Stunning Place that could do with a make over and serious maintainance. Our room had a leaky roof. Was damp and the shower did not work. The drain from the shower was blocked. There were multiple roaches roaming our room. Seen a few rats in the walk ways. Majority of the staff. Supose senior have poor customer relation skills. Over rall was a poor stay, do not recomend nor will we return.

I had a wonderful experience there and special thanks to Rajini from beach BBQ bar. She is very friendly and gives you a very good/Rapid service. I recommend this hotel.

Best staff! Aaron so good with kids! He is the best! All the staff is friendly some more than the rest. Lin from the boathouse is super nice and we really enjoyed the activities. All the staff is very helpfull from the boathouse. The ladies from the towelbar, thanks for your chats with the kids. If I can say something about the hotel, they can approve on the service at the swimmingpool area, some of our drinks we never received. For me, a very clean room is important but the room will get a 3/5. The aircon will get 5/5. Very cool room with a aircon and ceiling fan. Ask 2 times for clean linen but after 7 nights still the same as 6 days ago. Otherwise, the room is nice. Towels was fresh every day. All the restuarants we went to was very good! The buffet meals was not so nice for lunch maybe we went to late but food variety not so good vir kids. The pizza guy could not keep up with making pizza. All the restuarants will get 8/10 just to leave space for improvement for the future. Was really good. There is so many people whose names we cannot remember but was so kind and helpfull. From the shop the guy always gave my daughter something extra like popcorn. The personal talk to my kids and make jokes. Nice to have such a family feeling from the staff. We will definitely recommend Ravenala to families with kids. It is child friendly and safe. We are happy and we will give Ravenale 8/10 overall. It was the best family vacation ever!

Very lovely and friendly staff, delicious food peaceful atmosphere. A special thanks to Mrs Ragini who made delicious cocktails for us without forgetting MrNico who really surprised me with everything. Thanks a lot guys…I really enjoyed my special day.

Absolutely loved my time here, all the staff are friendly approachable and will do anything to make your stay here one to remember. I came with my wife and young son who’s 2.5 years old and everyday they have different activities to entertain for all age groups. Would definitely recommend the Chinese and beach BBQ for a evening meal. The whole place has an amazing quite relaxing feel about it. I would definitely like to come back here again it’s being a absolute pleasure and made memories I’ll never forget. Thank you The Whites.

Such a great time there with all my friends. We had a lovely experience,, staff very helpful, good food but our favorite was at night, of course the bar and dance floor, 2 days ago there were 2 persons playing the music there was a girl and a guy mixing together,, we had a few request of songs, and we got it, they pleased absolutely everyone, even the couple that wanted bachata, that night was awesome. We had so much fun, We are already planning our next visit.

Hotel service impeccable. Room very big and comfortable. Staff very nice and would recommend that hotel to anyone. One person who has really gained my heart is Vimi the room service always with her big smile caring for anything and always helping. Hope she will be promoted soon. Without forgetting avi and mr bruno always bringing hot food to us and miss caroline who are always here to inquire about any problems. But thanks God. Hotel so good. Spent the weekend 13th-14th February at the hotel on the occasion of my nephew's birthday. It was just wonderful. Awesome staff and very welcoming. Special thanks to Mr Sabir for making my nephew's birthday memorable. The food was lovely. The pool and entertainment was fabulous! The all inclusive package is very much worth. Rooms were cleaned and new. Just a bit far from pool but nice view from our window. Surely will come again. Thank you all.

Sumptuous day today at this beautiful hotel with the IIM group. We were welcome with a huge smile on each and everyone's face here! Great animation team, very dynamic and friendly. The teambuilding was well organized, hats off to this marvelous team! Keep up the great job :) Food was awesome and super yummy, I think I've never eaten so much in my whole life lol^^ The staff is so so so nice and warm, always serving us with a smile and postive attitude! One of the most amazing Hotels I have ever been too! Luxurious rooms, very attentive and kind staff. Always lots of fun and great activities to be involved in. Wonderful experience. The staff go out of their way to cater to guests requirements. A special mention and thank you to Elizabeth at the reception and Rajni at the beach bar you added extra happiness to our stay.

It's a place for complete relaxation. The accommodation, food, amenities and above all people are fantastic. The only downside is the real beach but the beautiful river compensates for the same.

Charming and hospitable staff… that was the highlight for our family holiday. Hotel was ideally located with sandy beach. Access to food and drink all day long. It was a memorable holiday.

Their facilities are beyond good. However, their service quality was poor, compared to their food quality. A lot of staff do not speak English and they often times were not trained enough to guide guests. Reception did not provide enough info for what we can do in 'all-inclusive' deals so my wife and I needed to explore a lot by ourselves. Oh and if you are not familiar with French style of dinner (in terms of slow pace dinner), do not try O'beach because it takes 1 hour and half to get your main dish even if you ask them to rush. The view of the resort is fantastic but they have small beach.

5 stars IF A) You are travelling in July, the winter there. The North West location shields it from the winds that chill the East coast hotels B) You are travelling as a family with kids under 10. Small beach but perfect for splashing and sand castles. No waves to worry about. Decent kids club, most communication in French C) You can laugh off quirks. Help yourself to the lovely soup / ice cream. Learn on the 3rd day how to eat it with a fork rather than go through the rigmarole of obtaining a precious spoon. Put your bread through the toaster 4 times and give up when the oblivious queue behind you starts tutting in chorus. Get used to lukewarm water for rubbish tea bags and dream of your kettle and PG Tips at night. Quirks people, quirks.

We have been here for 14 days and truly love it. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The food is great as different restaurants to choose from but the main restaurant is as good. As for the staff they are fantastic never met such lovely people who aim to please but are not annoying as in some counties

We arrived here on 21st May 2018.
Our first impression was how lovely and Mauritian the entrance and lobby was. We arrived with a group of 11 people and 19 people arriving a week later. The staff at The Ravenala Hotel where great always attentive, ensuring you where ok all the way through the holiday, they couldn’t do enough for us all. The Hotel is just like you see on the photos. We loved every minute of the holiday, Ritesh was brilliant at the beach bar (amazing cocktails) a great guy to go to if you want any trip information.
Elizabeth and Terry went above and beyond to make our wedding prep and wedding day easy and special.
We all had an amazing and special holiday and have no bad words to say. Thank you to everyone there.

Spacious room idyllic personal to small care, the housekeeping is not well done but the time constraint there is for many.

What an amazing resort, went for 10 days all inclusive, the food, drink and attention to detail was spot on. Great food options with so many a la carte restaurants included with the all inclusive package. Never got bored.

The Ravenala Attitude… An awesome place to spend the leisure time in Mauritius… Rooms are neat and clean… Staff is very friendly and helpful… Has gym, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, beach volleyball court and other sports activities… There are around 10 restaurants on property, however make sure that you make reservations at least a day or two before your visit… Buffet in the main restaurant, Moziac is good in terms of quality and test however average in terms of variety… Overall great experience.

Fabulous hotel. No complain about food and services. Although getting drinking water bottles at room sometimes become difficult as the hotel runs out of stock frequently. The private beach is a beauty to rejoice. Hotel territory is humongous. More than one swimming pool. All in all its a wonderful place to stay.

Superb we are here celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary and the hotel and staff can’t do enough. We were greated with cool towels after our long journey and a cocktail. Our beach front adult only executive suite knocks spots off any other 5 star accommodation we have stayed in. Only day 2 of our 7 day stay and so looking forward to what else this amazing hotel and its staff have to offer. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to make our special holiday so amazing.

Ravenala is the best place to enjoy and relax. Its one of my fav. Clean and luxurious, mesmerising views, excellent food n service, and staffs so kind n always smiling, very welcoming. Ravenala is heaven.

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of positives — great food, drinks service on the beach, beautiful rooms. A few small things could change a lot — the waiters all rush you when eating, the skipper who takes the snorkeling trips is a grumpy old man who doesn’t take you to the good snorkeling spots because “he is scared he will loose track of you” The lagoon flowing was flowing into the sea because of recent rains which makes the sea water brown where you swim (not what you want when in Mauritius) I’m not sure if it is always like this. All in all though we enjoyed our stay though. Thank you Ravenala Team.

Just awesome experience. They made our honeymoon really special. Really clean and hygiene rooms. Breakfast and dinner buffet is just too good. They have their personal beach which is just great place to spend you leisure day. And staffs are really friendly. Overall a great experience!

We have just arrived home from our wonderful honeymoon at the Ravenala Attitude Hotel and already want to be back! : —) The hotel itself is beautiful and well presented. Our room was lovely and well looked after by Ali. We loved the pool area and the pool bar staff are a credit to the hotel… special mention to Mozahir and Shahem who were such lovely guys and really went the extra mile, making us feel well looked after daily! We really can’t thank you both enough! : —) We were all-inclusive and loved the option to dine in the 7 restaurants at the hotel as part of your stay. We booked all of our restaurants on our first day, which we would recommend to make sure you don’t miss out! We were able to try all of the restaurants and especially enjoyed the food and service in Kot Nou (Mauritian food), Madame Ming and The Bistro! Although, all of the staff in the restaurants worked extra hard to make your experience a great one. We have to give Rohan from The Bistro a special mention, he truly went out of his way to make us feel spoilt and is an asset to the hotel! : —) As it was our honeymoon, we chose to pay to dine on the jetty, which we could not recommend enough! It was an amazing, unforgettable experience and the food was lovely! Thank you so much to Yasine, our waiter, who was so attentive and brilliant throughout the evening! : —) The hotel offers lots of free daily activities. We enjoyed going on the glass bottom boat trip and going snorkelling, which we loved!

The beach is tiny and the water is brown because of the Lemon river right next door.
We are far from the great Turquoise beach of Mauritius…

Relaxed and friendly resort. Very kid friendly. We were glad to book in the adults only area as on our babymoon! Enough variety for us for a 5 day stay but perhaps not a whole week. Enjoyed doing a day tour to explore Mauritius in the middle of our stay.

Previously known as La Plantation, a week long stay at The Ravenala Attitude was indeed a great experience. The place is beautifully built and very spacious, with various kinds of dining areas. There are almost all kinds of cuisines one can think of. The staff is very courteous and they guide their guests in a friendly manner. We were delighted to find a chef from Uttarakhand who made us feel at home. The lounge, the pool, the private beach with water sports and much more, are apt for one to get away from the noisy world and lose oneself in the tranquility. The rooms/suites are equally well designed for couples to have a perfect honeymoon experience.

In the middle of Nowhere City has 25 kms very expensive to be discountry C is the top.

Hotel is good but needs repairings. Such as the rooms… some amenities specially bathroom need to be repaired and well maintained, balcony too, must take care of pigeons. Must take care of wasps… beach is good. And staffs are not professional, specially in housekeeping. Speaking loudly as if they are at home even supervisors are not well mannered. Taking into consideration of all these will make the hotel perfect just like in other countries.

Nice hotel great pool, good restaurant, Nice beach, very friendly staff, is well placed between the seaside resort of Grand Baie and Port Louis the capital.

Zero hospitality. No medical care available in case a guest falls ill. Still calls itself a 4-star property. Only good thing — The rooms and the Housekeeping.

Nice hotel. The restaurant staff is not quite listening. We go into the restaurant no one welcome us to install ourselves… we ask several servers… we are told to go and see another… very nice room. Don't look at the details. (bathtub with leaky knob).
… hairdresser to avoid… (A little too expensive) … lack of information about the activities but very nice atmosphere at night. Having done the zilwa attitude (same group) just before one can be disappointed of the benefits.

Damage.
The structure is great but the lack of staff and organization make the stay complicated. The rooms are not always well cleaned. Drinks and food ordered from different bars and restaurants take too long to arrive, when they arrive which is not always the case.
It's unfortunate.

It's just Good (super service)

It was a beautiful resort. They had sooo much to offer the guests. And the service was amazing. We had an issue with the bathroom and they immediately changed the room. Extremely cordial staff. Always smiling and there to guide and assist you. If ever I visit Mauritius again. Ravenala is my go-to resort! Keep up the amazing work! :)

Excellent hotel. Nothing to say about almost all the points. One small note: parking too small. When renting a car it is difficult to find places when the hotel is organising events. Otherwise it's the best!

A wonderful resort to stay in. It's has all kind of luxury. A definite recommended resort for honeymoon couples. The resort also offers many water activities. The only draw back is the resort doesn't have sea view for most of the rooms. But other wise lush green resort.

Good for big groups or a family. Loads of activities to do from sailing to spa treatments as well as having plenty to do such as tennis volley ball badminton and giant chess. 3 big pools of varying depths and a safe swimming area in the sea. Food was alright with really good dishes on occasion but they make it sound amazing in the menu descriptions when it's very average food.

I stayed at the RAVENALA ATTITUDE from 6 to 17/12/2017 and I keep an unforgettable memory. This resort is beautiful and very well maintained. It offers a variety of themed restaurants with a variety of dishes offered and very well prepared. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The beach unlike some published is very well and super well arranged. In the evening it offers a spectacle of a splendid sunset the staff is particularly attentive and very friendly. Especially RAM, at the restaurant barbecue, RAVI and Yassin serving guests on the beach as well as BALRAM and the MAJOR of the Mauritian restaurant. All in small care for the guests and an absolute kindness. I also had the opportunity to know AMJAD, from the sports village who dedicated himself to giving me valuable advice to accompany me and to correct me during daily fitness sessions, a true dedication in the exercise of his job as a coach Sports. They were all a real beautiful meeting which, beyond the quality of this hotel has further embellished our stay. I would particularly like to thank them all sincerely.

Stay here in nov 2017 an amazing hotel, stay very friendly and helpful. Room are big and comfortable. Food is good, amazing curry great chances of different styles. Massive pools x 3 including a big one for the kids. Beach is beauitful. Good choice of drinks and cocktail especially rum. If there was an issue it was deal with immediately. Would definitely like to come back.

Lovely hotel. For once the rooms actually look like the pictures you see in the brochure. The food in the buffet was great, so much so that we declined the individual restaurant bookings (all included) just to eat in there again. I would recommend going all inclusive as we were half board and had to pay over the odds for simple things like water. The beach isn't as idyllic as you might expect, but the hotel really does make up for this. You won't be disappointed.

Located at the end of the world. No infrastructure. All very expensive. But very good hotel.

Beautiful, but some flats on service in restaurant and maintenance pool…

The Ravenala Attitude was already great! The service (whether for the room or restaurant) was extremely friendly and elaborate! One felt well protected all round! The pool facilities were always clean and tidy. You couldn't complain about the food either. The buffet on the beach was particularly impressive. The service really tried to design the food as an experience. What wasn't so great was that you could swim badly in the sea. The water was too shallow on the beach. It is impossible to recommend!

Stayed here for our honeymoon, beautiful resort, just that as a couple we're not beach lounging, resort people! Sometimes vegetarianism was an issue and sometimes it was well catered for, depending on the staff. Don't think we're the target clientele.

A real excellent hotel wit lot of amenities inside the hotel. Very calm place and meters away to the beach and great buffet options. Would love to visit this place again.

Really enjoyed my stay. It's refreshing. Relaxing atmosphere. The food experience is nice. You can certainly get all your food choices. Live band… waaaal very nice and entertaining. All mixed music African, International ; dancing was good too. Sports village. Make you feel the best in your body. It's amazing. Will certainly come back given the opportunity and I truly recommend The Ravenala Attitude Hotel.

Loads of activities for couples and families. Friendly staff who are very accommodating. Different restaurants with dishes from around the world. Awesome after dinner entertainment. Closely located to Grand Baie and Port Louis. Water sports were fantastic. Drivers contracted to the hotel were very helpful and accommodating.

This place is approximately 45 mins away from the airport, apart from that there are no other drawbacks though if you are visiting try to opt for a full board package rather than half board (only breakfast and dinner). Also, the rooms don't have any cupboard or storage spaces for clothes so you would have to live out of your suitcase.

Despite very common supplement all inclusive.
Minibar is only very slowly being populated.
Specialty restaurants with medium quality.
Management seems not to notice.
For me maximum 3.5 star.

Very nice hotel; the friendly staff and attentive listening. Wonderful room facing the sea with a view and a sunset to breathtaking every night. The varied restaurants of good… Only problem: sea urchins stings which I fees and not me unfortunately… To anticipate those sores that spoil the stay provide plastic shoes below and above… Apart from that various activities with monitors good spirit adorable a kindness that I have not met elsewhere.

I really loved it there was 3 big pool and the service of the bar was very good.

Room good, food ok, beach superb and well maintained, room service waited since morning but called at 1615 hrs when family was relaxing, awful. Apart that, I will surely come again.

Loved it very good resort they had a lovely beach front plus you can get a room faceing the sea or garden or river they have lovely pool great service clean room but a tiny problem horrible kids and teens club evrey they the children come to the beach with me.

The food was too spicy with no variety. The house keeping was lousy. I had to keep complaining to the front office desk for 3 days consecutively for soap and other toiletries to be brought to our room. Our travel agent had informed us that as part of the honeymoon package we'd be provided with certain amenities, none of which were provided. Their staff have poor comprehension of the english language and hence it's very frustrating conversing with them. The hotel is in dire need of renovation and their service is inconsistent. They would provide a bottle of water to the room intermittently. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mauritius.

I would like to have some information on the plantation hotel in Mauritius.
We buy a travel of 9 nights in this hotel at a very good price but we find that the opinions are mixed see not good at all.
Is it someone can give me a concrete opinion about the hotel and also, we don't see a lot about the beach, we would like to know why? is she beautiful? Rocky? own?

La Plantation is one of the most beautifull hotels I stayed in. But the Owners and Management and staff have no clue how to run a hotel. Besides the beauty, the band that played was the only other thing I liked. From check-in I have only had a bad experience. This is my 9th time to Mauritius and I cannot believe the level of customer service delivered here. These are my complaints. They did not renew their contract with the tour operator I booked with (the 2nd biggest in the world) which left me knot knowing if I had a place to stay for 2 hours, the hot water takes 15 mins to come on. Literally, no one answers the phone at the reception or guest services or management ever, no bottled water in mini bar, the food is shockingly bad. The mini bar replenishment staff knocked at my door till I opened it (I had to get out of the shower) no parking for my rental car, too little staff to cope with amount of guests. The only way I will ever stay here again if they offered me a week free full board as a mystery guest to highlight and advise them on how to get it rite.

Its nice. But services not good when it was for appavoo it was really very good. Room is not being clean on time. Insects in room.

Beautiful unforgetful experience shared there with my then new wife. They even provided us with a romantic beach front candle lit dinner when they discoveresd it was our honeymoon. Great facilities and wonderful activities to partake in. Think about car hire rather than calling for a taxi. Definitely recommended.

I stayed for one night here and the servic was excellent have no complaints the food and staff at bar plus the nightclub was excellent no one let me down had a wonderful time.
