Good hotel, for environment, facilities and services from staff. And good location, nearby Banks, retail shops and restaurants and can access The Mosque also, for prayers, definitely will choose this hotel again if I am have chance to visit Kota Kinabalu again in near future. We spent 8 nights in the hotel and it was amazing. The staff is extremly friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice, the view is spectacular and the location is the best. 5 minutes walk to the night market, and the Jesselton point is in walking distance too.

Deluxe King Room, furniture layout is very good. Very clean hotel. Staff all are polite keep it up staff and management. Room services are great. Asia restaurant at Ground level is very recommended.

Service is rather so-so as hotel staff seems to be overwhelmed that they forgot to smile and greet. Room is okay and now up to expectations for the price paid. Location is great as it is right in the heart of Gaya Street. Easy access to famous food restaurants. If you stay over till Sunday you get to enjoy the Sunday market.

Was here for the dim sum. Price was quite reasonable with decent number of choices. Food takes quite awhile to get to the table though. Overall a great place to have breakfast with your family.

It's design is contemporary elegant, with black background brings up the look of the hotel. Conveniently situated at the right middle of town near to gaya Street. Easy to do daily shopping chores for tourist. Room wise is clean, however slightly burnout condition of the room noted, as probably highly occupied room. Suggest small renovation of wooden tubs and some area. Room are generous in size with reasonable amenities. Food is just OK, to small area for large breakfast crowd.

Clean room at an affordable pricing, location superb. Service have rooms for improvement but good compares to other similar hotel.

Love the breakfast dim sum. It was superb and delicious. A little bit of complaint and remarks. On 17/72018 we had dim sum for breakfast but unfortunately one of yr staff a young looking guy who attended to us was slow inefficient and his service to us was bad. Need to send him for more n more n more training. Maybe he is new but that is not an excuse… in a hotel line staff shud be well trained efficient n most of all with a smiling face.

I like this place. I stayed there for 4days and the breakfast is good. The hotel in clean. When you're at the swimming pool, you can see the sea view and planes flying over you.

The food at the restaurant is quite tasty but the parking is a little tight and the surrounding area is always very jam. So best to take Grab to the hotel.

Location is wrong, about 100 meters there are Filipino native shops, and there are modern shopping malls. Food Hotel line across the street there are a lot of yay food.

1 night. Short business trip. Breakfast not bad. Food varieties improved compare to the last time. Comfortable and spacious room. Comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Walking distance to Philipines market and food court along the waterfront.

Located in the city center, a mere 15mins ride from the airport, the Horizon is a recent hotel offering an outdoor pool and nice views of the South China Sea. The checkin was swift and we were upgraded to a room with sea view and terrace, which we appreciated, later at night while having a beer and enjoying the cool breeze. The room was not very spacious, and in need of renovation (e. G. : the walls and cupboard doors), but with a bathtub and all necessary amenities. On the other hand, the terrace was huge. We had to leave to the airport very early, before breakfast was open, and the staff kindly prepared us two boxes with pastries, apples and water to go. We highly recommend, in view of the kindness and friendliness of the staff.

Live on the 12 floor, the water pressure is too small, the bath is very uncomfortable, clean is not OK, the bed under the carpet is very dirty, but also was the son found a dead cockroach in the foot cushion towel … You should change your family next time.

Traffic is very convenient! There are many famous cuisines nearby, and the famous Ka ya street Sunday morning and square.

Had afternoon tea with my 3 daughters. The green tea cakes were superb.

Please do not go here. To be honest the service and the room was pretty okay but the cleaners are not to be trusted. I had my money stolen when I came back from the room cleaning. Leaving my wallet in a drawer wasnt safe but I wouldnt have thought that they would go into the drawer, look in my wallet and take a 100dollar bill. And the ppl at the counter wouldnt even give 2 plastic forks even when they had them and lied to my face saying they didnt have it. I wouldnt trust going there again.

If u love dim sum. This is one of the best place to go. The price is very reasonable.

The service is terrible, the morning tidy up the room not to replace the new, even the rubbish is not lost, inform the counter staff to send spare parts also did not send, to the evening notice 2 times to take, completely unlike the hotel that the service, the counter staff nothing will help you he will only tell you that you want to come to your own, even the most basic pull baggage services are not all to their own, than 2 star hotel service is inferior, rotten. In addition to the location of the other is poor, the pool is too small, poor service, very do not recommend this room. Terrible~

Dinner here. Coast by coast. Taste good. But the chicken is undercooked. Still got blood at the chest. Overall, satisfied!

Pick-up time resistance, 3 o'clock in the afternoon to, ask king size bed, staff Lyn said not ready, if waiting 1 hours can give 10 floor room (originally first 6 floor), we then 4:30 back to pick up the house, but staff Siri Bad said 10 no building, only than 6 buildings, we and her theory, Siri is very impolite to refer to the absence of 10 buildings, but also refers to our Lyn has left work, there is no confrontation, we said to complain, he changed the words 10 floor has a connected room, but "not ready"! If we hold on to 10 buildings, we'll have to wait another 45 minutes! I really like the place. Clean & nice room. They have swimming pool for adult & kids. Location wise (very near to shopping complex & restaurant). They also have spa on the same hotel. The restaurant serve nice food.

Given upgrade to a bigger room. What a surprise. Easy access to anywhere in town. Centrally located just minutes away from SURIA KK.

Upgraded our room from superior to deluxe for free, ample free parkings, excellent amenities such as restaurants, pool, gyms and surau. Huge clean rooms with superb accommodations. Excellent place to stay. Only one complain, you can see the bathroom from the main room. There's a big glass window at the shower and the toilet. A BIG NO if you stay with your kids and family. But other than that, Highly recommended place to stay.

5 stars for the meals / cuisines at their Asia restaurant … So delicious and tasty.

Been to the spa only. So can only give 3 stars, cannot comment on the hotel. Sis is clean, service good, but the sauna and pool is small. We are a group of 6 barely squeeze into the sauna.

A little dated but comfortable and well located.

For a 4-star hotel, the internet speed is comparable to a 1-star. The place does look great for its price but nothing out of the norm, the service here was good too.

Convenient and comfortable. Except I highly hate my last room (no. 1101) as it was too small due to its bath tub located outside the bathroom. Yes, the bath tub is just behind the bed! Its beyond imagination that the huge bath tub is just behind the bed, so no room for guest to sit. Its horrible.

I like this hotel as its have a great location. The room is great and have a good ambiance. I love the king size bed and the decor of the bathroom. However noticed that the electrical item needs to be maintain. The socket of the iron and normal socket is quite loose. This is potential ectrical hazard to others. The water cattle was faulty. However if given the opportunity to stay there I will definetly will choose this hotel.

One of the newer hotels in the area. Rooms are nicely done, some with views of the ocean. Food is ok but better off trying food in the local eateries nearby. Good central city location, very close to the court houses and city council building.

Love this hotel. Returned here many times with long stay. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Great service and they offer good packages. Walking distance to Suria Mall. Surrounding has lots of food and banks.

Loved my 4 day stay here — all staff were friendly and professional. This is a good quality hotel in the centre of town, with numerous cafes and restaurants nearby. Will definitely be staying there again when I go back to the beautiful KK. Chris, of Perth WA.

A bit of an odd place this. It looks great on the surface, but the longer you stay the more slightly annoying things you notice. Like only one coat hook in the whole room — so nothing to hang towels or anything else on? No full length mirror. A wardrobe that has shelves most of the way up, so you can't hang anything longer than a shirt. There is a rooftop pool — but it got more and more cloudy as the days went on and we just didn't dare swim in it after a while. I have rated it as good generally, as I wouldn't go as far to say it was poor, or even fair, but it was just all a bit odd. I would also urge caution on eating in the buffet restaurant in the evening as my other half was very unwell the following day. I did however love the life size horse with a lamp on its head in the lobby :D.
