The hotel is very luxurious and has stunning views. As for the hotel staff, especially the restaurant staff, they are very nice and elegant, and the thing I liked the most is that the staff are all from Nashama Jordan, and the breakfast and dinner was very delicious.

Awful…. Hour passed midnight still playing head beating blast of a music, not considering the guests’ comfort … I call and ask for this inconvenience and the manager claims they have a wedding! How about other guests right?! Perhaps they should close the establishment to others on the nights of weddings. Very, very disappointed.

Worst customer service ever and when you complain about it to the management the answer is that the hotel is paying the employees 25% of their original salary. What an excuse. Never going back.

Overrated, very pricey for nothing. You would think you will go there and get back what you pay for the price but no, very poor customer service. We would order drinks they will get us something else and refuse to take it back because the bottle was already opened. I paid more thinking I will get a great customer service and good food but that didn’t happen. Everything was below average so I’m not going back. I don’t recommend this hotel.

I chose Kempensi in regard to my old experience in it. But, we were very shocked in our stay; the service did not meet our expectations, the rooms were very unhygienic, and the room service would not respond to our request unless we have called multiple times and not until 6 pm. Also, whenever we ordered food it took more than an hour to be delivered. In our first night we ordered more than dish, and they were delivered seperately; first dish was delivered an hour late, then the second dish was delivered an hour and a half after recieving the first dish. Plus we even have ordered a club car many times but there was no response to the request. In addition to all of which, we have caught COVID-19 virus from the hotel.

The hotel is very beautiful, the staff are very nice, the attention to detail is eye-catching. The accommodation is comfortable and the rooms are distinctive and worth a try.

Maintenance and quality of products and services can be improved. Had a number of issues in our room. Staff did their best to resolve the problems. Appreciated Ivan checking up on us. Beautiful grounds and view. Loved the shower! Nice pools! Covid safety was good — emphasized masks and had servers at breakfast instead of buffet. Easy access to the sea (naturally rocky) but lots of stairs. Free mud is nice. Disappointed that bath sea salts weren’t offered in the rooms for free like at their other hotel in Aqaba. Food service was very restricted by curfew and that meant rushed meals, slow room service and lower quality cooking than expected. Should be lowering food prices given the situation.

Miserable stay. Poor service, rude employees, lizards were in the bathroom and they made fun of us and did nothing to compensate, we checked in late and asked for a late check out and they didn't approve it, knowing that the hotel is empty and there are plenty of empty available rooms! Wouldn't recommend at all.

I believe it to be one of the best hotels not only in Jordan but in the world it is just wonderful in all aspects!

Ahmad qafini has looked after us so well on our first day here and also today! He has made sure we have had a lovely lunch and made the best Ishtar lemon and mint. The Kempinski is a beautiful hotel and the service has been great!

We had an amazing experience in this beautiful place full of details. The attention of the personal is just perfect. The brunch was delicious with so many options. We love the infinity pool, also taking a quick bath in the Dead Sea and enjoy so much the therapy with the Dead Sea mud. If you are a wanderluster like me, you should visit this place at least one time in your live. 100% recommended.

Nice location and friendly staff, though everything is horribly over priced for a hotel/resort of this stature (claims to be a 5-star resort, though it more resembles a 4-star resort).
Big parts of the resort were shut down, looking like those parts had never been in use, but still indicated on the resort map.

A 5 star experience in a 5 star hotel. An amazing view of the Dead Sea, no matter where you stay. We had a free upgrade to a condo with an amazing view. Highly recommend over neighboring hotels in the area.

Extremely unprofessional concierge service, woman on the reservations line asked me around 4 unnecessary and awkward questions and has an extremely bad attitude! The quality of service at Kempinski has become destroyed! The call was today on July 4th at 5:00pm.

Nice hotel but the checkout is a disaster. The service at so many different parts of the hotel were great but check out was substandard. You want to leave an exceptional last impression. This one was poor. That being said the Dead Sea experience and staff there were superior. There was someone named Waleed who was incredibly kind with showing off the facility. The Thai restaurant was very accommodating to my dietary requirements. Much appreciated. but please consider auto check out. I use it at every other venue.

All around great experience! This place is amazing! Our kids experienced the kids club and LOVED it! All the pools are nothing but the best, food is delicious, service is spectacular! I love it here!

This hotel is far above my class. The likes of the king stay here. For me and my wife, we wanted a place to really relax on our long trip and this place did just that. The Villa was fancy even for my wife and she loves fancy. We didn't have to lift a finger for anything (not use to that). Everyone was waiting on us all we had to do really was walk over to the huge buffet for food. We forgot to bring water to the dead sea but they had water for everyone out there for free. The mud is better applied from the workers because you get a free massage with it. It was kind of nice not to have to tip everyone for every little thing, as an American that was kind of stressing me out. Any kind of pool you’d like is there, quiet, social, kid, shallow, too many pools. We stayed mostly in the infinity pool area because they kept handing out strawberries, water, and that’s where the bar is. They even clean your eye-glasses from time to time, maybe that’s normal for some people but for me I never had that kind of treatment before at a hotel. The best part was the view over the whole dead sea from everywhere you go, besides floating in it. I never had a chance to have a problem because someone is always taking care of you. From the servers at the buffet to the golfcart drivers (you can always hitch a ride, it’s a big place) to the life guards in the sea explaining the mud process ten times because I was kind of hungover, you’re treated like royalty.

2nd time I visit. My first time was in 2010 the hotel was amazing service was exceptional and that's why I was aiming for a second visit with kids when j get a chance. Last week I went there for 3 days. The experience wasn't similar. The resort landscape still beautiful but rooms' furniture and amenities becoming old. Service is good but you feel you always have to tip. We had to ask three times for the mini bar to be replenish. Then we had a dead cockroach in the bathroom which freaked out the kids. Of course the management apologized but that's it. Not sure I would come back.

Absolutely amazing! Worth every penny for extremely clean rooms (turn down twice a day if wanted), excellent staff, and amazing attention to detail. Also, the last night here was the day before my birthday and they brought me a cake to my room without me telling anyone it was my birthday. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. Will recommend to anyone wanting to see the Dead Sea.

The room with its balcony were extremely beautiful and very clean and the view was mesmerizing. The pools are nice. However, the lobby looks dull and the food needs real work. It should’ve been above standard for the amount they discharge for it. And they made me wear specific swimming suit which I had to buy from local gift shop with x5 times its real amount because there weren’t any close-by stores and I found that rude. They also don’t allow any food or drink from outside so you will have to use the overpriced not-so-good restaurants inside.

Dear Kampinski management,
I am very disappointed for the bad service and miss treatment I received at your hotel today, first of all I have changed my room and they applied extra fees on it, I didnt mind and I paid, I entered the room to find it not clean at all, I went swimming and when I came back to my room I found that someone opened the room and left the door open, I come to your hotel regularly and pay extra money than other hotels to have good vacation not bad experience like this where I feel not safe and not appreciated I will be sharing my bad experience with my network.

A humiliating and awful experience.
We have booked this hotel for a family visit three months ahead for a visit back to Jordan after 20 years. We received confirmation and everything was good When we arrived at the hotel security post our name reservation was not on and they would not let us in. We managed after some time to phone the reservation desk from the security post and talked to a Loay at reservation who came up with a story that our credit card was not working and that's why our reservation was cancelled. This obviously was simply not true. We carry a very high credit limit and we used our card earlier in the morning to check out from our Amman Hotel. We tried to discuss with Loay at no avail as Loay would not even agree that we go down to the reception. Obviously we figured out the reason. Apparently the hotel has a party which was set just before we arrived and they bumped us among others to accommodate so " important " people and gave away our rooms. The Jordan Canadians who do not matter to them. I am writing and hope that the senior management or whoever sees this review. It was worse than embarrassing it was humiliating. We ended up going to Marriott who treated us with grace and respect. We ended up paying Extra but I actually did not care. So talk about professionalism and levels of service. They have none. So Loay, we are writing on Social media as promised. Hopefully you will keep your job.

It was in March 2018. Everyone liked it. Service, food and most importantly a very beautiful view of the sea. Breakfasts are plentiful. Salmon, cheese species 5, honey in honeycombs. Bacon, sausages. Don't list everything. Oh, and then there was champagne for breakfast. ) ). A lot of Russians. The sea was warm but a little dirty. Workers on the beach if you smile nicely and chat with them about life you can ask to type dirt in a package. Put in the fridge and remember and smear with mud from the dead sea for a long time. The makeup in the bathroom was amazing. (soap, shampoo, air conditioner, shower gel) the fridge was clogged with chips, water juices (free) and there was water on the beach. The Infiniti basin is very unusual (descent). Someone asked about alcohol. It's there. But yes, expensive. For example a bottle of local wine 45 Dean. That's about 4t rubles. But once you can) ) )

I have been a few times. I love the rooms. Great balcony, amazing bathrooms with big tub, and huge shower. The pools are amazing. The sea is not open at night though, which is a huge bummer. The waitstaff are all extremely accommodating, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Drinks are very expensive as you might guess.

Excellent service, ideal to juggle between dead sea, swimming pool and Lounger.
The private beach of the dead sea is easily accessible. There's mud at will to get on the body.
The main asset of the hotel is their spa. A must if you go to Kepimski.
The breakfast is very good. I advise you to test the UM Ali.
The price of the drinks is correct.

One of the best and biggest 5 stars hotel in dead sea with an amazing location and services. I had the best treatment and service from Kimpinski employees who served me with love and kindness. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are tasty and prepared by the best chefs in town. Prices are little bit expensive but it worth it for sure. Pools and other sections are really entertainment to try and chill. I suggest trying this specific hotel with friends and family to have the best dead sea experience in your life.

Great place to experience the Dead Sea and have a relaxing time by the pool. The service was excellent, especially by the infinity pool. The hotel is quite new and has an interesting design and aesthetic. The rooms are very spacious, but have a surprisingly complicated light switch layout that you can't possibly memorize in a one night stay.

You arrive in the middle of nowhere, which looks very poor and the security gate is already perceived something different. And that is frankly what it is: open a large hotel, that could well be a village. Descend to the dead sea and its private beach — you can drop in cart to it. After you follow the instructions on how to take advantage of the properties of its water and mud, it is a wonder. The service is impeccable. The rooms are a marvel. With sea views and terrace lovely. 10. In the restaurants we eat very well. In the Italian of the pool you can go casual, even from the beach and offers food at almost all hours.

We went there for having a spa day. The staff was very friendly. Facilities were great and well maintained. We had an hour and a half Arabic massage and then the staff had made arrangements to swim in the Dead Sea. We then had a very tasty lunch under lemon trees by an outdoor pool. Everyone was very polite and helpful The hotel is huge and luxurious and has an exotic atmosphere Highly recommended.

This hotel is really luxurious. It has the biggest room I've ever seen in a hotel. My room was standard 5083 on the fifth floor with a fantastic view of the dead sea. I had a huge balcony too where people can sit to smoke or just to enjoy the weather. The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant offer yummy food from all over the world. Many swimming pools are there and the beach by the dead sea was great place. I hope I will be there again and again.

Very disappointed. I'm in this country for two days. My dream is to touch a dead sea. Real dead sea, not from the pool even though the water is from the sea. I'm here in the spa right now and purchased the most expensive spa package they have but they are telling me I cannot go and touch the sea because I'm not a hotel guest. Well, I could have get a room and save the money then because the room is cheaper than what I got. I also want to go and have a lunch after spa but guess what? I cannot do it because I'm not a hotel guest. Very disappointed once again! Nothing against people who helped me out in the spa, nice people. It's the policy I'm mad about.

Amazing hotel. What stood out for me most of everything was the excellent and kind service. The staff is always friendly and cheerful, and we felt very pampered during our stay. A minor point of critique: the slightly outdated decor in some parts of the hotel. This is of course also a matter of personal taste…

No questions asked. If you want to spend quality time with family or friends, this is the place. Guests relation Ivan is a friendly and very helpful staff. All staff are very approachable and helpful. If you don't mind to spend a little more then I would highly recommend it.

We inquired about booking a room with two queen beds for 2 adults and 2 kids, they confirmed the booking. We got there to discover that they don’t offer rooms with queen beds, and they had a room with 2 single beds for our family of 4 instead. They felt little need to help rectify the situation short of charging us for another room. So unimpressed with the unhelpful front desk staff that we just decided to leave. The garish and uninviting design of the front lobby/ground floor seating area made the decision to walk out of the place feel like it was the right move. The Marriott next door was happy to take us in and very friendly about accommodating our last minute booking.

Stayed here 3 times now, most recently in May of 2017. On each of my visits I've stayed in the upgraded Ishtar section of the hotel so I can't comment on the standard guest rooms, but this place is amazing! On my first visit I upgraded to one of their large Jacuzzi Suites which was out of this world. The size of the rooms was massive, probably bigger than some peoples apartments! On my most recent visits I had one of the Ishtar rooms which was equally as impressive and very stylish. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up in a morning. The breakfast is also top notch as is the buffet dinner. Can't wait to come again!

We booked this hotel for 2 nights following a 14 day tour (hectic one) of Israel and Jordan. We have been very pleased. The staff (everyone) went out of their way to be helpful, friendly, professional and to anticipate our every need. We dined at the Italian restaurant one night and the grill by the pool the following night. Both excellent. The sunsets were fantastic. The room was clean, quiet, and well equipped. Special thanks to Ivan Cerio who especially went out of his way to make our stay a great one.

Really large everything, from the lobby, rooms to the gym and spa. The property has a ton of swimming pools and a lot of different levels which will keep you busy for most of your stay. The main attraction is the Dead Sea, that's why we're here to begin with isn't it? But funnily enough, the private beach for the Dead Sea is TINY and tucked away in a corner — the allocated swimming space in the sea is also quite small and can get crowded really fast. Despite the hotel infrastructure being fantastic, the infrastructure for the Dead Sea/beach is not that great and a surprisingly lacking for such a prestigious hotel.

Location is great, establishment offers plenty of space and nice facilities. Breakfast is simply one of the best of all Kempinski hotels we have been to (and guests abuse it so much…). The pools are nice and the restaurants good. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom was very nice too. We had a great time, and would have done more massages/treatments but the prices are quite high (everything is expensive in Jordan really…)

I booked this for my mother and sister, both of whom are celiac. The hotel made this very easy and it really made the visit for them. The manager didn't know what was available so asked the chef to come and consult them. He then made a delicious meal according to their limitations. Breakfast also had a wheat free station. The hotel is incredible and very luxury. It's that extra effort that made their stay exceptional.

Dope hotel. Beds are comfy. But let's be real, no one comes for the beds. Pools are great. One is really deep and for adults only. The others are populated by kids who scream a lot. Food is fine — — breakfast is actually really good. Dead Sea access is nice, private and simple. Life guards are attentive.

Unfortunately I tried to reserve room for my family and I phoned reservation but the girl wasn't comfortable and she wanted to reserve very fast without even give me chance to ask for everything, she thought me I know everything so I wasn't happy to talk with her. She told I must reserve 2 Rooms without guarantee they will be connected it depends on, so I come to stay relaxing or stay my family divided into two parts each one far away, I asked to be sure connected she told me I don't sure "do you want or not? " I felt as I am beggar. So I chose other hotel and I already reserved just now and I am so happy with wonderful talking and welcoming. If you 5 stars hotel please choose friendly persons to answer people.

There isn't much else to do in the dead sea, so you better book yourself into a fancy resort if you're here. Kempinski Ishtar with its NINE different swimming pools will make sure you're never bored. The hotel is very family oriented, but if you prefer not to hang out with kids around, they also have pools that are 14 and above.

Beautiful hotel with great pools and a great children's activity center with helpful/friendly employees I have seen in a hotel in Jordan.

We like the hotel and it is luxury usually. We came back this weekend though and the service near the pool area was shoddy and confused. Also they have ruined the best breakfast view in the country by putting netting up on the terrace breakfast area because a few birds come and eat the crumbs from the ground. Personally I love the birds here especially the starlings. Ans the netting just makes a mockery of the amazing view of the other side. My previous review said this place was expensive but sometimes worth it. Changes like this make the much less expensive Mövenpick next door a more attractive option.

Beautiful hotel with helpful and friendly employees. I stayed in a suite that was stepped from the beach. It was large, gorgeous and of course made having great views easy. It was also just a minute away from an Italian restaurant and about 5 minutes from where you partake in the amazing full breakfast buffet. I'd definitely stay here again when visiting Jordan.

Worst five star hotel service in jordan due to lack of knowledge of how to deal with guests in a polite way that's because they came to my friend room at 1:00 am in the morning to ask his guest about his ID and to pay for his guest pass so I think in my opinion this is so rude and totally wrong to do this a five stars hotel.

The Best hotel in Dead Sea area.

Very bad, noisy rooms, maintenance started at 1am! Cant imagine such a bad service.

Very welcoming and professional staff.

Its an amazing place to stay, my family had an excellent time in this resort. Superb service and nice facilities. Would like to visit again.

Been here four hours haven't been let into my room yet with a toddler that needs a nap.

The hotel is very good, but they can do definitely better, especially for a hotel of this category. We had 2 rooms well in advance, and had asked that they are alongside (or not very far). No Bowl, no one never responded to our mails, and the rooms were really very far apart from each other.
They are also very slow to reception and everything: we waited more than 15 minutes, and only one of the 2 rooms were ready, we still waited 1 h 30 to have the other room pete. Ditto for our luggage, after an hour of waiting and reminders at the front desk, it finally gave us our luggage.
One of the bags has been blocked by security. They have like 2 bottles of Martini. The gentleman told us that only one bottle per person was allowed inside the hotel! Only we were 4 people! We had to negotiate hard to retrieve our bag with bottles.
Otherwise the place, not much to say, it's clean and well maintained, in the standards of the big hotels.

Had a rest with her son nine years in this hotel at the end of October. The first impression was good, but very deteriorated over time ( ( ( (the food horrible, even gets poisoned twice, and nobody is taking pains, spa treatments just for exorbitant prices ( ( (food and drinks are expensive, especially alcohol. So sober vacations provided) ) ). The numbers are excellent, but in need of repair, the crack or something, the closet door is blocked. Flies-it is a separate subject. In my life seen so many flies (shit feel). Entrance to the sea very dangerous, you can kill. Children do there, except that in the pool. Here's just a feast for the service from the staff. The complete lack of animation, so boring things.

We stayed in august 2013 and decided to cut our stay short mostly because of the lack or service and the little service we got was sad : ( Pros: architecture, pools, room cleanliness, breakfast was good. cons: 1) service is horrible. Nobody wants to help or get you anything. 2) Furniture is really beaten up for a five star anything. In the lobby and defiantly in the room. 3) Dinner was horrible. Unsatisfactory grilled foods and dry everything. 4) did I mention nobody wants to get you anything or service you at any of the pools or restaurants. Save your money and go to the Marriott next door.

It's the best hotel I have ever been.
