We had a 6 night stay here and I have to say the hotel is fantastic with everything thing you would expect from a good 5star hotel. For me the best thing about this hotel has to be the staff, they are so polite, respectful and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you 🙏

Great atmosphere for an air conditioned stop for visitors.

Was there for the Iftar today… Highly recommended with such a warm family friendly atmosphere… Kids snack corner was a real treat even for the adults 😅… Service beyond awesome with a great crew from the moment we arrived till the end. The food! Just excellent… Well done Le Meridien 👌👍

This is not my first time staying at this hotel. It gets better than the last time I stayed here a couple years ago. Couldn't ask for a better hotel to stay in kk. I enjoyed most the sunset viewed from the executive lounge at Level 14.

Attended wedding reception last nite, friendly staff, ambience nice, cool, beautiful, food was good, service was wonderful, decor alright.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. My wife and I were here to celebrate a 30th anniversary. For a start I left my phone in the cab. The concierge ran after it and got it back. Diana (I think that was her name) upgraded our room to a suite which was more like an apartment. The sunset view was incredible from our room. I would certainly recommend this hotel. It was outstanding.

Nice staff, nearly efficient hotel. Ramadam means dining area was packed but non-Muslimguests cannot get a meal nor getto the bar. Breakfast is just as chaotic and we had to go for room service. Ran pit oftowels at the pool and we had to wait an hour for fresh ones to appear. Overall the experience was a good one we just need to avoid relgious periods. Trying to get breakfast in the room was a farce!

The sea view from the room was majestic. Family friendly, and great buffet with lots of menu.

Personally nothing beat the 5 star service standard offered by this establishment, their F&B outlets is a must try a wide array of buffet serving at their award winning coffee house.

5 star city hotel. One of the best. Close proximity to malls, local eatery, bars, waterfront, you name it. Strategic location.

Le Meridian standards but must say there could improvements that can be made. 1. Currently doing renovations to extend additional floors at the top. Managing the noise level very well, minimal impact to stay (Aug 2018) 2. Very chic lobby and always very lively — but the external facade can be improved 3. Very popular with foreign tourist 4. Located strategically in town and easy walking distance to popular food places 5. Indoor carpark is slighter narrow, might need to navigate the parking slowly.

Nice natural stone benchtops, but overall room still looks a bit dated. Occasionally cheap with amenities (such as not replenishing the free coffee sachets), but still manageable. Staff members are very friendly and helpful.

Le Meridien serving English Hi-tea in a cozy ambience. Kind service from the f&b was welcoming. The 3-tier series of sweet and sovoury treats was so fulfilling, complete with Earl Grey Tea and English Breakfast. Of course there are options of tea aside from the latter.

The cafe for buffet is so so lousy n grossly over price. I paid 108rm per head for Sunday lunch, they have for main dishes, salt fish fried rice with a few pcs of cheap salt fish laced on top, hardly and egg, fried kwey tye, just rice noddle with black soya sauce n very occasional pcs of egg n bean sprouts, Mongolian lamb extremely sweet n a mixed veg. That is all plus some soupy noodles with greasy oxtail or chicken soup. Served with rotten worm holes veg n flies crawling all over the noodle. For carvery section they had pcs of overcooked n dried out roasted veges n small chunks of overcooked n dried out tough as boots beef n lamb. N some satays. That is about it. To make up for shortage of choice they supplemented with steamed peanuts n corns n some preserved/pickled local fruits. So so lousy choice n everything disgusting to the point of almost unedible. The cafe was uncomfortably warm n so many flies swarming around our plates. Worst condition than many outside coffee shops. My son complained 3 flies settling on small cup of dessert on display. I am 65 years old I have never eaten in such a so call 5 star hotel, grossly oprice, uncomfortable n flies infested cafe for Father's Day lunch.
After feeling completely extorted I was shock I have to parking of 10 rm even after getting a stamp from the cafe.
Bad bad experience all round. Never ever again. So beware don't be conned.

The first impression was excellent as the member of staff who checked us in was utterly charming, and remembered us when we returned. Our room was huge — we opted to pay a little extra for the seaview room, and were able to watch sunset every evening. The bathroom was also massive with separate bath and shower and very good toiletries. We would most certainly stay at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu Hotel again if we should visit KK again.

The room that we stayed in was great. Our room was facing the ocean and so we had a great view of sun set. The pool is also superb and very children friendly. Edrees, my autistic youngest boy had a blast swimming for one end of the pool to the other end. Breakfast was okay. I can't say much because it's just your normal hotel breakfast menu with local delicacies and western dishes being served. The food is good but there's nothing to shout about.

Great management and staff constantly striving to improve. Newly renovated rooms are spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The room was clean, even if the opposite was the Philippine market, and there were no bugs in the room. The temperature of the air conditioner is stable, the quilt and pillow are very comfortable, the receptionist has the reception of speaking Chinese and can communicate in both English and Mandarin.

Newly renovated facade makes this hotel look classy and luxurious, and it's at a prime seaside location with great views. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. Staffs are friendly as well, although the table service for the Latitude cafe can be improved (waited for 5 minutes and no service). Usually packed during holiday season, so book way in advanced and room rates can be relatively high. Wi-Fi is available thought-out the hotel but is painfully slow and intermittent (can't even send a text), but it might be due to the full occupancy. Same goes for low water pressure. Other than that, great hotel at the great location, but at a price.

The cost is not justifiably high for a Hotel with such rooms and service. Although the location of the hotel is very convenient, Wee is very central.

Many of you might think that having a luxurious hotel and having the ambience of a fish market by the sea at the same time. To be honest, that is not true. Only if you lodge into this hotel. The hotel is located opposite of the fish market in Kota Kinabalu. So, if you want fish to cook (wut? ) or dried fish and anchovies, simply cross the road from the hotel to the market. Other than that, you get to enjoy the sea breeze when you go swimming at the hotel's pool or the night pub. So, basically :-1. Luxury and comfort (CHECKED) 2. The nice smell of the sea (CHECKED) 3. Close to the market (CHECKED) 4. Plans of going? (up to you tho).

Top hotel with giant large suite super breakfast and very nice pool with cool service …

Myself, my husband and my 2 children (6 and 8 months) have just returned from our stay at Le Meridien. The room was fantastic, beds extremely comfortable. The hotel staff could not do any more to make us feel welcome and to make our stay as good as possible with them. We were promptly upgraded on our second night to a sea view room after chatting about how it would be great to have that to a staff member. We were asked twice a day how our stay was going and given advice on a trip we took out to the islands. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and professional. The food and drinks were fabulous. We had breakfast there, as well as room service for dinner. We also had cakes on our last morning and wow they were delicious! If we ever do return to the area we will stay again and if anyone asks for recommendations in the area we will definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for a great stay.

I stayed here a couple of years ago, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience! The room was ok but old like something out of the 80s, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room service was good and the hotel facilities were normal for a five star hotel. What really bothered me about this hotel was the attitude of the receptionists and the hotel porters! They were mostly impolite and unprofessional in way they dealt with their customers! For example, I once asked the concierge to get me a taxi, but he claimed not to understand English and refused to get me one! And I met one of the most impolite receptionists I ever came across in my whole life while checking out, and I forgot to ask him for the deposit that they took upon checking in, but he never cared to remind me of it! I don’t know if things have changed during those couple of years, but I don’t think I’ll ever return to this place again!

Great hotel, great rooms and service. The view was beautiful. We were here for our honeymoon and the hotel gave us a cake that says Happy Honeymoon. My husband and I thought it was a wonderful gesture.

Excellent stay. Rooms (Suite and Vista) are very spacious and cosy with breathtaking sea view. Breakfast is of a good quality. Staff very professional. Must to try.

Going through an upgrading of their rooms and facilities so daytime (9am — 6pm) tend to be noisy. I stayed at their Club room but as it was not renovated yet, everything feels dated & old. Room was spacious and had nice view of the sea & surrounds. Staff are generally helpful & cheery. Will probably go back after they complete their upgrading works by 2018

Room 0822 Novjohonkij, clean, very beautiful. But! Compared to the old layout of the wardrobe decreased 3 times, and shelves I have not found… The room is literally lined mirrors, but the mirrors are tinted, so you look in them tanned, as on the cover of the magazine, but do make-up, looking in them is impossible, and lighting from above only aggravates the situation.

I stayed 5days for holiday at Le Meridan Kota Kinabalu. It a good place where nearby Filipina Market, night market and otherelse. You can see the beutiful sea at Swimming pool. Have a gym, spa and otherelse. Swimming pool is big there nobody swim in afternoon. Swimming pool open from 6 a. M. To 10P. M.

The only nice hotel in downtown KK.

Happy staying 3 days at the Room 624, Le Meridian, Kota Kinabalu. From April 3 to 5, 2013. Love the "souvenirs" (Room footwear). Thanks to all-friendly staff.
