Terrible service, the staff is extremely rude, the rooms are very old, the water came out of the bathroom strainer, the food is very bad, personally I do not recommend it to go with children.
My experience in the hotel was not pleasant, I wish they could improve many aspects of the hotel such as the pool that due to the lack of tiles cut.

They do not respect the reservations being there they did not respect the reservation and they made us extra charge arguing that children over 6 years old pay more from the beginning of the reservation there was no clause that said that, I do not recommend it.

lousy service the truth is horrible 😕 it was super bad taste in the mouth,
the whole group was disappointed,
of 45 people just exaggerating 6 haven't complained to my husband
first the rooms were not delivered to the whole group until 7 o'clock at night,
instead of being told at such times they will be ready they made us return every half hour,
the cards did not open the rooms we had to go to reception by someone, when we ordered something at the bar we no longer have tequila, beer, milk etc,
my little girl cut herself in one of the pools,
dirty areas,
a bar staff became very arrogant and offended,
in the service bathrooms there was no roll, soap,
the terrible truth and what I lacked to write.

What they have left over from dinner is given from breakfast, when there are many people I understand that there are limits on drinks by people but when it is literally alone you in the pool can be kinder! I am aware of the pandemic but I think they use it to lower the quality of their service!

Supersonal is very rude. The very sangron restaurant really expected more kindness from its staff is an expensive hotel that promises too much to see the constant Geta of its staff. They were asked for a chair to recharge a backpack to Sr. Marcela and super rude people said no.

The pool in poor condition lacks tiles and cuts, the lousy restaurant service there are not enough waiters, the food tasteless. There were no towels to get out of the pool. The truth is that I do not recommend it because for the price you can get something better.

A not very pleasant experience, chiches in rooms, reduced drinks, very basic foods, rooms with unpleasant smells, the staff of waiters and receptionist of the restaurant friendly the only thing salvageable from the hotel.

Poor service, poorly faced and overbearing staff seems to be what he is required to hire clowns and mules… bad food and drinks… does not serve air conditioning etc etc… And apart the lady is asked for a drink after 15 min says that there is no order another and decr that we wait for why there are so many orders haha… yet you are not complying with what you offer want us to expect pfff PUSUS!

Excellent treatment of everyone in the hotel, they are very friendly, excellent cleanliness in rooms and overall throughout the hotel, delicious food, especially the Italian restaurant, the only detail are the mosquitoes at night in the Marina café restaurant, there were many and it was awkward, I think it was missing to fumigate. The lady who is in the mornings in the lobby, preparing the coffee very early, is very attentive and kind she does a great job.
I highly recommend it, it is the second time I have stayed and it is a very familiar atmosphere.

Excellent hotel, the staff in this place is the best I have encountered in any hotel so far and that's one of the most important things to consider. The common areas are clean and well kept, the restaurants are simply divine, it can be both familiar and romantic, it offers a stunning view of La Marina and the beach. All in all, the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

Worst hotel l have ever stayed. Terrible service, definitely NOT a 4 star, maybe a 2, food’s horrible, facilities even worse, customer service never heard of it, etc You need to have very very low expectation to stay in a hotel this bad.

The truth the service is very good, the only detail I give 4 stars for is because it took me more than an hour to deliver the room key. But they are so demanding when you have to deliver this very. From then on everything is excellent, the food, the Games, the areas, the cleanliness all very well.

We stayed at Vamar for 4 days, from the beginning it was bad. They didn’t want to give us our room until 3 pm (we arrived at 8am) once we got our room on the 4th floor the beds where full of insects! Looked like termites! Under the pillows on the curtains everywhere! We got a different room and that one didn’t have a shower curtain, shower head didn’t properly work. Pools are nice and clean and food is alright. Some of the servers had bad attitude took them forever to bring some soda, bartenders at the main pool where super rude!

Excellent location, super friendly staff, clean and super comfortable annotations, a variety of meals and don't tell the seafood restaurant a la carte and good not enough time to say all the good things about this hotel.! Recommended to.!

The hotel is divided into 2 parts by an avenue, the main pool and the main restaurants are on one side, the snack and the beach are on the other side of the avenue. Something quite annoying when you want to rest.

It is a very nice hotel, very simple but the service and the food are very good. It has 2 sections one in the marine part and another on the beach, so if you are in the rooms of the marina you must walk to the beach and vice versa. It has a view of the sunrises in the Marina Super Bonita; It still has details to improve; But it's a good lodging option.

Every crummy thing posted here is true. As a heavy traveler, worldwide, this is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The shower flooded the floor and sprayed like a lawn sprinkler, AC didn't work, heavily worn facility very poorly maintained, hard beds, crummy pillows, bed includes bottom sheet only, Warning signs for sewage in ocean. All inclusive does not mean drinking water, you get one bottle with a warning label and directions to buy more at the desk. The buffet was edible, the specialty restaurants were always empty when you walk by, but always booked fully if you tried to make a reservation. LONG way from downtown. Don't know if that is good or bad. The best part was nearness to Marina walk. Within walking distance there is a clean well maintained area with nice restaurants and shops you can escape this place to. The city itself has devolved to third world filth and sadness with poverty and misery at every turn, infrastructure is collapsing and nobody is doing anything about it. PV is lost. An awful trip from every angle, this hotel was a big part of that.

Good place to rest and vacation. Rooms with all services and buildings with elevator. Excellent view of the marina or the beach. Lunch 24 hrs a day. Drinks and food very well. They don't have a dive inside the hotel.

I don't know if it was bad luck but I got the worst room 1013, the corner. Entry did not serve the plate, it took an hour to send someone from MTO. To replenish it, dirty curtains, old furniture and too much noise at night as it is next to the winery, should not be used to accommodate anyone. Restaurants closed, bad food. The only redeemable thing is the staff service. In short my worst stay in a hotel.

The only good thing about here is the buffet. When we booked our stay it clearly says FOR 3 person. But as soon as we got there Mr. Victor not only he didn't let us talk to the manager but also acted racist. They charge Us $375 dollars extra even thou we had already paid $875.00 our email said otherwise. Since they don't read English we translated and He got an even worsed attitude! If you are planning to go make sure you call the manager ahead of time before you agree to terms. Another thing Don't leave any keys there! someone took the towel key from top of TV stand I left it for security purposes since we had another key. And they charge us for that too when we complainted!

Is a good hotel to rest, the food is very good and the staff are kindly people. You Will enjoy a lot good moments with your family and friends, good place to swim in its pools and the sea.

This is our home away from home in Puerta Vallarta. We love the friendly staff, and great food. We recommend to all our friends and family.

The room is very comfortable, air conditioning shop. The pools on this side and across the Carca Street to the sea are also very nice and comfortable because you don't have to leave the Albarca to go for a drink. The buffet and the Italian food restaurant are very good and the buffet is next to a jetty but has beautiful views to eat.

Good place to rest, good pools, in general very attentive staff, but in the Italian restaurant took an hour and twenty five minutes to serve the second dish, (I just ordered a soup and the strong plate) do not offer apology or give explanation.

The rooms were great and you even got to see a friendly iguana here and there sometimes. I can't wait to go back.

The rooms are nothing of the other world but have everything you need and normal in a hotel room the overall attention is good, you have access to the beach and the marina, the food is quite good and varied and has pools, although that is, two of the pools are freezing. And at 9 pm usually do family events in a theater they have, these events can be comedy, dancing, etc… In general a very good hotel, comfortable and familiar.

Pools with fresh to cold water in December. Missing a place where families can gather to play dominoes, lottery, etc or a bar with chairs and live music. There isn't.

I booked through expedia for SIX nights. When I got there, they claimed they never got my reservation from expedia. The guy at the desk dismissively stated expedia messed up and that's my problem. He asked me to give down payment for a night 'and maybe if expedia figures it out, I might have a room for FIVE nights total. ' I guess I would sleep outside the last night… expedia said they had the confirmation. I guess this resort gave my room away and lied. Good, I got free upgrade to a better place.

Terrible experience and didn't even had the chance to visit the hotel because we made and paid a reservation for 5 people and when we called a week before to make sure that everything was right, they told us that our reservation was only for 2 people and that we had to pay three times the amount they charged us, with no notice. We tried to cancel and they didn't wanted to give us money back. The problem is that the reservation we did for 5 people said it was for x amount which we where ok with, and at the end of the day, that was supposedly only for 2 people. Bad staff, specially Elba Peña from the hotel that didn't tried to solve the situation. It is a scam. I attach a picture of the rate they offer and once paid, they change the rate and want to charge 3 times more, and when trying to cancel, they don't want to give money back.

Nice facilities, very poor planning of the hotel's attractions is all very separate, its restaurant Magallanes (Italian) lousy service of the staff, in the villa where I touched did not serve the air conditioning and smelled horrible to humidity, the only good thing would be The drinks (and anyway the Casiquean) Why the buffet food there is no variety. The heated pool was always cold and dirty (I went in cold weather), I would not go back to this place.

Exactly the place to pick up what I forgot to pack. Little bit of Spanish helps, but staff was helpful to those who need it. Some familiar brands, lots of new ones. Better prices than Tourista Trappos, and WAY WAY better than aboard ship.

The service of the staff is good, they are all very attentive to their respective functions. The restaurant "Italian" (which is actually more fusion) is superb in its service and food, give yourself the opportunity to make reservations for this. In my case I had no complaints of the food nor breakfast buffet of the common areas, although my companions did not like so much in service or dishes. We held an event for 100 people and there was no problem in logistics with the hotel. The location is good both for walking through the marina as well as on the beach, although this has little sand space. Pools are enough. I consider that the price you pay is consistent with what you receive and if you add the good service, then you win.

This place is a total dump. Pretty sure the people giving the "great" reviews on this hotel are getting paid or getting discounts to give this hotel a 5/5. I booked this hotel for our family the last 2 days of our stay because of an emergency cancelation on our flight and given this was a budget friendly hotel and all inclusive we went ahead and booked it plus the pictures on the website looked good. Cons: 1. The room smelled like a sewer (I see where others have made the same review on this issue as well :/) 2. There are bees and flies EVERYWHERE! Literally everywhere, on the food, the pool, by the drinks. This is a major problem… and everyone goes about it like it's nothing. The other hotel had flies and bees but not like this hotel. 3. The pool is dirty with no one cleaning it. This is a shame as my daughter wanted to swim but when there are dead bugs and trash in the pool, this is a no go. There are many others I can add to this list but these where the major deal breakers to this hotel. The villa side however looked like it would've been the better side to stay on since it looked clean and kept compared to the other side of the "resort". Spend the extra $$ and stay somewhere else.

They moved our iPads from one bag to the other making us think that they were stolen and cost us our ride home on the way back to the hotel we found it in another bag costing us 6 first class tickets and a taxi ride.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful period is places by the marina. The food was good it is after all buffets with a couple regular restaurant.

My brother is staying here right now through Xtreme Trips. His room was locked, yet broken into and all of his secured possessions were stolen. The hotel takes no responsibility. Since the room was locked… Yet STILL broken into… the hotel employees may even be the ones breaking into the rooms, as suggested in previous reviews. Multiple people have had similar experiences with their rooms being broken into. Do not stay here unless you do not leave any possessions in your room. Insane absolutely horrible resort! not worth it at all.

In the marina area. Lots of restaurants nearby and nice to walk around the marina. The marina is on one side and the beach is on the other across the street. Clean rooms. Good food. Nice staff.

Very bad and unfortunate experience. The service of cleaning of room is good, but everything else regular. And with respect to the administration, veeery bad service. We only made half of the payment total, and when we spoke to correct his error. Only give explanations silly, excuses, don't pass the charge, and you never solve the problem. If you need to check your journey, think about it twice.

1. College kids beware — the alcohol you drink for free (all inclusive) is the worst — in fact it is toxic & you can get very sick from it — it's not the tequila that's making you sick, it's the toxic kind they use. I know this from a very reputable source! This year (2016) several went to the hospital. 2. Be sure if you don't carry your valuables/money with you, it will disappear. 3. Some rooms are skanky. 4. Food is mediocre and you'll find you need to go elsewhere & pay to eat better. 5. Parents of college kids, know that they keep an ambulance here 24hrs while the kids are here because they can't handle "all you can drink for free", this year kids were on top of the balcony ledge & one fell many stories, others couldn't walk & fell cracking their heads along with many other incidents. I was witness to this! 6. One more for Parents, kids were lined up at the drug stores and bought all of their narcotics which can be gotten without prescriptions!

It is a good spot with all inclusive and access to the beach and the main hotel on the marina side. Walking distance to the extreme adventure zip line by Vallarta adventures (5). Good was great and staff was very helpful. Not a modern hotel so don't expect it to look perfect. Our room had no problems while some in our party had a door not lock or or missing a shower curtain so water went out. But in all I only slept in the room and the beds were comfy and AC had a cool remote. T. V. Has some English cable channels for night watching. Jaun at the desk with Marian helped check in quickly. Manuel at the door helped with English to Spanish and got our bags to the room or taxis. Some nightly entertainment was provided which is nice to take in of the culture. We did take advantage of the safe just in case.

Excellent service from the time you arrive until you vasa, all are very friendly and the facilities are in great conditions, about the food should have more variety, but in general they have very good taste, the rooms are very well appointed and the staff is always very willing.

Vacationing College kids have claimed that their valuables (Smart Phones, jewelry and cash, etc. ) have mysteriously vanished from their rooms. By most accounts, the maid service appears to be very active and just as equally brazen. Yet no one says anything? Really? Apparently this is well known among the kids. Maybe more parents and tour operators should be aware of this too… so they can find someplace else for their kids to stay where they can come home with what they arrive with (more or less, considering that they're college kids. ) Some comments posted on Trip Advisor should provide a warning: “One of the worst hotel experiences” … “awful place don´t come” … “Travelers Beware” … And a comment from Expedia provides a good wrap up: "Horrible! Do not stay here!

I've been to many hotels, but this is one of the best three in ten years of my life. If I recommend that they go to the vamar vallarta, sheraton and crown paradise.

The property was beautiful. The staff very friendly and accommodating as best they could. They tried to have activities all day and evening for the guests, which was very nice. However, the beds were extremely hard along with the pillows. Very difficult to sleep on those beds. One of the ceiling fans was not working in the room, the cable was fuzzy or not working, and no internet! The masseuses will be giving this hotel a bad reputation, since they were willing to provide more than just the massage to the male customers (with the wife just on the other side of a curtain)! This hotel could be great with some major adjustments: better mattresses and box springs; better bed linens; better pillows; make sure there is working cable and internet; provide small refrigerators in the rooms, since they do have kitchens; ceiling fans over the front desk area for the employees; better computer system for the front desk so that employees can effectively work on check-ins and check-outs, etc. Seriously, if the hotel has been open for a year, how can it have all these issues without any changes?

Don’t stay here if you can’t get a room with a balcony. Our room had “patio” style windows that didn’t block any of the considerable noise from below. Every night we were kept awake by music and parties into the morning hours. The bathroom had no ventilation and the same bad windows. Bath tub had standing water as the drain was on the high end. Not worth half what we had to pay. The only positive aspect is that the wait staff is very nice and do their jobs very well.

The resort was a nice place, a little old, but not bad. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. It's in a very convenient location, close to the airport. We probably won't go back there. The price for us was good, for we used Groupon. I wouldn't want to pay full price.
