The staffs are very helpful, friendly. The food is delicious with lot of choices. But the rate is bit overrated.

Staff sera and muhamad are very good and helpful, hotel very clean and nice sea view.

I would like to recommend this hotel. The food is good, the rooms are clean and always well organized and the hotel staff is always happy to help and give everything you ask for.

Stayed here few times and the service is always excellent. Breakfast buffet was 10/10, there’s lots of food choices available + amazing view of the beach. Staff were friendly and always ready to assist us.

The hotel is very nice, love the room very comfortable breakfast was very nice but they didnt had much foods just bread, etc design is lovable cozy and looks like a place full of comfort ovarall 9/10

Always love to come back to Hyatt even though for a short span. Quiet nice 5 stars hotel with plenty of amenities for the patrons. We get a good gnd floor room sea facing and just beside the swimming pool. Excellent location and TQ Hyatt.

Staff poor knowledge. Hotel unable manage crowd. Restaurant food not up to hotel standard. Only good thing is location only. 5 star rating is overrated.

Bad service for 5 stars hotels and the price paid. Staff didnt call back to inform the room is ready. Waited for 37mins just to check in. Luckily the room I got is clean. Phew. What a day.

Beautiful beach for family to have great fun and two great pools. Had the ground floor rooms for the family and we practically had our doors open and spent a lot of time at the poolside and garden. Sunrise views are spectacular ☀️🌈 The setback was Hotel is understaffed so check in was delayed. Single beds could be changed to 4ft size would make it more uptodate. Otherwise room was good.

Nice location and good breakfast. Service is pathetic with mostly untrained staff. Dinner service extremely slow and our kids had to wait 40 mins for a pizza when there were barely any patrons. Our room was poorly cleaned as well. They are just lucky that there is no alternative to Hyatt.

Really enjoyed ourselves during our stay at Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort. Love the room on the ground floor. Easy access to the beach which was right infront of us. Starbucks, fast food chains & some cafes are also conveniently located just within 5-8min walk away. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those seeking for a place away from the city and just relax. Great place for catch sunrise too!

Beautiful view from sea view room. Poor room cleaning, dirty bathroom, dusty rooms with a lots of stains on the walls. Rooms are outdated and far from 5 stars! Excellent breakfast. Changing rooms in gym dirty, showers also and no shower gel an shampoo available. Beach not well maintained. Price/ performance ratio is not given…

Ridiculous how a family friendly beach resort only allows check-in after 4pm. First time we have encountered this change of time. Most likely our last stay here if this doesn’t change.

My view from room 1202. In my opinion, check in time at 3pm will be great instead of 4pm. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

My worst experience ever! Perception about HAYAT has totally changed after the visit. For a hotel, u look for a CLEANLINESS even rooms are smaller. Bathroom was surely wasn’t wiped up (floor). When next day asked the room service person to change the bed sheet (it had gone stained) first, he refused then my husband asked him that shall I report this (after 3 times) then they changed. I think their staff isn’t trained properly or there is no check on them!
For sea, though it’s a resort but not with a private beach so no life guard on beach. Even in swimming pool, written in bigger words NO LIFE GUARD. Hence, swim at ur own risk specially with kids. They are charging money for their location and nothing else! For breakfast, it’s a rush definitely after 8:30 as their restaurant space is smaller as compared to their number of rooms. On peak season, it’s really crowded! I don’t recommend it! My kids were really disappointed as we came From Mangala resort (after spending 2 days there and it shows why it has been ranked number 2 resort in Malaysia) they passed the days like a punishment! Hence a v bad experience!

From the moment I checked in it was obvious that the staff were looking out to make my experience a lasting one. A new property to the Hyatt regency brand; however, I have not been disappointed. Very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The buffet breakfast was amazing while sitting meters from the ocean shoreline. A tropical paradise!

The very nice place with beautiful scenery to rest easy. Good services, staffs all very pleasant and friendly. The room clean but I love the room facing seaview.

Great hotel and staff. Lots of complimentary stuff available in the rooms (all items from the minibar) etc. Rooms are modernly equipped with USB ports as the hotel has been recently refurbished. Has two swimming pools overlooking the beach, very nice for morning swims but less in the afternoon period where there is close to no shade (the pool water gets hot). The sea water in the evening is a much better place to cool down. Area around the hotel is convenient (7-11 accessible from the beach, McDonald's close by) for those who want access to food at a lower price.

Just renovated. Nice interiors design for rooms. There are two pools which are great to avoid crowded situation. Friendly staff, always glad to help. One thing I hope can improve is thi hotel gym. Should choose another room with sea views so guest can exercise while enjoying the view. For now the gym is situated in a dungeon-look room.

Excellent service, great facilities. Newly reopened in Aug 2018 and they have two nice swimming pools, a fantastic gym and sauna room. Room service is great. Great for a getaway and beach holiday. Price is however a little high, but value is worth.

Hyatt is back with new layouts, paint, furniture and tiles after couple of years off for big renovation. Hyatt Regency looks awesome now. Staff is very helpful and well trained. The first room service staffs on the 9th of August (a lady and a gentlemen) cleaned our room very well and neat. Very polite and smiley. We would like to request only one thing, please provide news papers at least in the front office/lobby area to keep us updated on what’s happening locally and abroad. Because when we travel we switch off all our mobiles and gadgets.

I've check-in for two rooms at the reception at 2:30 p. M. Today. The check-in time is at 2:00 p. M. Only one room is ready at 3:00 p. M. And I am waiting for the other room to be ready.

Stayed here for 2 nights, a week before their official opening after extensive renovation. Staffs were kind and helpful. Spa facilities not yet opened. No room service after 11pm. But the location is superb. Great for short family beach vacation.

Its getting less maintained as it is not a popular destination anymore for people to have a relaxing time with the nearby beach has become popular with the locals since the rise of all of the franchises st the beach.

Still under renovation as of January 2018. Check out soon within mid-end of the year for reopening. Beautiful view on Kuantan's urban beach with mild stretch of sea side. The resort's beachfront is quite secluded, seperated from the crowd space to the left side of the beach. Known to have great facilities including salty pool. Rooms previously were quiet spacious, comfortable and clean. Dining there were memorable too. Good place for functions as well.

I have been to this resort few times and I love it so much. There two pools by the beach and a bar inside one of them which makes it very convenient. I would recommend it to everyone.

One of the best along the east coast of Malaysia — great locations, beach, views and services… the buildings and rooms however are very dated and lack of upkeep — a major upgrades are long over-due. I eagerly look forward to return to the post-renovation resort soon, in 2017, hopefully!

Such an amazing time here. I spent about a month here and love every moment from the amazing food to the beautiful beach front scenery to even the fruit stealing monkeys. Highly recommend this place for any visitor to Malaysia.

Needs a refresh. The sea breeze is absolutely amazing. Beer is expensive.

I like the sandy beach&my son likes swimming pool there. But the room is quite small&the cleanliness should be improved. My husband enjoy the beach scenery&the location is great because its near pantai telok chempedak which is tourist attraction. We always stay here whenever we come for a short vacation.

My favourite getaway in Malaysia. Convenient enough to be near amenities and nice enough to be away from it all. Food in the hotel is average at best but there are a lot of restaurants around. The beach is clean and quiet!

I called 3 times to finalize booking and bad customer service they give a different price every time you call.

A pleasant stay, away from the hustle of busy city life. The beach is good, although it got pretty hot at around noon. Do expect some crowd during weekends. Also try out the steamed fish at a restaurant called 'Tree Under' located right next to the KFC near the hotel.

Enjoy nature with peace of mind and complete relaxation nothing more than Hyatt.

Nice but old hotel. Room was cheap but nice view of ocean. Furnitures in the room was old but it's cheap for hyatt standard though it's in kuantan Malaysia Staff are quite nice. Though told us there was buffet dinner but it was quiet so restaurant said no buffet dinner. The restaurants are so quiet especially the one with the hut. They charged outrages price. Thus you might see 1 tablet occupied sine nights. 2x swimming pools are very nice. I would not swim in the sea as most beaches in Malaysia with sewage running into the sea at one end. Absolutely disgusting from stupid Malaysia government system ruin the environment. I don't know why they have the idea to have campaign eco tourism as the government have no idea how to keep and maintain the country clean. Shame on you as it was a nice country and you have ruined it for years.

Hotel beach was nice and somehow clean. The old little ship cafe was nice. Live music at cafe was terrible. Food quality was good and stuffs were friendly like all other Malaysians.

Ok, HYATT is the best resort to stay in Kuantan. I just love the way they locate the hotel near the beaches.

Very well located between the beach and the forest. So nice to see colonies of squirrels on your balcony or in the coconuts trees! However, large disapointment with the loud techno music from the club of the resort until 3:00am. Rooms are nice with good furniture, despite not being very recent. Cleanliness is ok but could be better.

Old resort but placed in the best spot Kuantan has to offer. The Sampan is a bar built within a reclaimed Vietnamese refugee boat and had some of the best sea views around. The hotel has an in house club called Chukka that has live performances most nights. Its not really something you would want to experience beyond half an hour. The seaside restaurant Kampung has a quiet balmy feel and overlooks the hill jutting into the Teluk Chempedak beach which is also the tourist spot in Kuantan. You could take a walk on the wooden bridge that leads to the hill to arrive a quaint sandy beach. Step out of the Hyatt and the area is dotted with pubs, restaurants, convenience stores and international fast food joints. The pubs suck so steer clear. Oh and there isn't single ATM for miles so make sure you're carrying enough cash.

Beach is beautiful. Hotel needs renovation. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is good too. The char kway teow and satay is yummmy! ^^.

To be honest, you would not stay here for the quality of room facilities, more likely the location and the view if you choose a seaview room, although for the light sleeper the rolling pounding ocean could keep you awake at night. The ceiling looks like someone has sprayed a can of coke on it! The aircon vent is black and grimy. Don't look to closely at the standard of cleaning as you will find hairs that are not yours! Move the bed and who knows what you might discover! Opening and closing the balcony door is quite hard to do quietly and not bang it one way or the other. Great swimming pool facilities, the gym is a bit dated but passes, restaurants and bars are ok and reasonably priced. Some of the rooms have interconnecting doors, (ours did) so if here is a family next door with young children, you just have to hope they go to sleep quickly! Overall service is welcoming and hospitable. But if you want a decent coffee, this is not the place to get it. Value for money? Does it deserve the HYATT brand if you are familiar with staying at other HYATT Regency properties? Maybe we are too forgiving.
