The reception is nice and the room is clean. The facilities is good and the food is good. I wil choose to stay at this hotel if I came again to Sabah.

Rooms are well-kept. Fresh linens daily. Breakfast is buffet with lots if food choices. Staffs are courteous and professional.
location is very accessible on foot.

Great services and nice room to live in. The staffs are also nice to customers. The only downside is I can't adjust the aircond temperature. The breakfast also provided a varieties of food suitable for all kind of customers.

Although it is an old restaurant, but the room is clean, comfortable to live, there are several good restaurants nearby, there are also several convenience stores, very convenient.

It's an older established hotel located near Signal Hill & Istana TYT. Design especially the window in the room and the decor indicate its older age. Furnitures are a bit dated but in good condition. Rooms are spacious though. Within walking distance to many KK attractions such as the water fronts, Padang Merdeka, Tamu Gaya etc.

Used to be a good hotel. Now it's old and looks old. The room is ok. Wi-Fi not too good. Breakfast acceptable.

Rooms and food was good, but very bad Internet facility. Being such a brand, they should make sure all the amenities are provided. But in our 2 days of stay, we had internet connectivity issue both the day, infact there management person came to resolve also, but couldn't resolve the net issue. Was really disappointed because of it.

Although is a very old hotel to stay, but l like the size of the room and the breakfast has varieties and taste good as well.

Old hotel but well maintained. Seems popular among East-Asian group tourists. Room is comfortable, no foul smell is the room I stay (someone did complaint about it). Only that you cannot adjust the aircond temperature, I think the hotel tempered the controller. Walking distance to KK wet market area, around 15 minutes to go there. Breakfast selection is good enough… rice, noodles (soup base and fried), congee, egg station, espresso machines… But it will be better if the breads are fresh from oven. If bread and pastry are your preffered choice for breakfast, you will be disappointed. And almost all the staff that serve the table (about 4 or 5 of them) during breakfast seems too stressful and like in hurry. I know they are committed, but they can be train to act more relax, calm and not as like half running around the cafe. It doesn't send a positive vibe to the customer whose having their breakfast. Overall, nice hotel and will consider to come again.

We had the best meal at this restaurant. The food was very tasty, serves generous and well price. Recommend for a relaxed meal out.

The room is clean. The breakfast is very delicious. Because the indoor power outlet could not be used well, I asked for help to the front desk. Then, the staff lent the adapter. As a result, charging of the smartphone was done without problems.

One to the room feeling, our room, hot water is warm, toilet paper is empty, friend's hair dryer is bad, but fortunately, they have to replace to us, help us fill, another restaurant meal, really need to improve, but to three star angle, really can. The only thing to pay attention to, friends of the room card, for two consecutive days out of a problem, it feels as if someone changed the room card, the other people feel insecure … The staff is good, the attitude can be.

Dangerous bathtub screen design, no dental set and need to pay for it. Not recommended.

Hotel Shangri-La Kota Kinabalu is really amazing it's a wonderful place, their treatment are great and the food is very delicious, it's such a memorable because I never expect that the view was very adorable I having my great time there with my family and I'll never forget this experience and it's kind of experience that make me felt so calmed and happy, Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort Tuaran it's a place where you can find calmness and happiness and now it's your turn to feel and experience the beauty of the place… Thank you very much. Don't be fooled by the name; it has nothing to do with the Shangri-la hotel chain that we all know. It's a 3-star hotel. Breakfast buffet was decent, cleanliness ok. Could smell smoke even on a non-smoking floor. Probably due to the central aircon system. But it wasn't too bad. The towels had a faintly weird smell. All in all it's ok. Nothing special.

Checked in on the 11 May 2017 and checked out on the 14 May. Value for money. 3 star hotel with 5 star service and quality. Very polite and attentive staff. Will definitely comeback in the near future. Keep up the great job.

Engineering room on 2nd floor. During midnight, Your staffs open and closing the door way too hard. Noisy.

I'm a very fussy person when it comes to hygiene. A clean toilet is my top priority, clean bathroom, white spotless towels and bedsheets and pillow cases.
Hotel Shangri-lah at Bandaran Berjaya met my requirements.
Buffet breakfast, lunch and hi tea on weekends are awesome for a meagre price.
Room rates are awfully reasonable.
Location has a convenient access to transportation. Bus stop and taxi stand at arms length from the hotel entrance.
The hotel staff and management makes one feel at home with their friendliness and one can see their dedication in carrying out their daily chores.
You'll know what I mean, when you meet the hotel manager in person. He is a divine and humble man.
That's when my husband and I decided to stay for 5 months!

High cost of hotel, bad location. From the play place is not near.

Good location, close to bus station from where you can get to the airport for 5 MYR. Delicious breakfast with many choices, highly recommend to book with breakfast included. Also their restaurant is really good AND cheap. You can eat good meal with drink for 15 MYR per person. Good service also!

First and foremost, do not confuse this hotel with the famous and exclusive Shangri-La chain of hotels. Besides that, this hotel is super central located, about 5 minutes walk to the daily market, 6 minutes to Gaya street and within walking distance (20 min) to Jessleton point harbor. KK can be a bit noisy at times but Shangri-La is conveniently located just outside the hustle but near enough if you want it. The neighborhood received a major upgrade in 2014 and is going from regular to fancy. The rooms itself are nice and you get more than you pay for, the staff is also excellent. The food is OK, not bad but you can get equal or better at any corner stall here, hence not 5 stars for me.

Very cozy and nice room to stay, with nice buffet place and average price range from RM160 to RM220. Taxi and bus service are just beside the hotel. Near to the town centre.

I haven't had any slightest idea of how this hotel looks like. From what I can see, the hotel is very good. Big bedroom, nice buffet area and in the town centre.
