This weekend our story is written in an ancient house of the 30's, in one of the exclusive areas of Guadalajara, this house was the first construction focused to receive tourists, being the first boutique hotel in this great city.
Upon entering you receive a warm atmosphere, the staff is very attentive, Zamanta, Armando, Carlos and Emmanuel are some of the collaborators of whom we had excellent attention.
In the Pedro Páramo room, we had the opportunity to read, work on some projects, rest and philosophize this wonderful life that has everything a little.
10 rooms named after some characters from the book of Pedro Páramo, inspiration of the owners due to an exhibition of the son of one of the greatest Mexican writers Juan Rulfo.
Interestingly last week on our visit to Comala, Pueblo Mágico, I found the books of Pedro Páramo, El Llano en llamas and a biography of this writer, which I read in my pre-school days, how different the readings are, although they are the same books.
The names of the rooms are as follows:

Just perfect, quiet, well appointed rooms, great service, close to restaurants, private garden. Escape the major hotel chains and enjoy individual attention. Would recommend highly.

We were fortunate to book our short stay in Guadalajara at Villa Ganz Boutique Hotel. We called in our reservation to request a suite with a tub and a nice view. The only suite available was brand new, it has not been named yet (Room 27). Because we were informed that this room was new to the hotel, we could not complain. In fact, we were delighted that this room is located towards the back of the hotel in a very private area. We had our own private terrace with a beautiful fountain and seating area. There is a lonely fish living in the fountain! The bonus for us, we were impressed with the quiet area near our suite. Another thing to mention, their A/C worked unlike our previous stays in another famous hotel in the historic center. During reservations, we were informed that there would be a special Morracan dinner with a French chef that would run late into the night on Saturday. We were amazed that we could not hear the music from our room during this special dinner. If we had opted to stay in our room, we would not have been bothered by any noise at all. The hotel may not have a large number of rooms but it is very charming, clean, and safe. They offer continental breakfast but you can always order from the menu with a fee which my husband and I did each morning. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. They offer fresh juices, as well. We were delighted that the reception staff spoke English very well, although we do speak Spanish.

Excellent hotel to stay with family and friends. Very satisfied with staff. Good breakfast served very fast. I went four years ago and still have the same quality and care for its costumers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope to be visiting this hotel again in the future.

Enjoyed this friendly, cozy, beautiful boutique hotel with great breakfast, located around restaurants and bars close to Centro Historico and University of Guadalajara and museums. Surprised and delighted by the two story plumeria gracing our balcony windows. Did we take advantage of the complimentary gym passes two blocks away! Such a helpful staff that spoke English for us! Often we would relax and be calmed looking up at the arched brick ceiling and chandelier in our bedroom!

Beautiful hotel in the midst of Guadalajara. Wish we could have stayed here longer. Juts felt so amazing here. Everything was done right — with the breakfast down to the all so relaxing ambience — especially at night. Location is also amazing. Must stay here.

We do a lot of traveling, and this is one of the best places we've ever stayed. Felt like a gome. Service couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The neighborhood is fun. Rooms were comfortable, quiet, very beautifully decorated. The garden is something special. Would come back to stay again.

Almost don't want to tell a soul about how amazing this place is so that I can go here very year and be incredibly spoiled. The staff is amazing. A hidden gem. A total retreat from the city within the city.

Great little hotel in Guadalajara… Very cozy unique place… Beautifully decorated and highly recommended.

Located in an excellent location, easily accessible. It has some parking drawers. It has a spectacular service on the part of all the hotel staff. The breakfasts are delicious and they have a beautiful terrace and garden to be able to rest and relax.

I was staying 4 days and stay fascinated with beautiful, the rooms, the garden, the staff, everything was wonderful.

A cozy place, has various corners decorated with tasteful, comfortable and an excellent service.
While taking a drink in one of the armchairs I read a bit of Miro, as on the table had a manual about this great painter. I called it attention because in the home was the painting of woman, bird and star.
The garden and the terrace I loved, a very pleasant evening.
If I recommend it!

The only downside is the construction of the side… There was noise.

Beautiful boutique hotel. We stayed in one of their suite rooms that had a swing in it, which was very unique. This place has very limited room availability because it's built like an hacienda, so it's very quaint and relaxing. The courtyard is also beautiful with all the foliage and greenery. Their breakfast is meh, there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel where you can go and have some good Mexican food. Oh, and they have wine+prosciutto for the guests every night, which is a nice touch.

Attentive service in an attractive boutique hotel with quaint rooms. Excellent breakfast in the cute garden (get the chilaquiles), and a they perfectly executed a private romantic dinner on the patio — I still dream about the Tortilla soup I had here. If you need a private driver to go to Tequila, or Tlaquepaque for shopping, or even just around Guadalajara, ask them to get you Melchor.
