Hob House

Hob house Mediterranean restaurant was a great experience. Authentic taste of Lebanon served, from starters, main course, drinks and desserts everything was quality from fresh ingredients. Star dish was the beef kebab served with a yoghurt side and wedges.
Service was good as well.
Average spend per person 2500/ — KES.

Gone here a couple of times for food and I loved everything! From the beautiful garden, to the friendly staff and delicious food I have no complaints! Would definitely recommend trying the Oum Ali dessert especially, it tastes like a warm hug. Great for a date or even for a large group.

Food was great. They have a nice wine menu, but was surprised they did not serve beer. Reading the reviews it seems that having alcohol on the menu is new but do not understand why would have wine but no beer. Strange.

Didn't done but the reviews I got made me regret my choice.

Hob House is an incredible place to stay in Nairobi! We spent a week there for a yoga retreat and truly felt at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a long stay. Every morning, we enjoyed a fresh and delicious breakfast with great coffee. The Lebanese restaurant is absolutely fantastic—we had dinner there every night, trying as much as possible from the menu, and everything was simply delicious!
But what truly makes Hob House special is the people. The hospitality is beyond amazing—you are welcomed like family, and the warmth of the team makes the stay unforgettable. And I can't forget to mention the massage—one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!
Highly recommend Hob House to anyone visiting Nairobi. It’s a place filled with warmth, comfort, and exceptional hospitality!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hob House in both Nairobi and Malindi, and I can honestly say it was an experience that stole my heart. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was being welcomed into a home, not just a hotel. The hospitality is absolutely exceptional—every staff member greets you with a smile, and you can feel the genuine care they put into making your stay unforgettable.
The food was nothing short of a dream. Each meal was a celebration of flavors, fresh ingredients, and culinary creativity. I savored every bite and could tell it was crafted with love. As someone who values wellness, the meditation session was a soul-soothing experience, and the private ice bath session? Invigorating and completely transformative.
The wine tasting was another highlight—Kelly, the owner, has this incredible knack for making you feel like you're experiencing something truly special. She pours her heart into every detail, and it shows. Her personal touch is woven throughout the entire experience, making each moment feel warm and uniquely tailored to guests.

The interior of the restaurant is very well.
Planned with all the art and designs.
However, the most important thing at restaurant — food — was underwhelming, no one at the table fully enjoyed their main, all.
Of them tasted bland.
Starters on the other hand were good.
Note that they don't serve cocktails or wine by glass. They only serve wine by bottles and the waiter brought us sweet wine when we ordered dry.

Terrible service, did not have ingredients for the order and took 1 hour just to inform us it was not available, and another 30 minutes before the 1 item in exchange was made. Estimated delivery time on app is 30-45 minutes, whereas we have waited double this and more. Disgraceful service. Do not buy from this place.

Ambience:
It has somewhat rustic vibes and the greenery outside is just lovely and calming.
Restaurant Experience :
First time trying Lebanese cuisine so I can’t tell if it’s close to the real thing or not. Did I enjoy the food? Yes.
I especially liked the apple+mint tea & the coffee.
The only thing that was slightly off was the sauce with minced meat in it. The beef tasted weird.
Service:
This was pretty fast, but probably because we were the only people there at the time.

I recently dined at the Mediterranean restaurant at Hob House. While it is pricier compared to other places in Nairobi, it is situated in a posh area far from the town center.
The portions were on the smaller side for the price, as the restaurant seems to market itself as an upscale venue where you pay more for less food. This approach, however, doesn't align with the traditional Lebanese/Mediterranean culture, which typically emphasizes abundant food for guests.
That said, the food was delicious.
I did not know that it is also a hotel and Google only puts it forward as a hotel so cannot give stars for food etc.

It's a lovely place to have a private lunch or dinner, went there for lunch and had a lovely meal. The food was fulfilling and the environments, serene.
Service could've been a bit better but overall good place with good food portions that was value for money.

Lovely food and Lebanese dishes. Very kind and calm personals /persons marking at ease in the lovely garden. I recommend!
