One of the best hotel in Maafushi island, staff are polite and very helpful. The duty manager helped me finding medicine for my daughter at late evening time (credit to them as part of the service to hotel tenant) Plus their knowledge toward to best activity and places around Maldives are tremendous.

It was a terrible trip ever. We were checked in on the 1st day to Kaani village by this Manager. After we were given the payment invoice, we were briefed about the resort as well as the excursion “suggested” by them. It sounds good but a little pricy so we decided to put into consideration. As, we were travel back from the private island (Hurawalhi) and we have watched the dolphin, enjoyed the sand bank and nice snorkeling over the villa. So we prefer a customized itinerary. We rest awhile in the room then walked out and went to a souvenir shop. There’s a man chit chatting with us, and he told us he has a speedboat that can pick us to snorkeling. We’re like okey, why not since the price meet our expectation. And we ask along the room next door to join us too. So, the next day (we were told that if you were to go out, you can collect the beach towel in the counter and return it afterwards), we took the towel and the Manager started to ask us where are we heading to and so on. After we told him we were talking another excursion offered by others, he claimed that “the beach towel shall not be pass to us as we are not engaging their “suggested” excursion in a rude manner! It’s fine, the strong wind from the speed boat will definitely dries us. I believe that so many excursion offered in Maafushi and we of course have our rights to choose on what we want, and what suit us the best!

Close to the beach, affordable, nice pool and friendly staff! But the rooms are not sounded proof, you can hear people talking next to you or people around the pool. If you like to sleep long and in a quiet place Kaani is not the place for you, I was woken up at 6 am by Asian family using the swimming pool, they destroyed the peace of the place. Nobody from reception told them off. Very dissapointting.

Superb! Great experience and the view is mind blowing. People are very helpful. Sorry… forgot to give the room keys. If any one going to this place … please carry the keys back. Looking for Mumbaikars or any from Thane. Check room rates as there are hidden cost too.

Restaurant outside the hotel. The hotel amplifies the sound music from 11 o'clock to midnight at 2.3 points. Noise super noisy, unable to sleep, the hotel itself and service quality is not very good, especially the male manager attitude is poor, will not stay again! Hotel around bar from evening 23:00pm~02am. 03AM Music Noise, no Quiet Sleep, hote staff service no Good, male manager poor service, I don ' t again come stayed here!

Nice hotel and Good staff. At a very good location. We had complaints of AC not working so we were accomodated in another room when the issues could not be solved.

The Hotel was comfortable. Dining area was not great but you were allowed to dine at the bigger hotel belonging to the group which was an added perk. Great service.

The hotel war 5 years but the facilities went not well. Recommend to have the Kaani Beach Grand hotel. But the hotel owner and manager was smart and clever guy, h handled my feedback and compliant very quickly and professionally.

Clean and a very nice place for stay in mapushi. The island is an open island hence it is lively then the rest. The staff is friendly and very helpful. This hotel is facing the beach and the beach is very lively. Breakfast is included in the stay. The only negative aspect is there aren't many options for vegetarians here. Overall a pleasant stay. Not very expensive as compared to other hotels.

We stay here for 5 days, although the facilities are not very new, but neat and clean, service personnel all of the kids very active kind, the room space is also enough, in this price range we liked.
Breakfast selection is less, but also sufficient.
Dinner need to go to the Kanni beach dinner menu than in the Arena beach less, but this 5 day almost never repeated dishes, and very tasty, so we enjoyed dinner, the chef very carefully prepared.

Local island excursions with prices quite affordable. All day excursion (2 reef fish, 1 reef, turtles, dolphin watching, and lunch included in sandbank 35$). Very friendly staff and my special mention to Magic (responsible for the excursions and transfers between the islands).

Room: cold air, high temperature, 25 can't go up to the room, basic toiletries suggest a girl with a comb, a cotton patch, a room with a pump, a little noise in the room, but no room. Tow free water but no tea bag class bed comfortable boiled water bad take to replace but didn't come back to have to give us a pot of hot water only every day with the counter to The room is good overall. Travel: When the baggage is not yet checked in, we recommend the trip. 35 Beauty of the Turtle floating in the day after tomorrow but we're not going to tell us about snorkeling when we make a reservation for the day after tomorrow the whale shark 85 beauty told us we can cancel the change of our own whale shark, but ask the other counter that we are not sure whether the whale shark line will And then it didn't work out. I feel a whole lot of fooling around though the business makes me feel bad, but the coach is great, it checks the passengers ' equipment before they go into the water. The meal is the staple of the morning. Practice the whole nice night fishing: with dinner fishing + watching the sunset but you seriously fishing will not look at the sunset and personally think 30 beautiful fishing is very expensive Even though I've been fishing for three dinners, fish and fish sauce, I think it's okay to take this money out of the shower: the top floor of the open-air shower is terrible. How do you wash the workers behind the building? '

I only ate at the buffet. I didn't stay in the rooms. Buffet was nice with a good selection. Do not order a mocktail because they are absolutely horrible at making them and they are $6 each!

What is mentioned in Make my trip website with respect to booking your hotel as "Mandatory Transfer fee"?. Is it compulsorily applicable even if we arrange on our own the transfer till your reception desk without any assistance from you? or only applicable when you arrange transfer services say from Airport to your hotel?

Really nice place, nice people, food is just fine if you are vegetarian. Kitchen staff helped us a lot for veg food. Room service and housekeeping was immaculate. We expected bigger rooms. This property of Kaani has only 12-14 rooms so you will get a quiet time. Front Desk people were amazing and so helpful. It is not ocean facing or does not have private beach but that's okay since you will get plenty of that on the island.

I had a great time, the rooms are nice and spacious, spotless. The staff very friendly and honest! I had a great time!

One of the better, value for money and well located places on the island Pro: Sundeck: it has one (see pictures) Location: even for a small island it's bang in the middle, pretty close to the harbour. Price: reasonably price for its class, so it's packed frequently. Rooms: beach facing or others available, all are very comfortable and roomy. Service is pretty good and friendly. Excursions: they organise trips every few days which cover 2-3 snorkeling points, lunch on sabd banks, photography etc. For a reasonable price of about $30. Just because of that though don't expect great food, and expect large crowds. Cons Food: to be fair, food sucks in almost every place on the island, including here.

Very neat hotel on the beach with lovely views from the sundeck on the roof. Very friendly helpful staff. Good food. A mix of locals, shops and restaurants, watersports. Part of kaani group of three hotels on the islands which you are free to visit and dine at.

We stayed in deluxe room with pool view. Best choice we made. The pool is literally outside our room, so we made full use of it. The staff at Kaani Village were really really friendly and easy to get along with. They provided helpful information about the island and attractive snorkel packages (no hardselling). They were very accomodating to our requests. The hotel is located just 2 minutes walk from the jetty, so it's really easy to find. Breakfast is simply and adequate to satisfy your needs, with a variety of local Maldivian dishes to impress your palate. In conclusion, well worth the money we paid for and a wonderful experience.

Very obliging staff and a nice location to just chill out and get away from it all. Inhabited island with nice little shops and plenty of places to eat at reasonable prices. Three course dinner is readily available at U. S. $12 in lots of locations. All sorts of water sports available locally as well as at the hotel for the enthusiast. Would recommend at least take one of the day snorkelling trips that the hotel provides. Hotel room very comfortable with good room service. All staff are very obliging and go out of their way to help you enjoy your hard earned rest. Got to go now the beach is calling me.

The hotel though has a 4 star rating in agoda etc, but in reality the rooms are very small and it is at the most 2 star for stay. The front lobby, the tour guides, restaurant people r really good.

Really friendly staff. We had a family room with balcony. There is a pool which was a great plus for kids. Everyday fresh water and room nicely cleaned. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel. A bit let-down is breakfast. I would appreciate more fruit selection/ yogurts, also different bread, etc. Also the service seemed a bit slow/ not organised efficiently. Otherwise our stay was fantastic. Thank you.

Great hotel. Just wish the staff wasn't so pushy with their water activities. The second we got there they tried to sell us their packages. Put us off. Otherwise a good hotel with a pool.

I liked the service and the staff and especially a person named as Tiger who always helped in arranging things which we needed anytime and was always ready to help and Manoj was a guy who always served us the best food at the hotel and always keen to help and always come forward and ask if we needed anything so I would really appriciate the service and the staff of Kaani beach hotel and whenever I visit Maldives I would love to stay at Kaani beach hotel.

My wife and I stayed 8 nights at the Kaani Beach Resort on Maafushi island in the South Male Atoll in February 2015. This was the fourth island stay of our 23 day visit to the Maldives. We were promptly met at the dock by Kaani Beach staff who transported our luggage to the hotel. We had previously stayed in guest houses in the Ari Atoll on the islands of Hangngaameedhoo, Mahibadhoo and Omadhoo; on these islands there are few visitors compared to the local population. We were surprised to find so many vacationers on this island. The island had the feel of a resort island where the only locals work in the resorts. There must have been four or five hotels and 20 or more guest houses with construction of many more taking place. Local residences are being displaced at a rapid pace. We had a lovely room on the second floor with bathroom, a/c, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The hotel also had a good Wi-Fi connection. We paid about $150 per night with taxes and breakfast included. The best feature of this island is a 20 acre lagoon of crystal clear water of constant depth of 3 to 5 feet depending on the tide, right in front of the hotel. Adjacent to the lagoon is a small beach area that is fenced in with a 7 foot high bamboo fence so the locals will not be offended to see bikini clan tourists. When we were there, the small beach area was saturated with tourists; like ants on a sugar cube would be a good analogy.

I along with my wife had the pleasure of staying at the Kaani Village and Spa hotel in Maafushi Island for 4 nights and must say that it was one of the best stays we had. The hotel staff was very friendly, especially the owner Mr. Abdullah who was very accomodating and who took personal interest in making our stay comfortable. The hotel also organised day trips to nearby islands as well as Dolphin watch. All in all, it was a memorable trip that was made even more pleasent because of the great hospitality of Kaanu Village and Spa.
