Garden Hotel

So disappointed with garden hotel machakos.
1. I paid for 2 nights then after staying for one, I came back to the hotel in the evening just to find someone else has been given our room and our wet inner clothes put in a paper bag together with another inner wear from from a different room.
2. The toilet is dirty, bathroom door broken, no water or totally cold water, dirty cups, even the electric kettle is not cleaned.
3. They dont prepare a room fully for the next visitor. They act surprised and start bringing items one by one, towel, water the room dint even have tissue.
Never again.

Had a girls reunion with former class mates.
Kuku choma was served.

Very por services.
No water…
Reception no response on calls.
I cant refer.

We’ve been here twice, first time was October 15 for one night. The room is big enough, the bed hard and terrible and there were a hundred mosquitoes. The net above the bed wasn’t fitting so we were eaten all night when we finally fell asleep. Before sleeping we had some drinks around the pool area and later a dinner in the restaurant. That dinner was so good, soft mbuzi and nice kenyeyi kuku that we decided to go back to there on our way back.
Second time we visited was November 2 also for one night. They helpe3 us to make the net better so we could sleep without mosquitoes attacks. Again some drinks around the pool and later dinner. We decided to take the same again because it was so good before. What a mistake that was, I don’t know if they changed chef or what but the mbuzi was tough and tasteless, the Gali not well done which later gave stomach problems and the kenyeyi kuku was nothing else then bones and the little meat was tough. We complained and the manager came and listened and made excuses and offered a drink as some sort of compensation. We did accept his apologies but not his drink because we didn’t complained to be compensated but to tell him that we would not ever come back. It seems Kenyans hospitality is ONLY working in chasing clients instead of pampering them.
The hotel itself is big, contains many places to sit and recreate but is lacking maintenance.

Located in a good place. Most of the things in hotel not servived for long. Could be a better place.

They need to ensure that all rooms have water at all times!
Water in my room got finished in the middle of my shower, I had soap all over. And in addition, it was cold water!
Honest review, price not worth the services received. No Wi-Fi too!

The meals, lunch, breakfast, dinner, supper are all fantastic. One of the best ever. Loved the hotel. One of the best I have ever. The meeting hall is specious and good. The environment is cool and conducive to stay.

The hotel is well located but needs a big renovation! The rooms in the internet are fake (! ) meaning not from this hotel. Even the staff (very friendly) was surprised about these room pictures! Parking is good, the restaurant is very slow but okay.

I found the Garden Hotel Machakos adequate for my purposes. The price for lodging provided was in line with other alternatives. The hotel was not in top shape. There were clear signs of aging, howevrer, all functions necessary for a good nights rest were in order. Hot shower, working electrical outlets, quality mosquito netting. The restaurant was perhaps a bit on the weak side. Service was both good and poor depending on who what on duty. Food good. I think the best feature was the price was right and I could get a good night of sleep.
