We really enjoyed our stay at the db San Antonio hotel and spa. It was a fun packed weekend filled with food, sun and fun! The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. We will be back for sure.

After having to change our hotel a few weeks we moved to San Antonio. The hotel is lovely and clean staff are very friendly and the food was very good choice and well prepared. Rooms were cleaned daily. Would definitely recommend.

Spotlessly clean hotel, decent food and drinks. 4 themed restaurants as well as main restaurant, all inclusive gives you the chance to visit all at least once. Lovely views. Outstanding effort made by the staff to make you feel welcome. Special mention for the staff in the Taza roof bar by the infinity pool on the tenth floor. Their dedication and friendliness second to none. Great roof top 'white' party on a Friday night… these guys skills making cocktails put Tom Cruise to shame! Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing hotel staff are all so happy & helpful nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are beautiful & clean. The views are lovely. If you get the chance to go to the spa definitely have a massage there out of this world.

We had. A wonderful stay here last week. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms large and spotlessly clean. The buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner had lots of choice and the food was of a high quality. The cafe was great, coffee and cake €4 and delicious. We had a very early departure and there was a room for having breakfast, though on a smaller scale than the buffet. I can highly recommend the dB San Antonio for your holiday in Buggiba, it's central location on Tourist Street means it's a short stroll to the promenade in Qawra or Buggiba Square.

Third visit to this beautiful hotel! Love it so much we chose to get married here two years ago! Wonderful hotel, helpful staff, fantastic facilities. Short stroll to Malta Aquarium. Few mins walk into Bugibba centre. So many beautiful trips to do as well. We’ll def keep coming back!

Great hotel, amazing choice of food and drinks. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Check in was quick and easy. No problems accessing sun beds or having to wait in a queue for drinks. Super value for money overall, we will be back!

We stayed here back in February all inclusive. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, our children enjoyed the indoor pool. The food was great, my partner had his birthday here were they sang and brought a cake out to him. The only down fall was that the outdoor pools was closed. Due to maintenance. Totally recommend we will be back next feb and so will our mum with her other children!

The best experience we have ever had. From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful. We arrived after the restaurants closed but were immediately offered sandwiche's, juice and cakes. Our room was spotless and was clean to the same standard every day. The food was heaven. Meat was always well cooked, never dry and always available no matter what time you attended. And the entertainment! Only two nights when there was not a show and on these nights was karaoke or a quiz. On all other nights an hour long production of singing, dancing and acrobatics to a high standard was put on. We were never presurised to get involved but alway greater and spoken to by the main entertainment members. From start to finisha great experience and will definitely use the hotel again.

One of the very best all inclusive hotels, great food in the main dining room and an even greater range of excellent specialty restaurants available as part of the all inclusive package, great average marks both on Facebook and trip advisor don’t come easy, so book your holiday here you won’t be disappointed.

Shame the support companies they use for transfers and trips were so abrupt, having said that the private taxi transfer driver upon arrival was excellent the return trip to airport was horrific and abrupt. A great hotel for families wonderful pool area there is an adult only area with pool on the rooftop. The staff very pleasant and helpful there was entertainment every day for the children and at night for everyone. Although I was not there with children myself I can see how families would like it. The rooms very clean and comfortable serviced every day as you would expect, food something for everyone I shall be returning to this hotel.

The hotel corresponds to the star. There's no beach. The entrance to the sea is very rocky, not even pebbles, and water-filled sharp stones. Jellyfish bite.

Fabulous hotel in a great location. The staff were extremely helpful, they even gave me a bowl of rice when my son’s phone got wet in the pool! The rooftop infinity pool was amazing. The Sky Bar was great with fabulous views. We ate in the Chinese restaurant on the top floor, it was the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Im quite fussy with food but there was always plenty of choice. The only disappointing thing was even though we tried to book the Bistro restaurant when we arrived it was fully booked all week. Cant wait to go back to this great hotel.

What an amazing stay we had here! From the beautiful spotlessly clean room that was serviced daily to the wonderful restaurants with the best food I've had in the many all inclusive resorts I've stayed at. Staff could not have been more helpful, can't think of anything that was too much trouble. Pool was fab, and the kids section was super. Both adults and kids were thrilled. The amount of couples and families that we met who were there on their second, third, fourth visit is testament to such a great job you guys are doing. Thanks for a great holiday Oh, I nearly forgot the entertainment! My boys are still talking about the evening shows! We were all mesmerized by the acrobatics, dancing and the fire!

This was my 3rd holiday to db San Antonio and it never disappoints. We’ve not taken advantage of the evening entertainment on previous visits as my granddaughter was too young. This time she went to the kids disco and we stayed on for the “grown up” entertainment which followed. I must say of all the hotels I’ve visited this entertainment was by far the best. Singers had wonderful voices, dancers were all in step all the time, and the acrobats were great. The meals if anything have improved since our first visit, but we’ve never had a bad meal; got to try fish I’d never even heard of before. The staff are wonderful and can’t do enough for you. The waiters and waitresses provide an excellent service and even remember you from previous years, which is a novelty in itself. Can’t wait to go back next year. Thanks everyone for a wonderful stay.

The hotel is good! There are of course minor drawbacks (no ventilation in the bathroom, dirty sunbeds on the beach) but it's nothing. Good location. Good restaurants! Price of two sunbeds on the beach with an umbrella 6 euros
Tip: be sure to take an additional adapter to the Euro socket. There's only one euro socket in the room. And be sure to take rubber slippers for swimming in the sea. The beach is rocky and very sharp!

A good hotel in Italy would not have 4 stars L. On the other hand clean rooms good kitchen equipped with swimming pool and a small SPA. Friendly staff. Not bad.

Family Week hotel of very large capacity but very well kept (inaugurated in 2015), the rooms are spacious enough and well soundproof (but double curtains let cheerful pass the light), varied restoration but resto ppal very Noisy. I recommend the restaurant to the map bcp quieter * 2 included in the formula for stay of more than 5 days.

Very nice hotel, excellent staff, every amenity and facility you could want for. We stayed in May, which is low season, so not all the restaurants and bars were open, but also meant there was more room around the pools. There is live entertainment every night, of an exceptional standard. Highly recommended.

One of the best hotels I've been lucky to stay in. The room was massive luxurious comfy and very clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The meals are second to none with loads of variety. Entertainment is professional (not staff putting on a show) we had brass band playing in reception so not your ordinary run of the mill. This has been my second stay here and it just gets better.

Very mixed opinion about this hotel, coming mainly from the difference between its promotion on its website and the reality. Finishing of the rooms very sketchy, cafeteria atmosphere in catering even if it is necessary to recognise the quality of the main dishes (the others being very Anglo-Saxon). The indoor pool area is only there to troubleshoot punctually. The rest of the staff were very nice. Suitable for a holiday of retirees (many at my pass) and families. Attention, many of the rooms have single beds (not terrible if in couple).

A hotel you can stay in and not need to go out of. Has everything you need for a quiet time or if you need some entrainment. Good food, lots of variety. My favourite time to go is always out of season then the place is practically empty and quiet but still plenty of people to chat with if you feel the need. Off season the residents are mostly over 40, very few children, that's how I prefer it. If you want extra quiet get a room facing the outside not over the pools. Its a C shaped building, inside the C sound echoes. This is probably one of the best hotels in town.

We spend great 3 days in this hotel. The rooms are big, new, clean and nice. The staff in reception were ok, the bar attenders were great and the pool is really cool. Although the all inclusive is really good, we would have liked more options of food for late arrivals as after 20:45 you can not have dinner or a snack (only cakes). I would have wished that in the cafe were more options of snacks, all day long.

Very nice hotel, very recent (inauguration in 2015. ) A lot of misways a little bit everywhere. When we arrived, the lead in our room jumped. After going to the reception to report to them, after 2h still nothing… Finally insisting a second time the necessary has been done.
The pool is very pretty from the bottom and the one for children is superb (watch out for the water seal. I will say no more. In this season, it lacks additional degrees. Children are frozen when they come out of the water with the wind. The children's pool is located in height so. To the Wind!
The roof was… Closed.
We used the kids club, excellent. Our daughter had fun there. The team does everything to adapt to the children.
The restaurants… Well… The black dot is here. End of April: No access to the 10th floor so no access to a few bars of the roof, nor to some restaurants with specialities.
When you arrive, take the time to book the special restaurants to make sure you have a place.
The Gueliz is the main restaurant (breakfast, Dej, snack and dinner). It is a huge canteen with dishes for some nice and others to flee. The desserts are very chemical even though appetizing.
The rooms were clean and made every day. Bravo to the cleaning team.
The rooms actually look like nice little apartments (kitchenette, extra bed, ironing board, double balcony…)

Very nice hotel, interesting animations, good quality European meals, nice modern rooms, nice staff. Very well, maybe lacks a few degrees for the pool water as well as access to the rooftop terrace and pool.

Not a lot to do for kids in April. Indoor pool is small and cold. Out door pool too cold to play in in April. Only have one table tennis outside the kids club. The "Game room" always closed, so not seen what it has inside. 4:30pm entertainment cancelled 4 times out of 7 days. Evening entertainment is great. Restaurant food is great. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are big.

For people who want to look at Malta highly recommended. We were here as a group and were very satisfied. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good.

Mass handling at dinner comes like a dining room from the university. Very nice room. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staying here from 12 to 19 March. It's mid season not at all crowded and the high temp is around 19c. The bed is king size and comfortable and I'm very critical about hotel beds. There's a huge variety of food for all tastes including veggies. There's nightly entertainment in my opinion not as good as you get on a cruise. Overall the hotel cannot have a bad word said even if a TV doesn't work correctly at first it soon put right. Hotel has all the usual amenities you expect for 5 starts. Take your restaurant required wrist band off before you go outside it reduces the number of time share sales intrusions. There is usually something going on somewhere. Everywhere is easy to get to on a bus, ticket cost €1.5 and lasts a journey or 2 hours whichever ends last. Good restaurants cost a bit more than the UK the quality is better and portions are very generous. Bus station is about 5 minutes stroll from hotel. The hotel and the island in low season is probably the best time if you don't want scorching heat and crowds there is still enough sun for a tan and very few children making a racket. The hotel is U shaped if you have a room facing inside it can be very noisy. Is quiet with the door shut. The picture is a view of Valletta.

Unfortunately in time there was a worsening of both the buffet and the service in general more than 3 stars I would say 2 and a half. The price OK but the Spica and service…

Very good for country-standard conditions. Spacious room and bathroom. Sea view recommended. Very good buffet. Friendly staff. Very positive is also the proximity to the bus station: since terminus you can still get a seat on the bus, but please as the English form a snake. Very good spa.
You can alternatively (reservation required) in a cozy Moroccan/Indian restaurant Tagine for dinner.
Shortcoming: The tables are tight in the dining room.
Shortcoming, but better than usual: small indoor pool, sauna without relaxation room.
In the low season (October-May) the rooftop pool and the rooftop bar are closed, as well as the Qzins restaurant.

Very good hotel in the month of March All inclusive really interesting pity that it misses the Chinese restaurant and Japanese staff at the top, several nationalities so one is not lost room style mini studio at the top, always clean and bedding niquel often from Wind on the balcony in this period for a week €330/pers (Expedia) you couldn't dream better.

Just had a 4 day break here with my wife and 2 friends. A immaculately clean hotel staff very friendly, facilities brilliant, room was lovely very comfy bed and very nice decor. Food was very nice we were all inclusive and on 2 nights we were able to visit an Indian restaurant and an Italian which was great, unfortunately the Chinese restaurant was closed this time of year. The entertainment is absolutely brilliant one of the guys James zo msakni was absolutely brilliant nothing was ever too much trouble, he was extremely helpful even when he wasn't on duty — he is a real credit to the Hotel. The down side to this break was every morning at 6 am my wife and I was woken by drilling and workman that apparently were redecorating rooms near ours. And the room above all you could hear was chairs being moved across the floor which after a while does become annoying. However I'm very happy with everything else and would highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic. I go every year with my family because it is so amazing. The buffet breakfast is something I love the most. No matter how many times I have their buffet I enjoy their food even more. Everyday seems to improve at San Antonio. The room conditions are also wonderful. The cleaners are consistent and always greet others with a lovely smile. The overall atmosphere is very cheerful and can draw anyone out of a bad mood. Although the outdoor swimming pool can get quite crowded at times, the bars are very lovely with the perfect service. Something very spectacular about San Antonio is their entertainment. There is a large degree of effort put into the entertainment which is splendid for the family. There are also frequent surveys as the staff like to know the feedback from customers.

Visited the spa yesterday. Disappointed. Only 3 spa rooms (2 of them are the same type) being open when it comes to the spa in general as well as some other 2 rooms which include a 'private' bath and some kind of a mud room which needs to be paid for extra! Indoor pool was filled with shouting kids and the jacuzzi was all smudgey and dirty, even heard others complain about it. No bathrobes/ spa slippers were given to us. Even though on their spa website there is included that these will be given. When I asked for them they told me that those are given to hotel residents only! Massage was alright when it came to the actual massage. But there were drilling sounds all over the place due to some maintenance which was not acceptable! not even some kind of background relaxing music to oppose the drilling sounds! I liked the lunch buffet. As for the spa, I do not recommend.

This hotel is at a very good central location. We were there for a week, end of December beginning of January 2017-2018. It was a lot busier than we expected. We loved the entertainment every night. The food was good, staff are very friendly. The New year eve was special. Our room had a sea view and was kept very clean. It was big enough but the kids beds were not very comfortable The spa area needs improvements. It was a nice experience and if I ever go back to Malta definitely use the hotel again.

Very busy hotel. Was on all inclusive. Make you pay 25 euros for a plastic band at check in. Inexperienced staff at check in. When we went for dinner at 9.05pm we were told by the restaurant manager that you have to hurry and that we are lucky that he is accepting us since they will soon clear the food. Decent salads, horrible pasta, oily mains. All hot food tasted of cooking oil Room was decent with a nice view. Hotel for the masses. And you feel like a number.

Who is giving this hotel good reviews? It's poor! The restaurant is a one time only experience. If your looking for queues, incredible noise and a total cattle market, then it's for you! Give me Butlins any time. Turned up at the reception (all inclusive prepaid). I was informed I needed to pay 4.50 Euros tax. I didn't have any Euros as I've been to Malta several times previously and know exactly where to get the best exchange rates. I was informed by the receptionist that I had to pay cash in Euros and would need to use the ATM across the road. Getting a simple 50 Euros from the machine cost me £4 with the exchange rate! Queues for reception, queues for food and queues for the lifts. I've only been here a couple of hours and already cheesed off. The room is 2 to 3 star quality at best. Mini Bar has nothing in it! Let's watch something on TV then? Or may be not, with only the BBC World News channel. You know something is not quite what you had expected, when the taxi driver drops you off you see the sheer volume of people coming and going around the reception area. It's not a quality hotel, it's not exclusive, if this is what you are after, please stay somewhere else. I wish I had : (

Food and service are OK. After the renovation, both the dining room and the bar are a better station — waiting hall. The evening "show" is a bad amplification system to the grey. The Couches at the new designed pool are close to close. The sauna has not been restored for 10 years and is a catastrophe. The dining room has the flair of a Bundeswehr canteen. Picking up for dinner is a umzuschmeissen of skill, so as not to make the next table. In short: After the conversion a hotel for mass handling.

Very clean rooms and nice staff. The view from the rooms with a view of the lake is unfortunately very unpleasant… (Job sites) General no very nice view. Buffet always plentiful and fresh. Service always attentive. In case of an emergency in the hotel it took a long time before a doctor was there which I find a great pity in such a large hotel should always be a doctor as far as possible in the suburb. Otherwise I can recommend the hotel with Spa only.

Excellent facilities, and mostly excellent staff, but the offered "free transfers" cost over 50 Euros, and the request for a room close to lift was ignored, so have had to pay to hire a mobility scooter. Avoid the tours salesperson in reception — you'll get better service and price from Richard on the corner (still part of the hotel) or Islander, opposite. May want to bring your own toilet roll and towels too.

They do not have air conditioning, even if they say yes, they will remember me when they sleep and at 3 am wake up, the Wi-Fi falls every two minutes and you hurry to finish eating because another group comes. And to top it off without TV cable.

Quite sad… in the building of 10 floors I do not from the feeling of seaside accommodation. Rooms dimly lit and shade for good part of the morning… it doesn't even seem to be on vacation.

Fantastic hotel, modern decor, some fantastic restaurants and great swimming pool, modern gym fully equipped. Top class spa treatments. Also now a adult only pool and bar area on the roof over looking the sea out to St Paul island, very nice cocktails, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable sofas. I have a place here in summer holidays every year that maybe available to rent.

Great hotel. Food excellent quality and 5 restaurants to chose from — just make sure you book them on arrival. Chill out area for adults only on roof terrace with swimming pool and bar. Entertainment in evenings not to everyone's taste but there's always the roof terrace.

Brilliant hotel more than your money's worth, spectacular entertainment, great for the kids, kind friendly staff who work round the clock constantly 5 star cleaning, food has no faults with multiple options in the buffet if not go in to one of the restaurants. My best part of the hotel is the roof top pool and 16+ roof top bar note the roof pool is adults only.

Staff to the small care. Spacious room comfortable bathroom. Restaurants of choice. Pools a bit noisy. Facing the sea… idyllic sunset.

Excellent food for All Inclusive. Staff friendly and hard working. Cleaners work constantly to maintain high standard of cleanliness. Any problems dealt with promptly. Location could be better as it's mostly residential and not the prettiest area but is definitely an ideal base for exploring Malta and Gozo.

Great hotel. The staff are very helpful! We used a lot of the rooftop pool which is great. I put "only" 4 because the food could have been much better.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious and equipped. Located in the centre, next to the shops, entertainment, public transport and the seaside, we had a pleasant stay.

Everything perfect food, room, entertainment, mini Club (great Vincenzo) except the beach where access in the water is very difficult.

During our stay in May, the air conditioning did not work in the rooms where the temperature averaged 28 degrees and this, according to the reception, to meet certain ecological standards of the hotel while in other places it works at Full performance.
The information received from the tour operator claim the opposite. Otherwise good hotel overall. Insufficient storage space in the rooms. The evening shows are of high quality.! Several projects outstanding. Noise nuisances from 7:30 am — 8:00 am.

Had a 10 day holiday in December, our first in Malta really enjoyed staying at the San Antonio. Excellent staff, food, lovely contemporary bedrooms. Felt very relaxed at this hotel so much so we, re booking again for March.

The food here is great. The rooms are comfortable the bathroom is also spacious but the shower area is tiny. The balcony view of the Mediterranean Sea is wonder. Ask for an ocean view and higher up to enjoy the best views.

Best all inclusive we've been to. I defy anyone not to find something on the menu to eat. I am on a restricted diet, yet have no problem. Our room is fabulous, 623 a huge family room with partial sea view, balcony and quiet location at the back of the hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff are thorough. All parts of the hotel, are maintained to a high standard. The free Wi-Fi is served by different routers, so signing in is done when at your location. Most smartphones will pick up the location automatically. It's fast too. I'm writing this from the room. The hotel is well situated near both the sea front and the bus station, giving easy access to the town and other parts of Malta. I recommend the €15 pre paid transport card, giving 12 trips for one (or 6 trips for two) which you can purchase from the bus station office. We will be back for sure!

Just returned from a family week at the db San Antonio Hotel and Spa. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The cleaning staff were really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the variety of food and the chance to dine in two of the other hotel restaurants. We definitely would come back for another visit.

The hotel and rooms are clean but the food and drinkservice must get much better for the hotel to be called a 4 star hotel … I've been all over the world so I think I can compare them to other 4 star hotel. The all-inn policy is confusing some labels on the shelf are free and others aren't. The service at the pool is poor, just one little window with one bartender who can't cope. The warm meals where much of the same thing all week long and a lot of recycles goods in the buffet. I know and understand that you can't throw everything away but more then half the buffet is recycled … A bit over the top. Ok so we go to the oriental restaurant for some sushi … Sushi and sashimi are FRESH produce not the dried out things I've seen here. Evening entertainment was also of a low standard … I guess they want us to go out for that (seen this strategy before in the Baltic states)

The hotel is top quality. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is hot, varied and a great standard. The rooms are huge, the beds comfortable and have heating or air con depending on your needs. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely visit it again.

Last Sunday my husband and I decided to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary by dining out at db San Antonio Hotel. We have been celebrating our Anniversaries, Birthdays and other occasions always at this particular hotel. Why? Well because the Dinner Buffets are always excellent and very delicious, while the whole Staff including the Hotel Restaurant Managers, Head Waiters, Waiters and of course all the Chefs with their staff, are always there to help you out, and answering all kinds of your questions. We have been dining OUT at this Hotel for many years now, and we hope to keep on coming to this Hotel, for everyone is so PROFESSIONAL, so nice and so friendly and the food is so. Um. So delicious!. We really recommend this Hotel and the Restaurant. Well done everybody. Keep it up.

Incomplete, noisy there is problems with plumbing the pool area on the roof is not finished its filthy and really shouldn't have been opened until it was completed. Every day guests are at reception complaining about a multitude of problems. Meall times is like school dinners, lots of quing and the food presentation is awefull. On the plus side the staff are trying their best in a bad situation.

Beware, this hotel is under renovation. And the work is far from finished! We were on the 5th floor, our room was being finished, but on Monday, when work resumed, the noise was unacceptable, and the hotel has finally agreed to relocate us.

Have been going to a weekend away in this hotel for a very long time and I have always had an excellent service and also good time.

We were by the 19th 08 29 08 in San Antonio, our driver said it is a good hotel, I can only say it is a very good hotel everything has changed. Allinkl. Supi food, huge selection of everything. Clean, friendly sweet girlies are we fast wind.
Huge, the animation girls by the pool, so Sweety the call will "auqagym" shouldn't soon forget Poolarea.
