Worst Worst hotel I've been to. Very Disappointed. When they see A Mauritian check in, they give you the Worst Room and Service. Not recommended at all!

Lovely property, very good food and drinks! Clean and friendly atmosphere.

Aqualand is quite small n lack activities. Buffet was not nice. Adults food n kids food were the same. Cannot even do a guided tour in the hotel if we take aqualand package.

Extremely disappointing stay. It was such a beautiful hotel but our enjoyment was diminished from the moment we walked in.
Considering we paid 9, 500R for one night all inclusive I expected a lot more. Reception staff were absolutely appalling. No welcoming, no social distancing, wearing masks under their noses. No information provided about the hotel and our stay and not once asked for our proof of COVID vaccination or recent PCR! It was very hot we had two restless, upset kids and we were made to wait 2 AND A HALF HOURS to be checked in. Not to mention we were greeted with a demand for more money! 3, 000R for the evening meal! We were shocked as we had no idea there was a special gala meal on this day upon booking online. The reception staff were nice on approach and polite and reassuring that they will help you, but that was all a front and lie. We were made to feel we had no choice but to either leave or pay the extra money. Bare in mind we explained to the front desk we was eating out that evening as our family live nearby, but they still demanded the cost of the meal we wasn’t attending. Once we finally reached our room at 6pm having checked in at 3pm. The room looked nothing like the pictures. It looked unclean and dusty, there was no itinerary or information, no contact numbers or room service available. The shower was really nice but it flooded up to your ankles. Our bath didn’t have running water.

Very nice family hotel. Entertainment was very good. Staff always very helpful. Highly recommend for kids. Lots of activities.

Only the Restaurant team. Including the Bar, are great. Especially Jameeta and Mr Ausgur and all other waiters, head waiters are excellent, they look after the clients well. These people really work hard. The worst people in the hotel are the Receptionist Ms Pooja and hotel manager Kunal. There are so many talented people looking for job, these people should be replaced. If they don't like Mauritians, why there is a deal for Mauritians during the pandemic coronavirus? Ms Pooja should be replaced. She has absolutely no communication skill, lack of customer are skills, act UNPROFESSIONALLY, well the list is too long.
if the management team and receptionists are so annoyed with the clients. The best solution is to kick them out of the job. music and bar ends at 11pm. So don't get into the trap that the entertainment lasts till 1am. All lies!

The service was very good the staff was very helpful good service vry amazing. The drinks and cocktail was very good all the bar staffs have served us well. The food was good also we have had many variety of food and was yummy. Despite of the bad reviews I don't share the same opinion because the room service was very good… Our personal stuffs etc was in a mess and all our belongings were well placed and nothing have been stolen and there wasn't fan in the room there was aircon and it did work well and the tap work too. All staffs were well mannered, helpful, friendly and well dressed there was no misunderstanding between staffs and clients. We really enjoy our stay there and we will be back soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Worst hotel experience ever. Management level is terrible. This hotel doesn’t deserve a 1 star. Spoke to person in charged and he said that my complain doesn’t mean anything VS 400 clients staying at the hotel.
Filthy dinning area, no customer service. Staff doesn’t even understand the word “ goûter “. Very low standard.
Old furniture, no air conditioning at the dinning area.
Disgusting food, I ordered a Pina Colada and tasted like a sweet cream water.
Afternoon tea consisted of disgusting orange cake muffin with horrible waffles. Coffee machine doesn’t work and NO PASTRIES.

My sister recently stayed at this hotel for her honeymoon. While there her and her husband befriended a couple of dogs on the beach. One of the dogs was pregnant. My sister did everything she could to make sure that the dogs were looked after once they had left. Since they have left they have found out that the pregnant one has her puppies. All good. Until she also found out that the hotel paid to have a company remove them from the area. Potentially into unsafe hands where they could be killed. If you love animals you should give this hotel a miss. Scum!

I booked for a single room, surprisingly got updated to a suite with wonderful jacuzzi and nice view to the pool.
food — good and as me and ma family were on an all inclusive basis we tasted quit all the coctails and thanks to Vidassen — who made special cocktails for us.

Great hotel with friendly staff. A normal and a warm pool for the winters. The room is spacious with all amenities and beautiful view. An array of food choices though vegetarian options for dessert is limited.

One of the best hotels what you can visit. Absolutely beautiful beach with crystal clear water, lots of water sports (paddle boards, kayaks, pedal boat etc. ). Room are also really nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and food was delicious! Definitely will come back soon.

The security officer _ s… jit was really rude and unprofessional to my girlfriend and myself. We lost so much stuff from our room veranda. One of them was our bikinis… n when we reported this to him. He treated us liars. Instead of investigating. Even some of the staff there told us tht he is a pervert. He treat us like shit infront of his lady manager. But the manager only said him to stop. He is so savage that he continues to insult us. We lost our time, money by booking this hotel. I think he just dont care. Bcz the business is not his. My girlfriend is not a mauritian. It was her day over here. N she went back to her country with this bad experience. (a sick staff who dont have the skill for his work) But indeed there was also other staff who were good.

Decent resort with good rooms. Hospitality is pretty ok! They don't have much of sea view rooms and also very less water activities. Everything needs a booking in prior when it comes to restaurants and water activities at the resort. Beautiful beach!

The hôtel is nice. The food was OK. The beverages on All Inclusive packages are outstanding it has a huge selection which is amazing. Suki at the bar is outstanding, he contributed a lot in our stay to make it more surreal and amazing!

Super Hotel. 50 min. From the airport. We were warmly received. Since there are also German-speaking employees on site, there are also people who cannot speak English or French very easily in case of questions or problems. The rooms are very large and spacious furnished. The room was always clean. A safe is available and Wi-Fi is available in the GANZEN system. The beach is the most beautiful in all of Mauritius we had 8 days of a rental car and have visited almost every place. And nowhere is the sand so fine. I can only recommend the hotel to everyone. It was a great holiday and I would come here again. Now a few more pictures because they say more than any words.

The exotic location of the hotel and view from every room was very beautiful. The whole property is very well planned and maintained. Some Waiters at the dinning hall can sometimes be stubborn.

Hotel with chic, generously sized rooms and a paradisiacal beach. Unfortunately, however, with such a few stoves as constantly dirty towels when they are on the beach or worn cheap plastic cups in which the cut out water tasted of plastic after only a short time. In addition, many employees in the service often seemed unmotivated and inattentive. These things clouded the overall good overall impression.

I can definitely recommend this hotel for everyone. The sometimes bad reviews about this hotel are incomprehensible to me.
We have travelled as a young, demanding couple with a focus on a relaxing beach holiday and got our money's worth but also singles, families, or older ladies and gentlemen with a different focus are in the right place at this hotel.
The hotel is modern and elegantly furnished and is located directly on a white sandy beach, which I do not even start to rave about with numerous opportunities for relaxing or exercising in the hotel price.
The hotel itself also offers versatile and good entertainment for all ages.
The hotel rooms are remarkably large, and dignified and correspond to upscale European standards in cleanliness, processing and condition. Just like the rest of the hotel complexes, everything is very clean, well-groomed and lovingly designed.
This is primarily due to extremely friendly, multilingual, helpful and attentive staff.
The food is very varied and offers daily a good selection of well-known treats as well as the possibility to broaden their culinary horizons.
My conclusion: I can recommend this hotel to everyone without a guilty conscience and I definitely like to get back there.

Excellent ambience, extremely gorgeous decor, enviable location, very wide spread of food at breakfast, and dinner. The only minus point is it's at a boringly long distance from the airport.

Best Resorts to visit with family. We had spent two wonderful days there. All the staff gave us warm welcome specially Mr Prehlad Das, he treats us well. Hats off to him. We like the all the food, drink and cakes. The room was clean. The two pools were superb. I had already recommend some friends to go to Maritim Crystal Beach on their next vacation.

We had a wonderful time there and could not understand that there was grumbling around there. The accommodation was fantastic (superior room), it was always all very clean! … If you really had a smaller thing, it was done promptly. The food was good and everyone was fed up. The three dogs and a cat were delightful and not annoying. The other two restaurants absolutely recommended! The staff is very attentive and nice… Even with us there is Schnarchnasen to think about it… There was always enough towels and couches (despite German Handtuchreservierer! ) The food at the beach bar at noon is just delicious… and anyone who thinks you have to complain is supposed to stay at home and eat a kebab with fries white/red at Ali around the corner… only the weather would be worse then… (And before I forget, yes there are also Piepmätze the free takeoff and look forward to bread crumbs) … we definitely had a dream holiday… merci beaucoup…!

The hotel has a very good location and a nice beach. The rooms are very nicely decorated. The service especially at the bar and when eating is below average. 4 ☆ are too much.

Overall, you can say the hotel is just OK. Architecture and location are already outstanding. Great rooms, tasteful furnishings and 1a beach (really one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen). But: the service staff is 80% unwilling to make the guest happy. The manager spoke of a "leak of passion". Even after repeated complaints, it was only a short time better. It just sucks when so many things could be better. Why should water bottles be distributed between 13:00 and 15:00? From 13:00, the crates are so noisyly thrown in front of the doors that the rest (as the hotel management dictates) cannot be spoken at all. The staff roars over several floors. There's so much else that sucks. That's a pity. In the morning the coffee was often only after we had finished breakfast. Operation at the beach bar only worked when a hotel manager or Jerome were there. There are so many little things that spoil your holiday.

I enjoyed my holiday here with my family and would go there again at any time. The staff is very friendly and you almost always have a job. The animators provide a mood and the children can go to one of the "Children's clubs". The food (especially in the Asiarestaurant) tasted very good and I always found something in the Al you can eat buffet. The beach is fantastic and you can go to the sea for free with one of the rowing boats. There is also the possibility of "Standup paddling". The hotel also has a PADI diving center with good equipment. However, for courses for Germans a little difficult, as only English and French are spoken. The condition of the room was somewhat disappointing compared to the rest. The room with its balcony had a great view of the sea and there was no way to the pool, however the one faucet, the bathroom mirror lamp and a bedside lamp was broken. In addition, the hotel complex about 2days did not have hot water and the showers made it a pain. However, there were also a lot of companies outside the hotel, such as the Crocodile and Turtle Zoo, which has left a lasting impression with its giant turtles and the impressive Krokodilfüttering. In addition, you could also walk through a kind of jungle in the zoo and admire the complete splendor of the Mauritian plant world (also seen in the photos. ). Also Gris Gris is an impressive place. I have never stood there until now and only looked at the open sea (also attached photos).

This place is the most incompetent pathetic excuse for a hotel I’ve ever had the dishonor to spend a holiday. We had the most disgustingly unwarm welcoming with the most unfriendly woman working at reception. The staff are untrained and cannot mix a single drink the same way twice. They haven’t been to Hotel school and are a mere 18 years old — if that. The plates, mugs and saucers are all dirty and upon witnessing an attempt to clean a cup to make a cuppachino I was appalled to see that it was ‘cleaned’ merely with a spritz of soda water. The gym is rundown and unappealing and there are either no cups or no water available. We were promised a wake up call and breakfast the day we left and are yet to receive either. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 4 star resort and it’s no wonder all the staff walked out in September. This is not a place worth investing your hard-earned money in. Don’t think twice.

A beautiful beach a few meters from the hotel. The two pools of the hotel are quite quiet overall.
There is no war for the deckchairs!
The Kappa Club animators are great, they are discreet and not on excited like in some Club and that's a plus.
Regarding the children's Club the animators are very well the children have fun, taking care of the little rabbits present in the course of the Club.
The only small downside I have, the choice of the buffet is not wide enough and the quantities are fair.
However there are two themed restaurants: French gastronomy and Asian specialties and a Grill Bar
The images on the site are really in line with the proposed service.

A very deserving winner of the 2017 luxury hotel in the all inclusive category. The staff are very friendly, the food abundant, the drinks flowing, the room very large and with everything you could need.
Items in the mini bar is included in the price, the staff come up to you and personally invite you and remind you of upcoming events from kids parties to aqua gym. People are happy there, and ultimately, this is what holidays are about — people go to a place where they want to be happy and surrounded by happy people. This place is the place to go with family. You’ll enjoy it. I will definitely recommend it.

Just back from a week in Mauritius staying at the Maritim Crystals Beach hotel. The hotel is fantastic. We had a partial sea view room which was much bigger than we expected. Huge bed with a really good shower and bath. We were on the 2nd floor with a balcony which was private with a lovely view of the gardens and sea beyond. We had the basic all inclusive package which had a huge selection of cocktails included. The room had a mini bar in which beers and water were included and replaced daily. The food was really good always plenty to choose from. The staff were amazing very friendly. Finally the beach is stunning just paradise with plenty of watersports which are included in the all inclusive package. All in all we were very happy with the hotel and cannot fault it. I can definitely recommend it highly.

Arrived at the hotel and took forever to get checked in. Eventually got to our room and a light fitting fell from the ceiling. Maintenance eventually arrived and “fixed” the problem. The next day THE SAME light fitting fell this time it fell on my head. A member of the team apologised and assured me the issue would be rectified. The level of service from staff is hit or miss. Many of the staff are great but are let down by those that seem disinterested and not willing to help at all. The failed to replenish any of the drinks in our room even after multiple phone calls and conversations with staff. Staff constantly got our orders wrong or fail to serve the food at all. Resturant booking is a real pain as I’m sure the hotel prefer customers to use the self serve buffet. Overall, displeased with this hotel and we are only halfway through our holiday. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

From professional greetings I often have to stay in hotels and this not only in Germany — the Maritim Crystals Beach is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The beach and service are good to very good, but the drinks are stretched and the food partly tasteless. Although the hotel is only 5 years old, the rooms are still alive. As a icing on the cake, the cleanliness unfortunately leaves absolutely to be desired.

I had been to Crystal Beach Resort for my honeymoon. I am in love with this place. Our room was amazingly huge with a beach view. The entire property is very spacious and classy. Breakfast & dinner was awesome. The variety & quality of the buffet is truly value for money. Loved the desserts! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We did not miss our long walks throughout the property enjoying the lovely ambiance. The beach is just around the corner and a lovely place for an evening stroll. We also opted for a couple spa massage and it was amazing. Group events every night were so much fun. It’s a great place for couples & family. We enjoyed our stay and we look forward to be back soon. Might be a bit expensive but highly recommended!

Pres-performance ratio not true at all: eat on Kantinennevau, All inclusive is a Fake: included 3 wines unfit for human consumption; The coffee unfit for human consumption; Everything is much too expensive! Beach is mediocre. Directly next to the Hotel there is a public picnic area that is used daily by the Locals, the celebrations sometimes until late into the night. Depending on the weather conditions of the beach mass with algae is littered! Then, an excavator will be driving the whole day on the beach — noise + Gestang! Weather could have been better: Longer periods of rain, strong Wind, then the part in the shade quite cool. Overall, for the 2 weeks is much too expensive for what you get. That's what you get elsewhere in the world in a beautiful 5 star Hotel and better weather and nicer beaches even more of a bargain! In our opinion, is the best time in Mauritius is over, it is the ASI-TOURISM spreads here, too, the power of any and all claims and quality to nothing. What annoys especially by the beach-dealer, the sun a hundred Times a day are run over and you constantly appeal to. I would have wanted on the market, then I would be driven there. That was very annoying! Our conclusion : once and never again!

August 2016 Requested to have 2 rooms next to each other which was not the case. We had to wait 2 and a half hours to get the other room. Dinner & lunch service: staffs have a preference for European guests only (we are Mauritians)! Lunch: As it was my mum"s birthday, a cake was to be served but I had to mention 3 times which took 25 minutes to come though it was mentioned while doing the booking. Food was not bad Breakfast: we were WOWed… excellent service.

Our room was very spacious, modern, clean, and our special wish also with sea views. Only the TV did not work properly right away, somehow the channels were not being displayed. We then stopped by at the front desk and described our little problem. They told us that immediately a technician that is worrying and we were still not back in our room, the problem was fixed. We were greeted by a perfectly functioning television as we were returning. Wi-Fi is available officially only in restaurants, at the pool, the lobby and in the rooms – in our case, we had Internet but in fact anywhere on the premises. Unfortunately the speed varied between quite okay and super slow motion, there's still some potential for improvement, but not end of the world.
The staff is very, very friendly and obliging, but never annoying. They may have always wondered, how it comes to us, as was our day, whether we feel good, what they bring us us (food/drink) and what they can do otherwise for our well-being. Noteworthy: the simple waiter to the front Office Manager provided these questions and no one was too bad (equal to what position he or she holds) to help us or bring us something. One night there was a dance performance and we were too late and got no seats as a result. It passed not even a minute, because unsolicited two chairs brought us one of the waiters asked us to take place. This is just a little anecdote, but exemplary for the excellent staff.

Superb hotel almost nine (3 years and a half in 2016), staff really friendly.
We will no doubt return.

Just got back home to South Africa from an awesome holiday at maritime Crystal beach Hotel, all I can say from the time we arrived on the 03 May 2015 to depart 10 May 2015, the service on this HOTEL was to the T excellent. We the Pillay couple our anniversary was on the 6th May 2015 and they planned a awesome breath taking surprised dinner for us, STAFF I mean all staff that worked this week even up to the cleaners, cooks, waiters, bar man, all I can say 100% BRILLANT service, PLEASE DO PRAISE YOUR STAFF PERSONALLY ON THIS IN YOUR MEETINGS, I WOULD recommend this 4 star hotel to any one. I just want to take this time to THANK all the staff that worked on that week, they just amazing humble people, the entertainment wow amazing, I will rate this HOTEL 10/10.

The home was not famous. We felt not taken into account at the reception and we have to wait 30 min following a bad organization at the level of the reservation.
For water sports it has the push us even the kayak double in the water. No employees to help us.
There is the pool and tea time that we really appreciate.

Disappointing! No water skiing as advertised on website. Boat-house and water activities are poor with unfriendly boat-house manager who seems reluctant to allow any activities with the slightest of wind (which is almost always there). There are definitely better value-for-money to be found in Mauritius.
