The Grand Meshmosh Hotel is by far THE BEST hotel I have ever stayed in and it totally deserves to be called the best hotel in Beirut.
The cozy atmosphere there is phenomenal, you feel at home as soon as you step in the door!
Michael, the owner, is an amazing guy and he is definitely the kind of owner any establishment needs, I've had the pleasure of talking to him and he was so nice and so helpful! I know that any guest who's ever been there would say the same!
The staff there is just gorgeous! It's so rare to find such dedicated, friendly, loving and helpful staff anywhere else in the world! Special mention to Cynthia and her epic ginger tea recipe!
The food there is exceptionally delicious!

This was my first trip to Beirut and I can confidently say that my stay at the Grand Meshmosh is what will make the trip one to cherish for life! Fantastic experience in this hub bang in the center of Beirut. Lovely terrace and tasty food! Friendly staff and very decent prices for the city’s standards! We also had the chance to experience the new little brother, Le Petit Mish Mosh, equally comfortable and welcoming!

I stayed one week in the Grand Meshmosh Hotel and I loved the vibe there! The staff is super friendly and they help you organize tours in Beirut and day trips in Lebanon. The included breakfast is a mezze buffet and is a great way to start the day. The location is ideal since the Gemmayze district has many restaurants and bars, and downtown isn't far away.

My stay at GMH was great and I will return next time I'm in Beirut. The location is unbeatable and the rooms are clean. The housekeeping staff is attentive and they refresh the rooms whenever requested. Wifi works, AC works, breakfast included. The food in the cafe is superb. The owner and his staff are friendly and accommodating. They're aim was to make my stay worthwhile and it was and will be remembered. Recommended.

Very nice and democratically priced hotel where you can also get good coffee and sweets.

Loved the hospitality, those Mystery Gardenia cocktails, showing us the best bars in town (maybe too many…), great tips on what to see in Beirut and Lebanon, an insight into the people, culture and history. We loved our trip to Sour and the cliff top place you booked for us in Byblos — all perfect. You also have a great location, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, nice cosy atmosphere, delicious local breakfast and nice happy hour. Loved your neighbourhood — we didn't want to leave! (And thanks for letting us hang out when our flights were cancelled…)

Best hotel ever! Nice and very clean, ideal location but most of all an amazing staff who does everything to make you feel home and enjoy the best of Beirut. Great food also and live music in the evenings. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Rooms are quite spacious and clean and it is also possible to eat at the hotel (more like home cuisine). We felt very welcome by Michel and his team, who also helped us arrange day trips in Lebanon.

Food is great, coffee is great, setting is amazing with all the warm lights. You can sit outside for a calm evening under the stars, or cozy up inside if it's too windy on the patio. As for the actual rooms I cannot say, because I did not try them. But i'm sure they're as amazing and affordable as the kitchen downstairs.

Great hostel, friendly hostesses, calm and quiet neighborhood while very close to the city centre and the touristic Armenia street. Left in the middle of the night with an arranged taxi (hostel called it for me), that was friendly and cheap as well. Overall good experience!

In addition to being a hostel the grand meshmosh hotel is also a fun and friendly neighborhood hangout to grab a drink and mingle with tourists.

Awesome, awesome place to stay. The location is perfect and walking distance to the best of Beirut. In the mornings and evenings, the patio and dining room are very social and communal, with many foreign strangers eating and drinking together. The hotel's owner, Michel, is often sitting with the guests chatting with them about Beirut's history. Highly recommend.

I had friends that stayed at this hostel, and I picked them several times from this place, I can assure that the hostel is perfectly located right in the center of jemmayze very close to the dynamic and traditional part of Beirut. The service is quite good because my friend asked for a private bathroom for her and her family when staying there, and the owner agreed and gave her the key to one.

Great Hotel in terms of service and hospitality. Very kind and friendly hostess. The hostess is very knowledgeable in the product and can bring us our orders very well. In relation to the quality, u can recieve a great product at an excellent price. The atmosphere is very inviting and cordial. U can feel cozy and enjoy the great music with friends.

Wonderful atmosphere, kind staff, and a charming owner Michel. The salads are exceptional, and the desserts are quite good, too. A fine place to grab a coffee or​ lunch while exploring Beirut.

I want to thank the Grand Meshmosh hotel for really making my trip to Lebanon wonderful! There is always something going on, all the while it is quiet and serene. Especially in the mornings: you can sit and enjoy the morning sun (hopefully) for hours while refilling your coffee and trying different things from the (really) extensive buffet. The hotel does not only attract backpackers, although you will find them, but people of all ages and cultures. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves here. This is thanks to the wonderful staff, the funny and lovely Michel, Rhamsey, who always smiles and laughs, drives a bomb-ass car and invites you to his drumming gigs on small Whisky bars and Ola, Simone and Sibelle, who are really laid back and sweet girls. Close to the hotel are museums, art galleries, small shops and cafees. You can walk everywhere in the city from it. I could not be happier, and I would STRONGLY recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to travel to Beirut.

Great little hotel in East Beirut. Also a restaurant for lunch and dinner, sometimes with nice live music. The included breakfast is very tasty, with a table full of products. Michel, the owner, and Ola, the assistant manager are lovely people, very much like the whole staff there. You can take a really inexpensive bus to go to Hamra if you walk up about 10min from the hotel. Though, the neighborhood of Gemmayze is really lively and pleasant to hang out in.

An inspiring and magical place. I loved the Grand Meshmosh hotel and had a wonderful room. This place truly captures the Spirit and wonderful hospitality of the Lebanon and the lebanese people. A friendly, helpful and interesting staff. The other guests too were an interesting bunch. The food was great and I would go back at lunch time for the great lunches and the atmosphere. I am recommending this to all my friends and hopefully will return with a group of them.
