A day by the roof top pool always a visit worth! Super clean, the pool water cool and refreshing and the staff is super friendly. Resident of Malta and a regular goer. I can recommend.

TemptAsia restaurant is fantastic. Talk of the Town bar has excellent staff. Lawrence made us very welcome. Housekeeping staff are excellent and the rooms are second to none — we had an executive room on the 7th floor. It's a shame there are some clientele that would be more suited to The Solana in Benidorm as putting towels on sunbeds for the family to claim them when not using needs to be addressed by pool staff.

I stayed in a stunning jacuzzi suite which boasted of 2 beautiful terraces enjoying sea and city views. The staff was courteous, professional and most helpful, attentively attending to my needs and ensuring that my stay was as comfortable and pleasant as possible, particularly Shivani who is an invaluable addition to the team @ AX The Palace. Room service was free of charge which suited me very well. I especially enjoyed watching the fireworks Saturday night, sipping my favourite Bahama Mama’s and a light savoury snack and woke up to the most spectacular view of the sunrise. It was indeed a lovely getaway and I look forward to returning in the very near future.

First time visit with my fiancé to the rooftop pool last Tuesday and we couldn’t be anymore happier on the fact that it is a really amazing place to unwind ourselves in a completely different yet such a spectacular, relaxing and quiet ambience. Not to mention that the staff are truly nice and welcoming. This won't be the last time that we'll be back here. Great place to stay, the rooms are large and beautifully decorated. We akwsys come here for a night away.

Tranquil indoor pool. We booked pool with lunch and served by Martin who gave us complimentary meals for a chef's mistake of chicken fillet instead of chicken burger. Highly recommended. Food was amazing!

The best hotel where I went in my life, very very clean, staff very friendly, kind and helpful Simba, Maya, Charles, Roberta, and from the restaurant Lawrence, Marco, Danilo and Ana they were amazing especially because they took care of my friend because she has some allergies… their food it is delicious, the menu has a lot of choice, even the breakfast full of different varieties of food. I already miss stay there. Also they have a nice spa and lovely indoor pool and gym.

A very beautiful rooftop restaurant with an excellent deal. We paid just 20 Euro per person for a platter, pizza/pasta, dessert and unlimited drinks. Will go again for sure!

We stayed in a "Superior " room on 5th floor… beautiful decor, great view over the roof tops to the sea. Very quiet and comfortable. The staff were excellent.

Location is great just off the tourist track though close enough able to enjoy the peace & quiet & still get out to enjoy the busy nightlife too.

Hometime. Had a fantastic time in malta and this hotel is the place to visit. It has everything I would recommend it definitely a 5 star they even put a birthday cake in my room for me when I was in the pool. It has lots of class. Thank u AX the palace.

Very BAD experience and service. We went for our Christmas staff party on the 17th December 2019.
from the start we had problems. There wasnt enough space on our reserved table for us all and a few of us had to go sit in another room.
the FOOD… was not up to standard. When food ran out in the trays they took a lot of time to refill it. King prawns where still frozen. Food was simple and blend. The only good thing was the wine.
the palce hotel is not recommended. Especially in the holidays!

Just had a staff party on the 17th December.
Very unsatisfied with the service booked and paid deposit in advance. But when there 6 of us had to go in another room (big disappointment)
what to say about the food…
most items listed on the menu weren't on the table. Food offered was not up to standard and some of it was still frozen. Only waiters were up to standard doing there best to cope with us complaining.

It wasn’t a good experience, room service was very slow, the room was not properly cleaned every day.

Had booked a junior suite for four nights but at arrival I was informed that I had been upgraded to Ambassador Suite. I think the difference is a better location. Room, facilities and staff were perfect and what should be expected from at five star hotel. I will certainly prefer The Palace if I visit Malta again.

Very polite and professional but friendly staff, building, decor and furnishings are excellent and the location is brilliant with a 10 minute walk to the promenades.

Stayed here for 11 nights. Just amazing! Food was excellent and varied every night, staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone. Also try the roof top Thai restaurant. Views to die for. Definitely be back! Xxxx.

Nice room, great service and good food. For some strange reason they did not supply a butter knife to butter the toast or bread rolls. A little walk to the Strand. All downhill going, but quite a pull on return. No problem for the younger guests, but my wife and I are older. Had a great stay. We love Malta.

Gym in there (Profile Health & Fitness) is really crappy. I've been there couple times and the only thing that I can is that even my old university gym was better… It's small and lack of some equipment… A simple bench press is a challenge in there as there is only one or two benches for the whole "gym"! I don't recommend. It's the wrost spent money in my life.

Fairly decent hotel in a good central position to access either harbour front within 5 minutes. It's classy, rooms are large, staff polite, in fact it's a good hotel. Dropping points for: In both rooms we booked they'd wired together a mini fridge and kettle. Lamps didn't work. There were only 2 plug sockets in each room, nowhere near enough. Air con was too loud and not powerful enough. Didn't chill rooms sufficiently, which you need after being out in mid 30's all day. Mini fridge temperature was laughable, and just generated more heat into the room, than it did to chill anything. £6 for almost 500ml of Stella. Hotel roof top converts into young rich club each night, so you can't relax out socialise up there and enjoy the views unless you're mid twenties and wearing a skinny two piece suit.

A very great beautiful and well-kept hotel. The Staff are very friendly, the Food top, the Pool with great Sea views and the Rooms are cleaned and made fresh daily. Highly recommended. The Beds are incredibly comfortable.

Consistently pleasant service from a Maltese family run hotel group. Management always friendly and willing to help. The music suite is memorable for families with kids … but also for couples.

Beautiful smallish hotel in the middle of town in Sliema, Malta. Great place to stay to mix and mingle with the locals. Ideal position to reach all the centre points around town by walk.

Large rooms, terraces in the room, a huge bathroom, very warmly welcome guests. And the rooftop pool.

Very nice hotel. Is very centrally located. From here you can reach the ferry or bus to Valletta in a few minutes. Breakfast and dinner are rich and high quality.

The hotel is nice. There is a sports hall and a swimming pool.
Were in an Asian restaurant, ordered sushi-it was my fault (taste, but rather its absence, very rastoil me). Good breakfast. Good location, walking up to the promenade you can make interesting photos with colored balconies (they are very different and beautiful in Malta).

Room 9, I don't give ten just because it was on the light well.

We choose this hotel as it was rated 5 star. Location is great selima is about 10 mins walk. The breakfast was good. When booked the in the details it mentioned it provided free water and assumed it would be free for the rest of our stay, but we got one bottle. And the rest you had to purchase. The swimming pool is tiny, steam room can fit about 4 people and it wast no working and no staff there to help. There was no Jacuzzi. The room has no table or chairs so no where to eat if you order room service. The was a table on the balcony but it was cold when we went so could not sit outside. The hotel looks quite dated and would not say that this is 5 star.

I stayed at the Palace Hotel in Sliema in the first week of January 2018.
The five-star hotel is located in Sliema, is reachable by taxi from the airport at a cost of 20 euros, but is also easily reachable by bus because it is located at 200 meters from the Bus stop of the Sliema Ferries from where you can embark for cruises or take Buses to all destinations on the island. The Hotel is elegant, very well organized and well cleaned. The very large suite equipped with, desk and studio corner, led satellite TV, bar-coffee-tea corner. My room placed on the first floor had a small outdoor terrace with two chairs and a low table. 3 comfortable single beds with three pillows each. The Wi-Fi was present and well functioning throughout the hotel. Guests are provided with complimentary bottled water, bath slippers, bathrobes and towels renewed several times a day for the two swimming pools, one of which is heated on the seventh floor, the gym and the SPA where two saunas were available. The very rich breakfast with an infinity of choice between hot and cold sweet and savory dishes was served from 7:00 to 10:30 and dinner from 19:00 to 22:00 in an elegant restaurant THE TABLOID located on the ground floor. Great service in the bar-coffee, very good chefs. With access both from the outside and from the ground floor it was possible to eat "a la carte", in the TALK of TOWN CAFè an elegant café with terrace overlooking a delightful church.

I loved it, clean, comfortable, you eat well and then the pool is great even in winter.

Nice hotel. Wouldn't make 5 star in the UK but was clean, nice and the staff were friendly. The restaurant at the top of the bulding is very good and prices reasonable for the quality of the food. We didn't use the roof poop as it was winter but the smaller, indoor pool was fine. Restaurant on the ground floor very expensive for what you get. Saying this, the overall experience was good and we will use again.

Just returned from a long weekend staying at The Palace with my Mum and 14 year old daughter. We were upgraded to a junior suite by the hotel which was amazing and had great views of the sea and harbour. The room was spacious and very well appointed, the only suggestion would be a dressing table with good lighting over the mirror and plug for hair and make up would be great… the table mirror and plugs were all in separate parts of the room! And the third bed could have been better as my daughter is adult sized although only 14 years old. Apart from that we loved the hotel. All Staff were so lovely. I used the spa which was lovely and the indoor pool as it’s January and out of season. Although the sun did shine on the last day! Great location and a great base to visit Malta. We shall definitely be back.

An honest review. Location is the only thing this hotel has going for it. Forget five star, more like 3.5 to 4 tops. Rooms are dirty, and smell like smoke. Staff unapologetic about it, excuse we can’t stop people from smoking on the balcony so the rooms may smell like smoke. Buffet average and most the food was not fresh toward the end of service time. If I ever come back to Malta I will not be staying at the so called “Palace”.

We had the texture suite and it was very nice with a great breakfast downstairs from 730 I believe until 1030. The cooling element of the room seemed broken. When I put it at 15c, it was still was hot, blowing lukewarm air. Besides that nice staff and nice hotel.

Excellent buffet with wine and drinks included, also parking is included, staff is professional and kind. The price is €35.95 for adults and 17 euro for children aged 7 to 12 years. It's worth it really good.

Just arrived but have been at this hotel before and it never disappoints. Lovely large bedroom sea view — friendly helpful staff. Love it here.

Excellent place to be very beautiful rooms and facilities.

We book for a Mediterranean buffet, we arrive at the restaurant at the time scheduled after 30minutes of walk, and we are told that it is a pasta buffet.

Very friendly staff. The rooms on the street side are quite noisy with traffic and the church right next door. The inner courtyards are so much quieter. The air conditioning is very noisy and for some rooms impossible to stop. The outdoor infinity pool on the roof is very nice and accessible at any time. It is also possible to have a drink.

The Palace is a lovely 5 star hotel and comes with all that you would expect. Even the check in experience was pleasant with samples of a local drink. The room itself was spacious and modern, and had a balcony overlooking Sliema. The breakfast buffet had something for every taste. We also loved that there was an indoor heated pool, as the outdoor one looked too cold in November. Finally the attached spa is a nice plus. It's technically run by a different company but the service there is just the same.

True 5 star service from all staff. Friendly, informative and helpful. Rooms are excellent — biggest bed ever, clean and kitted out with everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic — lots of choice and quality. Above all, wonderful location in Sliema with easy access to Valletta via the sea ferry and the rest of the island by public transport. The unexpected surprise is that this was a real bargain considering what we have paid for much worse hotels! Truly champagne service on a beer budget.

We have been at the Palace for just over a week and very sad to be checking out tomorrow. The hotel is fabulous! We could not have asked for more. We have an 8th floor room overlooking the sea, a view we would never get tired off. The hotel staff are amazing, so polite and nothing is too much trouble. We have to give a special mention to Esther in The Tabloid who quickly recognised our love of coffee and made sure we had a plentiful supply. Her cheery smile each morning and ready tips on the area and places to visit was something to look forward to each breakfast time. Sliema and Valletta are wonderful too. Thank you so much to The Palace for a fantastic holiday. See you in 2018!

I had two weeks at this hotel and it was fantastic! The staff were brilliant and so incredibly helpful, kind and worked so hard to ensure we had a perfect stay. The pool is stunning and a good size. The food at the restaurants within the hotel were fantastic and really tasty. The hotel is a 10 minute stroll from Sliema so it's really central. I would recommend this hotel to everyone it's worth every penny! I shall be staying here again.

Great stay. After a first impression a little kitch we discover a hotel with elegant rooms and common areas well thought out. The staff is in every point adorable and our upgrade offered in a fabulous room was perfect. The rooftop pools offer splendid panoramas according to the daylight with the also impeccable service. No downside even the breakfast is delight. If we return to this charming country it will be at the Victoria Hotel.

Friendly staff… food great… rooms very big, clean and comfy. Only down side was no games room and balcony was very small on rooms. Big enough for only 1 person.

We stayed here for a week and it is in a great location. The pool areas are beautiful and not too crowded. The views from the roof top are exceptional. The breakfasts were excellent and the food at talk of the town cafe was very good quality. The rooms are adequate but not really luxurious. Most of our needs were met during our stay but we didn't find the staff to be as friendly as in a lot of other hotels. We would stay again though.

The room we stayed in was very big, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit strange, though very large. The wall separating the two spaces wasn't completely closed off, leaving very little room for privacy. The breakfast is very tasty and the buffet offers a nice variety.

Fantastic place. Brill breakfast to suit all from full English to fruit cereal meats and cheeses. Not crowded. Good situation for sightseeing. Small supermarket around the corner for your room nibbles. Ester at breckiex was lovely. Will Defoe visit again. Room lovely too with view of sea and a beautiful church. Xxxx.

I had along weekend break staying at The Palace. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone. The staff are friendly, always helpful and deal with requests promptly. We stayed B&B, no issues with breakfast, a good selection available. Hotel itself it of a high standard and very clean. The hotel is situated approx 10 min from all the hustle and bustle of the main shopping area, so suited to those who prefer a quieter surrounding but within walking distance of restaurants. Hotel has an outdoor pool with bar/food menu (excellent food) and an indoor pool/spa (not used as weather was too good to be stuck indoors! ). Go ahead and book if you are considering a stay in Malta :)

The outdoor pool on the ninth floor is something spectacular!

Large, comfortable rooms (beds are 1 square and 1/2 so even the double bed is huge, could sleep 4 people! ), equipped bathrooms (although I would have preferred shower and bidet instead of shower and bath). Friendly staff, pool on the terrace on the 9th floor suggestive, excellent hotel location x visit the city but also to go to take buses or boats to move elsewhere.

A great hotel. We stayed for 8 days and would stay well. The hotel is very well placed in Sliema at 5 min from bus and ferry departures. Breakfast Gargantuan.

Located in very busy neighbourhood, so avoid driving. Parking is a nightmare. Chose partial seaview room. Nice views over town and sea. Very comfortable, large room, although bed linen a bit dated. Wifi works well, good breakfast and street level bar/restaurant wth good service and OK food. Stear clear of the rose wine though… pool area on the roof with great views, and Asia roof restaurant.
