The staff was friendly and very helpful, the location is amazing you never get bored always something to do, the food was great 👍 to many choices everyday changing, excursions absolutely fabulous Sandbank Picnic, Sunset Dolphin cruise, Glass Bottom boat, everything amazing, we definitely comeback. Every Wednesday amazing show with Detune Band they are the best making atmosphere 👍

The people here it’s so friendly and the behavior is very nice, they decorated the bed for free and changed the breakfast to suhoor in Ramadan for us and the room service was fast 👍, the place is at the top of the magnificence☺️, it was a wonderful trip.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. Everyone at the resort was so warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the service was exemplary and the resort absolutely immaculate. The food and drinks were outstanding with plenty of variety. A special mention to all the ladies in the kids club, to Sephora, Razaan (? ) and Hammad (? ) for making our little ones (and our) adventure so memorable and enjoyable. I can’t recommend this resort enough — this was a once in a lifetime trip for us, but we are now trying to figure out how we can get back!

Love love love every bit of kurumba! Everyone here are just so awesome and warm! This is like home to us! Other hotels may have a more luxurious product and rooms BUT so far no resort can beat the service here at Kurumba! (And trust me I have been to many! ) Not just you have lovely staff but your GM Andrew is also super amazing! We see him walk the resorts all the time, talk to the guests, treat everyone with respect — simply just an awesome guy! Kurumba is blessed to have him! Continue to be awesome 👏🏻 we love you Kurumba!

Amazing island, the quality of food and drinks included in all inclusive is amazing! The staff are second to none. And being a 10 minute boat from male was perfect after a long flight. I will be back!

Me and wife along with our 11 month are staying here since a day and totally loving the experience. Very good resort with good quality food and top class service, with a breathtaking sea along the room. Heard someone called it a Paradise, I wouldn’t disagree more.

A TRULY INCREDIBLE PIECE OF PARADISE If you are thinking about booking at Kurumba, do so now. My new Fiancee and I had an incredible 3-week stay. Everything about Kurumba is incredible from the beautiful beaches to the great and friendly staff. The resort is the perfect choice for anyone thinking of a trip to the Maldives. The best aspect of our visit was by far the food! We both follow a vegan diet that the chefs went out of their way to create some of the best food we have ever tasted. A special thanks must go to Chef Nanda, Chef Shahid, and Chef Viji. We are so thankful for all the effort they and their team put in. Kurumba is such a special place that you have to visit.

We had an amazing time in Kurumba Maldives, Lux North Atoll. The sea with the tyrkys water and the shells beaches, very peaceful island, suitable for the families with the kids. The hotel offers indoor / outdoor kids activities, family games, tennis, snorkling and trips by the boat. Exceptional staff starting from the reception, restaurants, customer service, kids club… The hotel is equipped with the medical clinic and Dr. As well. Big advantage: close to the airport especially if you are spending just few nights. The hotel did a very romantic decoration of our villa as it was our wedding anniversary. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Kurumba, we loved every single minute of our stay. Can’t wait to return. Staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. We were so relaxed and content the entire stay. Food was amazing too.

My family of four from the US had an excellent experience. The resort was great, the all inclusive food was world class, the staff was extremely attentive, the snorkeling was the best and our butler Imthiyaz T. Comes highly recommended! The presidential villa was absolute paradise. I want to thank everyone at the resort for a great vacation!

My first stop on my solo Maldives trip was Kurumba. Highly would recommend visiting the first resort in the Maldives! Especially appreciate their boat transfer from the airport. It was a bit choppy and the boat handled it very gracefully. I know there are SO many options but once I got to Kurumba I adored it. The outdoor shower in my bathroom was the absolute best part. My room opened up right to the beach. Every staff member said hello and was very friendly. It’s a quiet get away. As any island resort it can get a little expensive but I highly recommend visiting the spa! There is a live DJ and some night life I believe Thursday-Saturday and Kurumba offers daily events such as snorkeling, cooking classes, etc.

Not a bad hotel "in walking distance" from Male airport (10 minutes by boat). Suitable for mass tourists for rest, or for one night to acclimatize before or after diving (just our option). We lived in a luxurious Royal Villa, our wonderful butler Simon met us right at the airport and helped in everything. Cool pools in the villa (admittedly small, but children enough) and good furniture. A certain inconvenience — there is no intercom for remote opening of the front door from the room. The view from the room to the beach slightly overshadows the neighboring island with mass construction, and other vacationers sometimes want to lie down on your hammock or sunbeds for a photo shoot. The proximity of the airport makes itself felt by ups and downs, but the city dweller is not afraid of it. The food is quite decent for this money, a large variety of restaurants that pleases. A cool boat with a transparent bottom will show you the home reef and its inhabitants (including sharks and turtles). We didn't have time to use anything else in one day.

I loved the place! It can be expensive for some people but a very beautiful place! The food is halal and delicious. There are many wine choices but if you are Muslim they can remove alcohol from your room. The water is free in the rooms but the rest you have to pay when you check out! I loved the private pool but you can visit the public pool if you would like! If you want the best holiday experience in your life I recommend this fantastic place!

5 stars for this amazing resort! It’s the perfect place for honeymoon. You can feel peace and quiet in the beautiful scene around this trip. Food was tasty in all their restaurants. Rooms were quite clean and very comfortable. People were all nice there. They made me feel we were special. Strongly recommend this resort for vacation!

I was here since 1990s. It has transformed itself into a nice and beautiful hotel compare to the 90s. Wifi strong enough for guests to chat online. Hotel staff are nice and friendly.

This is the first resort in the Maldives opened in 1972. Over the years they have transformed keeping up with the latest trends. Resort is located just 10 minutes from Velana International Airport. There are a wide range of accommodation including the standard rooms to villas with private pools. They also offer some of the widest range of food and beverage outlets with flavours from around the world.

Beautiful hotel in a private island 10 minutes away from the airport by speedboat. The place is quite and the sand beaches and ocean views are stunning. I was amazed by how clean it was all around, even the bathroom which was partially in the open. The staff was really nice and helpful all the time too. I highly recommend this hotel for a romantic or peaceful holiday.

This resort is almost perfect: the rooms or cottages are large, have an open-air shower (and a "normal" shower and bathtub) as well as great beds. The sandy beach of the island and the sea are beautiful. In about twenty minutes the island can be comfortably circled. Also great is the selection of theme restaurants. A plus-and at the same time a negative point is the proximity to the airport: in about ten minutes you will be on Kurumba, but then you will get to hear planes on the island.

Nice place when man comes in, you can end up buying his trip again to come out.

As you know Maldivian islands are really next to heaven. If you love white sand and crystal water all over then it's the perfect place for you. Kurumba resorts is on the very first island that comes after the main island that is MALE (Airport Island) so it's quite easy to reach within few minutes which would save your lots of money for transfers. The island is full of natural beauty with restaurants and different room categories. It's highly recommend if you're planning for Maldives vacation. It's a request to Kurumba that please add water villas/over the water villas as they are the single thing which is lacking in Kurumba otherwise it's next to paradise.

AMAZING! Loved every minute. The room was great, short walk to the beach. Fantastic buffet. From the breakfast to dinner all good! Nice bar for a drink and dance at night time. I've loved my cocktail with a view and good live music. Absolutely love everything. Thankfull!

It is a very nice experience with Kurmba resort. Every thing is perfect starting from warm welcome at the reception, the room, amazing all restaurants and water activities. Staffs are unique such as never when meet you when walking around start great, stop and smiling. Spa you must do it with them believe me.

Location Had a rest in March 18 year. The hotel has recently been renovated. Stayed in the bungalow. To 15m beach. Lay on the beach have the same room as the bungalow and no need to borrow them in the morning. Breakfast was good. There is a fitness room, swimming pool. Children's area and children's club. All the equipment is new in excellent condition. The water and beach are clean fabulous. Towels and linens are changed regularly, daily. The territory of the island is green. We think we'll be back. Close to the airport, the planes are reminiscent of civilization. But they are quickly accustomed to it.

This resort is a paradise, 7mins far from the airport by speed boat. Very family friendly place, with lots of activities and amazing white sand beaches. Good location for snorkeling, less for diving. You can find 5 different restaurants, with acceptable food selections. Highly recommend if you planning shorter trip to Maldives and don’t want spend time on additional transport to further islands. Only one negative point, occasional noise from departing planes.

Peaceful, Tranquil and Absolutely lovely to spend quality time with your loved ones. (No loud tour crowds. ) The Spa was great, very relaxing and the Buffet for lunch & dinner spread was awesome. Numerous waters activities to try out. I've seen lots of Honeymoon couples there!

Well maintained resort in Maldives, Loved the hospitality provided, rooms were cleanly maintained. We have booked beach view villa, Enjoyed the beauty of the sea from the room. The staffs are friendly and helping. They have limited veg options in Buffet, but they will prepare some veg items on request. It has well maintained gym (free), Spa (It cost you), indoor and outdoor sports activities. If you are looking for some adventure, you can do scuba diving, kayaking, sailing. They have sunset and dolphin cruise (Costs you). Enjoyed the stay over there.

Although We stayed for 1 night, we enjoyed our time there. We had beach villa with full beach view all inclusive, it was amazing. I recommend this resort to whoever wants to go to Maldives for the first time.

An experience par excellence! It is an expensive experience for an Indian but worth it. So serene and pristine is the island that one would wish one settles on it. The prices on booking websites may not indicate it but they don't include the 23.2% GST that is applicable to almost everything one purchases not only in Kurumba but in the Maldives. The basic rooms at Kurumba itself are really good. I'm posting pictures.

I had the most wonderful, enjoyable experience with Kurumba the entire duration of my stay! The staff is friendly and genuinely care about the guests' happiness, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy! There are tons of options for great food and plenty of fun things to do! It was definitely an experience I'll never forget, and I can't wait to be back!

My husband and I visited Kurumba for 4 nights on our honeymoon. (we wish it was longer! ) Our stay was absolutely incredible. The island is a paradise; with lush gardens and surrounded by the most beautiful water & reefs. Our deluxe bungalow was wonderful and just a stones throw from the beach. The staff are so friendly, with the best customer service that I have ever experienced. The food was delicious and there are plenty of things to do on and around the island. We absolutely loved Kurumba and would recommend it to families or couples looking for an exceptional holiday destination. We already can't wait to go back!

Beautiful and friendly place perfect to come down from everyday stress. A lot of international audiences, English is talked about everywhere. Rooms or cabins are not located on a jetty but very close to the beach about 50 meters with everything but superior room. Room and beach Paradishable only the proximity to the airport disturbs something, but can be concealed because there is not an inordinate amount of air traffic. Would come back at any time if you can afford this:-).

This is an excellent place with kind people and good food. An oldest currort in Maldives but when you walk around you would never say it. Everything is in superb conditions. Many facilities for guests (gym, SPA) that makes enjoyable time when weather is creepy ;) it is really worth visiting.

Perfect in every way u can imagine, I booked the deluxe pool villa, which is very spacious you can accommodate two kids comfortabley in it, good food, it's perfect for children as they have a great recreational activities for the young ones, the beaches are clean, staff are super friendly, my favourite part is that unlike other resorts in Maldives they will let you know of all the hidden charges in the meal packages depending what u choose. The resort doesn't have water villas but I didn't mind as my deluxe pool very was perfect and had direct access to an amazing beach. The resort is very close to make city (15 min speed boat ride).

Wow! What a great resort! My wife & I spent 3 nights at this resort & it was breathtaking experience. We stayed in beach bungalow that opened up to the sea. Our room was beautiful with lot of amenities. Kurumba staff takes care of you from arrival to departure. Housekeeping is twice a day with fresh beach towels. Breakfast is buffet with huge variety of food to choose from. You have plenty of option for lunch/dinner. From buffet at Vihamana/Thilla to restaurants, you will have lot to indulge in. This resort deserves 5stars, but I am going with 4 as add on items are bit expensive. Also, I wasnt too impressed with the checkout process. We were hurried a bit to catch our boat, but then we were also on holiday mood. Overall, fantastic place! Will I revisit the resort? Probably not, but only because I want to explore other resorts!

Kurumba is like Heaven on Earth, God has really blessed the place with so much of Beauty that we were really awed by the place. The Crystal Clear Waters, Kids Engagement and Snorkelling Tour was out of this world. The place is really well maintained and the staff is very courteous. I would recommend the place for families and anyone looking for quality Snorkelling and Scuba Diving.

Amazing place! It was my first time in Maldives and it is love at first site. Room are nice and clean, staff very helpful, pleasant and polite. Yes, the prices arent cheap, but worrh such a holiday! Highly recommended by me.

Been here twice and have loved every minute of it. The staff are so friendly that we look forward to going back just to catch up with the people we made friends with last time. I think depending on what side of the Island you are on will mean different experiences, we were not on the side that faces the airport so had great views. Great choice in food and drink, lots of activities although you do need to pay more for these. Most people that holiday here are easy to get on with, the Russians are to be avoided as we always find them rude towards the staff but that is not the fault of the resort. Really easy to get to from the airport via free boat transfer (15mins) arranged by the hotel. Can't wait to go back.

A great choice for a Maldivian holiday, staff is absolutely wonderful, good array of restaurants and food, very relaxing place with nice lounge bar and music in the evenings, great spots for snorkelling only few meters away from the beach. Rooms of choice should be Deluxe, right in front of the beach. Whether wishing just to relax in a full therapy mood or have dynamic days with plenty activities (manta ray or dolphin cruise), Kurumba is the place. Proximity to Male gives the advantage of a good variety of food and closeness to the airport, whereas the downside would be the noise from planes or boats and the view towards the buildings on the main island. However, we were not bothered by these at all, barely heard the sound of planes.

It's a great place, but it's a little expensive.

Amazing place for holidays. Expensive.

Very friendly staff, excellent rooms and beautiful resort. The beach is well maintained with lots of fishes in it. Lots of options for dining with breath taking sceneries. Activities ranging from dolphin watch, sunset fishing to the usual scuba diving snorkeling. Highly recommended, don't want to leave.

Rest here for 5 years in a row — that's saying a lot! Going in March for the sixth time. Comparing each time the previous visit, note the desire of the team to improve service, every time we find something new. This is a great place for a family holiday. Good diving, there's your center. Who wants to, takes a snorkel and mask rental and enjoy snorkeling, believe me — it's great! Recall my first visit. From morning to evening in the water, the diving, the snorkeling. Near my house vacationing honeymooners, the water almost did not climb. I got them to snorkel on the second last day. The woman admitted that nothing more beautiful had not seen and pitied that they are so late I saw this beauty. Next time I come back rested next to a young family from Moscow. With two young children. When I advised them to go snorkeling, they snorted that the relative of your dive club in Egypt, they saw a lot they say. However, the head of the family took the fins and mask, took a swim. Leaving the water said, " Yes, Red sea is "resting"! " … The eager kids in the kids club. Grandson is 5 years old learned to swim here. Our family loves the "Kurumba"!

Excellent place on earth. We had booked for superior room but on arrival we got upgraded to Ocean View Deluxe Bungalow. Spectacular view of the beach and ocean. Very courteous staff who are always there to help u. Stayed there for 3 days with my daughter. We enjoyed. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. House keeping is done three times a day.

It was amazing and a wonderful trip.

We were very lucky in our visit to Kurumba. The resort was not very crowded when we were there and our deluxe bungalow was situated on the best part of the island. I might not have been as happy getting a room on the other side of the island (If I had, I would hang out at Athiri bar all day instead where the beach was amazing, problem solved). I have seen people complain about the noise from aircraft, but being warned it did not bother us much (a noisy couple bothered us more one afternoon and you can encounter that anywhere). The food and drinks are expensive and not always up to par with what you pay for. I would say half of our meals where amazing and the other half not quite there. We had the dine around all inclusive which I would recommend. Not because I saved a lot of money on it, but mainly because I would otherwise feel bad every time I saw a check. The snorkeling was very good and easily accessible even for beginners. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. The air was 28°C day and night and the water was 26°C (March 2015). Amazing effort was put on keeping the island clean and tidy. We barely saw an insect and the beach and water was to die for. All in all the best holiday I have ever been on.

Amazing all round! My wife and I spent 5 unforgettable nights and enjoyed the Islands world class food, snorkelling/diving, friendly staff and memories that we’ll never forget. The resort went above and beyond to give us the most romantic Valentine’s Day/6th anniversary and cannot thank them enough. We highly recommend Kurumba Island resort.

What waves and what beaches! P' roblem, coral Yes funds leave the touching, wappo and then the manhus or makos; is your paradise, tiger shark, and the Bull. Wonderful, especially for the "naturals".

Cons: Pricey, too many buildings and people packed in a small island. About 2 km to Male airport, you will not miss even a single plane taking off, some disturbance from small hydroplanes every 5 minutes Pros: Good service and food, free facilities (gym, playgrounds etc).

Amazing resort. Our first time to Maldives and we are extremely pleased we chose this please. Great staff, very polite and all seem extremely happy. Nice evening entertainment and good food. The entire resort is well maintained and beaches are clean. Will miss this place.
