Top tier hotel Very clean environment Very humble and respectful workers Beautifully beefed up tight security Sankara lounge on 7th floor has very nice and 100% delicious meals What I loved the most is their prawns, wedges and cocktails. Let’s not forget the band on Saturday (the artists is so blessed) I can’t wait for saturday to also have myself take pictures of the view of the city and it’s environs. I vouch for Mr Charles Maina the guy who served me in the lounge (7th floor) Anyone going there “he is my best guy-a very intelligent and hardworking man” Let him know Mr Willard Johnson said hi Thank you Sankara Hotel Westlands for the treat I saw the value for my money.

We had a great stay of 5 nights here. The junior suite was well appointed. We had breakfast onsite each day and were never disappointed. Great savory and sweet selections. Everything seems to be locally sourced. Solomon was extremely helpful during our stay. The entire staff was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again.

Occupancy is down, one of the hotel wings is shut, but the rest functions as previously: the lounge is open all day and serving a proper breakfast to order, then a light choice hot snacks in the evening, the outdoor poolside bar & restaurant is open, but last orders are at 20:00 due to the curfew. The food is still very good.
The hotel team is welcoming and efficient, all housekeeping and laundry services function as before.
I was upgraded to a Junior Suite, with a nice view (thank you Solomon @ Front Desk! ).

The food, room and services were top notch. We'll be back.

I didn’t stay at the hotel but I explored the rooftop and restaurant. The food at the restaurant was great — We ordered a few Indian dishes and were all happy. The masala tea is by far the best I’ve had in the city. Overall, the hotel had a great ambiance, super clean, and hospitable staff. The prices are super reasonable and if it wasn’t far from where I live, I’d definitely go a few times a week. Highly recommend!

The bed was really comfortable. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location too very close to a number of good dining locations including the Westgate mall. I will definitely like to stay here again when next visit Nairobi.

Friendly, helpfull staff. Access to the private lounge for breakfast. And a great place to get a good steak dinner.

Nice hotel, very clean. However need to improve empathy against guests. Yesterday woke up early with big banging sounds. Called the reception, they sent someone over to check. The guy came over heard the sound and said I don't hear anything first. So I kept him waiting second time his eyes rolled up when he heard the sound could not deny. But he said it is coming from next door etc. Let me check. This continues for an 15 minutes and I cannot bear the sound anymore. Went out of the room checking where the sound is coming finally found out there is a gym upstairs and a guy throwing huge metal lifts to the floor. 5:30 in the morning! Called the reception they say sorry but this keeps going and never stops. Although they knew the sound was coming from gym, both reception and the engineering guy tried to hide it. So your choice for this hotel now!

Lovely hotel — the rooms are stylish and bed really comfortable. The food is great, colorful, vibrant and fresh at all the restaurants. The cocktail and drinks menus are creative and delicious. Sitting out by the pool bar on the 7th floor is super relaxing or you can hit the gym! I would highly recommend this place. Too bad the spa was closed during my stay though — I would have liked to try it out.

Stayed here for almost a month and loved everything about it. Modern decor, great facilities, varied and sumptuous breakfast and then the rooftop pool with glass bottom! Definitely reccomend, in a nice area with restaurants and bars right outside… Safe and clean with great service…

My birthday surprise party was pretty exceptional stayed for almost a week. The service, food everything welcoming and amazing. Although there was a slight issue with the pool staff thinking that I lied about extra people swimming but the manager was able to resolve this as we booked 5 rooms. Thank you.

Very nice hotel with a good service, nice facilities, clean and tidy rooms and a cool top floor pool and bar area. However my dining experience was really average. With better food options and quality it would be a 5 star from me.

If you have been to Nairobi you know the sort of thing. Delightful pool in a rooftop bar. Great food but pricey for the area. Spa looks amazing though I didn't try it.

I have stayed at Sankara at least 5 times over the past 3-4 years. (This trip I did not stay there so my review is based on the dinner we had their). In all my trips, I have found the staff to be friendly eager to assist. Accommodation was always very pleasant and the food very satisfying. A good stay every time.

Love the swimming pool. The food was awesome… And the staff were really welcoming.

The rooms are clean, well furnished and an oh-so comfy bed. The bathroom is grand too. Make sure you check out Sarabi — the rooftop bar and pool area, always has great events especially on Friday — Sunday. Also turn up for brunch on Sundays. 4500/ — P. P, bottomless booze (select). Come hungry and thirsty.

Brilliant Christmas buffet and unusually good band (they are usually too loud and don't usually play the things you like). Didn't enjoy the sushi I would have preferred to see more salmon but they have a brilliant ice cream parlour in the corner which is easily missed. The staff were professional, friendly, helpful, happy and all round perfect.

Had an amazing lunch. The buffet was killer. But would have loved to have just a bit more vegeterian main dishes. And not have me make a main dish out of the grilled side veg. Other than that the food was amazing.

Chic hotel nestled in the popular and bustling westlands area. You'll particularly enjoy the restaurant and bars especially the rooftop pool bar. Ambiance is great. Great for dates and family dinner. Very pricy and I guess it has the costliest parking fees in Nairobi.

Great ambience. Impeccable food at artisan. Great service. Friendliest waiters ever. Had a family dinner here and because the waiter got the order wrong the manager came and personally apologised to us and we got dessert on the house! The prices were also not exaggerated and the menu had a greater variety than restaurants in other hotels. The hotel is sooo beautiful. I loved it. Definitely five stars!

Great rooms and restaurant service. Ideal as its located at the heart of Westlands where you can access the Sarit Centre, The Mall and Westgate all at a walking distance. The Maasai market is closely located and can even be viewed from the Hotel! Great local nyama choma available at the Masai market or you could try the upscale Fogo Gaucho restaurant across the road as well. Free Wi-Fi for hotel guests.

Such a famous hotel and no valet parking! Have to park yourself and walk through the entire parking to get in.

Sankara Brunch at the Artisan was excellent. Service superb. And kid friendly. My daughter loved it. Definitely going there again.

I love this hotel, it is a very high end up trend which is good for a getaway. The food is incredible and the rooftop bar is amazing.
