Very good in general. Only thing is that, at least our room (private room double bed w/ shared bathroom) was extremely noisy,, you could especially hear the traffic from the road like you would have been sleeping on it. So bring earplugs if you're gonna stay here!

The receptionist /owner said: (quote) "You are staying in a dormitory. If you want to have a room which does not smell like mold you should book a five star hotel" This was the worst hostel I've stayed in in 6 months of traveling! AC was spitting water onto your bed. Smelly room with old brownish pillows which were just in a white cover. Breakfast was basic but with rotten bad tasting fruits. Do yourself a favor and pay 1€ more to check-in in a decent place. Thank god I only booked 2 nights in this miserable place. I've met more respectful owners in a dormitory for 1€/night in India. The owner was treating me as a guest/customer in the most disrespectful way and was touching my belongings and throwing them onto another place. Never go to this hostel!

Not bad! Situated in a good location. It has many dormatory rooms for the tourists. They have the pre-booking facilities. But it required bank details if payment method is by card and booking confirmation is done in online. Their breakfast doesn't charge any additional cost and the food is ok! It's main advantage is it's located at the heart of the famous traditional city of Georgetown!

Great beds and pillows. There is a movie area with beanbags and hundreds of movies including new releases. Rooms are quiet with good air conditioning. Breakfast is toast and mixed fruits.

Nice hostel, good showers! Breakfast with toast and some fruit. Room is okay but noisy!

Private rooms are nice but dorms are like a sarcofaghus. Breakfast is really, really basic. The best thing is its location.

The hostel is very dirty. The bathrooms don't walk, you can't throw the cistern, they don't have light.
The reception is very bad, they don't know anything about Penang, you ask them where to go or what to do and they send you to search the Internet. Breakfast is very scarce, put on once things and do not repose if you get to breakfast 30 minutes after they served and there is nothing left. The pictures have nothing to do with the place. I don't recommend it especially for the dirty. I went to the bathroom to a restaurant because it was so disgusting to go to that.

BEDBUGS! I'm deeply impressed how offensive and insulting staff can be. I couldn't recommend this place less. We ended up sleeping on the floor of the reception because they didn't provide us with another room nor cared about the bed bug situation. In all my years of travelling I've never been treated like that before. Don't go there!

Owner was very helpful when the need was high. The bed and shower were ok. We were not notified when they sprayed against bed-bugs in another room. Our room filled up with a horrible chemical smell the whole and night. I needed to learn about this chemical poisoning through reviews of others. I'm not pleased at all with that. Breakfast was simple jam, butter, toast, coffee or tea, and pieces of 2 kinds of fruits. Wi-Fi was slow. Vey difficult to make online calls.

Beds are comfy; good location to explore georgetown,. Wifi could be a bit slow. Love the fruits for breakfast. Staff is helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are very clean. I have stayed here twice and if I have to return to penang will stay here again.

Unforgettable. We come to the reception ask the price that appeard to be more expensive than booking we said ok we will book through booking the reception said ok and highered the price on booking " he has all the right to" but it is very rude and he started lecturing about checking price before booking with a very rude attitude. This is very very very rude. Specially that we are backpackers with heavy bag. It is a hotel after all there should be some kind of customer service. Please dont go to a place that doesnt treat customers right it is like supporting these acts.

The AC too cold for small room, cannot reduce the wheather due to they use central AC. But the property inside the room is good.

This Hotel is a secret gem :) it's very nice and everyone is so helpful. You will get really good recommendations for local restaurants. Our favorite food were Indien and Chinese! YUMMI I went there with my boyfriend and it was perfectly located in George Town. You can reach everything by foot. The Aircon in the rooms are really helpful to cool down. Especially when it's 34° hot outside ^^

Comfy enough beds, small communal area where you can hang out, breakfast served but sometimes very late. Open 24/7 which is helpful if you arrive after midnight. OK showers.

A nice place to sleep and know more people around the world. Just near the nasi kandar beratur kapitan keling.

The ceilings were small, covered only the legs, in addition they were crackful! Unfortunately, it wasn't really clean either. The location is good, the staff friendly.

Amazing hospitality, staff go above and beyond, nothing is too much when asking for any information, their knowledge is superb, many thanks for a wonderful stay.

The facilities are okay. Can't expect more for the price per night it's very reasonable. The real reason I keep coming back here is, Kamran. The hardworking, super entertaining receptionist. He is so welcoming and hospitable, he just manages to put you in a great mood everyday. He goes out of his way to help you. I booked me Grab cars to take me to the Thai Consulate, I watched him come in early just because he promised a guest early breakfast. He took me on food tours in George Town. Everyday he would bring some new interesting food I've never tried. I'd stay here everytime and I would would recommend you to meet Kamran. He is so helpful and energetic I've made a lifelong friend. Thanks Red Inn Court and Kamran for making my visa trips so memorable.

Staff friendly, Kamran on the desk is very entertaining, cheap but brilliant value for money, great facilities, amazing location, good breakfast of fruit and French toast (even when a fellow traveller has about 14 slices of watermelon), beds comfy, air con. Can't fault it. Thanks for a friendly stay.

It is comfortable for those who don't mind about privacy. Because everything is shared. But it is cool for those who wants to meet new friends!

Good place to stay. The room are nice and comfy, though the walls are pretty thin. It was nice that when we arrived, early in the morning, we could sleep on fatboys in the ground floor before our rooms were available. There's also free drinkable water and a nice breakfast. Just remember to get up early because if you go there in the last minute of breakfast, there's nothing anymore.

Stinky hotel, doubt that this hotel is infested with bed bug before.

This place is old but well maintained. It has an antic look which I liked. Good for youngsters and backpackers. Its close to the city and you can take the bus numbered 101 right from the signal which is a min walk from the hotel to get around. It goes right up to batu ferrangi where most of the tourist attractions are located. The breakfast is very basic and the Wi-Fi gave a bit of a problem.

Best location and price, in the middle of georgetown so you can easily catch interesting places only by walking, near with CAT (free) shelter bus.

Red Inn Court is conveniently located in Georgetown, close by to many attractions within walking distance (the graffiti art, Little India, and more). The beds are comfortable and the rooms have AC, and the communal bathroom areas are clean and a good size. The showers are pretty cool, with extra spray heads, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful during the whole stay (2 nights). I would be happy stay here again.

Aweful service. Sold our room away, allowed guests to shower and make lots of noise at 2am, breakfast is just toast despite statements to the contrary, service is poor with rude and unhelpful staff. Go elsewhere.

Location is perfect! It's within Unesco heritage site. The guesthouse is excellent. Staff are well trained, very helpful, informative, friendly. All in all, the best guesthouse in Georgetown for a reasonable price.
