Honestly, I don't understand why people would give bad reviews of this hotel, especially those who were placed here in gratis, due to their delayed flights and etc. Beggars can't be choosers, thus shouldn't be too fussy about it. I stayed here for one night courtesy of Hotel Nikko Narita and I had a good experience, with the exception of the ventilation. Well, I like cold weather but the heater was too warm and I couldn't make it less warm so I had to open the window (in spite of instructions on the window not to) to let some cool air in. First of all, I liked it that there are regular free shuttle buses to and from Narita airport (from bus stop no. 33 at Terminal 2, bus stop no. 16 at Terminal 1) provided by the hotel. There are also free shuttle buses to JR Narita station and Aeon Shopping Mall. Alternatively, you can ride the local bus which also stops here at certain intervals. The room (no. 989) that I stayed in was decent, not luxurious but good enough for me. There's a nice tub, Shiseido (資生堂) face wash pump and other premium toiletries. From the 9th floor, the view was serene and calming, maybe this is what frustrated travellers who had delayed flights need — look out from your window and get your zen moment already. The Wi-Fi connection speed was very fast, or rather fast enough for me. Perhaps people who got used to downloading BitTorrent files or used peer-to-peer programs and attempted to try it at the hotel ended up disappointed and so, gave an unfair review instead. While having breakfast the next morning at Serena restaurant (casual resort dining, according to the hotel), I glanced out to the beautiful garden outside and it really lured me to wanting to go out and check it out but I got up late and had less than an hour to finish my breakfast before the hotel closes their breakfast service at 10:00. What surprised me most about the hotel is that they have a vitamins and other supplements section. You can get your fill of iron, L-carnitine, vitamin C and a lot more of others. Good breakfast! Japanese and Western selections. If in the middle of the night you need some snack or a quick grab of drinks, there's a convenience store (Lawson) downstairs, on the right side of the hotel reception, walk straight ahead and you will find it.
