Great place. Good location right by a subway station. It was very easy getting around. The hotel is very new and clean. The rooms are a bit in the small size as every other hotel room in Tokyo, but it wasn as bad as expected. We were both able to unfold our suitcases on the floor. The bathroom is very small, but it has everything you need. The shower has nice pressure and temperature. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

I have been to Japan (and Tokyo) eight times now, including staying in 2, 000¥ per night hostels, and this is by far, the worst of the lot. — Staff are rude, abrupt, and lack any hospitality manners. They can all speak good English, and we saw the majority were non-Japanese, however could speak Japanese. — If you are used to typical Japanese hospitality and above and beyond service, don't expect it here. We had interactions with over five different staff members, and they all ranged from disinterested to outright obtuse and rude. Room — is small (which is fine on its own), however had a lingering musty and smoky smell. This had probably been a smoking room, possibly recently, however was advertised and paid for as a non-smoking room. Bathroom — one of the smallest I've seen in Japan. The toilet does not fit properly in the bathroom — the seat actually is on an angle to allow it to fit. Your legs will be crammed up against the bathroom door while seated. Location — is the only positive, however not enough to save it from a "terrible" rating. Higashi-Shinjuku station is just outside to the left, and is a decent starting point for your travels around Tokyo. I would not recommend this location/hotel for families. Higashi-Shinjuku as a location would be fine for younger people, as it is one of the red light districts in Tokyo. There will be sirens from emergency vehicles going off at all hours. Don't expect typical Japanese hospitality here.

This hotel is in a great location in Shinjuku and right next to a train station. We found it really easy to get around Tokyo from here and it is next to 3 convenience stores which we found useful. Our room was smaller than western hotels but not as small as other people made it out to be. It was great for us but if you are tall you might struggle with the size of the bathroom with that being so small.

100 feet from higashi Shinjuku station. Rooms are small but price is great for location. Very safe neighborhood compared to staying right in Shinjuku. Wouldn't run the AC despite website saying they have access to cut costs. Was difficult to sleep as a result. Windows are superb at cutting out street noise when closed but couldn't since rooms were hot. Laundry dryer doesn't work well due to being 100v model.

Very convenient location, right above the train station. However, note that the nearest train station exit (right beside the hotel) does not have a lift and may post a problem for travelers with a lot of luggage. The hotel feels quite new and well furnished. Toilet is very small even by tokyo standards. Convenient stores nearby with food places that open till late. Giving 4-stars mainly due to convenience.

Rooms were quite small but very neat, sleek, functional, and comfortable. Staff were accommodating, easy to communicate with, and knowledgeable. The only thing to take into consideration is that the building is not secure, and you can gain access to all floors without a keycard. Wouldn't stay there alone, but with others it was quite enjoyable.

Great hotel in a great location! It is right next to the subway station so getting around Tokyo is easy. There are a multitude of places to eat nearby with so many different cuisines available. Less than 500m to the Shinjuku night life area with great night spot like Robot Restaurant & the Golden Gai with its skinny bars! The staff are very friendly and helpful & their English is very good. This place has a laundry in it and vending machines with coffees and beers. Highly recommended for English speaking tourists.

The size of the centre of Tokyo, such places and prices do not require a lot of people are very friendly, there can speak Chinese, the room is also quite clean, sound insulation is also good.
3, 4 floors There are washing machines, clothes dryers, vending machines can be used. The left side of the hotel is less than 10 seconds East Shinjuku A1 export, very convenient, but if the luggage large packet, suggested from A2 or A3 out, there are elevators can be boarded.

I travelled as a couple with my husband, first leg of our trip to Japan… definitely very small rooms but they only serve to sleep so for us it was more than enough! You have to get used to the bathroom! A closet… but provided with everything… excellent cleanliness… every day changing sheets, they provide you with nightgown and slippers… every day clean! I repeat used only for the great overnight stay. Out of the Metro exit and well soundproofed!

My rating of this hotel is based on the following points: Location: 9/10 — The hotel is centrally located, next to the Metro with direct lines for both Shinjuku and Shibuya. Close to the hotel there are many restaurants, fast food and convenience stores (like the 7-Eleven).
Room: 6/10 — cleanliness in the standard, extremely small rooms, the bathroom is a miracle as they have managed in 2 m2 to place everything you need. The view of the rooms can be both on the back and on the prefectural 305. We suitcases we could not unpack them for both the small size and the lack of cupboards.
Staff: 8/10 — the hotel staff proved to be very kind and helpful, even if only 1 person speaks Italian and we met her on the last day. They are very strict on check-in time as before the 15:00 they do not let you access the room.
Price: 7/10 — Estimated all the complex, I consider it satisfactory value for money, as we paid just under €700 for 1 week in 2.
Total Score: 7, 5/10 PS: A smoking area is available in the alley next to the hotel reserved for guests, very useful for those who smoke because smoking areas in the area are hard to find.

Advantage: The location is great, next to the subway exit, there is an elevator on the diagonal corner.
Tang Gillide (the hall) is very near, will pass through the supermarket and the convenience store.
Nearby is the Korean street to eat the roast meat. Disadvantage: A lot of guests, the counter is very busy. The room is "very small", is "a suitcase can not open" degree, the toilet is not to mention. If there is no budget or location to consider the proposal to change a family, love, like sticking together on the comparison is not bad.

Rooms are so tiny that there is no space even for a single bag! The bathroom is like on a submarine — claustafobic. But very nice and clean. Great stay, and would come back again.

Unfriendly, rude staffs. Everything was fine. Room is not bad and the hotel is right next to the station. But the staffs are super rude. They don't even call you gently. They were just shouted like "Check in! Check in! " on the desk. And they never smiled, looked like angry people for all the times. I have visited Japan for 6 times but this hotel is the only one that I felt bad.

Very clean and good location for metro subway. Small-ish but as expected. Friendly staff.

About a 10-15 minute walk to Shinjuku station. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was pretty small, not much space for luggage or anywhere to put your clothing. The coffee shop downstairs had decent food for breakfast.

I had a great time! Sure the rooms are small, but it is the standard of Tokyo, and the price is really excellent. The location is great, Shinjuku is gorgeous! As soon as you get off the train at Shinjuku station take the line F (the brown one) and with just 170 yen get off at Higashi-Shinjuku, Gate A1, and you will be under the hotel! If you want to walk is very easy, you just take 10 minutes crossing the main street. If you have breakfast included you will do it at Tully's Bar just below the hotel.

This is a great hotel! It's near the station and there are two different convenience stores right next to it. It's also right next to Tully's Coffee, which is where their breakfast coupons are for. My only complaint is that what you get for the breakfast coupons is delicious but hardly sufficient. But the hotel is great, so just skip the breakfast option and just go eat at 711. My favorite thing about this hotel besides the location is that if you put up your do not disturb sign, they will leave you a bag of clean towels and amenities.

Hotel where to stay in Tokyo if you want to visit the city and use the hotel just as a base to change and sleep. It is next to the E line stop. The rooms are small and the bathroom also but it is clean and the bed comfortable.

Biggest problem is rooms are very small. Even I was alone but I took for 2 people but it was too small. But this is normal for Japan. Location is good, it s clean.

Located 15 minutes away from chuo main station. Rooms are pretty small but that's typical and Tokyo. Accidentally booked my father and I a double bed and they allowed us to change to two twin beds once there was enough space in the hotel. Offers 500 yen coupon for Tully's Coffee if you choose the breakfast included option. Not a great deal for breakfast to be honest but the rest is great.

This place is a good value. Great views from the rooms, and the breakfast at the coffee shop downstairs was just what we needed to start the day.

Decent and clean hotel. The rooms are very small, and in my case without any view. Probably the smallest hotel bathroom I have seen. The hotel provided slippers, a robe and other amenities needed, including a bottle of water per person. The staff was efficient and friendly.

Modern nice and clean rooms. Room are not big (standard tokyo room) the stuff talks english, are friendly and helpful. Near the Hotel: Larwson Store, Hotto Motto (Japanese good to go), resaurants, a big Supermarket, Trullys (Coffee).

Super easy to find, staff really welcoming. Plus they have a washing machine and a dryer which is very useful for long trip. Room a bit small but really cosy and comfortable.

The location of the hotel is convenient if you don't mind a short walk to all the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku's main roads. If you're only using JR pass for travel then this hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the station you can use it at. The room was small but that's expected. Very clean and modern. The 2 free bottles of water each day was a bonus — used to paying top dollar for this in Sydney-AUS! I would stay again! :)

We stayed in Tokyo during Easter 2015. The prices were below average. The location is great, close to the center of Shinjuku and near from metro's station Higashi. The size of the room are very minimal. Staff friendly and helpfully.

Considering how cheap this hotel is I was stunned by; A) how convenient the location is and B) how efficient the staff are. The only downside I can think of is the price you have to pay for laundry.

Pros: Of the 3 hotels I stayed in, this is the only one with a international power interface. Cons: 1 The hotel is next to a busy street, so it's noisy on the lower floors. According to them, all single rooms are on the lower floors. 2 Light control is at weird locations, took me 5 mins to find it in the dark. 3 If you lose your room card, they charge you 3, 000 Yen.

Muy bien Ubicado, limpieza aceptable, personal más que educados y serviciales un 100 Abajo hay una cafetería Tullys que puedes desayunar con 700 yenes (aprox 5 euros) Habitaciones pequeñas para Europa pero normales para japón, Wc con calentador.

(My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. You need that sort of thing when you like to do all your trip planning at the very last minute. ).

Great location. But the room is extremely small even by Japanese standard. It was not possible to fully open your suitcase on the floor.

Location is everything: This hotel is literally next to the subway which gives you access to all the rails you need to explore Tokyo. Across the street is a restaurant of good old familiar North American cuisine. By that I mean McDonald's :) Great tip: If you need to break larger bills. Just head to the McDonald's across the street, get a cheap meal for the day and not have to go to a bank ;D they'll take what ever you got. No matter how large the bill ;D Amenities: The hotel room was stocked with accessories you may of forgotten. Fold-able hair combs, tooth paste and tooth brush. Green Tea and Mango Tea? packs were available in the room all complimentary. On each floor are the amazing Japanese vending machines chalk full of cold and hot drinks. On average you will pay 30 to 50 more yen per item than going onto the street. But its not a rip off and worth the convenience of not going outside 3 am in the morning. If you want to iron your clothing, you have to get it from the front desk and return it later, its a portable "wireless" iron, since you heat it than iron and reheat. It was surprisingly fast and efficient :O Staff: The staff spoke sufficient English to check-in and check-out (just in case you don't know any Japanese at all). At this particular hotel the staff did seem a bit jaded but it's a rarity cause the rest of Tokyo's people were very enthusiastic. :D Room: Finally the room. Very efficient and smaller than what were used to in North America.
