I had one of the most amazing stayed in the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. The service was impeccable and the food was exquisite. I highly recommended the Prawn Marsala and Butter Chicken it was so good.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel, the room was ready earlier than expected and the food especially at the Indian buffet was mouthwatering with some unknown delicious drinks and dishes. Later check out was also possible. What a friendly staff and great spoiling treatment. Thanks so much.

Excellent rooms, good for seafood lovers as options are more, however just one or 2 Indian dishes available.

Brilliant stopover hotel in malé before going to the many resorts. Our room was upgraded free of cost to a delux room to help us accomodate our children more comfortably. The management also gave us a complimentary tour. The team was super friendly and helpful. The resteraunt was top notch. When we checked out at 5am for our resort they gave us a complimentary packed breakfast. We were really moved by this gesture. Overall brilliant experience.

Excellent hotel in good location, have beautiful room and toilet, with full of all toiletries, coffee maker, electric cattle, mini fridge with full of juices and drinks (additional charges applied) big LED and complementary delicious breakfast. The staff is very friendly and co-operative. Love to stay again when ever come to Male.

Spent a day in Male after a 35 hour trip from Toronto Ontario Canada. After surviving the cab trip to the Somerset Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find all aspects with the hotel very enjoyable. Friendly staff, very nice room, and great coffee. Would stay here again if I ever travel back to this part of the world.

Very tasty food, ESL take the fare "all inclusive", then eat for 50 dollars a day. In the restaurant you are ordering, there is no Swedish table. The room is comfortable and spacious. The staff is incredibly friendly. The location is not very pleasant. The Windows overlook the neighboring house, which is very close to.

Big rooms but no viev from the Windows. You can get breakfast and dinner rated, no sweaming pool nor gim.

Room smelled like cigarettes, staff didn’t know much about the city and were quite difficult to communicate with. Construction work woke us up 7 in the morning everyday and the elevator was out of service during one of the days. Only good thing was the restaurant, the food and service was excellent.

Comfortable and convenient.

From the beginning until the end of my business trip 90% memory comes about the hotel and its ambience and staff. I would rate 4.7/5.0 excellent spacious room with living room. Nice amenities. Lovely restaurant. Staff from restaurant and kitchen are friendly enough.   chef Satish is well wrest at dishes in any kind of cuisine you ask for. Suneesh he brings dishes to your table his hospitality is wonderful, he serves you as you are his personal guest. Still Satish dishes are mouth watering the fish curry.

Room is clean and big. But we arrive late and leave early for sea plane. Well service on packed breakfast.

The staff are nice warm and friendly. The food at Belle Amie Bistro is fabulous! The hotel is very neat and tidy.

Good choice of breakfast variety, clean & attentive staff. Often out favorite in the city on a holiday when alot of people are away, since the space is small.

I have been to several hotels in Male, but this has been the best so far. Professional staff, nice rooms, great location. Unlike other hotels, room was quite, which is something hard to find in Male.

The hotel does not provide a transfer from the airport with speedboat, so we're advised to take public ferry which cost about USD1 or MVR10 for each person. In general, this boutique hotel was much better than expected, clean room, comfortable and quality bed, bathroom with ample space, excellent internet, very friendly staff and wide range of breakfast choice. The check in and check out process were quick. About going out, you can walk around the island, in about 45 minutes since Male itself is small. There are a couple of restaurants, national museum, national library, national mosque, Muruku oldest mosque, morning market and lots of shops which I find it really convenient. All in all, it's indeed a wonderful hotel that I would recommend and come back to.

The Somerset Hotel is a cozy accommodation, has nice and friendly staff and a restaurant for a nice meal at ground level. Other restaurants nearby. As mentioned previously by other visitors the hotel is situated in an living area where at this moment some building activities are pending. For this reason I moved from the 3rd floor up to a higher floor (construction work next door at 3rd floor level during my stay). Rooms are nice and with sufficient space. You will enjoy your stay.

Staff are nice and helpfull, breakfast buffet is average. It s located in a small alley with plenty of work around it.

Somerset Hotel is one of my favorite hotel… staffs are accommodating… and they always wear a smile in their faces… they attend to your need whenever u have a questions or in need of assisstance in your room. Foods are also great…! im definitely going back to visit maldives again… and im going to book at Somerset Hotel again…! Good job to all the staffs of the hotel!

Somerset is a great value for money hotel and is close by to most of the important historic locations of Male (albeit everything is close in Male). The rooms are luxurious and built to modern tastes. You'll find a lot of good eating options nearby if you don't like the excellent attached restaurant. Pro-tip: While you could ask the hotel to arrange excursions, I'd suggest dropping by Dive Club Maldives which is barely 500m away.

The in house restaurant here is pretty good. Their burgers are probably the best in town!

Very good hotel to live with family and visit other resorts for a day, we loved theirs in house restaurant. The head chef sathish kumar and team prepared Indian vegetarian meals for my family every day which was not on the menu. Highly recommended for male visit.

Amazing chicken curry. Awesome. Doing is clean and staff are eager to help. Try the chicken curry at the hotel restaurant!

Fantastic professional staff great food. GANESH Kumara the restaurant manager and his support staff comprising Sri Lankan and Filipino Akila, Thusith and Angelo. The chef Mr Fernando who produced a great crab curry and other The welcoming and warm front office team Ajla, Sameera and Shiman and all the other gentlemen. Great city hotel and hospitality.
