Very friendly staff, clean rooms and good atmosphere. The location is good and there is a 24h store and a laundry service next to the hotel. Minus 1 star because of no lift and no private toilett/washroom.

Lovely hotel with very nice owner. Daniel goes out if his way to make his guests feel welcome and even took us to a local beach for sunset and it was one of the best I've seen in a while. The place is neat and clean. Depending on what room you get the view may not be the best but they are very reasonable. Also right in the centre if town with an awesome fish bazaar just across the road that has highly entertainment and a choice of any sea food you could imagine… I mean everything… some stuff had never seen before and we love seafood.

Clean, well kept and hospitable crew. Located in the center of the city and unfortunately the location isn't scenic though, so no point opening the windows. Same toast and fruits for breakfast everyday. Overwhelming Chinese crowd. But overall, it's a good place to stay while in KK.

The staffs are not friendly with local people. They only friendly with tourists and foreigners. Which make me pissed of so bad.

I stayed for 5D/4N in December 2017. Decent place to sleep and shower. Picked the bigger room next to the stairwell with private bathroom. Hosts were friendly, room cleaned daily, great location for exploring the city on foot. Nearby munchies include a corner kopitiam serving spinach noodles with pork while opposite the lodge is a restaurant with awesome seafood (Hua Hing) and nightly performances.

Peace and quiet! Bed and restrooms are basic but clean. Very nice location, walking distance to the Filipino Market. Staff are Filipinas so they are very hospitable and nice to talk to. Will stay here again when we go back to KK.

Not bad. We had a private room with ac. Place was quite. Only holding back the other star because the advertised breakfast was coffee a piece of watermelon and toast… which I guess is food in the morning… but come on.

One of the best lodges you'll find, the rooms are cozy and affordable. I've found myself returning to this lodge for almost a decade of trips to Sabah, very worth it!

Nice backpacker budget. Breakfast incl but that was a bit poor ;) Close to "must see" in the city. Clean. Staff really helpful and nice.

Clean room, clean towel, comfortable bed, fan and aircon working well, the water heater for shower is nice, with plenty of hangers and power sockets.
The staff and owner are friendly and gave advices for travellers.
Highly recommend for backpackers!
But be reminded that the dorm is on 4th floor.

Good, clean hostel in a central place. Booked a private room for two nights. No window at all, felt really closed in and dark without lights. Quite a shame.

Thank you so much! Think not handbags come on staff to help me lose, but forgot to check, Myr 1500 of the inside, the waiter from 8 o'clock in the evening, while I go more than 12 points, is to me. Check out necklaces leakage in the drawer, calling every half a month in the past, but still keep it for me. Grateful! Thank you!.

Lavender Lodge in KK is in great location, 15 min walk to furthest point of interest, Jesselton Jetty where you can hop to islands. We stayed here 2 nights in private double room and it was excellent. Coffee/toast/fruit for breakfast. They can also recommened a good place for massage, tours, etc and even let us keep our bags there for an afternoon at no charge. Would definitely recommend if you're staying in KK.

First of all. Their coffee is the best! Clean room, friendly FILIPINA Receptionist. (esp Ate Nora), nice location and good accommodation. Overall they are the best lodge/hotel in town :) It's like your second home in Kota Kinabalu.

We spent here four nights and we definitely liked it here. The place was very clean and neat. Also located in very good area.
