I definitely recommend this place. The staff is very helpful, you're in the center of the city with great access to all the activities there (and still only a five or ten minute walk to either shore / beach), and the price is reasonable. The room was very clean and came with both a fan and A/C, though I wished the windows had screens on them as we didn't want to let bugs in, but the outside temperature was perfect (in February). We stayed here in a room with a kid's loft (without any kids, but it was what we could get on short notice). The loft was really cozy and probably great for a kid you can trust to handle a ladder on her own. It's technically "stairs", but is so steep, the distinction for little hands might be small. The loft itself is really cute and our 7 year old niece that visited us loved it and wanted to stay there rather than at the resort they were at. The Wi-Fi was spotty, but then, so was cell data on the island, usually at the same times. Not just a problem in this hotel, but all over the island (unless at the big resorts maybe). Bandwidth often cycled up and down between 2Mbps and 0. Usually good enough for the internet, but I wouldn't want to try and do real work here over a VPN. Breakfast was basically a continental breakfast, but we usually skipped it and ate at one of the many restaurants nearby. The hotel is situated on a walking street over several restaurants, shops, and bars, and we had a street view for our stay. It was noisy, but the noise died down around 11:30 each evening and was very quiet by midnight. The noise often started up again between 5 and 7 am, so if you're not comfortable sleeping in a "city" environment, you might ask for a room that doesn't face the street. The hotel rents towels for taking out of the hotel for a deposit of about $10USD (you can exchange them for clean ones at any time) and rents out an in-room safe for a deposit of about $20USD. We had no problems with anything "going missing" throughout our stay and while usually only the front desk staff spoke English (or felt comfortably that they could), the entire staff was great and very helpful.
