Itibo Resort

Itibo is the perfect place for our visit to Kisii! The staff is excellent and we always enjoy our stay!

Wonderful staff, great breakfast. You order dinner in the morning so they can go to the market and buy the supplies to make it.

Place was clean, cosy,. Nice garden. Food was delicious.

Place looked deserted upon arrival but staff sprung into action as soon as we parked. We were given an outdoor spot of our choice and given a soccer ball for the kids to kick around while we waited for the food. The food was excellent. Service was superb! The bathrooms are super clean. A beautiful setting with plenty of bird music from mature gardens surrounding the resort. A must revisit!

Our extended stay at Itibo was top notch. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms were always clean, they made sure our laundry was done and went out of their way to be sure our meals were to our liking. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. I can highly recommend Itibo for your travel needs.

Wow! Away from pressure, village setup, spacious room, spacious grounds for events, spacious meeting rooms, courteous staff and very calm and peaceful.

The resort is nested in a beautiful and serene environment which makes its suitable for resting and meditation.

The staff at Itibo resort were amazing! We arrived without a booking due to us being caught in protests on the road and were unable to proceee to the border. We were welcomed with open arms, ensuring we were and felt safe. They also went out of their way to ensure our onward journey was safe and uneventful. The room was clean, bed comfortable, mosquito nets available and the dinner and breakfast great. We will always be grateful to the staff and proprietor who looked after us in a time of need.

This is the epitome of a true definition of a resort hotel. It is located in a locality called Itibo, right inside the village, the nearest centre being Suneka Market. You will definitely experience tranquility at its best. With its beautiful landscaping comes and the fauna and flora around it, you will wake up to the beautiful sound of birds chirping. The ambiance and service at this resort is on another level, it will certainly leave you craving for more. Before I forget, it is the only alcohol free resort that I know of in Kisii County and its environs. If you are looking for that they definitely got you. Try it and you will definitely not regret it.

The resort was lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hearty and tasty. The staff was helpful and kind. It really was a lovely stay and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I am currently staying at Itobo on a visit to some of our soapstone artisans in Tabaka. Itibo is situated between Kisii and Tabaka so is perfect. The grounds are very well tended and green. The atmosphere is very peaceful. I am travelling solo and I feel safe and secure here. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the room is perfect. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, hot shower… I could not ask for more. I have to leave a day early and I am sorry to be leaving this very peaceful oasis.

Fantastic hotel, few minutes from Kisii town. It is tucked away so very private and serene. They were very accommodating to us as we travelled with a baby. All special foods nedded were prepared fresh. The rooms are big and clean. Hospitality was 10/10. Would highly recommend!
