Great party here. Stay here if you want to party.

Walls scribbled all over with arts and murals, a cool pool table to hangout at and free vodka from 8-10 PM, this place is pretty affordable and definitely worth a small stay. The staff here is helpful and courteous, but DO NOT BOOK tickets to Thailand or anyplace from here. They'll scam you into paying 70000 KIP when you can just go to the bus stand and pay 22000 KIP for the same ticket that they give you. Breakfast here is good and the place is close to most of the monuments, so one can walk over to these places and cover them. The market is also close by and the banks/exchange shops too. It is my advice that you walk and cover all these places as they're not that far or just rent a bicycle. No need to rent bikes I'd say. They have common bathrooms on the ground floor and nothing on the first. Also the bathrooms are in okayish shape and not so good.

Pretty good hostel with a realy nice vibe. Plus you get free Whisky from 8pm to 10pm.

Worst place. Looks like a dirty-poor high school dormitory. Especially, the vietnamese female staff at day time reception was so rude. It seems like always looking for the money.

Cheap but nice place to stay and almost downtown.

This is a nice place, the staff is friendly, it's exceptionally clean and the food is great. The free breakfast in the morning is served up very quickly and the free whisky between 8 and 10 pm definitely adds to the comfortable atmosphere.

Cheap and fun! The beds are actually comfortable and the place is pretty clean. They offer a free breakfast, probably to help with the hangover from the free whisky/vodka they offer at later in the evening, haha dangerous stuff. There's a good party most nights.

Great hostel full of super friendly people. Free vodka from 8pm-10pm, and you can even leave you're own mark on the walls! However, fyi it doesn't have a pool anymore.

Cheap place, definitely visit if you love broken showers, bathrooms downstairs from your dorm rooms, broken lights, terrible cliche graffiti espousing the merits of travel and drugs, getting your ears blasted all night with horrible music, lousy vodka for free, false swimming pool ads, and a street under heavy construction. But actually there's a nice pool table and cold beer and decent breakfast.

Very good hostel for socializing and meeting people. Also solid if this is your first experience of Laos, since if you go to Vang Vieng, etc. Next, they'll all be a lot more spectacular than Vientiane! Very nice staff too, and free vodka in the evenings :)

Nice staff, breakfast included, good location. Locks on doors didn't work, hard bed, lockers not that safe.

The beds are the absolute worst hostel beds I’ve slept on in six months of hostels. Otherwise the atmosphere is fun. The hostel owners are selling the place soon so don’t expect the beds to be replaced. Breakfast was good.

A cheap place for staying a couple days in Vientiane. The breakfast was easy and good. There are many backpackers and interesting people to talk with. Cool atmosphere in the evening with a pool desk, happy hour and music! The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can change your money, baht to kip, there but not kip to baht. The beds are not to hard and not to soft.

Bad place! It's old, room is dark need to be update. The bathroom is dark and no hot water! There is music loud all night. The staff doesn't even care. The breakfast was no deal, at first day they forget my boyfriend toast, and second day I asked for pancakes they didn't bring and when was asked again I then wait for 15minutes for two plastic pancakes! The services like tranfers it's more expensive them others hostel in the same street. Never want to came here again, not a good place!

Great hostel with free breakfast and free vodka for two hours each night! Met lots of traveller and hostel helped me book bus to Luang Prabang. Careful if you ask them to do your laundry, count your clothes first and they lost some of mine.

A step up from Dream Home 1 for sure. It says there is Wi-Fi but it is difficult to access on at least the 4th floor. There was a very helpful woman working there but everyone else was rude and spoke minimal English.

Worst hostel experience ever. Music plays very late in the night/morning, you need to walk downstsirs and through lobby to shower/use bathroom, no soap or towel provided, and when the drunk man pisses on your clothes, the staff won't understand or care much and everyone will have to navigate through the wet smelly floor. Security box is extremely flimsy aluminum… barely worth putting a lock on because the hinges can be undone, but "you can leave your valuables downstairs in the lobby".

Nice and cosy, but prices of services like bus or rent motorbike is a bit more expensive.

It's a good hostel and worth spending money over there. There are many mosquitos in the room so at least they should take care of them.

Nice hostel but the staffs need to be a bit more professional.

Sociable and fun place to meet other travellers. Private room was a bit mouldy and could do with re-decoration. Arranged my bus to Vang Vieng including pickup. Awesome Egyptian food place directly opposite that's open late.

Despite having free vodka, free breakfast, and pool table, we could only stay here 2 nights then moved to another hotel we enjoyed much more. I felt that a minority of people would really enjoy this place, but for most others stay somewhere else much cheaper. Beds are uncomfortable, staff is kind of rude, music is loud at night. This place is a cheesy attempt to lure backpackers and tries a little too hard to be "cool, " when it's actually pretty crappy and expensive. Oh, and the breakfast sucks.

The pool is communal and a block away. Rock hard beds. More expensive than other hostels w better standard in the area. Noisy until late, lots of 19 year old Brits.

Clean dorm with A/C. Very good and different choices of breakfasts (which is free).

Solid spot with a pretty good breakfast and working Wi-Fi. Showers are decent too, minus the slight smell.

Great place with a friendly and fun atmosphere. Staff were very helpful.

Good place, air-con rooms with good safe door (card). Only issue for me was showers and toilets were downstairs while rooms were upstairs so not very convenient for me.

Had a private room. Great staff, great breakfast, and great location. Though the room did get mosquitos, there were not too many.

Staff was alright (better go to hostel 2 opposite). Rooms were really good air-conditioned. Breakfast is better than average free breakfast.

Over priced for private room. Does not include breakfast, though they do offer a cheap breakfast menu and a communal water cooler that you can fill up at. Shower was moldy, looks like it hasn't been maintained as well as it should have for the price. Nice staff though.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Beds comfortable and aircon worked all day. Breakfast was nice. The only problem were Wi-Fi that didn't work in the room but in common area it worked fine. Also the pool is abt 50 metres outside the hostel.

Breakfast was included but really poor. No natural light in the dorm room. The swimming pool was frozen, we couldn't enjoy it.

Relatively clean, friendly staff, and a nice social environment that coalesces around the pool table and outdoor seating for drinking oversized bottles of BeerLao. The pool at Dream Home Hostel 1 is a bit dirty, so if you're content with lounging by the edge, you'll be happier.

Great place to meet fellow travelers with very nice art work on the walls. Other then that it's okay. Dorm room was 60k kip (4 beds room, bigger room is cheaper). If you want a towel is extra 10k. facilities are okay warn out but clean. Bed was a bit short for me (I'm 184). Breakfast choice between pancake egg some egg and bread with instant coffee or tea. They have a pool a few minutes walk away from guest house it's not big enough to swim in just for hanging around. Dream house hostel 1 and 2 are both owned by the same people and are very close by.

Amazing place to stay with the best backpacker facilities including an excellent new pool with plenty of seating and the most current music playing. The staff are brilliant and always willing to help and give you ideas for your travels.
When Mr Kien (The Owner) has time to sit and help you organise your plans that's when you really know your in the right place.
A community of all nationalities and more than enough facilities to house us all. Dream home hostel really has enough for any kind of stay.

A lovely place with wonderful vibes, The walls full with great art that travelers left behind! There is even free breakfast and pool and every dorm bed has a plug and little light and all of this for only 50000k.

Great place to stay, we mit lovely people there and the staff is awesome! I really look forward to come back to vientiane!

I stayed three nights included the 31th December. The hostel organised a buffet. Excellent idea to meet people for the new year eve. The staff is super friendly, giving many advises. The rooms are great and spacious! And the hot showers amazing I definitely recommend this hostel. Clean, cheap and perfect.
