite. We went into playa del carmen but we couldn’t wait to get back to sandos. We loved it that much we are booking again for next year x love Joanne and Neil dalziel x.
Absolutely terrible experience. Stayed here as an elite member. -poor service -TERRIBLE food, my entire family got food poisoning a few days into our stay as I was reading so so many others days and weeks prior to our stay. -shows and events have limited capacity/seating even though they book tens of thousands of families. -pools can’t seat as many people as resort holds. -beach is terrible! Nasty, and very rocky. Other than our awful experience I will say the nature was beautiful but that’s all. Left early and would not recommend.
Excellent attention all are very friendly and hospitable food and atmosphere Excellent.
Amazing place, staff are brilliant. Kids club is fantastic!
I went in Easter and for the dates and the comments I thought it was going to be a disaster and nothing to see, the treatment of the service was excellent, they always attended you in a good way, very friendly and helpful, the pools are super good, they take great care of the ecosystem and the animals, they have many activities that they can do, the spa is amazing the whirlpool and sauna are super good. I only had one issue because when I arrived there was no line but it was resolved. I do not understand why there are many people who say that it is the worst hotel if it is honestly Amazing and the food is not even said super rich. I invite you to cone it yourself because it is very different from how people paint it. I would return again another time without a doubt.
The grounds of this resort are beautiful but the service my family and I have received while staying here has been terrible, in fact the worst I've had at any hotel I've ever stayed at. Firstly, we had to pay $250 to upgrade to a room with Wi-Fi and refillable mini bar, despite it showing that these would be included when I booked. When we got to the room the mini bar fridge was not working, the batteries in the AC remote were dead, the safe was not working and it was full of mosquitoes. It took multiple calls to get these issues fixed. The fridge was not fixed for three days. The safe was fixed but then broke again and at one point we were locked out of our room. There is also no bath for children, which seems very odd for a "family room". When I enquired if they had portable bath options I was told it would $8 per day. At the end of our stay, I tested positive for covid. They took hours to give us information on what to do and to move me to a quarantine room. When I got to the room there were no towels, no TV remote and no batteries in the AC remote. It took 5+ calls and around 4/5 hours for them to resolve these issues. I am currently awaiting the results for a rapid test that I took more than 3 hours ago. I was told I would get the results in less than an hour. do not stay here, it's terrible!
The contact with nature is beautiful, but the customer service is terrible, the rooms and the food leave much to be desired. Apart from the fact that the employees treat you in a dry and curt way, we had two terrible experiences with poor tact and rude attitude: The whole family was taken off our bikes when we were all ready to leave because there was a family that had signed up and returned at the moment we were leaving. Having already checked out, they did not want to let us leave the parking lot (being that we told him that we would miss the plane) because the transport service we had contracted was not the hotel. Mr. Tomas Perez, he was rude and didn't mind that we missed the plane.
Terrible place, super dirty, food is horrible, service is lacking. Everything is gross. I would never come back here. My son got a plastic twist tie in his hot dog. It is bad really bad. Terrible mistake but never again. Beach is rocky and no good for swimming.
I was about to book, for a family holiday with children I thought it was an excellent place, but reading all the opinions of bad service and bad food and bad cleanliness I was totally discouraged, they lost a client before having it, I am going to look for other options …
Several free things to do with the kids, lots of animals, food is decent but somewhat inconsistent. Some of us had stomach issues but nothing too serious. Concierge was pushy, but we expected that as we had been to a Sandos resort before.
Very bad service, some people serve you in a very bad way and it is very expensive.
I highly recommend it is very big I could not tour the whole hotel a week, there is a lot of activity for everyone, its excellent food, very attentive staff, many green areas, ecxelente pool. Beautiful hotel.
It's a nice, green-like vacation. Good for the price but be ware of "extras" and shopping there. It's airport prices in $$! Great for kids because of the water park and easy access to beaches, pool, buffet. After a while the all-inclusive experience becomes annoying because there's no incentive to be quick. Services are very slow, food is the same, not bad, not great except for the Christmas menu. Wifi is super hard to get and bureaucracy reigns so bring loads of patience! The place itself is gorgeous but again, average experience. I guess all-inclusives are not for me. I need more freedom and I like a fight to get my business.
This hotel was a mess. Lots of little issues or frustrations that amount into a terrible place to stay. I did a lot of research before choosing this resort but we were sorely mistaken and let down. This resort is aimed at families, not adults. They couldn’t have cared less about whether we had a nice time. Bars close at 11pm across the resort with zero other options so the whole place turns into a ghost town. Not built for adults whatsoever. I guess they used to have a club and maybe an all night snack bar but definitely not anymore. Our room flooded 3 times and they told us to clean it up ourselves as they didn’t have enough staff to help us. Not even joking. The maintenance guy said “maybe grab some towels to clear it yourself? The wait will be at least 2-3 hours because so many rooms are flooding”. This was at midnight. They lost our reservation when we arrived and tried to blame us. Treated us very poorly until they realized the next day that it was actually their fault. The “compensation” they offered was one night stay for a future visit. The issue was found to be a communication issue between their booking Dept and their hotel, nothing to do with us. The staff all act completely apathetic. The bartenders, servers, front desk etc. Were all disengaged and often rude. They are severely understaffed and we were often left waiting 5-10 minutes just to receive utensils at the buffet which have to be given to you by the servers.
Excellent location within the Playacar complex. Ideal if you're looking for an all-inclusive ecoresort experience, though they can greatly improve customer service and food. It has activities with family or couple, in a natural place in the middle of a mangrove, lots of vegetation, Mayan ruins, natural river and cenotes. Spacious, quiet, tropical environment and wildlife, with access to Xcalacoco beach. The atmosphere is not luxurious, and if you are very selective and want luxuries this hotel is not in general, you must pay access in its VIP area. They can improve with customer service and tourist service, especially national.
All excellent. The facilities, the very friendly staff, very nice the hotel BUT the food is the worst😖 in all the restaurants!
It is the only negative point we have of the hotel, they should improve their food a lot, outside of all that we had a very nice time.
They are not prepared for a hurricane, poor management service, very bad treatment of local tourism.
Nice facilities but the service is pesimo I would not stay again.
We had great service that we signed up as members. We had some much fun!
Large nice resort, lots to do.
Worst experience hours of checking in
limited access to food
nothing open pass 11pm
horrible and expensive
never book there.
Lousy call service, the hotel looks great but when I called I only received despotic and rude attention. Lamentable.
They are thief’s! I was charged for a shuttle I cancelled and they’re giving me hell about a refund. Not to mention we had a cockroach in our room and every time we ordered room service ants swarmed our food even though we were inside. They gave us the wrong food on a dinner we spent an extra 250$. Save yourself the headache and go to the occidental instead.
I love this place, the eco friendly concept is great, family friendly, excellent services.
The treatment of the people who receive you 80% is lousy, very unsy staff friendly.
On the 16 12 2020 my son forgot his cell phone in the area of the sport bar this was between four to six in the afternoon, at night when he realized I made the corresponding report, on the 17th I went to reception to be informed that I had spent telling me that it was 24 hours to be informed… on December 18th I met the Hotel Manager Frédéric and his security manager informing me that they would do everything leading… in two hours I was informed who was the person who had stolen the cell phone… however, by pretending to me that they were going to look for him to deliver his cell phone, however knowing that he was an elite partner, they have been covering it up, and I until today coincidentally informed me that he had already left the hotel, I when they showed me the video I referred to them that they could locate it in xxxx without them doing anything about it, it's a shame that they took matters that way, took my time away and ruined my days of stay inside the hotel.
Day the animation of the 3 boys in the pool and at night the good xon dances excellent instructors, very good musical variety.
We arrived just a few days after a tropical storm, and the staff and entertainers never missed a beat. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We ate quite a few meals at the Laguna buffet. Always delicious with lots of selections for everyone. Plenty of vegan offerings. Our rooms were spectacular, and housekeeping made our stay special by making cute towel animals. We loved the jungle atmosphere, and enjoyed seeing the coati Mundi and the monkeys in their natural habitat. Gorgeous main pool, that was never crowded, great burgers cooked at their outdoor grill and very large, sandy beach, that was impeccably kept.
Amazing time, considering pandemic everyone is so helpful, dinner was great every night even the buffet. Tons of monkeys on our balcony daily. Be back next year.
Excellent service despite being with the pandemic.
Excellent rooms, location, recreational areas, excellent quality in meals, treatment at all in whether highly recommended a 100
We renewed our vows with 60 of our closest friends and family here and it was PERFECT! They were so accommodating! The vacation aspect of it was priceless! Everyone had the best time and the waterpark was the best touch for our 2 kids! We would definitely go back!
Beautiful and warm hotel, delicious food, clean and excellent service.
Everything is perfekt. A very peaceful and nice place.
We went on this Feb. A beautiful Hotel with a gorgeous beach. I loved the food of most of the restaurants but specially Los Lirios. The only think was we got the feeling the people working there are more interested on serving people from other countries than Mexican people. We felt very uncomfortable some times because you can tell the differences when they were serving us that the rest of the guests and It's very sad because we are from the same country. Even that we loved the resort and are planning to return ending this year or next year. Hopefully you can work on those situations for next time.
We really enjoyed our stay. Very family friendly — especially for younger kids there is enough to keep them busy all week.
Fantastic service and facilities. Not your typical concrete resort but a Mayan jungle experience included, plus many restaurants and waterslides. Pools and area for adults only and great entertainment. Our sixth visit!
Such a fantastic experience. Superb staff and accommodations. Fantastic time!
The resort was beautiful and we loved being situated in the adult-only area within the jungle. We attended Juan Carlos' daily yoga class which was a highlight of the trip. He was an extremely knowledgeable and approachable instructor who made class enjoyable for any fitness level while providing the opportunity to challenge yourself. The class left us feeling relaxed and was a wonderful addition to our experience.
For being a 5 star resort I expected a bit more. The nature all around is beautiful, that was my favorite part. Pros; Walking outside the resort is great, such great views, not to mention a cenote included. The food was ok, it took some looking around to really find some good restaurants. The best by far is Los Lirios, but we waited 1 hour and half to be seated. Cons: room installations and amenities not all there, toilets don’t flush properly, cleanliness is lacking, such as decorative pillows smelling like they have never been washed, very simple rooms. Mind you I had a superior room. I understand this is an “eco” resort, but they can definitely do better with installations and amenities. The beach area is beautiful, until you get in the beach, there all sorts of rocks and I mean huge rocks, that makes it super uncomfortable to even swim. The “general” side of the beach area, doesn’t accommodate all people with children, since the other side is adults only, and it is basically empty. You are still not allowed to sit there, so basically no chairs, you get to stand. Wi-Fi wasn’t working for 3 days, and calling reception continually and no answer. So there is some lacking over all. All in all, we will enjoy whatever we can since we have a few days left.
Great place and very good attention from the staff.
What can I say other than … it was amazing! The hotel in itself is amazing, being that they preserved its natural environment, along with animals. Every staff member there knows more than one language. They take time in the ecological tour around the hotel, to explain to you the Mayan history. I have not ever been in a trip where the room was always soooo tidy and so ecological friendly. Best time I had with my kids. Did I mention they have a spa on premise too… staff where amazing, friendly, kind and just went above and beyond. Just because of the customer service from the hotel staff I give my visit 5 stars… the only downfall is that they have people there ready to sell you vacations. My person wasn’t too happy that I didn’t want to invest at the moment due to some financially setbacks. Oh well. Other than that amazing.
We love this Resort-great entertainment, staff, and all around beautiful resort. The wild life makes for a new experience each visit! Can't wait for the next trip!
This resort is very family oriented, I loved it! All the staff is very friendly and there are so much activities to do as a group or family. The shows are really good! I give it a 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very appreciated our stay from 24th june to 1st July 2019. Great staff, always happy to serve you and one of the best family place you can ever ask for.
Was great and amazing place to be in, my family and I love it.
Family oriented resort with everything you want to see on the property; cenotes, archeological site, water park, and excellent food and service.
Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, what can I say other than awesome. I took my family to the resort and we had a blast. I felt as though I was well taken care of the whole time and that they really do care about the experience and the resort they have built and kept alive. One solid was for Moni who runs the Jade River Swim — what a wicked experience, she is awesome. As well, Abraham in the sports bar is a drink wizard. Make sure you check out this place again.
Great place to go and relax on the beach. Food is good booze is good. The staff is excellent and attentive. Shows are good. Love the sailboats, they limit to half hour each outing. Skip the timeshare presentation or make sure you get something good for your time. I've stayed there 3 different times and I'll go back again.
This place is amazing. Regardless of what America news tells you, this place makes me feel safe. For being a place where nature is all around you, it was extremely clean! The staff literally work day and night to keep things clean and organized not just for you but for the wild life as well. The staff were also helpful, friendly and warm. I highly recommend this resort and will be making my next trip at sandos!
AMAZING place! It's not a typical resort, this resort is literally surrounded by nature. My family loved it! Lots of things to do and the staff was great. Take water shoes, the beach has rocks and they are slippery. All the restaurants have great food. The only down side was that the Hibachi grill was not available, we stayed for 6 days and they told us it was already booked for the next 7 days. Other than that it was a great resort!
My wife and I went here for out Honeymoon! It was amazing! All the Staff is super friendly and competent in English! Every day our rooms were immaculate as were the amenities. There are lots of family friendly activities and happy kids everywhere. Being adults it was easy to find quite places that were adult only if we wanted time to relax and have quite. The restaurants rotate an adults only night as well so if you were so inclined you could eat at any restaurant a different night of the week and not have kids around you (this didn't matter to us, and the kids were never loud or unruly). I highly recommend this location! Further more there are cute animals always running around the place!
We had a great trip and this was a very clean resort with helpful employees. A lot of fun things to do and see. I would say do not go get your free gift after you check in as all they want you to do is sign up for a 90min timeshare tour and try to rope you in. The beach is nice but wear water shoes as there are a lot of rocks and coral. The paths are fun and lead to fun nature things with fun appearances from any animals. It was easy to get a ride and to leave the resort if you chose. We felt safe and found our way around after the 1st day. Oh… fun evening nightly shows!
Very nice, well kept get away for those who like privacy or for families with children. Tropical trees with wild monkeys eating from your hand, many other cute animals and reptiles, a little zoo right on premises (all rescued animals and birds). I liked the fact its eco hotel encouraging guests not to waste but recycle instead. Many food choices, even all vegan restaurants (the reception told us the owner is vegetarian himself). We went to another Sandos 10 min away by taxi (sandos playacar) since its part of the same resort, but that other place was much more crowded (restaurants, pool, bars) and we noticed that all people we met there were speaking Spanish vs Sandos caracol is more international. While we watched world cup games at the bar at premises we saw many europeans from many different countries and heard all kind of languages spoken. The only thing I personally didnt find attractive in the resort was a rocky beach. May be I am too spoiled by sandy Florida's beaches :-)
The in-house activities are great! Sign up for the water tour, kayaking and snorkeling, and I recommend the nature meditation tour! I loved the food! The best part is the staff, service at its best, Karla and Yamilet go above and beyond on their tours!
We are actually at the resort currently. I’ve read several post saying the food is just ok.
let me tell you I’m traveling with 2 Vegetarians and a picky eater. We have yet to starve!
We ate at Los Lirios tonight and had a amazing T-bone. The grilled Veges were still firm and full of flavor. For Breakfast today we at at the Mexican Buffet and I’m not sure what I ate but please try things out of your comfort zone before making comments that there food is just ok.
There is only 1 place kids can’t get into after 8 and 1 is families before 9.
There is 1 restaurant every day that is Adult only. Your giving that schedule when you check in!
“We had a great time but the beach was too sandy and the water was too blue… ” The rest of these reviews are ridiculous. We had an excellent time. It’s not the Ritz but we didn’t pay Ritz prices. My wife and two kids enjoyed every minute of it. Food was good, drinks were good, pools and beach were great and our room was outstanding. We had two rooms, two showers and an outdoor balcony hot tub. I’d recommend this to all…
Stunningly beautiful. Great people. Food was all inclusive and generic but tasty nonetheless. Overall a really pleasant experience. Restaurants were great. We loved our stay.
It's a nice hotel. The vast area allows both holidaymakers and local people to coexist; all sorts of birds, aguchi, noses, raccoons, monkeys, turtles, iguanas. There is a water park divided into adult and children's areas. Spas are not cheap. A good yoga instructor. The entrance to the sea is rocky — take slippers. In early May there were algae, but after the rain. The food in the restaurants is high-quality and varied. A vegan restaurant. Vegetarians and pescetarians have a lot to choose from. Good bars. All wine is Spanish. White two species. A sparkling in the morning sat in the morning song) Evening animation is dedicated to the history of the Maya. Three times a week of presentation, but essentially the same thing) The resort is sharpened for the Americans, so everything is clean and high quality. I recommend it, but don't sit there hopelessly. Since you have arrived in another world, so explore the pyramids, cenotas, towns. Have a good time!
Very bad place.
The specific reason for spending a week at this resort was to attend my son's wedding. I definitely feel comfortable recommending this resort to anyone! 42 of us who attended all agreed it was a fantastic experience. We shared so many delicious meals at their fabulous restaurants, partied or relaxed in the evenings at so many great venues and retired at night to well kept rooms. The staff was amazing, no matter what position they held and they should all feel proud of themselves for their keen understanding of what excellent guest services actually means. I especially want to give a big shout out to the bartender in the Main Lobby for saving the day when one of our wedding decorations go trashed en route from Vancouver. Mamacita truly appreciated your help! I wish all of you well until we meet again!
Fun fun place to have a family vacation. The resort is spread out enough that it never feels crowded. Make reservations for the specialty restaurants as soon as you arrive. They don't have a limit on the specialty dinners but do book up. The water park is great with enjoyable slides for very young children as well as adults. The grounds are well kept. The sand and beach are gorgeous. There is a beach front pool, bar, and snack bar. The staff is friendly and the price is very economic.
The hotel is very interesting. In the style of Playa de Carmen. The only negative for me personally-it's too dark rooms… But at such a quantity of greens-probably on other and will not turn out. The hotel is as though inscribed in vegetation… In hot weather it is probably good. If there are no mosquitoes yet. Not Cancun that's for sure. More like a jungle on the shore of Oeana.
My wife and I just returned from Sandos Caracol, although we had a couple of issues while we were there, the staff was always very helpful and took care of any issues. If you are going here to get in the play in the ocean, you will be disappointed. It is very rocky off shore, but if you just enjoy the beach, it has a nice beach. Lots of pools if you want to get in the water. Plenty of places to eat, with many choices. Food was very good but not what I would call great. Rooms were nice but dated. We made many friend with the staff and we will be going back.
I had my wedding here and it was amazing. The resort offers so much to do for all ages in the family. The buffets are alright, but the Steak and Seafood and Brazilian Restaurants were top notch! Great staff, everyone very friendly very clean resort, with again so much to do!
Too rustic and very jungle for my taste! Lots of mosquitoes! Very dirty bathrooms! Water park and very nice pools! The beach has many stones but there is a small reef that you can see Pecesitos!
Great family place. Beautiful beach and great resort.
My experience was very nice the staff is very attentive also have very good animation if you like to dance the Zumba classes on the beach, the animators Alex, Emilio. They're very good.
Also the shocks are very good.
and food for all tastes.
The Best hotel away! The truth is a hotel to go with your family, in couple or alone! It has a super water park! What surprised us is also the famous cenote, where you can swim, is like a natural freshwater pool where the water is at a perfect temperature if you want to refresh yourself, is a very natural place where nature predominates over constructions, the restaurants are delicious, and the variety of concepts does not get tired of the food ever, the attention is spectacular, you always have someone to reach you something or this willing to help you, is a highly recommended place, we will return soon and every Time you can,!
The hotel is perfect for resting, its staff is very friendly, but you can't enter the water on the beach because it has big stones with which you can hurt your legs.
Great hotel with lots of entertainment and a great team. Lots of sights to visit around. There is also a lot of pool in the area and the rooms are very comfortable and very clean, they all contain a safe. There are 4 outgoing restaurants in the complex: an Italian, an international, a Mexican and a Japanese (on reservation). For parents wanting to leave their children, they can because there is a Kids Club. During the rainy days a multitude of animations are offered not to bother you. Cocktails, drinks… are free: there are bars all over the area.
I highly recommend this hotel which is superb.
Great hotel in which we had a dream honeymoon trip. Cocktail and food at will, animals in liberties, nature respected, personal with small onions and many activities proposed, are the words that best characterize this hotel. What is also very appreciable is that there is a corner reserved only for adults and a taxi service at the top.
I was in my room, ready to pack after a really great stay. I had the deadbolt and upper-latch in their locked positions. An employee came to the door, without knocking, and tried to open my door. Because it was locked, it did not open for them. They proceeded to tug and pull on the door while I got up to see who would dare try to break and enter in broad daylight. I saw, through my peep hole, they were wearing the apparel of the Sandos employees. I unlocked my door, and attempted to open it to ask what was so urgent that they felt they needed to come in without knocking first… but my door would not open. I was locked in from the outside. I tried calling the front desk, and no one was answering. Finally someone picked up, said "one moment please" in Spanish, and before I could ask for help, she put me on hold. It felt like an eternity. I hung up, as the man was still at my door, and he was shortly joined by another employee, who opened my door from the outside. I asked what on Earth they needed, and neither of them spoke English, but they communicated to me that they wanted to restock my fridge/mini bar. FOR REAL!?!? I looked at the door, and the handle was pulled away from the wood by about 2 inches on the outside. The men left, and I called security, who thankfully answered. A security guard came up and fixed my door, and as he spoke some English, I tried to tell him what happened. He seemed unbothered that I was sobbing my eyes out from being scared to death.
Absolutely splendid as a place! We don't want to leave!
Great resort for the family. The kids loved seeing all the monkeys and animals. Rooms and grounds were very clean, staff was super friendly. The only thing we found not great was the food. The beach had lots of sea urchins but all in all we had a great time. The pools were a lot of fun and were open till 11:00 so that was good for a late swim. Great place to stay with kids.
We are Royal Elite Partners for years and we are delighted with this hotel. We come from Argentina between 2 and 3 times a year. It's perfect…!
A beautiful place, not to go out to any place during your stay since it has all the services and a territorial extension that keeps us all the time inside the hotel, facilities of first and with the option to visit the other complexes of San dos in Playa Arge Ntina the best beach there, and in Cancun, only to rest will have to return to their place where they are hosted, no doubt excellent restaurants, re omentum the Japanese, but others in the same way especially the international where they personalize and especially their captain Attentive to each table without letting go of details and say out some I remedied it quickly, definitely for the kids a fantastic place as their pools and slides are unique in the area, impressive along with the watch and entertainment group always, especially the Shows at night, do not forget to take into account this place to operate with the family and see archaeological areas inside. Excellent place. Best regards.
Now to be clear, the reason for this rating is because of the lack of honesty and integrity by this resort. At checkout, I was told that I owe a fee of $69 for transportation back to the airport. I asked if the transport was here and was told by the front desk manager that I didn't confirm the service. If I didn't confirm the service, why am I being charged? After being held hostage for 20 minutes while I tried to dispute the charge, I finally paid the $69 so they would let me leave. I will be disputing this charge with the credit card company since I did not get the service that they charged me for. I did take a taxi to the airport and had to pay an additional $45. I'm truly disappointed by this. I've been to Mexico at least 6 times, this was by far the worst experience. Also, the photographers take pictures of kids without the parents consent. It happened twice to me while I was there. I also witnessed another little girl being photographed without an adult nearby. The drinks were just plain awful. The food as mediocre. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone after the experience. Shame on you Sandos!
We spent 12 nights (March 2018) in this beautiful resort. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and had always a smile on. It felt like the resort was build right in the middle of the jungle, a lot of greenery and animals. We tried every restaurant at least once. We even were able to reserve two dinners at the Tepanyaki (Japanese restaurant with a great cooking show). Make sure you reserve as early as possible, because there is a long waiting list. Although the most surprising restaurant was the Salvia (vegan food) at the beach front — try the stuffed pepper! Amazing! Special thanks to Alberto and his team.
From the moment we arrived the attention is the best the person who received attentive and charismatic us orientated on the activities of the hotel and what we loved most was the direct contact with nature and the way the hotel has been attached to it.
Great hotel, beautiful vegetation, good restaurant, beautiful place in couple or family.
Fairy Place, lots of animals, well treated, nice place, well maintained, employees speak Spanish, English, and many learn French, varied food for all tastes, very nice employees, thank you very much to our housekeeper, Ansel may, a real silk and thanks to Fernando a server at the international restaurant really welcoming and entertaining, the only bémol… la Rocky beach, but that we knew, then there are swimming pools been a cenote to bathe, it's still nice, no one bothered us for Time sharing and sellers on the beach, are little bothersome, I would go back anytime. Thank you for beautiful memories.
Being that it is the hotel that adapts to sustainable tourism I must say it is very nice but, to my liking, a bit sloppy or dirty. Being that there are animals in the enclosure, which I find excellent, should handle the cleanliness better.
Not first time in Riviera Maya but first time the resort hotel. I have been in adult only section, penthouse room was really big and comfortable. Services in swimming pool, restaurant and bar for adult was just ok. Nobody spoke English! Communicating with the service not an easy task. The beach does not belong to comfortable, a lot of stones, you have to be very careful when you swimming. Also first time in mane live to travels I have to wait two hours to check in at the hotel, like everyone else who just come to the hotels. Summarizing how much cost me and mane family Sandos Caracol we can stay much better resort in Riviera Maya.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is great. Our favorite restaurant was The International! Be sure to bring tips for the excellent daily room service! Spent a week here! These people love noise!
Nice hotel. Buildings widely distributed in the mangrove forest. So it's not so crowded either. Some restaurants. Good food. Wide range of drinks. A theatre with an interesting evening programme.
There is also area only for adults. Also on the beach. There it is also quieter if someone does not like crying children on holiday.
Lots of wild animals on the grounds. Especially nasal bears are very sweet. You have to beware of monkeys. They are very cheeky and with the window open they also come into the room and steal everything.
The area is nice and the grounds are well organized and kept in clean and proper order. Lots of wildlife and fauna to engage your days. The beach is nice and white, but normal seaweed seasons cause a mess. Lots of sea life if you like that sort of thing. Only bad part, most of the food is abysmal. That may be somewhat because of International Clientele mandates a wide and unfamiliar offering. I ate mostly hamburgers. Still-and-all, the nicest actual resort I've stayed, sans-food.
The hotel is highly recommended, has a family zone and an adult area (Select Club), which is very convenient depending on the plan in which they travel.
The food is good in all the restaurants, the rooms are very simple but comfortable, the shows especially the ceremonies are amazing.
The only one but I could put it is the beach as they have a lot of sargazo, however with all the activities there are, it loses importance to the beach.
A real crap in every way and you steal the employees. Choose another hotel this one does not serve even more expensive it will cost them cheaper to the last.
Great Resort. We went for our honeymoon trip. Just a tip, don't pick up the Select Adult Club. It's not worth it, there are children everywhere.
Good service, magical place, excellent attention. Overall very good.
He lacks more nightly entertainment.
The beach is not good.
They make you waste a lot of time (3 hours) to sell you the vacation club membership.
The Sandos resort was an amazing resort, but it's more geared towards family's with children. They have a place to drop off your kids and they do amazing events with the kids as long as they are 5 or older. The water park is decent but nothing like the photos. Maybe unrelated, but by out of 11 of us. 8 got pretty sick for a night.
Patric Loeser and his team have delivered me the best service I have ever experienced. Again at any time. Thumbs up. From the dive sellers I was a bit disappointed because they tried to hide costs. So you always have to ask three times. The diving school, on the other hand, did a good job and the reef Inah is fantastic for snorkeling:)
The attention is good only that even if you have "all inclusive" try to sell you many things.
By the way, if a family member wants to see you have Q pay 100 dollars for their entry.
If you need the doctor, the cost is 105, 000.
I highly recommend making reservations for the Tepanyaki restaurant.
Anyway, the attention is good.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Overall really nice resort. Food is excellent, steak and seafood restaurant was by far the best. Buffets are all solid. Didn't care for the Brazilian restaurant. Staff super friendly and everything is very clean. Only minus is the reception, not enough people working and anything at the front desk takes forever to complete. Over an hour to check in. I'm worried about checking out.
Caracol was enjoyable for a day trip. The environment is very unique, filled with wildlife and mangroves. It would be an enjoyable stay for a family with small children however I would recommend another resort for couples or groups without kids. We were staying at another nearby Sandos resort and just visiting for the day (for free). But based on the available food and amenities we couldn't wait to get back to our own resort.
Am immersive jungle experience coupled with an all inclusive resort accommodation. Highly recommend if you've got kids 4 to 12. Water park is huge and an experience of it's own. Even though there's a lot of visitors, the expanse is so large that there's an inclusive feel. We'll be back!
I could spend all afternoon writing about the place, has everything you need to spend a dream vacation. Being mixed with the jungle gives you that special plus. It's beautiful to walk around and meet all kinds of animals. The people in the hotel have an excellent deal, they are all very friendly. The hotel facilities are great. Very good drinks and lots of bars! Rich food and varied, although not close to the Argentinian food.
Very good entertainment too! It's impossible to get bored in that place there's always something to do.
No doubt I recommend it!
Excellent Hotel. Very nice site. Staff very friendly, helpful, to the customer's worries. We had taken an eco room, but we were upgraded for free to a suite with Jacuzzi due to lack of room in eco. The room is very good, they are imitation house in the middle of nature with several room inside. In the room there is a mini bar, with beer, and liqueurs, filled every day. We also have a room temperature water machine, but I advise against the use, because I in my case I was sick. The room are very little soundproof, often hear children screaming outside, or neighbors in the rooms next door, so sleep with plugs if the noise is inconvenient, it is absolutely necessary to avoid everything that is water, meat ground or raw, etc. The restaurants type buffet, it remains to be desired. The food is served cold, with a taste a little bland. The best is the Italian buffet, it is at this place that the food is the best, especially at lunch. As for a la carte restaurants, the food is very good, very nice plate presentation, very helpful server, and this, for all the restaurant we have tried (all except vegetarian). As for the bars, if you tip, you will have a very generous amount of alcohol in all your glasses. All inclusive this is great. For the beach, although the view is superb, the space very well laid out with deckchairs, both in the shade and in the sun, the sea is difficult to bathe because there are a lot of rocks inside, and lots of waves at times.
Excellent service throughout the hotel, but in particular the attention of the team of the Aqua Park Tripadvisor/Sandos Caracol, composed by: The manager Héctor, Salomé, Adair, Jonathan F. Benjamin, Shanne Omar, Marco and Gregorio, who have given us this week of stay In Sandos have been very attentive, careful in everything, ie excellent. Keep it up, boys.
Excellent hotel! Highly recommended. Lots of things to do and enjoy.
Excellent attention Jesús González Méndez. Outstanding Waiter!
Definitely one of the best experiences for me and my family. Maybe the only bad thing is that we Mexicans make the change of dollars to pesos haha. But from there on out excellent.
We got married here with a group of 39 of us November 18-25th 2017. The food was fantastic, the drinks were great and the surroundings of animals and jungle atmosphere was magical. I would go back in a heart beat. The resort staff and wedding staff were top notch we had zero complaints. Our wedding was amazing and this trip with friends and family will be one of the most special things I have ever experienced. Love this place!
We had a wonderful room! Freshly updated — wonderful bathroom, amazing bed and a great patio. The food was amazing! The Steak House and Mediterranean restaurants were my personal favorites. Helpful staff and great service.
Wonderful resort that caters to adults and families. Great place for everybody to enjoy with lots of activities. The staff is helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. There is a wide variety of food to chose from as there are 8 restaurants and a 24 hour snack bar. The beach is clean, with an adult only area and a family area. There is even a water park. My favorite part is the free roaming wild animals as this resort is situated in the jungle.
Excellent.
All perfect from start to finish. The water parks both adults and children are fantastic. The bike tour and the natural areas are excellent.
No doubt I have loved it so much that I have returned there on 3 occasions and would return without hesitation.
We have been in several vacations as a family and this was by far the best thing our family has ever done together. The rooms were modern and very clean. There was always staff doing upkeep on the buildings, nothing seemed run-down. We have 4 kids so we had to pay for two rooms, which I think is standard among all resorts. The food is very good. Does not seem like cafeteria good like some resort we have stayed at. I never felt sick from the food. The staff are all very friendly and very hard working and yet do not act needy for tips. The only thing that was a downside for me was the coral off the main beach. It was a little hard for the kids to play in the ocean, but they got there fill and there was so many other things to do and see on the resort that they didn't feel deprived. I would recommend this resort to everyone but it caters particularly well to families. We will definitely be planning another trip here!
A splendid village, immersed in the green, animals that live it. A paradise. Entertainment with exceptional evening events. Only negative element that I would like to point out is that the sea is not what I expected but precise that from good apulian my standards are demanding.
Animals everywhere, definitely the biggest perk. Variety of food/restaurants. Good size rooms. Clean beach. Paths need more night lighting, major trip hazard. No music at adults pool. Pushy to join club/membership.
We just stayed for 2 weeks for our honeymoon, unfortunately we never got the romantic package that we had been promised despite many claims we were in adult only the adult only reception is never open! Dirty Room The first week as we learned it after many staff +-80 fired for theft. The 2nd week Nickel room as new staff engaged. Beach Adult only really nickel to dive in mask and snorkel it's great against normal beach and royal elite not at the top at all. For all couples without children I advise you the adult only. Very nice and attentive staff. Speaking only French, we made it clear. Thanks to the staff. Despite the QQ B-MOL from the beginning of the stay. We will go back. What a pleasure to wake up with a little monkey on the balcony or other animals.
The most beautiful 3 weeks vacation so far. We stayed in November/December 2014 at Sandos and had a great time. We stayed with our 28-member wedding party there and all have only great memories of this stay. It is really nice that the hotel is divided into smaller houses that lie in the middle of the jungle. Monkeys and other animals also inhabit the jungle and can also be looked at once. The food in the restaurants is excellent and the Mexican friendliness is always felt here as well. We got married next door at the Grand Coral Beach Club and this is also an exceptionally nice place to stay.
Beautiful village, very nice, friendly and always with the smile, a flaw and only for the animals that enter the snack bar while you eat you have to be careful, but the other restaurants are perfect, there are 8 restaurants (Mexican, Japponese, Brazilian, Vegetarian the sage not to take the pasta I recommend, etc. Another flaw is the pasta however we are in Mexico we can stay.
All well a unique experience immersed in the green a land paradise cordiality and assistance… and a good organization to redo.
Very nice hotel in the jungle. What a joy to wake up with the sound of birds and monkeys. We stayed there a week in June and everything was perfect. The staff were very nice. The restaurants, the bars, the pools, the cenote, the landscapes, everything was fine.
Avoid at all costs. Unless you have a gold or black band (members only) you are treated like second class citizens. All three family pools — the only ones accessible by green/yellow band non members, have building works — extensive jack hammer and angle grinder level work not the hand tools we were warned of just a month before our trip leaving us no time to make alternative plans.
Lovely resort, tons of activities for kids and adults alike. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. About a 45 minute drive from Cancun airport. There is so much to do here and in the surrounding territories from shopping to exploring ruins and excellent beaches. My only regret is not staying longer. I was here for 4 days but to truly soak up the culture and the area, one should stay at least a week. Looking forward to going back. The wildlife roaming the resort is a first but you get used to it quickly and remember, DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS!
Absolutely amazing! I only paid $800 for a whole week's stay — flights from Michigan included! For a great room, friendly staff, unlimited food, unlimited drinks, and an all-around excellent 5-star resort, that's incredible. I never ran out of things to do. Every day was an exciting adventure. It was so amazing, that I found it was the perfect place to propose to the love of my life. She said yes! I do, however, have a few nitpicks I hope the resort can resolve before I visit again. The bikes were just garbage. The only working ones were reserved for staff. Some of the nicer restaurants severely over-cooked our food — especially the steak. There was a mix up with our room locations. Otherwise, I have no complaints. 5 stars.
Very nice hotel but do not go there is currently working and the hammer pic are quite disturbing J stay there currently and regret the whole temple part is closed C is really a pity.
Absolutely love it here, there is nothing I don't like about Sandos Caracol. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to help You, the rooms are nice and are cleaned everyday with fresh bedding and towels replaced daily, the food is delicious, some of the shows were fantastic especially the fire of life show on Saturday nights, the resort jungle is perfect and clean, as is the whole resort. The cenotes are beautiful. The pools and water park are great. Whether you want to just relax by the pools or on the beach or go on an adventure this is the place to do it. Very highly recommended, I can't wait for my next visit.
My grandson, his girlfriend (both 18 yrs old) and I had a wonderful time at this resort. I read numerous reviews prior to leaving and I am glad I didn't base my decision to stay at this resort on some of them. The room was exceptionally clean, bathroom was spotless and have no complaints on the room what so ever. The grounds are beautiful, numerous paths to take for walks but somewhat confusing at first. Found a lot of little things to see on those little lost journeys including lots of animals. The beach area was very nice, the water had rocks so we wore our water shoes. I like a beach with rocks and waves crashing in on them and it gave us lots of places to dig for shells around the rocks. The food in the buffet was satisfactory, certainly had enough choices for everyone to find something. We didn't reserve at the Japanese restaurant early enough to get in, but thought I would check at the desk as I was walking by and a couple was cancelling 3 of their 12 reserved spots. So we were able to enjoy the spectacular Hibachi Chef show as he prepared our meal. The food was absolutely superb, it was the highlight of my trip… Thank you Sandos Caracol Resort! Now for my only disappointment… I feel it was lacking night time entertainment options. The shows were all Mayan related or for children. I enjoyed the outside fire show, but it was a little long and seem to be repetitive type dancing.
The place is beautiful and vast. By cons The beach leaves to be desired, many rocks and algae. The food is good and there is a nice variety of restaurants.
Beautiful site, full of animals at liberty on the site. Take the trouble to do the yoga class, the instructor is absolutely fantastic. The adult section is worth it if you do not travel with children. The only downside is the beach, it is not particularly conducive to swimming since it is very rocky.
The place itself is really beautiful, great the beach, with algae, of which however you knew there were, very polite employees! It sins a little in general cleaning and food, but there are so many things to distract you from these last two that make you forget, it is worth to come!
We've stayed at the princess resorts before, and this resort doesn't really stack up. I let them know the first day that our shower wasn't draining, and that because of a recent surgery it increased my risk of infection. It took three days and five complaints to get things fixed. My wife and I are getting a free private dinner on the beach out of it, but I would rather have just not wasted time trying to get stuff fixed. A lady next to me yesterday at the concierge said she had the same problem, and it took multiple visits to the front desk to get her issues resolved as well. The food is okay, and the drinks are okay… And that pretty much sums up the whole resort… Just okay.
This resort is different than most down here. With the "Eco" theme in mind, there are animals and plants everywhere. It was unlike any resort I had been to. I would recommend it for families or anyone who wants something a little different than the usual "all-inclusive" vibe. It was a great experience and fun to see the animals around every corner. The on-site cenote is nice and the ruins are cool. The beach is a little rocky but still beautiful.
Great treasure. … if immersed in the Mexicana nature. … All the same. There is also a natural cenotes… highly recommend.
Visited end of January 2016. Wonderful room in the adult only section. Beautiful pool and beaches. Rocky in the water, don't forget water shoes. Not a lot of night life. The night club is a restaurant before 11 pm. As a couple we had a wonderful time.
We've stayed at Sandos in playa del Carmen 2 years ago and loved it. This resort was soooo disappointing. You can't swim at the beach. We paid more to be in Adults only section and it was so lame. Had no music, no pool bar and furthest place from the ocean. Our room had sewer smell coming from the shower drain. One day we were up late and headed for buffet brunch. All the restaurants were shut down 11-1230/1 The only good thing was our friends wedding.
Nice hotel, eco-friendly is what I like the most.
A very nice place for family vacation! very clean, very eco-friendly great diversity of animals but missing the beach : (the area that has the beach is very small and full of rocks and kelp, I had a problem getting to the hotel because I was not given the rooms that you buy (like 5 months in advance) as you reach the 31st of December (end of year) the hotel was oversold, I had no other option but to accept the room they gave me (with jacuzzi) but it was not in the area royal elite as I bought it, I was very well attended and I was given bottles of tequila for every night in the place, amenities for the room change even as we would in the family the rooms were distant and that clearly I had asked to purchase, in order that it was no problem because it was a beautiful hotel and very well taken care of we ate lobster until hartarnos! we enjoyed a lot and we had a very short time, the next time I'll go in another season and for many more days! what I also liked was that they offered me to know the membership. The drinks need a little bit of flavor, to send to both barmen train or something like that, all the people that work there very friendly and attentive. My bracelet was always gold since buy royal elite even that the room varied but all good. Definitely return!
Good place to come. Price is right. Good food. Good atmosphere. You won't regret coming here.
Me encato is a beautiful hotel.
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very kind and helpful. Beach was a little small, but pools were great. The Mayan paths were great for hiking and their was great sight's and natural views. We had a great time!
Maybe it was not what I was expecting and I will number: 1. Rooms 0/10: old, dark, TERRIBLE pillows, black outs did not even cover the extension of the window, old tv, no cable reception not even to watch the news for a few minutes. First we had room at block 48 and we "upgraded" to 21 (the best) but it was all the same. 2. Restaurants 2/10: had breakfast and it was ok, had dinner at the seafood restaurant and — 2/10. We both received cold soups, cold linguini and nothing awesome. 3. The beach 0/10: there was no beach! It was a really short beach full of rocks and algae, no way to go into the sea. That's what made me realize we were at the wrong place, people did not go for the beach, they went for other attractions I was not even interested in. 4. Service 2/10: took lots of time for them to bring the baby crib, distances are so long I feel I was lucky the crib ever got to our room. I feel so lucky I was able t come to the sandals Cancun, more expensive but worth it. We obviously had to pay for the upgrade but very cent of it was with it.
The people that work there are all kind & as accommodating as possible it seems. It's taken me awhile to figure out where things are & the location of activities & times can be unpredictable at times. I should mention my daughter spent most the day sick from something she ate last night. I don't know if it was her system not agreeing with the Mexican buffet or something she ate wasn't good. Aside to this, the food is pretty good. We still have a few more days left & I hope to have a better experience with our time remaining.
The truth we spent the christmas 2015 and the experience was super and the treatment of the whole entire staff friendly good cute created when we send you the promotions the truth I coming back each time you could $$ ha ha and it is not expensive because it is all inclusive. The truth will not earn a 10 if not a 100…
Perfecty. The Hotel is very bealtyfull end clean. The employes are very fryendly, the foods are very tasty. I loved this resort, I'll go back there!
Nice big all inclusive Eco resort with plastic cutlery. They could do better eco-wise. Rooms are ok. Not upscale tho.
Went with my husband and 15 month old baby. Lots of pros like — Great variety of options for activities, beautiful jungle-like foliage with animals, pools, and a suspension bridge, Mayan ruins on the resort grounds, a "water park" with slides for kids, a kids club (for those over 4, if under 4 parent must stay w kiddo), beautiful beach, great mojitos (make sure to ask for Bacardi), lots of food options (book early in your stay for the a la carte restaurants), really entertaining shows, 24 hour snack bar, and "sports bar" (bar with pool, ping pong, and foosball tables nearby), as well as gym and spa (adults only, so we didn't get to try it). The people who take photos of you and your family do a really good job. Cons — lots of mosquitos (low to the ground, our baby didn't get bitten but I got tons of bites… forgot to put on the repellent they provide! ) ; buffet food not great (Mexican buffet was the best! ), but a la carte better (we tried Italian and teppanyaki) ; lots of rocks in the water at the beach (but nice sand to walk on, and warm water) ; very poor Wi-Fi in the standard rooms (works great in lobby and other public areas) ; TV reception also poor; lots of rain (in mid November — obviously not the resort's fault, but be aware. A plus of going at this time was that it really was not crowded at all, and still warm, 75-85 despite the rain) ; photos for sale really expensive ($20/photo up to 5…).
Experience xcalacoco.
Excellent services, very complete for a 4 star hotel. Good variety of foods and drinks. Many green areas including manglars and savage animals. The only issue are the insects, which are everywhere, including inside the rooms, I recommend insect repelents.
A hotel that regresere without a doubt. We are very happy with the vacation experience that we spent at Sandos, owe much to the girls of the Restored Lily who always looked after us with all kindness (I don't remember their names : (but boys many congratulations and thanks) as well as owe all their support to Adolfo and Martin (or is called Peter mmmmm) good, are the two guys that are in charge of the tour with a swim in the River Jade, without a doubt, these guys are the best guides, I tell them they are in the water I entered a fit of panic, horrible, and these guys were commissioned super profesinalmente help me, support me and reassure me achieving that I could enjoy such a beautiful trip, "the boys, thank you", likewise owe their hospitality to Francisco's programs Royal Elite, who without doubt was one of the best hosts of the hotel, so the girl in charge of the cleaning of my room always very aware that we are not missing anything, thank you to all for making this vacation unforgettable moments…
My son hurt his finger nail inside of your pool because a tile was broken, and the "paramedic" who attended wanted to remove the nail without anesthesia and cutting off with a needle, fortunately, the red cross, which is 5 min only cleaned and we were told that it was not necessary to remove the nail. As it is possible that being a luxury hotel not be able to provide a quality medical service.
Excellent place. Attention d wonder. Place p enjoy the ecology and its corners. Beach c a lot of stone. Wonderful care. My son lost his tablet when we returned and they were worried x devolvernosla to a few friends q were still x out there. Impeccable.
I think q attempt to serve the tourist. But start their beds are hard in excess. Their nutrients are in excess, but the same food every day. Its attractions or events are of very low quality. In terms of the staff I called excellent. The pools feel q do not have the toilet due. But in terms of the shared experience with nature very well on a personal not coming back.
I travel with my family 29 (Wednesday) July 2015 to August 03 (Monday) and they talk, there is No room service care when booking I made the reservation through expedia, and said that if it included but we were not given, I asked since we got a room on the first floor because we made it easier for my wife is 5 months pregnant (I was told that if they had rooms available but we never changed), in the room we had a sofa bed and had no sheets or pillows, all the pillows were very uncomfortable (well pachonas and very hard), the pool of children (aquapark) at close to 6: 20 and 6 30 pm very early at that time just this ideal for the children to be playing without sun, in that same area when we arrived we were told that it was a bar for drinks (beer, beverages, etc) to "entertain" the adults and ohhh surprise does not have service was a lie what they said to us, you have to get out of the pool to go for juices or soft drinks, but no alcoholic beverages, and if you want to go for a drink you have to walk 200 meters, the staff was very friendly, but I believe that we need to improve that part. Drinks only, you can get at the sports bar (24 hrs) from there on out to close early at the main pool bar drinks close at 5: 30 pm is a joke vdd with those schedules. Maybe I listen as if it were alcoholic but as you crave on VACATION, so I limited the hotel (in 5 days I drink 8 beers and exaggerating), The beach of the hotel is dirty. My recommendation if you are going with young children, 1.
Very good attention, it seemed to me very good place very nice, very nice, as to not get out of there, very good atmosphere.
1. — The main pool was really dirty 2. — Mosquitos couldn't walk anywhere without getting bit 3. — food sucked! 4. — everything is far away from hotel room it felt like you had to walk a mile to get anywhere. And hope to not get lost It was a horrible experience for my family and I. Only thing we enjoyed was our ride out of their this place really sucks ass.
Totally elitist. Marked as res. Yes, the bracelet green, gold or black. I hate the time share of hotels, in their eagerness to sell you something, by the way, yes I would like, personally I would. My husband is kind and he accepted. In the reception of only adults, the kind of totally racist. In your care zero gesture of kindness. But q as he tried to abroad. Very smiling and friendly. We would have said q wanted to converse in English, Italian, or French. Incensed by the racist treatment. This is what discussed the type of time share, and his response was: "that type of bracelet to bring" sic. Apology? … If it is green … Fucked… If it is golden not so fucked up, but not selected… If it is black chingon… do Not tolerate such irreverence… My money and my stay was just as important because to pay for to be in that hotel regardless of the plan q any customer I bought. Very bare-bones variety of the night, the food average… Such actions made me find all the inconsistencies of the hotel. It seeks to preserve the ecosystem of the place, and customers leaving drinks in the bridge q crosses the room game, what happens if the beer or juice falls into the water… It alters the ecosystem? Number of times q vi vessels with liquids… Forgiveness were fucking… At the beach amount of cigarette butts and a kind blonde pouring beer in the sea… Clear but at the national very bad deal. In the snack bar very poor quality food.
Very good experience! Very friendly staff, good service, excellent food and the best for the kids, the Aqua Park!
Excellent!. The environment, the facilities, the restaurants and all staff working at the hotel (entertainment, guest toilet, reception, waiters, etc), they make the stay very pleasant and in a very welcoming atmosphere… I'm going to come back.
Excellent service, very good food, very good service! Recommended.
Very good service, all the employees very attentive and a very good attitude my only feedback to the hotel would be the selling agents that greets you on your arrival, they want to sell you time-shares in a way obsessed, are fools, and take time to be who you want to come to rest and eat for the long trip besides that if your answer is no, bother and even bad face you make.
It is very father and cater very well.
Very unique Eco Resort in the Riviera Maya, great for families, one of my favorites. Don't miss the evening shows they are amazing.
Again in this wonderful hotel thanks to the staff of the hotel which is an extraordinary helpfulness little wink eye michelle has the reception and jesus at the restaurant the laguna for their professionalism MUCHOS GRACIAS.
Great Place to stay in Mexico. The staff were very nice and the food was good. Would have given 5 stars if the beach was less rocky.
We had a great time there! not your typical party resort. There's so much to see and do. The food was great, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Do be aware, this resort is in the jungle! There are mosquitos to deal with! The have repellant stations set up, but it a very good idea to bring your own. Also, the beach isn't pure white sand like at the artifically constructed beaches in Cancun. These are fairly rocky. That makes them much more interesting for snorkeling, though! Oh, and because it's an eco minded resort, there is no bottled water in your room's mini fridge. Instead you get a water cooler in your room. It would be a good idea to bring a water bottle with you. Some rooms don't have many power outlets, so if you have a lot of gadgets that need charging, bring a powerbar too.
My family and I got back from Sandos Caracol yesterday. We absolutely loved it! I can't think of one thing that I didn't like. It was amazing. Every single employee was VERY friendly and super nice. We stayed there for a week, and by the time we left, all the employees were like family to us, and the resort was like a home away from home. We met so many new people and had so much fun. The drinks on the beach are super good, and the entertainment comity is amazing! They started a game of volleyball with us, along with some other people on the beach. We played for 2 hours straight, and by the end of the game, we were all best friends. Then, one of the members, Michelle, invited us to do Zumba with her. The Zumba was so much fun! There are also shows every night that are awesome! One of them was Freddy Jackson (Michael Jackson) and it was phenomenal! I felt like I was in an MJ concert! The day we left was the worst day ever. It was so hard! I wanted to stay forever! The employees made sure to tell us that we need to come back next year because they loved our family. It was heartbreaking leaving them. There are so many more things that I could talk about. It is just simply amazing. Five stars is not near enough to rate it. This is by far the best resort and vacation ever.
An excellent Avidai in the Brazilian restaurant treated us amazing, a great attitude of service, I read the previous comments and feared the worst, but nothing to do, was incredible.
Booked a ocean view with balcony. It was disappointing to say the least. We arrived around 10:30pm and checked into a room with no view of the ocean, however a great view of all the duct work, no balcony, an empty mini bar and a broken TV. I immediately called the front desk and was told that the hotel was full and we wouldn't be able to move until the next day. After asking for the mini bar to be stocked and the TV to be fixed, the desk clerk offered that since we were moving rooms tomorrow could we just live with the issues. I explained that it was unacceptable and after several calls and trips to the service desk our mini bar was stocked and the TV was replaced about 1am. The next morning when I inquired about our new room I was told we would have to check out of our current room at 12 and our new room wouldn't be available until after 4. We had to pack up all of our stuff and leave it with the concierge. Upon receiving our new room key we grabbed our bags and headed up. Much to our dismay, the new room didn't have a balcony either although the view was markedly better. It may seem trivial, but I picked the package I did because my girlfriend talked about having our morning coffee on the balcony. My girlfriend was pretty disappointed and said she would go talk to the front desk. When she questioned the clerk she was handed another room key and told she could see if that room (with a balcony) was more to her liking. She took the key and headed to the new room.
I went two weeks ago and happened to me the same thing, as they were giving away, but upon arrival I had a charge by 3, 200 pesos, the bathrooms have no doors, the drinks fatal, over saturated the hotel without space for activities and others, the rooms with old TVs, very bad truth, the food the attention in the lobby very bad people who are working there seems that you are asking for a favor, NO LO recommend very expensive for what they offer.
Mira lupita Richardson Zumba. Here we are.
Explained me that what I paid is only the Commission of the travel agency, really Sandos me was "giving away" stay my question is and who asked her to Sandos I gave that?! I paid a travel agency alleged promotion to enjoy a holiday with my family, and being in the hotel reception without letting me enter my room said, — how much you have to pay so that it is not a 'gift'! — drew me other things so very bad experience.
What left him clear up to my children, they are if you have green cuff of the messed up.
And they still dare to offer a membership, with a tedious and false sales process. Returns to clarify the philosophy of the group in terms of discrimination.
do not sell those packages such as holidays please sell them as what they are (part of a sales process) and can assure you that if you buy them is by that are interested in investing and the attitude of staff exchange to guests.
But then it is not me that thank Sandos for your kind gift that my family will enjoy 3 nights (they went out before)
in its facilities and ecological luxury rooms with televisions in the Decade of the 90s baths with molten light bulbs and broken contacts walls that do not hide anything what you can be doing than together, and its fabulous and luxurious Kool-Aid unsweetened drink of welcome.
Congratulations! all were 7 nights and not what we could spend better, I congratulate all staff that actually we who are frequent travellers the best place in care, warmth and all what you can expect to spend some excellent holiday we offer it SANDOS CARACOL.
We had our wedding at Eco Resort and Spa. The wedding planner had everything I wanted and more! The resort was awsome, there were alot of things for everyone to do and if you have kids believe me they will be kept busy! Every night they had excellent entertainment for all ages, the best entertainment I've ever seen at any Resort I've been to! Play Del Carmen was about 15-20 min away. The only down side was our room, We stayed at the Royal Elite Penthouse an the room was not that big, our friends stayed at the Adult select and their room was bigger. Also if you decide to go PLEASE do not feed the animals as they have signs and also tell you. We see many stupid people feeding them and then give food to their kids to feed them! If you go "Enjoy and have a great time and WEAR sunscreen! lol.
It is the worst hotel you've gone, in Web site put some pictures and quarters are ugly, they smell ugly, they are full of mosquitoes. We complain about the cleaning and the answer was. If you don't like them go. Us ending before leaving: it seems very bad quality Beach Spa is horrible! and very poor service.
Sensational for peaceful families. Ideal to go with children. Wonderful treatment of workers and good facilities. 10 theme ecology and 10 by what my kids have enjoyed. And us. It is not a hotel holiday is relax and family. But much much much better than what we expected after reading the comments. I recommend it and I will.

The wait at the restaurants are ridiculous and there is no communication. Twice we have waited over an hour to be told they are full or closed! The frustration is that they repeatedly let people in before us simply because the complained loud enough whilst in the queue. Being polite doesn't get you anywhere in the resort 😡
