Clean rooms & quiet environment with convenient location.

Good hotel but not so strategic location cause only accessible by walking from bus stop and grabcar.

The facilities itself actually call for a 3 star but the price worth brings it up to 4

One of the best hotel that i've stayed in Penang. It is my first experienced here. Very recommended. Here is some photos from me.

Nice rooms, quiet location. Free and plenty parking for hotel guests. Quite a lot of shops around the corner but not too much food to find around it. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nothing exceptional. No major problems. Bedsheets often display remnants of previous guests.

The best part of this hotel is they provide balcony. It's cheap if you booked from online booking platform. There's stain on the bedsheets, I think there's dust mites on the bed as I'm getting itchy during sleeping. Not provide any toothbrush and disposable slipper. Not air-conditioning corridor.

The room is very smelly, no hair dryer, bed and pillow are moldy, the night suspected to be strange insects bite, cold air is not open too hot, open to sleep. There is nothing to eat for breakfast, coffee is difficult to drink, only a poached egg.

Nice place but no nice view.

Budget accommodation, but everything works, but my room aircond wasnt working well and was a bit noisy.

So so, but in central of Butterworth town.

Clean hotel and cheerful, helpful staff. Pleasant stay for sure. The food in the cafe is excellent. Compliments to the chef and staff! We enjoyed all the ala carte dinners as well as the breakfast for 4 days. The only thing that was not satisfactory was the entry card which did not work most of the time and this was rather iritating. Will stay here again, definitely.

Good for business travelling.

Room is worth with the price. Overall cleanliness and facilities is acceptable. Just the in house breakfast still need to improve.

Clean and good value for money.

Made a phone booking 2 weeks before my visit. I did ask if I need to make payment now. The staff explained that not necessary I have block the date for you and took down my particulars you (me) just have to check in after 2pm. Till the very day of my visit to Penang I did not receive any call from the De Garden Hotel to find out where am I or did I make it to Penang. Apperently I was so lucky not hoping on this hotel only I got a wonderful apartment resort at Batu Ferenggi which is more cheaper then De Garden.

If you have children, be warned. This hotel has acceptable standards and is good overall. But if you have children, the cost of washing a stained sheet is more expensive than the room. We stayed in the family room and one of the bedsheets had stains from a curry sauce. The hotel policy was to charge RM350 or approximately US$100 for replacement of the sheet. And the room rate is less than US$100 per night! Be warned.
