Very cheap, owners and staff were helpful, room was clean and shower was hot. Used the laundry service and clothes came back at 12 the next day — could have been a bit quicker. Good location in the town, very near the MAG visitor center and some good western food places.
WARNING: Karin's incident of theft may be common for foreigners When we stayed we arrived without a local SIM and took the first acceptable place for night one as we had just finished a 20 hour bus ride. UNSECURE: While relaxing in the room we heard our door knob rattle as someone tried to open it from outside. We ignored it but after it happened a few more times someone knocked on the door. When my girlfriend opened the door the two Laos staff cleaners were outside and as soon as the door opened the started looking over my gf's shoulders inside the room ignoring her and apparently scouting for valuables on the table. They didn't say anything to us, just talked in local to each other until they were satisfied and left. Seeing as it was 3pm and the room was already clean there was zero reason for then to come knocking in the first place. We then heard them repeat this next door. Thankfully Just before leaving for lunch I checked the review and Karin's review below alerted me and we took all our valuables with us that day and moved somewhere better (and cheaper). Outside of the risk of losing your stuff the guesthouse: Tired and old Beds uncomfortable Shower was cold, don't believe them when they say hot Reception staff had less than zero interest in our existence Quoted a different price on arrival to charged Building work starting at 6am All in all, poor.
