This place is a dump. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! They have bedbugs, terrible accommodations and overpriced. Look elsewhere — only reason we stayed here is because there were no other options. Worst hostel I have ever stayed in of all time.

This place is awesome for what you get! About $16 dollars a night for the shared room with private curtains and a lovely common area with hammocks and little swings. There's a kitchen so you can cook, and a cat who loves attention. Filtered water is provided for drinking because the tap is not safe. It also primarily serves scuba divers, which creates a nice feeling of community and means people don't wanna get trashed and quiet hours are respected. Service is excellent and staff are kind. My two nitpicks are that the mattresses weren't the comfiest and warm water in the showers didn't really work, but these didn't bother me at all.

I stayed 3 nights here. Friendly staff, nice facilities, well stocked kitchen, and clean restrooms and showers. Beds had privacy curtains and personal outlets and lockers. Nice lounge areas for mingling with other travelers. Only drawback was mosquitoes. There is also a bar available. Alcohol consumption is limited to what beer is available. I look forward to staying again!

Such a nice place to stay! There is this great offer if you book a dive with them, you can stay a night for free. The hostel is chilled and very clean. They offer cheap drinks at the hostel bar. The staff is very friendly, same for the diving teachers!

I spent a good amount of time chosing this hostel. I decided to go in and see if I can book on the spot because I was not even sure if I will make it to Cozumel at all.
When I arrived-receptionist spoke English, very good for Mexico. I wanted to take the private room which is £52 a night or. She told me it will take 30 min for them to prepare it and to wait.
They accept only payment in cash or paypal. Mind you for paypal I was asked to pay with 5% more to cover their charges. I said I can pay by the end of the day as I need to withdraw money. I also could not pay with paypal as my paypal is connected to my number and I had no roaming. I think those details are important. The receptionist said I need to pay before she left me in. My question is: who carries 2400 pesos in them on a normal day?!? I had enough money to pay by card… but well.
After being scammed twice only today. And having a horrific holiday, I just wanted a bit of piece and quiet. If I am to pay you upwards of £50 a night I expect a different treatment.
I took my stuff and left. Before I started crying.
Maybe it is a wonderful hostel… but maybe it is not.
P. S. Read the owner`s review. I personally think I dodged a bullet. I never reviewed their rooms and did explain what my review is based on-the customer service I received when I tried to check in. All they owner to do is say they can maybe do better next time or do something different.

Amazing hostel! Rooms are chill, huge common area, 2 kitchens, grill, books, guitar, hammocks and steady supply of coconuts. Taco places for 20p a taco plenty around, big supermarket too, all 4min walk away Stayed for 3 nights, amazing for meeting people.
Chilled with people, who are doing their dive master courses and staying longer. One night we made a cozy bbq, where everyone contributed a little. Other nights went out to jump and swimming in the ocean and chill drinking beers.
Rented bike, but my tire got flat like on 2 separate days, they changed it no charge.
Highly recommend to do your Open Water Diving Course here cause you'll get the room and transport for free! As well as advice from company of divers.
Damn that was a good stay!

We had an amazing time. Totally took advantage of the drive package and sleeping free.
First the actual dive center — very professional staff. We didn't have the overburdening dive master always asking air or clinking house under water. They expect you to be knowledgeable according to your certification level. They were very respectful for 5 minute safety stops and open to suggestions of different locations to dive. Very flexible and made the traveling streamlined from the shop to the Marina. Plus, our equipment was cleaned very well at the end of each dive. We also communicated with Randa, one of the staff members, in advance to make our bookings coincide with the hostel. This was very easy to do and very fast responses.
The hostel was impressive. I initially questioned a "free" hostel mixed room. Three room was great. The crowd was respectful, the room has air conditioning at night and there is a larger common area with a bar. There are near by super markets to grab food and store in the refrigerator with your name lable on your items.
We will be back. We had a great experience and big shot out to all the staff. There are a lot of team members behind the scenes that help out as well.

Nice place. I was given 4 nights for diving which was excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly. Especially Pedro and two Argentines. But as in everything, there is always someone who is not kind: There is a guy named Julio who does not give anything of confidence and gets nervous. But overall good.

Great space! Can't beat the convenience of the location. Plenty of room to spread out under the grand palapa whether you want to read a book (a selection is on hand) while swinging in a hammock chair or even play darts! The back yard area is spacious with a pool and a relaxing hammock area for naps in the breeze:)! Not only is there a private dorm for the girls but there is also a garden suite that offers total privacy. Lockers are available and there is also a washer/dryer on the property. They've thought of everything here! And the staff are awesome too!

Great vibe and staff. Beautiful building. Privacy, plenty of space indoors and out. Soon to have pool finished. Convenient location to downtown, groceries, restaurants, the Blue Magic Dive shop, There is nothing I didn't like about Blue Magic Hostel!
