Nui is a cool hostel in a great location. The staff at Nui are so lovely!

One of the best hostels I've ever been to. The food is top notch and the bsr/cafe is a wlgreat place to meet travellers and locals and hang out. The rooms are comfortable and quite clean. Each bunk in the dorms has a privacy curtain. A small detail, for sure, but that little thing made my stay so much better.

Nui is an amazing hostel. Good beds, good food, clean and a great vibe. But most importantly the staff is the best!

Superb ambience, good location and comfy beds. Neat hostel with a pretty cool decor as well. The location is great, only a few minutes walk from the subway station. The restaurant has great food and lots of drink choices. Staff was super friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend staying here or stopping for a bite to eat or some drinks.

I was really surprised by this place. It's a nice hangout in Tokyo that doesn't feel like Tokyo at all. Very mellow, spacious and Brooklyn-like, maybe because it's just a block away from the Sumida river. There are racks for bicycles outside and bench to sit on as you enjoy your craft beer.

The layout of the lounge allows for an area to work and socialize while having a coffee or beer. The friendly staff have great recommendations and will help you with whatever you may need. It is a relatively short commute to the city center, so I don't have any real complaints.

This is a pretty decent hostel. There are many rooms but each floor has its own set of sinks, toilets, and showers so it's still very convenient. They only problem is if you are on the second floor, everything on the first floor especially the music beat can be heard. It isn't that bad except the bar closes at 1am so it can be hard to sleep even with earplugs because the vibrations can be felt.

Super hip hostel, loved by locals for its atmospheric bar (still hopping around 11). The beds were great and we slept well. Breakfast was awesome and had a wide selection of fresh pastries and awesome lattes. Decent location as well.

Nui Hostel has everything you could need for a comfortable and sociable stay in Tokyo. Communal areas are perfectly clean and organised. Staff are great. Quality of food and drink is superb. Location is ideal with Asakusa and Ueno in walking or cycling distance if you want a break from the metro.

Lounge/bar area was very lively and inviting. Enjoyed doing some work with a drink in hand. Dormitory room was too hot/stuffy at night but that's about my only complaint. Staff accidentally broke my water bottle while holding onto my luggage but we're immediately extremely apologetic and even offered me some free snacks from the bar area. Overall a good experience, would definitely come back here to socialize more if I came to Tokyo again.

Rubbish place. Stay at the APA hotel 100 Mtrs away half the price of the hostel and you get a PROPER mattress and bed and a bathroom.
This place is crap and the photos do NOT reflect the hostel.
Stay anywhere else but here.

Super relaxed vibes, amazingly friendly staff, biggest beer I've ever downed. Overall Nui has been an exceptional stay, and I'm excited to come back!

Cool bar, the design of the bar area is really sweet with a tree in the middle of it and all. Great place to meet new people and chat. I didn't stay at the hostel but the bar is great. Drinks are a bit pricy but not outrageous.

An excellent hostel to stay in. The area is well connected with 2 metro stations and 5 lines all within a 10 minute walk. The ambiance in the bar; which serves basic food, great coffee, beer, cocktails and of course sake — is buzzing with a 20'-s-30's crowd. Up to the room itself: basic, clean and comfy and the shared toilets are spotless. This place is CASH ONLY though… so remember to bring some, if not there is an ATM 2 mins away.

The best hostel in the world without a doubt.

I liked it, the price is not worth it, is away from the attractions, has good point to take Metro and to get to Narita airport, is a good place, but for that price can improve quite.

Nice places with a staff always smiling and available. Very small rooms without too much possibility of storage but it feels good.

Amazing hostel. Beds are comfortable, showers are great, dorm rooms are reasonably sized and reasonably priced for being in Tokyo. The common room is used by both guests and locals, which creates a terrific atmosphere to meet people. Location is decent. Close to two subway lines and a 10 minute walk to Asakusa. Will come back whenever I'm in Tokyo!

Nice clean hostel. Very cool cafe/bar in the bottom. Comfy beds with blinds for privacy, top floor is a big communal area with a kitchen and lounge. Not particularly social though.

I only visited the bar here, but have to say it is a really good backpackers bar. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and easy to meet people. Would recommend.

The bar has a very relaxed setting. It uses wood (or faux wood) in much of its design. There is a fair amount of comfortable seating but also standing room. The bar has several cocktails and only a few beers. Prices on cocktails are normal but I thought beer prices for foreign beers were a little high. There are two single person bathrooms. One for ladies and one both gender. Service was good but there were only two guys working the bar so if there was a line, you might wait a little.

Great place to stay! Close to the train station, wonderful breakfast, amazing service, comfortable lounge area. Beds have privacy with a curtain, there’s lockable lockers in the room too.

Really liked the bar area and the staff were nice, if a bit offish. The big problem was the room. We were in a private twin and it was like a prison cell. Concrete walls, concrete floor, no curtains, no mirror, it was cold. Slightly too hipster for it's own good.

Very nice hostel. Staff is friendly and helpful. For breakfast, excellent croissants are offered as well as very good coffee. Dorms as well as shared areas and bathrooms were very clean.

Very good location, the hardware and software facilities are very complete, the service staff here are fluent in English and no accent, I have slept the most comfortable bed, soft and hard moderate, and more importantly, the service staff here is very enthusiastic, the kind of enthusiasm seems to life full of hope, even with the exhaustion of sweeping the journey, really recommend this place!

First time in Japan and first time at Nui and I gotta say, WOW. It's made to look a little beat up, but at the same time it has modern features. Rooms and showers are extremely clean, bar on the first floor is great. Customer service is through the roof! They treated us so nice, all the bartenders were super chill, kitchen staff super friendly. No other hostel will deliver as well as Nui did.

Clean and nice design. The bar has some delicious food (pork yakisoba) and this is a great place to stay in Tokyo near Sky Tree and other attractions.

I can't comment on the hostel, but the bar lounge was fantastic. Cool atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. The food was quite good too. They even make a cherry coke, which is not easy to find in Tokyo. Stop by if you get a chance.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Extremely well kept, super friendly/helpful staff, directly next to train station and convenient stores. The bottom floor is a bar frequented by backpacker's and locals, the top is a lounge/kitchen/washer/dryer for guests. They have TONS of info on tours and what to do in the area as well as themed nights like a sushi night or flower night. Seriously an amazing experience. Can't recommend it enough. Oh you can rent bikes too and it's right on the river!

Great hostel, good prices although it's not the closest to many places. The staff here are great, very friendly and helpful. The bar gets busy at night with locals mixed in with backpackers so it's a great environment.

Clean dorms and bathrooms, lively bar and lounge downstairs, friendly staff, luggage storage, near Asakusa Metro Line. Great atmosphere even on a weekday! Only con is maybe that the dorms have no sound barriers between the beds. People are considerate though. One of the best all around.

Beautiful Guesthouse in Asajusa, Tokyo. Equipment partly at hotel level and an impressive bar which is also visited by people from the neighborhood. Sometimes a little noisy if late guests come back but this is to be expected at such accommodations. Definitely the recommendation for Tokyo.

Nui is your classic hipster bar meets hostel. The décor is earthy and metal with tree stump tables and brass and copper everywhere. The rooms are simple and clean — toilets are on every floor and coed.

Very nice place to sleep in Tokyo. In quiet area close to transit and sights. Nice lounge as well. Would recommend.

Hostel is very clean, good location, and has all the amenities you could want in a hostel. There is a very popular bar and restaurant at the bottom which is usually quite busy. Price is a bit expensive but it is in Tokyo. Would recommend.

A stunning hostel/bar with the most welcoming and friendly staff! The highlight of the trip so far has been this beautiful venue! Could not recommend more.

Hip and lively hostel+cafe+bar! Close to 2 subway stations. Stayed in private double bed room. Room was small and can barely open my luggage on the floor. Bed was comfortable. Shared bathroom is very clean and organized. Cafe/bar on the first floor attracts a lot of people. It closes around 1 am so it can be quite busy and loud near the elevator and the common room on the highest floor. Elevator closes after 10 pm or something, if I remember correctly, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs if you arrive late. Overall a pleasant stay and great experience!

This is my second year staying at Nui, staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. Accomodation is affordable and pleasant. All things included and easy to access from train station. I recommend Nui to everyone I know and will continue to stay here for years to come!
