Just arrived home from a wonderfull weekend break with my family at Ax The Victoria Hotel. Very well served at breakfast and lunch with great food and good english speaking waiters. The hotel is welcoming and calm. Easily accessable with a stroller and family friendly. The rooms were nice and clean on the 7th floor close to the pool and gym. We will definetly come again 😊

Fabulous hotel with most very friendliest staff.

Just stayed at the Victoria for a week, great hotel in good location. Staff are excellent, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the island and area. Roof top infinity pool is excellent and has amazing views of the city and sea. Even has seperate adults only area with it's own pool as well, plenty of shady spots at both pools if you need them. Breakfast was well stocked and had pretty much everything we wanted. Highly recommended, great place to stay.

Lovely stay at the Victoria. All the staff are very helpful and courteous. We used a transfer through hotel which worked well. Good selection at Breakfast. The roof top pool is just the place to be when it's so hot. The penny black bar is a bonus.

Excellent long weekend at the Victoria. Good location in Sliema, just 5 minutes walk from the boat to Valletta and restaurants. Great roof top pool with excellent views of Valletta helped by being at the top of a hill… so the 5 minute walk is uphill on the way back! Would recommend!

The hotel is located in the Sleem area, in a 19th century development. On the other side of the bay is Valetta. From the waterfront to the hotel 7-10 minutes walk.
170 euros per day for a 4star hotel (late July). The quality of services provided by 9.80 out of 10.
Thank you to the staff who were very responsive and attentive. We were changed to a regular room with a balcony room, which we were very happy about.
Separately, I would like to express my gratitude to the young man at the reception desk, who served in Russian language and more than once helped to solve some issues and problems.

The rooftop pool gives a stunning look over Malta/Sliema. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet offers everything you could wish for and is constantly replenished. There are many restaurants with a variety of food on site. The price-performance ratio is excellent. The corridors with carpet are somewhat musty. But the hotel is equipped with a great gym, where I could train well as a performance athlete in bodybuilding (squat rack, deadlift etc. )

Superb hotel which has a fully equipped gym two pools (one heated indoor and the other infinity pool on the roof) spa and plenty sun loungers — great bar and food not expensive either and all staff polite. Rooms where excellent and English TV channels too. Breakfast is full english — bonus. All in all excellent hotel and will definitely book again. Many thanks to all the staff.

I would certainly recommend this Hotel as a great place to stay. The staff were so nice and Martin in the Penny Black Bar made are stay so much fun. He was such a good barman. The roof top pool was beautiful and the food in the restaurany was really good.

Fantastic hotel with great rooms, top facilities and friendly staff. We got married in Malta and stayed for two weeks. They went out of their way to help us… rose petals on the bed, a bottle of bubbly and they let us use the venue next door for photos. Would highly recommend!

The hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff so helpful throughout our stay, Martin in the Penny Black Bar was the best, so professional and he enhanced our enjoyment every evening, and Ahmed did a good job as his assistant, will definitely come back to the Victoria.

I wish to thank the management and staff at The Victoria Hotel as I recently attended the Euro-Mediterranean Conference on disability Studies and disability Activism. The concierge staff were particularly helpful in arranging transport for me and guiding me around the hotel. I would like to make special mention of the efforts that Marco and the kitchen staff went to meet my dietary requirements during the conference. The food and the hospitality were second to none. Thanks again.

Top class hotel in every respect. The decor is modern and well maintained. Cleanliness is of a high standard throughout. Food and service are exceptional as are the hotel facilities. It's even got a hospital right next door! As is expected the hotel is extremely busy, not only with staying guests but with local events and customers.

Good location for easy walk to buses or ferrys. Modern gym with good range of equipment. 2 nice rooftop swimming pools and an indoor pool. Rooms are clean with decent facilities. House keeping is good. Entrance lobby area is nicely laid out and furnished in a period style. Also the Penny Black pub is a nice touch. Room service is fine too. I wouldn't describe the hotel as swanky, the corridors are dingy, carpets need cleaning or replacing. Big drawback was the food in the restaurant / buffet. Vegetables always the same and overcooked. All other courses were bland and look and taste like what you'd expect from a works canteen. Go bed and breakfast, half board isn't the best.

Super, Super facilities.

Hotel is located in a side street not far from the Promenade (5-10min) The way was perfectly OK. The rooms were large, clean, well maintained. Unfortunately they were quite old and at least it was in our room like this: without balcony. The FRÜHSTCKSBUFFET was versatile and tasty. Omelette was also freshly prepared price performance.

The hotel is nice, there is a Spotzal, pool (shared with the Palace hotel, they have a common floor). There is a Russian-speaking guy (very nice young man) working on reception. Breakfast was good. The hotel guests are mainly pensioners from Europe.
The location of the hotel is very good.

Older negative reviews in various forums I can not confirm, since the Victoria was only renovated.

Roach in the bathroom. No commercial gesture. Safe not functional despite having reported it. Relatively uncomfortable bedding to snuggle up to two in bed. These are two twin beds attached but the central link is very rigid and uncomfortable. It doesn't make you very inclined to cuddle.

We loved it, comfortable rooms, classy lobby, numerous restaurants, magnificent the outdoor pool on the top floor and the amazing view of the city. The Wellness Center is comfortable with the indoor swimming pool… The seriousness and attention of the staff, both of the restaurant and of the reception is quite remarkable. Really welcome professionals… And the location close to everything…

Great class hotel. Elegant and clean! Multi-lingual Staff! Inside the hotel there is the indoor pool with sauna and Turkish bath with free access, are services not to be underestimated if you go to Malta in the winter and at 17:30 is dark!
The breakfast is very rich although there is not much choice for those who eat the dessert. For lovers of salty no problem!
Also excellent parking under the hotel that allows you to guard the car with only €2 per day! Recommended!

Decent 4 star hotel in the same building as the 5 star palace hotel, rooms are spacious and modern. Facilities are good in winter there is an indoor pool with saunas and a gym and spa services. There are also multiple restaurants and bars in the building. Breakfast is basic but does the job. It is one of the more limited breakfast buffets I have seen in a 4star hotel. There is room for a quality injection on this domain. Two things which I would have liked to see differently are: -a full minibar on arrival you need to request them to stock it that is a bit annoying when you arrive very late. -different hours for the room service. Room service was only available from 12:30 till 15:00 and 16:00 till 21:30 would be nice to be able to order things later at night.

4 star Hotel of all respect, I was here as a couple and I had a great time. Large spaces, comfortable rooms, huge bathrooms and great location! Breakfast.

3 swimming pools, a gym, spa and continental breakfast. Clean and well equipped rooms with a great view if you get one with a balcony. A delight to the senses.

Is a very nice hotel directly at Valletta.
The rooms are clean and very nicely decorated. The view is not so beautiful, but is not really important either. The staff is nice and speaks good English. The breakfast is ok in my opinion, the bacon is way too thick and hands away from the warmly kept scrambled eggs (rather let it freshen! ). Basically I can recommend the hotel without any problems. Only younger people wishing to go to the celebrations should book elsewhere.

This time of year (November) perfect for everything because you do not have the agglomerations of Easter or summer, with a phenomenal temperature.

Discreet, located about 8 min walk from the sea. Breakfast a little miserable x Italian habits, more savory things than sweets. X who is like me lactose intolerant must be content with tea or coffee, jams and fruit, or eggs salciccie, beans and bacon. Furnishings of the modern rooms. Restaurant and rooftop pool. Spa and gym.

Quality 4* hotel in an older part of town. Modern rooms, excellent staff. Pool on the roof which was ice cold in mid October. Extensive breakfast options although bacon and sausages were pretty inedible most days.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful roof top pool. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and the room was quiet. Buffet breakfast had a good variety only thing was the coffee. Definitely need a better cappuccino machine. Apart from that I highly recommend staying there.

Has been renovated and it's now a very good 4 star hotel. Excellent peaceful location and within walking distance of both Sliema & St Julians. The room we've been given is excellent with a huge double bed (2 singles strapped together) with modern fixtures & fittings. Breakfast offers a variety of hot & cold food and the staff throughout the hotel are friendly and attentive. You might gather from reading this review that I really do like this hotel which I came across on the internet. Would recommend it to you.

Very good location, 4* hotel, sharing a roof top infinity pool with the neighbouring 5* hotel. Big rooms, some recently refurbished (if not all).

We have spent over a week in this hotel and still a few days to go. We have really enjoyed staying here, great comfortable rooms, a great variety of delicious food, friendly staff and the best sun terrace with two pools including an infinity pool. I would definitely reccomend staying here.

The breakfast was excellent.

Very spacious and quiet room. The staff is always helpful and accomodated my every request. The housekeeping service was great. Pity about the carpet in the room, which I do not like, the bathroom that deserves a makeover and the bed that creaked to every movement.

Eher 2-3 sterne Hotel nach deutschem Standard… The Victoria Hotel has two faces. There are nice rooms like in the 3rd floor, but there are also rooms like in the 5th floor with moldy airconditioner, defect furniture and a very ugly bathroom, also with mold. I'm gonna tell my experience a bit more detailed: We have booked a little higher standard for the rooms, but as we arrived at the Hotel, they gave a room in the 5th floor. The area around the airconditioner was full of mold, the same thing in the bathroom. In addition to that most of the furniture was defect and not really usebal. So we complained about that circumstances at the lobby. At the same time, another guest checked out, he complained about the same issue…! Well at least the gave us a new room, this time the room was ok, but it still makes me angry that they tried to betreat us. To be frank, the new room was nice (3rd floor) nothing to complain about. The food was ok, most of the staff was friendly and the pool on the roof is great (if you are fast enough to get a place). But after all we had to discuss it didn't feel like the vacation we had expected… So that's the reason for my rating. As conclusion: As long as you don't get a room in the 5th floor, you could mayve enjoy the visit, but from my personal experience I wouldn't check in zhere a second time…

On the 20th of this month we arrived to stay in one of the suites in the Capua Palace, The building and suite was beautiful. The staff at the Victoria Hotel were extremely polite and helpful, especially the front of house and Elenora and Stuart went that extra mile. We used the facilities at both the sister hotels, and found them very good, especially the 5 star restaurant. The photos and descriptions on their site did not due justice, especially to the suites.

Nice hotel. Love the bar, Stella served on draught and great food at very reasonable prices. Pools and gym looked newly done and very smart. Indoor pool was a bit on the small side don't expect to be doing any laps. Very professional and friendly bar staff and receptionists. Welcoming lobby — log fire, free Wi-Fi in bar and lobby. Only let down was the quality of room — big enough, but a few poor finishes and decor. Would recommend though :).

Love the Hotel and the pool area the only thing I did like was that they had overseas students while we were there and they were noisy and rude. It was't a 4 star Hotel as stated it was more a 2 or maybe 3.

Hotel pretty cool and not very expensive in the Centre of la Valleta. Features include a rooftop swimming pool quite cool that you have perfect views of the hurbana area. It has a restaurant in which you can ask 'normal' food and disconnect a little bit of so much spice.

Nice hotel. New elevator and an old one that sucks. Friendly staff, must be hard to smile 8 hours in a row.
