Other guest making very load noise for more than hour, call receptionist several times but didnt pick up. Going out for checking, the guard jz sitting there do nothing. 1st and last stay here.

Sandbay Hotel does not have a restaurant or café of any kind, the restaurant was closed June 2018. Eating out locally is extremely limited which means taking a trip into town for breakfast either by bus or taxi. The hotel advised me on arrival at around 7pm that it was too dangerous to go out alone to eat locally — not having transport it meant a taxi into town. Reception staff and security were helpful and friendly. The hotel is very basic charging for extra water, toilet paper and tissue paper. If you prefer a more self catering holiday with out the means to cook food. Choose this hotel.

Good place to stay although it might be a distance from popular spots. Very private location. Service are acceptable. Prices are fair enough upon demand.

Quiet Places to stay either with family or with love someone. Have a nice secured parking lot but need to reopen a restaurant in the hotel as soon as possible.

Cheap, clean and ample space. Nice air cond room. Rustic and smelling of old building, no restaurant, but for the price I pay I think I paid its worth.

Good & value for money Hotel. Clean, it doesn't smell like others. Under staffing, so don't expect fast service. Well kept and maintain. Came here for business so not sure if for Holiday. I just need a clean room and a nice bed. So this hotel had everthing I need. 5 Stars. Will stay in next trip. Book thru AGODA.

Spacious area with ample parking space & breakfast is quite simple but nice. The only thing is the TV in our room is not functioning properly. Overall okay.

Reasonably decent and not too expensive. Away from town in a pretty rundown area with nnot much around the area although hotel is quite well maintained. Room was a decent size and quite comfy although they can be a little bit more generous with the toiletries. GRAB cars are cheap and easily available therefore no reason to stay in the town centre which is dirty and noisy and really do not offer much in the way of food.

Very cheap… breakfast ok… ample parking space… good if you have car as this hotel is around 10 min drive to town.

An older hotel located in isolated place. Room was recently renovated.

I've been here with my family. We book a room including breakfast. We enjoyed being here. I suggest who want to came to Sandakan with family came here.

Clean enuf, spacious enuf, amenities good enuf, friendly and helpful enuf. Hotel with their own kitchen, their cook is good enuf. Food? good enuf that eating one portion is not enuf. I love it here.

Good food and cheap. Highly recommended here for penisular folks.

The cheapest 3 star hotel. With free breakfast for two. Wi-Fi, Free Transport to town. Quite place. Free parking and Car Wash. Clean rooms.

It's very satisfying to stay here, the staff are always welcoming, owner is nice as well. The only major issue is that the water can sometimes be cold but heck free Wi-Fi.

Cozy and warm seafood eatery for families!

Staff are friendly, helpful and passion, rate on service is high, look like a new hotel, facilities still new. Just need to improve some breakfast option. If I go back to Sandakan, I will back to same hotel too.
