This place is paradise, the closest possible to nature… starting from breakfast with birds, through lunch with a view to Mount Kenya ending with fine dining outside surrounded by sound of wildness. Food is gorgeous, tasteful and fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is the best place in Kenya to rest with family, one of the best places I have ever visited while traveling.

The grounds here are beautiful as are the views of Mt. Kenya on a clear day. The rooms are spacious (at least our River Suite was lovely). We always try to stay in the river cottages as one can relax in the morning or evening on the deck and enjoy the forest view and sounds. We are often greeted in the early morning with sounds of lions. The service is excellent, the food is pretty good but not up to the level of the rooms or grounds. Lots of activities for everyone (horse riding, nature walks, animal orphanage, maze, pool, etc). Highly recommend!

Fabulous property with an amazing view. Great service by the staff. The cottages open up to a beautiful lawn and mount Kenya views. If u wish to visit sweet waters conservatory it’s about a 20 minute drive. The animal orphanage at the Property is a must visit to see the endangered African bongos and other animals.

Very nice African cuisine. The staff very friendly. Access to animal orphanage and the peacocks. Serene and the temperatures vary from cool to very cold in the evening. Perfect get away. Horse riding available.

Want to take a break from the daily safaris in your trip and simply sit back and enjoy nature? This is the place. It's absolutely beautifully maintained with all kind of facilities which are in perfect working condition! And if you are to visit the place on a non cloudy day, you might even get to see mount Kenya while drinking your hot coffee. It's a place worth visiting with it's location right 'on' the equator.

Great location. Comfortable rooms. Good food. Most of the rooms have a fireplace, and because of the altitude, the temperature drop at night makes lighting a fire a viable proposition, especially during the rainy season.

Had a delightful birthday and mother's day weekend as a special treat from my darling hubby. The hotel grounds and view of Mt Kenya is breath taking. The cabins are very cosy and the service is great. It was fun getting lost in the maze.

Excellent place. Had a great dinner experience. The service was excellent. The chief chef was so good he even came to check on us. The ambience in the rose garden was heavenly. Looking forward to many more visits.

Lovely scenery, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, feels like a second home. Great view of Mt Kenya right from your bedroom. The equator passes through the middle of the hotel, perfect place for a romantic wedding. Definitely coming back.

Excellent experience, though the restaurant and dining area could do with better staff, rooms are fantastically comfortable with everything you'd expect from a five star hotel. We were lucky enough to see snow atop Mount Kenya which apparently has not happened "in a long time". So I captured a zoomed in shot. Gym is good, golf is excellent. Overall, highly recommended albeit abit on the pricier side, and I'd recommend at least 4 days minimum to make the most of it!

Perfect location, beautiful grounds and very well kept facilities. The staff are warm and friendly. On a clear morning, you get spectacular views of Mt Kenya. Perfect for a romantic getaway. I absolutely loved it!

Always a favorite for my family. We stayed there a few days ago and loved it as always. Fantastic grounds, great food, good service. The Kids playground is awesome.

I booked a voucher for my friends to experience a relaxing time and chose Fairmount Mount Kenya as the place. My friends reported to have been offered an unkempt, old room. When they complained, they were asked to pay more money for a better room. When they threw a fit, is when they were offered a decent room. Imagine getting free nights as a gift only to spend the first few hours complaining. I am so embarrassed that I recommended this hotel in the first place.

A wonderful place near Mt. Kenya. Lovely service and a beautiful surrounding. Things to do: The conservatory is in walking distance to the resort, and it is absolutely worth visiting. The tour to saltwater conservatory is also a must, as you can see lots of Rhinos. The drive to the mountain slopes (45 min) is something you can easily miss. Not much to see there. The resort is beautiful, and you can spend a couple of hours just walking around inside the compound. Moreover, there is lots of stuff to do, so you won't get bored. If you are around Mt. Kenya, this is definitely the place to stay.

One of the most beautiful lodges we have in Kenya. Has great views of the Mt Kenya, a great golf course, a nice maze. Very scenic views. It’s a really popular weekend getaway spot and is worth every penny spent. On your way to this lodge you’ll also get to cross the equator.

Beautiful place to spend the weekend when you need some peace and quiet. The food is superb, the staff were very helpful, professional and kind, the only downside is the outdoor pool is not heated like it says in the website. Please work on that. Will be back again!

Lovely setting but unfortunately the experience is dampened by terrible staff. There are also no apparent rules about meal timings and on both occasions there was difficulty ordering without protesting. The prices are exceptionally 'fluid' and subject to change. Prices also do not include a service charge or VAT. This should be a relaxing and peaceful place, however the terrible customer service has made me no longer wish to visit. If you get the waiter by the pool named Fred then be prepared for a long and tedious time and to overpay by some margin.

It's a heaven on earth! If you want to have a one on one with nature this is the place to be! Spectacular view, friendly staff, food was good too, spa treatments were amazing and they organize safaris too! I can't wait to be back!

A beautiful place. Very well maintained. Excellent service. Enjoyed the company of Tusker and Grammy, the two black labradors. Visit to the animal orphanage was worthwhile.

My wife and I recently visited Mount Kenya Safari Club for an anniversary getaway. We were immediately impressed with the grounds and the beauty of the location itself. The initial welcoming at reception was delightful, although we were disappointed by the activities desk. Be weary of being sold expensive extras, when you don't really need these things to enjoy your stay. The Equatorial Suite where we stayed had a lovely view of the mountain and the front lawn. The furniture and overall decor of the room was lacking for the price point we paid, but it was still pleasant. The food in the dining hall is wonderful and met our tastes marvelously. We were disappointed when we did not get the "turn down" service before 8:45pm in the evening, as we didn't get to enjoy our much anticipated fireplace. However, after our stay, we contacted the staff to let them know about some areas where they could've improved. We received a nice apology along with a voucher for a complimentary stay. We will definitely come again and appreciate the responsiveness to our concerns!

Paradise on earth. Very friendly staff who look after you extremely well There is so much to see and do on the vast grounds of the hotel and game ranch. Just beautiful and unforgettable experience.

Oh what a wonderful view of mount Kenya early in the mornig, the millennium maze just amazing, food delicious, and the members of staff right from the gate just awesome. I held my birthday here. I enjoyed my stay and I would like to have my wedding here. I can't wait to come back.

What a great resort! I absolutely loved my accommodations. My room had a fire place which was super awesome. If you are in the Mt. Kenya area, this is probably the best resort to stay in. The food was awesome as well.

Amazing and relaxing hotel. The beds are amazing and they're always warm thanks to the hot water bottles. Excellent for the whole family with lots of activities and a diverse menu.

What a wonderful place to refresh your spirit! It's luxurious, has friendly staff, and lots to do: golf, tennis, the maze, kid's club, hikes, horse riding, the animal orphanage. Great food; spacious, elegant and very comfortable rooms. Mt Kenya watches over you, and the environment is green and borders the forest. Peacocks, geese, colobus monkeys walk around the property, while impala, elephants, zebra and other wildlife is found in the surroundings.

It is a calm, beautiful and wonderful place. The scenery is just breath taking. The all round view amazing; mostly the mount Kenya view. It has beautiful gardens and woodlands. It has the most wonderful and welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean with 5 star amenities. And of you happen to love game you can get to visit the animal orphanage, or take a trip to sweet waters. They have this camp, with bush meat and a wonderful camp fire. And in case you feel like having a serious adventure you can visit the Samburu game reserve. It is the place to be any day and time. Don't miss out, take a chance and run with it. While at it don't get lost in the maze.

Excellent. Great food, excellent service, beautiful location. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the animal "orphanage", I'm not sure what the deal is there. However a little more research could quite easily change that and is required. But otherwise definitely worth checking into.

This place is paradise on earth. Its worth making a visit to. You can enjoy the cool and serene environment and the majestic view of Mt. Kenya.
