Delightful boutique beach front property with attractive gardens. Staff were friendly, caring & efficient. A special thank you to Jean the manager who assisted us when a medical issue occurred. Will definitely stay here again when next on Rodrigues.
Highly recommended. Very friendly staff, spacious rooms in beautifully kept gardens just back from the beach. Delicious food and catered well for a pair of vegetarians.

Enjoyed four nights at a Bakwa Lodge, we stayed in lodge No 7 which had a fabulous view of the ocean, the rooms are beautifully minimalistic, very tastefully done.
We thoroughly enjoyed all meals, breakfast was excellent with home made yogurt & bread, along with fresh fruits and eggs of your choice. Evening meals were delicious! With different options of main course to choose from.
Apart from the luxury accommodation and scenery, what makes this place stand out is the staff they are warm & friendly, the service from each one of them really is outstanding. Bakwa lodge you should be extremely proud of your staff.
On another note, I do have some feedback should you ever encounter this issue again.
Whilst out sightseeing I unfortunately had a bad fall which resulted in breaking my ankle, arriving back to the lodge I had to hobble down to the lodge which I have to say was extremely painful, and resulted in further damaging my break, I am sure this is not a regular occurrence that you have to deal with, but you really could improve on your care should these eventualities arise.
