Very happy with the hotel. Great location: Most rooms with sea view, large square with small park/garden, bus stop just outside the door, otherwise 12 minutes walk to Bus station, 5 min. For shopping (supermarkets), Souvernirgeschäfte and tour operator even closer. Spa/indoor pool/swimming pool across the hall. Spacious interior, nice lobby, some brochures/local info, two elevators, additional bright, friendly staircase. Overall very clean and tidy. The room (in our case an apartment/family room/apartment with bathroom, kitchen, dining-/Wohnzimmer, 2 bedrooms and balcony) was generously cut and nicely decorated. Also very clean and tidy. Kitchen with stove/oven, fridge, sink, toaster, kettle and sufficient cook — and dinnerware, so you can really cook. Bathroom functional and perfectly fine. Good, though quite fixed beds, plenty of pillows and blankets. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the front desk always busy and responsive, weather report always up to date, all questions about the surroundings, bus connections, equipment etc. Always competently answered. The front desk lends itself to a small deposit adapter (for the local sockets according to British format). Even microwave could be borrowed. The key can be delivered or taken during the day. Room service effective and unobtrusive. At our time of the season (February) the hotel was not busy, therefore mostly quiet. All in all, very pleasant hotel.
To completeness also the disadvantages: the living room was quite dark, as daylight only came into the other rooms and via a small kitchen window on an inner shaft. But no real problem. At full load at peak time, it could be louder, because, for example, light-hearing walls (a common problem in hotels). The rooms on the street are probably generally quite restless as it is a busy road.
For us in any case, everything was excellent. And the fact that Bugibba/Qawra is quite central to Malta and that excursions are offered in almost every direction is another plus.
