We have just had a relaxing week staying at Knights Rest. The owners Vera & Martin have welcomed us with open arms and been very accommodating during our stay. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We felt we had known them for years very friendly and chatty. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. 👍

Received a wonderful friendly welcome from Vera and her team. Good choices for breakfast including vegetarian. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Martin and Vera were so helpful and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Great position in Shanklin car parking available. Rooms very comfortable and lovely hot showers. Lovely cosy lounge with log fire. Great choice at breakfast definately good place to stay.

One of the original Hotels in Shanklin… 1863 manor house now surrounded by other properties. None the less lovely building two lounges a conservatory. Nice garden … dining area set with banquet style tables making it very sociable at breakfast. Catered my my dietary requirements. Owners and their helpers very friendly and welcoming… decor had a medieval theme … knights in shining armour … even the loo roll holder in my room was a knight in armour… tapestrys antiques… but still light and airy …. Bedrooms named. Mine was Guerwain … Lancelot etc… modern in style …

We loved the friendly atmosphere with the hosts (Martin & Vera) welcoming us like long lost friends.
Tasty breakfasts, ample & comfortable reception rooms plus a pleasant rear garden.
We definitely intend on coming again.

Lovely hosts, beautiful place, comfy beds and a can-do attitude. My son got a beautiful birthday card and a present related to his trainspotting hobby. Yummy breakfast, we left totally satisfied. Give them a ring!

The owner's of the knight's Rest B&B are the friendliest people you could imagine.
The rooms are fantastic with a beautiful ensuite. And a lovely 28" TV big enough to watch and relax at night.
The owner's went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, we are definitely going to be come back next year at some point.
Not just because the owner's are friendly but because the full English is amazing.
One last thing a massive thank you to Vera and martyn. Our stay was amazing. We shall be back next year.

A fantastic week at the Knights Rest. Scooter Rally and visiting the sights of the Isle of Wight. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant bedroom but, unfortunately, as it was on the ground floor and at the front of the house, everyone coming into the property had to come past our room which felt rather intrusive. Floor to ceiling windows with not very effective net curtains also added to this problem. Hosts very pleasant and soon repaired a problem with the plumbing caused by a faulty shower in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Good choice of hot and cold food at breakfast, freshly cooked. Some people might not have been happy about their dog being allowed in the dining room while we were eating, especially as he was taking quite an interest in what we were eating. Close proximity to shops and restaurants but the beach can only be accessed by car, numerous steps or a lift which currently costs £1.50 each way per person.

We stayed in May 2018 in this very nice, old house in Shanklin. The room was nicely decorated and very clean! Every morning we got a decent breakfast, made to our wishes and also we got lots of (background and travel) information about the island. We hardly ever encountered such hospitality as we experienced here. All in all, a great place to stay, I'd recommend it to all!

A very central quiet character B&B with a not over bearing "Knights in shining armour" theme. I had been made so welcome by the proprietors Vera & Martin and have slept so well as the bed was comfortable. I've stayed twice in the similar themed Las Vegas Excalibur hotel I have actually enjoyed my stay here alot more. The breakfast was great and just what the doctor ordered to keep you going. Remember this is a real bargain for such a lovely establishment you are only a hop skip & a jump to the Chine, Railway Station, lift or steps to the beach or the Old town (Villiage Inn pub) etc. They have a very well behaved relaxed almost horizontal lab collie cross dog that looks at you with eyebrows moving like Roger Moore if you say 'sausage' or 'chance' I've been lucky enough to work for an airline so stayed lots of places this is my favourite on the Island for superb value with added relaxed friendliness.

Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful building & surroundings. Vera & Martin are perfect hosts, so friendly & welcoming. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now.

Excellent location and the hosts were some of nicest hosts I've ever stayed with. I love the theme of Knights of the round table the bed was very comfortable.

It was a great experience to stay in The Knights Rest. The place is at walking distance from beautiful Shanklin beach. The worth visiting Sandown, Ventoren beaches are nearby. Catching 2 no service you can reach the Godshill to visit gardens and model villege. Best thing about the place is the homely treatment by Mr Martin and his wife. They are wonderful people and you will surely enjoy the hospitality and care they provide. Highly recommend the place.
