The trip of a lifetime did not disappoint at the W Maldives! From the moment we arrived until the sad ending of actually having to leave, every detail of our journey was meticulously handled! Amazing beaches, fantastic food, stylish decor, and a vibrant nightlife, the W Maldives certainly lives up to its reputation as one of the best resorts in the world!

This Bonvoy location cannot be beat. It’s so beautiful you literally question whether or not you are living in reality! The staff here is amazing! Your every wish is attended to with grace and happiness! A special shout out to Sugi at Spa for absolutely amazing TLC and also Monte and John who literally made our time here the most memorable ever … I wish I could name all of the staff because everyone of them deserves a personal shout out about how incredible they are ❤️🙏❤️

This has been the most amazing vacation destination we have ever experienced in our lives. This island is picture person. The people of the island are absolutely perfect and so kind. The perfect place to spend a holiday, away from a crazy world and all the news about pro-vaccine or against it.
The island is so small, that you can circle it in about 15 minutes of walking.
The staff is more than friendly, they are like family, everyone will know your name even from the arrival (I still wonder how they do this and if they memorise everyone’s name/face over the night) and very attentive to any need you might express or not. The cleaning of the rooms is impeccable. The food is amazing. The DJ lady has music for every taste and age and we did experience a very nice party at the bar one night. Could not find a single thing that I did not like about the resort. And ok, everybody knows, Maldives are the perfect place, but here it is the staff that really makes the difference. I only hope they are well paid, because they work very hard and now due to Covid, I think their shifts are non-existent — I noticed the same people every day and night.
This was my second time in Maldives, but definitely the best choice.

My wife and I have stayed at five locations in the Maldives. Until visiting here the Conrad Maldives had our highest rating hands down. The W clearly rivals them. The workout facilities are equivalent. Both places provide superb service and have wonderful people. The managers at both places make an effort to get to know and make the guests happy. The W provided more amenities, but the Conrad had the better breakfast. Whoever came up with the vegetable grilling technique at the W deserves 5 stars. They are the best I have had anywhere. The hotel reef at. The W definitely had the better snorkeling experience. In fact I saw my first sharks and sea turtles while snorkeling here. I believe the W is slightly less expensive as well. The scenery here is gorgeous. I only have one real negative. Our first night here they played a movie at the pool that greatly disturbed the ambiance of our dinner. It was loud and had numerous curse words. We could hear it well at our villa as well. I don't think that is appropriate for an elegant family resort. I still highly recommend the W Maldives.

I can't believe that out trip starts from such negative experience. The holidays have been booked and in order to pay for the transfer, the hotel sends us the link that doesn't work. We sent 2 or 3 e-mails to the manager asking for help. No anwer comes. The hotel number cannot be reached at +960 666 2222, so how are we supposed to book and pay for the transfer? the amazing thing is that I tried to call Marriott call centre (global) and they also failed to give me another number to reach. I still hope that the service could be way better.

Absolutely the BEST vacation experience we have ever had! We enjoyed the best of island life by lounging by the pristine white sandy beach and taking dips in our stunning villa swimming pool. The staff was extremely courteous and sensitive to each one of our requests. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone that wants a peaceful vacation in paradise. — здесь: W Maldives.

W Maldives is one of the best beach resorts that exists in Maldives. The corals are right off the beach from the hotel and no need to take a boat ride to get your underwater experience. Harmless sharks swim right close to the beach for your delight. Extremely well oriented team and helpful in every way that made our stay comfortable and private. What a amazing place is this… Island is so tiny but everything is available for guest… staff is unbelievable. They even know your name while entered in resort.

Beautiful property. The staff is unbelievable, they even know your name when you arrive, due to some crafty camera work ahead of time. Very small, tiny island but everything you need is available. The flight from Male' is about 20 min. But you may have to wait in the lounge prior to the float plane departing because there will likely be other passengers. The restaurants are great as well.

The most amazing trip we've had! The facilities were amazing and the service was impeccable! The diving was amazing! (Thanks to Jay our Divemaster! ) Food was excellent — everything is made to order and super fresh! But the best part, I think, is the Escape, their 80 ft sailboat. Amazing vessel (thanks to the captain who knows the best spots to go dive and see the whale shark and giant manta rays! ). Yes it's expensive, but you get what you pay for.

It’s a must visit place with excellent hospitality and staff. The best part about the place is they never say no for anything. Everybody goes out of the way to make your stay special. Mr. Vasant and harpal singh were superb cook and made all the indian food we asked for. Made us feel like home. Salim was an amazing guide for snorkelling. Hussain clicked pretty pictures for us. Bartenders made amazing cocktails and sheesha. And every other staff made our stay memorable. Do visit and stay in w maldives next time you plan a trip to maldives.

Our standing ovation goes not just to great hotels, but mostly to the ones that are ready to admit their imperfections and know how to make you forget about them. This is absolutely the best example. I would send staff from the Westin Berlin to train their on a course "How to make your unhappy guest very happy! " Well, not only Westin, a couple of others need that course too.
Of course, if you live in the same tiny island day after for a 10 days, you find something that makes you unhappy. In our case it was not enough Internet connection for a 2 hour video Skype conversation, which was absolutely necessary for us; too much chili in the food and a guy that was cleaning our room. But all the staff, all the managers and especially Chunky, our wonderful concierge and our W Insider, would just make it all disappear in such a perfect manner, we would simply become happy again!
Still I would say, a food could be better. But I wasn't as bored with it as I was expecting for 10 days and my wife is totally happy, even about the food.
Downunder and Wave are such a great guys! Found 3 whale sharks for us on our boat tour! 14 meters long and at arm's length (it was safe, don't worry).
Ah, dry cleaning is definitely something you shouldn't do on Maldives. Stick to the laundry and save everything else for back home.

Service is very good, is the hotel security does not pass. The restaurant has no photographic head lost valuables can not be recovered.

I choose to stay at the W Maldives because it is ranked one of the top SPG properties in the world and is the hotel you see all over the SPG flyers. However, after spending a week at W Maldives I was completely disappointed with my stay. The hotel needs a lot of work to meet top notch hotels in the Maldives. I would not recommend it to anyone who asked where to stay in the Maldives. It started off badly when we arrive for our seaplane from Mali to the island, we were told the seaplane which we booked in advance wouldn't be able to bring my luggage with us and it would have to come on the next flight. I wasn't just angry I was at a whole other level, I wanted to get to my room put on my bikini and sunscreen and lay by the water but no I would have to wait 4 hours for my luggage. They apologized for the inconvenience and I asked since I would have to wait could we be offered lunch at a restaurant while we wait. Oh no no they couldn't do such a thing, it wasn't there fault our luggage couldn't fly with us. I am SPG Platinum, 75+ nights a year and they completely dismissed that and didn't care. I love W Hotels don't get me wrong, I have been to W Bali (LOVE LOVE LOVE) W Hong Kong, W Londo, W Verbier, W Guanzho, W Amsterdam… but this one, which is supposed to be one of their best, I was completely disappointed.

Like no other place. Service service service. Everybody here trying to make you smile be happy and serve you the way you want. I was there and every employee helped me with an outstanding grade of hospitality. Food overthere is 5 star. Restaurant Fire has one of the best stakes i've ever tried. Breakfast at Kitchen has it own way yo treat you. Starti g from pastry to juices. The juices chef was eager to create different kind of mixed juices to my taste. Mahmoud was willing to serve dishes out of the menu for us, and he was creative in completing the table with full lunch meal. Tomas, Chunk, Mahmoud, Maryam, Faisal, and all staff thank you very much.

Fantastic place to be if you love the beaches. No so fantastic if you are on a budget. Great views, fantastic food and selection, amazing views, lot to do for a island, great friendly staff & fantastic accommodation. Rooms are clean, spacious & well equipped. Don't miss the spa here, it is fantastic.

Unbelievable resort. Great rooms (we stayed in their 2nd and 3rd largest rooms over the water), great service, and great snorkeling. You can just walk into the water and see amazing coral life that other islands require you to get on a boat to see.

Paradise! Unfortunately also a bit of a rip off. Eg: Water in the restaurant is $12 — no outside bottles allowed. When dropping thousands of $$$ for a honey moon, I would expect things to be included (as with other resorts in the Maldives) …

This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us to W Retreat and Spa in the Maldives. From the moment the seaplane landed to the time we departed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Ocean villa and absolutely loved our room — — private plunge pool, fish watching window on the floor, comfy lounge, outdoor feature, snorkeling from our balcony are all the things we really enjoyed! — by a guest.
