One of the best hotels in Melaka. We almost always revisit this hotel due to its friendly front office team, clean and spacious rooms and prompt room service. Noted they now only accept cashless payments. There is money changer available behind Hatten Hotel (exit near Sebungkus cafe and 7-Eleven, turn right you will see signage in malay Pengurup Wang). There is a counter inside the small hotel. Money changer close at 9pm daily. Also, many retail outlets directly next to the mall has ceased operations. But its okay there are plenty to shop around that area.

We had a stay here during September school holiday. The location is good, but the washroom in the room is not well taken care. The toilet walls and floor are kind of dirty, black stains not being clean. The cups in the room are dirty too. The breakfast dining area, also unpleasant, stains on the sofa seat, looks disgusting. i booked this hotel because seeing a lot positive review on Agoda. But our recent stay in this hotel is not a good one.

I have just spent my weekend at Hatten Hotel and it was a terrible experience I have with the hotel. 1. A rundown hotel with facilities not well maintained 2. Cup is not clean with leftover coffee from the previous guest 3. Table is not clean and there is cockroach in my room! 4. Bathroom and bedsheet are dirty 5. No hair dryer in the room I have to say the hotel staff is helpful but overall is not worth for paying. What a “5-stars hotel” in Melaka.

A disappointing stay at a hotel of our choice in the past. When we checked in on the first day, there was potato chip crumbs around the room. Clearly, it was not cleaned at all as it is is almost impossible to miss out if you vacuum the floor Just 5 mins into check in, we stood and monitored the staff coming in vacuuming in front of us. After that, the safe was locked which required the staff to unlock for us. The ironing board was torn. On 2nd day, when we returned at 4 pm++, the room was not cleaned. Again I withnsessed the staff coming in cleaning the bed in front of my eyes. Omg. What a disappointment. Don't think we will ever return anytime soon. However, the housekeeping staff was kind and responded immediately when we called for help.

It was a great hotel. But now it’s totally run down! Bad service, room is dirty and with a weird smell. No towels provided and a used towel was hung behind the toilet door. no toilet mat. Too dangerous cos will be slippery! Dirty bathroom with stains. Window curtains s are spoiled even changed to another room! NO STAR FOR THIS HOTEL! This is the last time coming to this hotel! Super poor hotel management!

The steak was superb. And having a very good sleep each time check in there.

1) Booked junior suite on promotion but room was terrible 2) Front door did not vaccum 3) Toilet ceiling leaking 4) TV, phone & air cond not working properly 5) Room smelly & musky 6) Curtain dirty 7) Staff & manager were courteous to change to another room immediately Pls improve the upkeep of your rooms condition or else u will loose clients to other hotels nearby.

Swimming pool very huge. But the floor near pool very slippery. My doughter lying down on the floor direct into pool. Hope management can do some things about it.

Poor service and filthy condition. Current stay — Room 2037, Premier Suites. When we checked in, we were told that we have been given a room upgrade. Little were we prepared for nasty surprises. The console table in the room were dirty and my wife ended up using our own wipes to clean the table. Worse even the toilet bowl was not flushed and vanity basin were stained. Bed sheets and pillow sheets had lipstick marks and grey stains, probably from the previous hotel guest who lived in this room. If that was not enough, we even found strands of hairs under the sheet. When called up the reception, we received a call from the Duty Manager Zikri. Tone of voice is completely off, he even had the audacity to tell me that the hotel has done us a favour by giving a courtesy upgrade. Sounded more like they did not have enough staff to clean up the messes from stays of previous guest, so they decided to let us stay in a used room, just so they don’t have to clean up the room. How convenient? Raised the matter, a friendly staff by the name Lili attended. Changed the sheets and replenished the towels but then we found the sheets were torn at the edges. This hotel is nowhere close to a 5 star, straight low grade budget inn with a huge price tag.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for a night and I definitely had the worst experience. I approached the office manager about my concerns and the way she handled the situation was ENTIRELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Firstly, I’ve told her about my room as it wasn’t as shown in the picture and she said “you can use your imagination and picture the room based on how the room was called”, she as a “office manager” should not give this type of response instead she should say how on she can improve on her side. In other words she practically called me “dumb”. Next, during the entire conversation she did not sat me down and have this conversation but was standing the entire time. Thirdly, I’ve told her that I want a feedback from her after I’ve complained and she asked me “what type of feedback do you want? ” I am truly and very disappointed with this whole experience.

Large suites, family friendly and good service.

The hotel room is nice and comfortable, good location. But surprisingly for a 5 star hotel, your staff is very rude. Your security guards, front desk, housekeeping. All of your staff are rude and not once did they say thank you and your tone is so rude and unprofessional. Your front desk employees also can’t speak English, which is surprising for a hotel, and they become irritated and rude when guests speak English.
The hotel industry is suffering due to covid so you can’t afford to be rude to your guests. It’s a very bad impression of this hotel. Please improve.

Fantastic customer services, when we checked in we had certain issues with our Room and the manager on duty Mr Balasubramani Naidu took the initiative to resolve the matter along with Front office manager Miss Jessic Chang. Good job hatten and great staff with hospitality. Will definitely consider Hatten as my first choice hotel each time I visit Mallaca.

Me & hubby had a wonderful experience in Hatten Hotel Melaka. Its very convenience for us. Its just like all in one place. The staff are friendly and polite. I would only like to feedback on some issues. I found out the room easily get dusty, the drinking glasses provided in the room were not clean and the fridge is not working. Abt the breakfast buffet may be the hottel can add on some malay traditional kuih aside with all the western pastries. Overall ratings in terms of service & convenience is excellent, for sure we will come back again & hatten will be our choice❤

The hotel was good. There was everything. Near malls. Different kind of buffet for breakfast. The rooms aren't bad at all. It was totally nice and beds were comfy. The only con is the lift. Its a bit slow but its alright. Will come back again to this hotel.

My family and I have stayed at Hatten for years and when it first started it was fantastic. Great service, clean rooms and wonderful amenities. Upon our recent trips over the last two weeks, we found that standards have dropped.
The check in timing was very slow. The elevators to anywhere in the building was slow and becomes really bad during peak hour like breakfast times.
The dining area needs to be maintained with some wall touch ups and furniture looks run down. The pool steam room and bathroom is awful now. A bad stench and it’s as dirty as a public neighourhood pool. It was amazing before. The rooms standard have dropped. Toilets are now mouldy and toilet amenities are so minimal these days. We had toothbrushes and combs etc. These days it’s one tube of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, we don’t even have a face or hand towel, just the bath towel and floor rug. I am underwhelmed to say the least and will
Probably look for another place to patronise with my family when I return next. I wish it wasn’t like that, but this hotel is not well maintained. Disappointed guest and his family.

Great customer service, strategic location, room cleanliness and spacious room. The only setback is the lift. The waiting time was a bit longer than expected. Perhaps Hatten could segregate the lift into High Floors and Low Floors, and that would ease the lift traffic. Overall, I had great experience staying 3d2n at Hatten Hotel, and would definitely recommend to my friends visiting Malacca, one of the UNESCO city.

We enjoyed both our nights at the Hatten Hotel very much. Booked a junior suite but was upgraded to a premier without even asking. The suite was very comfortable & we found the little chocs left in our room in the evening a nice touch. The hotel is very conveniently located & well-connected to the malls, close enough to be within walking distance to Jonker Street & the vibrant weekend nightlife. Definitely worth repeat visits. Keep it up, Hatten!

Was here for a conference. Excellent room, great spread of food, and attentive service all round! My only issue was the hotel's general phone line prior to the stay. It was really difficult to get through, rarely would it be picked up, which was baffling. If this was improved, I'd give Hatten Hotel 5 stars!

Pleasant hotel room, nice swimming pool and decent buffet. Link to various shops and walking distance to good places to eat in Melaka. Try out their H Spa, great service so far. The only drawback I think at the moment is the lifts that do take a long time to transport you from one floor to another, but fret not, they are revamping their lift system. Once this is fixed, this place would be fantastic place to stay.

The initial room that we were given had an unpleasant odour lingering on but when we valle the front desk they took care of this very professionally. Mr Yang the duty manager was so helpful. He personally came to show us another room. We took it. The location is very central. Food is excellent and an amazing pool.

Strategically located in the heart of the city and within the vicinity of historical places like A'Famosa and Saint Paul Church. The hotel room is clean and spacious. However, the waiting time for elevators can be a little too long and can be further improved. There are ramps available for wheelchairs and strollers. The hotel staffs are courteous and friendly.

I have stayed on 14/07/18 for one night. The night before I made a reservation through Hatten Hotel's website using Wi-Fi and as the connection was poor, the transaction did not went through. I did not receive any confirmation letter from the hotel too. And so, I called the hotel directly and book a room. Today when I received my credit card bill, I was charged double. I have tried to call in and hotel claim that internet problem is not their problem. I totally understand tha…t hotel is not responsible for the poor reception of Wi-Fi. The question is, I did not receive any confirmation letter too. If hotel can push the problem back to me, I can do that too. The question here is to solve the problem and not pushing the fault. Since I have stayed there with double reservation, why can't the hotel refund me out of good will? I sincerely hope that the hotel can look into this matter can give me a good answer. Manager in charge is supposed to call me but I have yet to receive any call back.

Nice location, with several malls nearby that is within 5 minutes walk. Room is spacious and comfortable. The service staff were approachable and friendly. My only complaint is that the fridge in the room was not working.

Hotel is located within walking distance to shopping malls. The rooms are well decorated and service staff are nice. Good to stay if you want to walk to jonker street and visit are attractions nearby.

The services were good, but the accessibility to floor are largely influenced by priority of first come first serve. The stairs are not obvious, and thus a quick 1 floor movement is limited to the lift. However the staff were friendly and the rooms were done well.

I have check in 2 to 3 times per year at Hatten Hotel Melaka. According to my experience… reasonable price… Love the view, pool side and sauna room for customers… l have wonderful memory during my holiday at Hatten Hotel Melaka…

A popular hotel amongst Asians with full occupancy especially on weekends and public holidays. The Rooms are descent in size and clean but carpets could do with a good shampoo. Found out the Hatten Hotel is 10 years young. Close to most amenities and tourist sites. Buffet breakfast is included in your stay which is good value for money. I would return here next time in Malacca.

A very nice, clean and big Hotel. You primarily meet Chinese Tourists here. We stayed there for three Nights and were very satisfied. The Rooms are very spacious and clean, the value for money top. Due To the Size of the Hotel, a little the Ambience suffers at Breakfast, but this can hardly be changed and the Quality of the Food still very good.

I stayed here over a regular weekend (not a national holiday in Malaysia or Singapore etc, not during school holidays) — this hotel is like a meat market overrun by hundreds of people with a disproportionate amount of children. Checking in took 40 (! ) minutes. Just taking a lift up to my suite took me about 15 minutes waiting for multiple lifts, stopping at every floor and being extremely squashed — this occurred with every trip in a lift. I could hear children screaming and playing in the pool from my room with the windows closed — 8 flights up. I wanted to visit the spa for a massage etc but it was on floor 12 with the pool — the cacophony that greeted me when I exited the lifts on the floor quickly relieved me of that idea. On the plus side, the suite was as described, with clean bedding etc. The breakfast selection was good and the location was close to the old city and the shopping. If you are not a fan of children and noisy, hectic environments — avoid!

Spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast spread was good. Can be quite crowded during weekends. Location is very very good. There is the 'lift situation'. Slight inconvenience but not a deal breaker. They are aware and working on it.

My favourite hotel in Melaka. Their room is clean and comfortable with reasonable price. Although they are a 4 star hotel but their room quality is just like a 5 star hotel room. I have also tried their suite and it is fantastic. Most importantly they are at the heart of Melaka. Walking distance to the malls and possible to walk to Jonker Street.

Enjoyed the stay of this hotel very much as the room is spacious with many facilities are available to the guests. Walking distance to historical places and the malls are near. Comfy and clean environment. Friendly and helpful staffs. Great hotel to stay.

The hotel is situated in a good location within Melaka town, which is walking distance to major attractions. Check-in is a breeze and the room is huge. However the housekeeping could have done a better job in keeping the room cleaner. Tips: If your room comes with breakfast, do wake up early and go for it. Lots of local Malaysia dishes worth getting up early.

After a hard day exploring Melaka we decided to treat ourselves and recharge. We spent the afternoon in H-Spa getting pampered and felt absolutely rejuvenated by the end. This is not the massage parlours you find in the street but a premium product with qualified staff and excellent products. Afterwards with went up to level 22 to the bar and had a drink and a light snack and take in the beautiful view it Melaka city at sunset. I can't think of a better way to end a day at Melaka. The staff at the bar were professional, accommodating and very friendly.

Was upgraded to a better by a very courteous front desk lady. Helpful to all our questions. The buffet that we took at the hotel was good but not great. The services provided by waiters, waitress and even superiors at the restaurant were excellent. House keeping crews were all smiles and polite. Wonderful experience. Will return to the same hotel the next time in Melaka.

Location in the city center, convenient access, parking spaces a lot, from shopping places to the castle, historical relics area, the UNESCO Cultural and Historical monuments Reserve to walk to! It's very convenient to eat.

Went here two times attending a week courses. Very comfy room with uncompromised cleanliness. The staff who make up my room always fulfill my request for extra water bottles on the room mini bar. They serve very good and delicious foods during breakfast and lunch. So many option of meals provided to choose. Very satisfied stays here.

Very grand hotel. Was my second visit. The service is exceptional and consistent. Room is spacious and clean. Stayed in other neighbouring hotels but Hatten is probably the best in the area. I would suggest booking early during festive season, and hatten hotel will probably run out first. Definitely looking forward to going back soon!

Love the Junior Suite. Hotel is modern. Price is affordable. But here is the thing needs highlighting… 1. Elevator system must improve. Follow some international hotel as example 2. Room carpeting cleanliness must improve 3. Room is dusty 4. TV image quality needs to be sharper 5. Room 2171 water drainage slow 6. Bath towel has some yellow stain All in all is a great hotel to stay.

It's definitely an upscale hotel. Very classy. Surprisingly the rates are not expensive. If this is your first time in melaka, you can use the bicycles provided by the hotel to tour around this small town. Hotel is surrounded by huge shopping malls and tourists' spots. One last point, the overall food, and shopping stuff are very cheap all around.

The service is top notch. The breakfast can be improved with more variety. My only complain is the toilet floor architecture. There's always water puddle in the toilet. But for the price and the location of the hotel I would highly recommend it.

The first few times I stayed there it was pleasant. Rooms were big and spacious. But now, the rooms have a stench and it smells bad. Lifts are very slow too. I wouldn't recommend if you are going to stay more than 1 night. But overall its the most convenient hotel.

Superb service from the hotel staff. From the minute we stepped into the hotel, I can feel the hospitality the staff gave to myself and family. They took the smallest effort to ask me if I needed my daily papers, gave me a courtesy call to check if all is well & even gave me directions to where I want to travel. Not to mentioned they prepare a fruit platter and even gave me a welcome drink and daily tea snacks on their 22nd floor.

Good hotel that can't handle the amount of people that stays. The elevators are extremely slow and inneficient, there are queues most of the time, you can wait 5-10 minutes for the elevator to come and then another 5 minutes to go to your floor. There is queue in the breakfast. There is queue in reception. We had our bed sheets dirty and they needed to change them. Our TV wasn't working properly. One of the days they removed one of our towels. They give you complimentary bikes but there is just one, the other one they say it's booked by a guy who never returns it… The breakfast is excellent, but they tell you they close at 10:30 and at 10:15 all the food and drinks are removed so you can't eat anymore. I think it's a good hotel with good potential that is not being managed properly.

Location is excellent — smack right between 2 shopping centers. Stay in junior suit room, the rooms are very spacious. Service is top notch — In all my travels (l travel once every month due to work) I never encountered the hotel reception calling up room to room to check if everything is ok. Well done Hatten, keep it up!

Modern hotel design as compared to the many colonial styled hotels in Malacca. Rooms are spacious, bed was comfy. Nothing much to complain about. Will recommend others to stay here. Location was great. Connected to multiple malls, very easy once you know your way around.

Lovely place, seems like they did a major renovation recently. Rooms are well furnished and the amenities are good. The main negative of long elevator waits still remains though.

A very good hotel in malacca with convenient location and very good facilities! It is not expensive at all for the top but one, 21st club level suite with ocean view! Free shuttle bus provided to jonker st.! Good breakfast and good club lounge!

Costly hotel, service is so so. Staffs are not professional and lazy. Unworthy hotel. If u dont mind staffs behavior and dirty way to access lift from car park, this is a place with acceptable cleanness of room facility. Just ignore staffs and other things. Convenience to go to main street, shopping malls and Makotah medical centre.

My sister from Singapore and I from Kuala Lumpur made a last minute decision to meet in Melaka thinking that it would be easy to walk in to book a hotel room. As I arrived Melaka earlier, I have been trying few 4 star hotels to check in and I almost gave up due to the stress of driving into Melaka city and the roads which are jammed, just like in KL. I must thank the GM of Hatten Hotel who was standing tall in the centre of the busy lobby area while scanning his vision to all the guest at the lobby hall. I must say that the GM shared his role in ensuring that the security is closely monitored. I will remember this one GM who made my life easy by immediately booking a room for my and my sister. We were pleased to see the overall warmth of the staff, room cleanliness with a true hospitality spirit in this hotel. Am looking forward to pay more trips to Melaka in the near future. The choice is certainly a hotel that gives a great memorable experience. The Hatten Melaka. Wishing the team members Good Luck for 2016.

Interesting hotel. Friendly persoonad.

The goods: Spacious room, comfortable bed and good service. Very convenient and there are link bridges to both Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. Walking distance from Jonker Street and the historical sites The bads: the lifts are taking serious too long. Wifi coverage is good but the throughput can be faster. Too few TV channels and the resolution is bad. Verdict: It will be my top hotel choice when visiting Malacca. Unless I am choosing boutique hotel over at Jonker Street.

Amazing breakfast. Rooms are functional and clean. Lifts are a nightmare and take forever. Security is terrible with staff giving keys out without any verification. Check in was very smooth. Check out a bit of trouble and confusion though. Staff very lovely and English levels are high. Bar prices are crazy and too high. Much higher than singapore.
