Yesterday I was visiting the city of Oaxaca and called the Hotel Casa Sierra Azul to ask about rates, which were made accessible to me, when I decided to approach the hotel I was surprised that the receptionist increased the rates more than twice what she had told me per call, arguing that she had not received any call from me and that no one else could have answered the phone (even though I showed her the call from my cell phone and she claimed it was the hotel number). I have a lack of respect for myself and my time.

Comfortable, Mexican decor, friendly, helpful staff, great location. Stayed six days and would highly recommend!

Take your precautions, have no parking and the street is very unsafe, if you decide to stay it is very important that you look for a pension for your car. If you book on the platforms, do not be guided by the photos, most rooms are old and maintenance-free. Also, don't consider the comments of your staff, which is unre engaged. Sure with this budget you get something better. Guaranteed. Avoid headaches.

Amazing butic hotel the truth.

Little seriousness on the part of the hotel to honor their commitments. Had a cancellation arising out of the contingency. Have taken more than 18 days to return the money. Are deposit and does not meet. I write to know the status and leave you in seen. In order to a total lack of seriousness and commitment with the client. Would not recommend for anything a hotel with this seriousness as questionable.

The hotel is in an excellent location a few steps from the zocalo of oaxaca city, its terrace is wonderful as is the attention of the staff, we left my dog ashkan and I, and my dog was in encantadisimo with the bed that we got we really liked the hotel, very nice terrace and pario many congratulations continue with this excellent service.

We were 6 days hosted and all super well-very attentive everyone from reception, waiter to all, the rooms are spacious, the bathroom as mr. Martin super friendly, EXCELLENT ALL BY YOUR POST THAT you WOULD return TO STAY.

After the 3rd time staying here, it truly feels like home. Perfect mix of tradition and modernity, unpretentious and elegant and still a little funky, in a good way.

The location is spectacular, just 2 blocks from the main square and the main markets. Casa de Sierra Azul is a great place for a weekend getaway.

Excellent choice of centrally located and their breakfasts delicious the rooms upstairs without more modern but with more noise of preference the bottoms away from the kitchen the staff very friendly.

A very comfortable place to stay, close to el zocalo (oaxaca main square) if you stay here you close to coffee shops restaurants museums and can even walk to Santo Domingo.

Definitely a beautiful place, so central that makes you want to do everything, the staff of the best, the fabulous food, is worth staying for a weekend.

This is a beautiful colonial era building. It's perfect for holding an event such as a wedding, because the building itself provides the decoration. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Also, this hotel has some of the best service to offer. The staff is very polite and helpful, while the manager will do what he can to make sure you're happy and have a great time.

I recommend this place to everyone travelling to oaxaca centro. Nice staff, beautiful rooms, super clean, very well located. Would go back anytime.

Excellent facilities, the ambience of the restaurant in the courtyard is relaxing at any time; To work, have a good coffee in the afternoon or just rest.
Dan on loan bikes, very few hotels do.

Great location, amazing customer service and the cleanliness is 5 stars. Teverything in Oaxaca is full of history and this place is not the exception.

The reception is clean and friendly. Our room was right on the courtyard next to the restaurant cashier. There was a table for four right outside our door. We called it our table but other customers would sit there. We could hear their conversations in our room. One customer smoked and we could smell it in our room. The waiters are very nice and do their best to give good service but sometimes there is only one! Don't be in a hurry if you eat at the restaurant. We got complimentary fruit, juice, coffee for breakfast. Everything else has to be ordered and paid for. Our room was comfortable despite being so in the middle of things. You have to play with the hot water for a decent shower. Bath mats would be safe. The toilet seat in 115 needs to be replaced. Our TV was getting wet from the condensation of the air conditioner. The remote was not connecting with the TV and they came and took the TV for repair. We got two beers on the house for the inconvenience. They returned the TV later that day. I loved the courtyard and cactus. The fountain is quaint. The location is perfect for walking to the zocalo which is a plaza surrounded by restaurants, bars, many many vendors, musicians, performers, and local people. The Benito Juarez Mercado is a shopper's dream! I enjoyed my stay at Casa De Sierra Azul.

I loved Hotel Casa De Sierra Azul. Great courtyard for breakfast or to just hang out in. Perfect service. They found us a drive for a few day. We were happy with his service also. Loved that we could walk almost anyplace in town. We had both our dogs with no problem except for fireworks. Found some good restaurants and ate bugs I Love Oaxaca. I would stay at Casa de Sierra azul anytime. Very nice. I felt blessed to be there. Thank you for your wonderful service. Joan, Brodus y Ruby Rodgers.

Dog friendly! Our friends and their dog and my husband and I and our dog stayed for 6 days. We would definitely go back. The staff was great and very helpful and accommodating, especially with our dogs!

Excellent restaurant and rooms a luxury.

Incredible traditional Mexican "casona" turned into a quaint hotel right downtown Oaxaca. Beautiful spacious accommodations, great cozy courtyard area with beautiful plants and furniture and a nice little fountain. Meals were excellent at a good price and the service was outstanding. Our family was in town for an event and we reserved a few rooms — we felt like we were in a family house.
The location could not be better. 1 block from main square, 5 blocks from Santo Domingo, a few blocks from main roads to Monte Alban, Tule, airport, etc.
Will stay here whenever we're back in Oaxaca.

The least that could be expected for a 4 star hotel.
