Good service from the front office. Nice room for short trip but if the breakfast can be arrange much earlier for eg. 8.30 am rather than 9am to 10. Am it would be nice. Other than this strategic location to attraction.

Good service The Indian receptionist is willing to let me check in at 2.00PM instead of the initial 3.00PM check in time. Room is spacious and comfortable.

This hotel provided tooth brush n bedroom slippers. Down side is not enough parking space but overall its good hotel and beds are clean. my 3rd visit to this hotel and we have no issues at all.

Great surrounding area. Well manage, nice and clean room & fabulous shower room. Also very friendly staff.

My booking with this LOUSY HOTEL via Agoda is the worst nightmare! Firstly, checking in tonight, the room allocated was ajar, so for safety reasons, change of room is inevitable. Next, the reassigned room has aircon problems, si had to change room again. Sybsequently, rooms change after one another as they were all saunas, with same aircon problems. And Agoda lamely put the excuse of systems limitations and could not reassign guest to an alternative hotel. Gotta survive a loooong nightmare to wait for news tomorrow, what can be done… haiz! Why can't this LOUSY hotel close down for good and just blame it on COVID-19 economic downturn?! @#$%

Very limited parking and causes trouble for guests to find parking outside the hotel area. Guests are forced to park at high-risk areas for vehicles. The parking facilities provided do not correspond to the high hotel prices and this problem should not occur. Also, the process for check-in is also very slow as guests have to wait for the room to be clean first even check in at night and the room should be ready correspond to its availability.

Comfortable and relax place for breakfast. Many choice of local food.

Not enough parking space in same building. The staff ask parking far away with 10min walking in dark beside main road & crossing a busy traffic. Really Brainless arrangement, ask customer walk at a busy road that no walk way & how dangerous is crossing a damm busy traffic road.
Before you suggest customer, can you ask your manager go try them self first?
And very rude security guide drive out customer.

We check on to cititel express at 9pm was told that there is no parking available but during booking we did make an extra effort to call and ask about the parking and was confirm there is a parking. Upon checking in there is no parking available and we were chase by the guards. After asking were told parking is not at the hotel and were ask to walk from the extra parking lot to the hotel which is atleast 500m in the dark, no signboard to show directions. It is definitely the worst experience ever.

Good Service. Excellent room. Strategic location. Parking is limited in the building. However, hotel do provide an open space opposite with security taking care of the space 24/7. Very accomodating hotel crew. Overall, I had an amazing stay here. Will book the same hotel again for my next stay in Ipoh! Highly recommended!

Nice and clean. Strategy place.

I arrived at hotel around 1:40pm and proceed to check in process. But I wait until 2:15pm, I was told the room still not ready yet and the housekeeping process just start. This is so ridiculous as hotel stated in tnc that check in time is 2pm. Time management of this hotel is totally failed. Customer will get charged if check out late, then when hotel can't ready the room for me at the promised time, can customer charge back the hotel?

Even hotel price cheap but services not satisfied not enough parking lots we have to park quite far and not save … should provide more pillows… aircond remote faulty so cannot control the aircond… breakfast choice of food limited.

The hotel was cheap but it does not have enough parking lots. And I saw snacks under the bed and the blanket was dirty. I also saw a hairball in the room.

The room is spacy as I book for a room that could fit 3 adults and 1 infant. It is cheap too. Located at the center of Ipoh. Nearby the river front of Kinta river. The best part of this hotel is it's parking that using machine that could lift your vehicle up above the another car. Which greatly useful for a hotel that having little space for parking. Breakfast here is sucks. Big time.

Location of hotel is central. Cleanliness is good. Rooms are well appointed for this budget. Some things visitors need to know: 1. Parking is a problem. A major one. 2. Night checkins can be slow if there is only 1 man at the counter 3. Rooms do not have electric kettles or irons, you get it from a common place at each floor 4. They dont provide toothbrush, tooth paste or any extras. Only soap, sanitary bag, shower cap 5. TV channels are very limited 6. Breakfast choice is very, very limited as they do not have a full function kitchen. The breakfast area at the lobby only functions during the breakfast hour.

We took a family room that came with two double beds. Very comfortable. In-room entertainment was great with on-demand movies, etc. Parking is limited though.

Hotel is clean, room is decent, affordable rate. Staff is friendly. A lot of information for tourism activities around Ipoh. Near to Ipoh train station. In front of padang Ipoh. Nice view.

My second stay here, the hotel is good and staff is amazing. But during my recent stay, felt the rooms were not clean, water kettle wasn't working, and the shower drainage was either clogged or something was wrong. But other than that my rooms view was good, and rooms are decently cheap.

Location is very convenient. Walking distance to several eating place and attractions. Rooms are clean, modern design and new. However, during my stay there on 21/7/2018 & 22/7/2018 the toilet were clogged, TV had some problem and the phone was not working. However, the maintenance team was quick to come and fix them. Breakfast was basic and included in my booking. Overall, I like it and would come and stay again. On the 2nd. Day breakfast was at the multi-purpose room on level R… Quite fully occupied and we were asked to go to a table at the corner… But I found a staff sleeping there …

No car parking. 15 minutes walking distance from hotel. Need to cross 3 lines main street. To dangerous… nothing special.

The hotel is nice, staff friendly, the security is friendly. Parking is limited so better come early. The best thing is it’s near to many food attractions.

A very affordable room with HD on-demand movie channel, free Wi-Fi and shuttle bus. Sadly it was let down by a wonky bed, no batteries in the room safe, unclean bathroom and coffee mugs and the McDonald’s breakfast that was cold (as well as reception constantly asking if they would bring it to the room or not). For the low price, I shouldn’t really complain, with the warning that hotels are pretty much few and far between in Ipoh.

Great location, very near the old part of town. New, clean rooms. Amenities ok. Service friendly and helpful. Only setback is the underground parking which is very limited and hotel guests have to park at a school compound (St Micheal's)

Surprisingly its pretty decent, the fittings and everything looks new. Comfortable, clean and simple. However, you need to ask for replacement of the kettle in the room if it is not working. The soap dispenser also does not works properly. Their basement parking is very limited. Thus I have to drop off my passengers first by the entrance and drive slightly further to another parking lot which is about 50m away. The breakfast however is not really recommended. They have friend noodles, fried rice and white bread for toast. Drinks they have coffee, tea and cordial drinks. Oh and very basic cereal if you fancy.

The best in term of room entertainment. The smart TV is programmed with latest movies. Sit back and relax while binge watch your preferred movie.

Hotel is located right at a corner. Parking is limited. Accessibilty to western n local food can be found nearby especially during the daytime. Evening onwards only western food can be found.

Very poor parking space. Receptionist may be too slow to handle check out or day extension. Room interior is ok and spacious. Location is near the field area (if you are into sport). Access card is good for security purpose. TV internal movie is unlimited. Spent 3D2N. Struggling to find parking space nearby and customers were fighting to find one. Spoilt the holiday mood. The basement parking (about 12 lot) is just unable to cope with their so called 200s room. Parking nearby road is risky. Either get summons or get hit by another car.

Nice room. Good A/C. But TV has only Malay Channels & Western Movies. No Western News or Entertainment. No bedside muted lights, just one glaring central light. Good shower but only cold water on washbasin. Overall a good deal for the roomrate and friendly staff.

Arrived there an hour earlier than the check in time. The staff was friendly and we were greeted with a smile. The environment was clean and the rooms were great. Even though it was pretty cheap the rooms were well equiped with a mini fridge, safety box, iron board and iron, electric kettle, TV and hair dryer. I was pleased with my stay here and would definitely return.

True to its motto of smart, clean and simple. The room and bath were clean. It's conveniently located. The selection of free movies available was impressive. Lacks facilities but excellent choice for those just looking for a place to sleep.

Al thought has Double-Decker car park, but management need to consider more customers are using MPV and SUV. 2. Breakfast need to be improved. 3. Smelly in toilet.

Hotel is very new, so live very comfortable, is the parking is a bit small. The check-in process is time consuming.

Pleasant experience given the budget for the hotel is raesonable. Just basic amenities, and would recommend for those who are budget conscious. Rooms are clean, and it is in the city centre. The hot water dispenser on 12 floor, so I had to go down the 11 floor. Would also recommend those who like me prefer to stay in the room and do your work!

Good customer service. However, the room's sound proof needs to be improved as we can hear neighbour's chattering and dragging of chairs. Suggestion to carpet the room floor and also improve the sound proof in the room. Apart from this, it was a wonderful stay.

Had our meeting at their function room, PA system and projector are in excellent condition as they are still new! Friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness of the hotel is good.

Location wise quite ideal and very conveniently located in the heart of town. Free shuttle service covers a good selection of places of interest. Loses a star because of some stains on bedsheets but otherwise a pleasant stay. Rooms are relatively spacious, toilet is clean and modern. Parking is not a problem and should you need the valet service, it's free. Book online for best rates and discounts.

Checking process was really slow during last holiday. It takes almost half an hour for checking each room. That was my first time in my life seeing long queue in hotel for checking in. I suppose to give lower rating because the staff told me that my superior room (which I reserved on May) is not available and been forced by changing to standard room. The reason I give 3 stars because the manager appeared and handled this issue professionally. Regarding the room condition, the bed is comfortable and water heater is easy to control. The bad side is no divider between the room and the washroom.

Sometimes a hotel its not just about rooms and the food. Having said that, ive just checked in and wasnt able to provide any comments on the breakfast part. But thus far, ive got to say im very happy with the service provided by the receptionist Mr Mohan and Operational Manager Mr Kalai. Due to some misleading pictures and info provided in agoda booking sites, our room didnt turn out the way we thought it will be. … But a short conversation with Mr Kalai solves all our problem within a minute or 2. No matter how well the room and the food is, if we are being serve badly the moment we get here, what is the point.? We are paying for it. Mr Kalai shows us that it is possible to get a 5 stars hotel's services and greetings the moment you step in. 2 thumbs up for Mr Kalai and Mr Mohan for the great hospitality shown to us. Will defenitely come back for our next trip to Ipoh.

There are a few things which I like about this hotel. First of all, the room Wi-Fi was fast and stable. The staff, particularly the security guards, were attentive and helpful. The security guards helped the guests with parking. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a cycling competition and one of the security guard helped us carry our bicycles to our room. The room that we stayed in was small, but it was cozy and comfortable. There's complimentary coffee, tea and drinking water and bathroom amenities. However, the walls of this hotel were too thin and it can be disturbing if other guests are loud. Parking was also limited. Moreover, the breakfast buffet served mostly carbohydrates. I wish they would serve protein. They should serve eggs at the very least.

The place it self is really nice, and clean! But the atmosphere is really not good, a lot of Asians that don't want to have anything to do with western backpackers. But if there is more than one of u, go for it!

Overcrowded parking facilities. Would not have stayed if we knew the conditions of parking (ie mechanical/highly limited (including the so called back up parking space) ). To be fair, the room is decent and location is good. The linen had some stains but was replaced upon request.

Hotel is new. The family room for 4pax is very spacious comes with big bathroom and two big queen size beds. Great location in the city centre. Awesome & great value!

Location is good if you want to explore the old town. However the town become very quite when shops closed at around 5pm. Hotel provided selection of free movies in the room for evening entertainment. This hotel has no facilities. Room is very basic. We can smelll cigarette smell in our quad room in 2nd flr eventhough it was in non smoking floor. The headboard of our beds had a layer of dust on them. There were noticeable stains on 2 of the blankets. They have 2 in 1 shower gel in the shower room but you have to bring your own toothbrush n tooth paste.

Location is very convenient for tourists. Places of interest are within walking distance. Guests can start the day by running around Padang Ipoh before adjoining to breakfast.

Only room is satisfied. Carpark not enough, customer need to park illegally at the road side. Breakfast is a joke for 3 Star hotel. Recommend to get breakfast elsewhere.

We spent two nights in Ipoh Cititel. The location was great close to city center and there is free shuttle going to different touristic points in the city with different schedules. The room was clean and big enough for two people with all the complimentary needs like coffee, soup, cabinet. The breakfast restaurant has good views and the food is basic with cereals, nasi lemak, fried noodles, watermelon, juice, milk, coffee and bread. The staff was very friendly, I got surprised that they didn´t have termometer or any pill to take but they indicated to me where to buy.

Plus points — Clean because it's a relatively new hotel. Location is good as it's close to eating places. The not so good things about this place — Front Desk staff employees aren't as welcoming & friendly to customers as those you will meet at other hotels. They don't greet customers nor do they smile at them. Parking is a big problem as the space is just too limited. The breakfast buffet spread & quality of food are so-so but I won't harp too much about these given their room rate of RM130+. Cititel should think about retraining their staff on good customer service & think about a long-term solution to their parking problem.

Stayed here during festive season. So, it's a bit pricey considering it that the room was only good for 2 pax with small luggage, no breakfast, and no other facilities. Parking is limited. But it's near to tourist spots and easy to look for food.

Worst ever parking. Not enough parking. Unfriendly staff.

The parking is very limited. The staffs were stupid, I've booked for 2 nights stay and they gave me keycards with one day access. The staffs are sour looking face, you won't feel welcomed at all. The room looks cozy but the bed were squeaking but the room is clean and tidy.

Comfy place to live if you're travelling light or in small group. Reasonably priced. Nice eateries located nearby as well, which are all a walking distance away. Wi-Fi available.

Average is still ok. The parking space here is limited and the receptionist not friendly.

If you travel with a car and it is holiday season, don't book this hotel. The parking is very limited. The location of the main entrance is right after a turn so it is very dangerous and inconvenient to unload/unload your passengers. The free shuttle bus service will take you to most POIs in the city but there are only 4 trips per day. Room is clean with shared ironing board and water dispenser.

The hotel is very new thus facilities are all in good working condition. There are some coffee shop near by but no convenience shop around. A Muslim friend of mine find it quite difficult to look for halal food. And other than taxi, there seems to be no public bus moving around this area.

Smelly lobby as there's a cafe beside it grilling food, my clothes smells like I'd just done cooking after a brief stay at the lobby.
